SOAP Tag causing issue integrating BPEL and OSB

Hi,
I have developed one project in which BPEL JMS adapter enqueues the message into JMS queue and OSB proxy service dequeues the message from that queue and process it further.
Now, the problem is that BPEL JMS adapter doesn't add SOAP envelope/header/body tags to the message but OSB proxy service requires those tags to be there with the message. OSB proxy service gives the following error:
"com.bea.wli.sb.context.BindingLayerException: The message must be an instance of: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Envelope."
Is there any way that OSB proxy service can process the message not having SOAP envelope tags attached to it.
Thanks

Hi mneelapu,
Thanks for the solution. Could you let me know in which Variable JMS will capture the data because I need to assign the to the body variable before calling the Business servcie that is WSDL based.
Thanks.

  • XSLT and XQuery recommendation for BPEL and OSB

    Hi,
    1. Why is XQuery recommeded for OSB and XSLT for BPEL. Are there any specific performance optimization reason behind this.
    2. Apart from OSB and BPEL, both XSLT and XQuery has xml transformation options and creating HTML. What is the difference between these two.
    Thanks in advance!

    you can create the graphical view of Xquery in Eclipse but not for XSLT
    Xquery is much faster than XSLT in OSB.
    Through XSLT however you can achieve more complex transformation.
    OSB has its historic origins in BEA Aqalogic stable and so Xquery was widely used used even though XSLT is supported. It is a matter of choice(your standards in your organization,your developer skillsets,your re-usable libraries etc )
    In Jdeveloper you can develop xslt in graphical mode though and attain complex transformation

  • Integration BPEL and Oracle Applications

    Hi,
    We are using Oracle Applications 11i
    Is there any documentation that exploring the Integration Oracle Application using BPEL Technology? or any customer experience using BPEL for their Oracle Application?
    Need advice
    Thanks

    There's an Oracle Applications adapter which assists in browsing the interfaces to Oracle Apps 11i.x. You can find more info on adapters at the OTN page: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/index.html, and there you will find a data sheet on the Oracle Apps adapter (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/pdf/DS_OracleASAdapter_EBS.pdf)

  • Mac upgrade to 10.8.3 causes issues in mail and google chrome

    After upgrading my computer to 10.8.3 th other day, I have been having quite a few issues.
    I have a 2011 Macbook Pro.
    The first thing I noticed was that after closing the lid (and the computer sleeps), mail will disconnect, and show the triangle icon with the exclamation mark in the middle. WHen I click on it, it says 'Unable to connect. There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “Gmail” or try again. The server returned the error: The server “imap.gmail.com” cannot be contacted on port 993.'
    When I open connection doctor, it looks like this:
    But most of the time, the top light is green and the 2 underneath are red.
    I have checked the settings an it allows SSL.
    THe only thing that seems to fix it is to quit mail every time after sleep, which is getting very tiresome. Please help!
    THe other issue I have is that when I open google chrom (after sleep), the wifi is connected and working but web pages will not load for a couple of minutes after I have opened the computer. And, the first page that I load shows up like this:
    Then, the internet seems to come on and I can open a new tab and access any other website. But, for the first page that I load, it will not connect to the page for at least another couple of minutes. Even when other tabs/sites are working, the first site chosen just shows up with this screen, over and over when refreshed, even though the internet is working.
    This happens when I close the lod for even a couple of seconds or when I try to turn the wifi on/off.
    The same thing happens when I tried using safari.
    Please help! This is so frustrating!

    In my experience, it may take a few seconds to reconnect, but that's the maximum.
    I use iCloud and Comcast, so I'm not familiar with how Gmail performs, but it's related to how quickly their respective mail servers reconnect.
    It could also be related to the performance of your wifi router. Is its firmware up to date?
    I'm using an Airport Extreme and don't have the issues that you are reporting.

  • Sbs2008 seems to want to ping everything in IPv6 and cannot see a lot of hosts by DNS name - causing issues with RWW and Connect to My Computer

    HI,
    we have an SBS2008, has been working fine for a long time, don't know when or why this issue has started.
    A user couldn't connect to PC using RWW - so I checked rdp to that pc from the server and also couldn't rdp to pc - checked ping and couldn't find host = no DNS (although there IS an entry in DNS).  Ping by IP is fine 192.168.10.114
    Added host entry for this PC and all works fine
    BUT...
    there are other users with the same problem, and when i ping other devices by name from the SBS it either can't see them, or it uses IPv6 - something i think i remeber us disabling (with the help of Microsofdt Support) year sago when the server went in,
    and had internet DNS issues.
    I have tried flushing dns cache on server to no avail.
    All PCs show in the SBS console as status "unknown" which i have seen before with DNS issues.
    can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    JJ

    Hi,
    Lets make sure we are running Single NIC on the server. DNS pointing to Servers IP Address itself. Disable TaskOffloading and Receive Side Scaling on the NIC and reboot the server.
    Note - Don't disable IPV 6

  • Which RFCs causing issues in system

    Hi All,
    We have an issue with the RFC response times in CRM and need investigstion. We need to know Which RFCs causing issues in CRM and how we can solve the problems.
    Kindly let me know as earliest as possible.
    Regards

    have a look here:
    ST03
    Go to EXPERT MODE
    if the problem is happening now then you could use last minute load ( for a specific user for example)
    if you have no cllue , or it happens always:
    workload, Total , day, "today"
    in the analysys views: RFC Profiles
    now it depends on if you are using it as server or client, there you see all FM's called via RFC ; number of calls, total execution time, etc.
    Hope this is usefull;

  • Issue while integrating  OID and BPEL.

    Issue while integrating OID and BPEL.
    We followed steps mentioned in for integration. WE have two SoA instances, home, oc4j_soa.

    configure_oid.bat ran successfully.
    But when we try restarting SoA, it gives error. If we replace the above to point to XML-based jazn then SoA starts succcessfully.
    Please let us know if we are missing anything.

    Usage:
    opmnctl [<scope>] status [<options>] [host port]
    Notes:
    - if host,port is specified, contact opmn on host,port;
    otherwise, contact opmn in local ias instance.
    scope:
    @instance(:name)*|@cluster
    scope specifies how far to apply the query. To apply the query to
    all known iAS Instances, specify "cluster". To apply the query
    to a specific set of 1 or more iAS Instances, specify
    "instance(:instname(:instname...))". If no names are supplied
    in an instance scope string then the request is applied to the
    "local" instance. In this context, "local" means the instance
    containing the opmn server handling the request.
    Default: local iAS Instance.
    Options:
    [ias-component|oc4j-group]=id
    - filter output by ias-component name
    - i.e. filter output by oc4j-group name
    -l - pre-selected long output format:
    %cmp32%prt18%pid7R%sta8%uid10R%mem8R%utm9R%por
    -fmt <fmtlist> - output format (see details below)
    Option "-fmt <fmtlist>" and "-l" are mutually exclusive
    -fsep <string> - field separator (default:" | ")
    -rsep <string> - record separator (default:"\n")
    -noheaders - don't print a header
    -c <count> - number of times to print status (default:1)
    -i <nsecs> - seconds between each print (default:5)
    -app [-l] - application status (optional long format)
    -port - opmn "request" host and port (scope
    argument invalid)
    Format String Syntax:
    <fmtlist> - A single string containing one or more statistic
    identifiers concatenated together where each identifier has
    the following format: %<statname>[<width>[<justification>]]
    default: %cmp32%prt18%pid7R%sta8
    <statname> - Must be one of the following:
    ins - iAS Instance Name
    cmp - iAS Component Id
    prt - Process Type Id
    prs - Process Set Id
    idx - Index of process in Process Set
    pid - OS Process Identifier
    uid - Opmn Unique Id
    typ - Name for this kind of process
    sta - Process status
    stm - start time (ms)
    utm - up time (ms)
    cpu - cpu time (ms)
    mem - memory used (Kb)
    pme - private memory (Kb)
    sme - shared memory (Kb)
    hpz - heap size (Kb)
    por - Port List
    <width> - The number of columns to use for this field. Output
    less than this value will receive padding according to the
    specified justification. Output more than this value will
    be truncated and terminated with '~'.
    default: the width of each datum
    <justification> - How to justify output when less than the width.
    Must be L, R, or C (left, right, or center justification).
    default: L

  • How To : Call External Webservice from BPEL and pass SOAP Message to the WS

    Hello All-
    Greetings to all BPEL gurus. I am currently facing difficulties in calling an External Webservice from my BPEL Process and passing SOAP Message to it. The details are below:
    <strong>1. The BPEL process, using database polling feature of DB Adapter, will get the records from the database.</strong>
    <strong>2. Transform the message</strong>
    <strong>3. Call the External Webservice and pass the transformed message as the input to it. However the Webservice expects the BPEL process to send SOAP headers in the input message.</strong>
    I am struggling on how to put the transformed message within a SOAP envelope in the BPEL process.
    If anyone had similar requirements and have successfully been able to send SOAP messages from BPEL process to an external webservice, kindly let me know.
    Also if there is some kind of documentation or any link in the forum that I can refer, please let me know that as well.
    I am new to Webservice integration using BPEL and would really appreciate your help.
    Thanks In Advance

    Hi Dharmendra,
    I am trying to send a SOAP message from my BPEL process to a web service. I have a complete SOAP message in a complex variable defined in the wsdl for the partnerlink (web service). My problem is that when I invoke the partnerlink it fails even though the content shown in the BPEL console looks valid.
    I have set up obtunnel to see what I am actually sending out from BPEL. You mention that BPEL creates the SOAP envelope automatically.
    I think that my problem is a result of this automatic SOAP envelope that BPEL is creating. Do you know if there is a way to turn it off?
    This is what I see in the TCP monitor, please note the double SOAP env:Body:

    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope /”>
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soap-env:Body xmlns:soap-env=”http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope /”>
    <TransactionAcknowledgement xmlns="">
    <TransactionId>HELLO EXTERNAL</TransactionId>
    <UserId>MC</UserId>
    <SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType>
    </TransactionAcknowledgement>
    </soap-env>
    </soap-Envelope>*
    but they need only following message.
    * <TransactionAcknowledgement xmlns="">
    <TransactionId>HELLO EXTERNAL</TransactionId>
    <UserId>MC</UserId>
    <SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType>
    </TransactionAcknowledgement>*
    Following are the log message printing in my log.
    Following message we have to send
    <TransactionAcknowledgement><TransactionId>HELLO EXTERNAL</TransactionId><UserId>MC</UserId><SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType></TransactionAcknowledgement>>
    Then we are applying inlinedXML() on above message and getting following message
    After function fn-bea:inlinedXML
    EMCMSSL Body ::::::
    <Body xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <Body xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

    <TransactionId>HELLO EXTERNAL</TransactionId>
    <UserId>MC</UserId>
    <SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType>
    </TransactionAcknowledgement>
    </Body>
    Finally we are printing the outbound variable
    Outbound variable:

    </con:transport>
    <con:security>
    <con:doOutboundWss>false</con:doOutboundWss>
    </con:security>
    </con:endpoint>>
    But I am not getting how the client is receiving soap header.
    please suggest for the same.

    Hi All.
    For removing the namespace from header I found following function but not sure how tom implement it for my requirement.
    Pleae help if possible.
    I need a XQuery function to remove name space from my xml message.
    my message is
    <Body xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <TransactionAcknowledgement xmlns="">
    <TransactionId>HELLO MSSL</TransactionId>
    <UserId>MC</UserId>
    <SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType>
    </TransactionAcknowledgement>
    </Body>
    I need
    <Body xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <TransactionAcknowledgement xmlns="">
    <TransactionId>HELLO MSSL</TransactionId>
    <UserId>MC</UserId>
    <SendingPartyType>SE</SendingPartyType>
    </TransactionAcknowledgement>
    </Body>
    Function I found is
    declare namespace xf = "http://tempuri.org/vijfhuizen/com/myMessage/";
    declare function xf:strip-namespace($e as element())
    as element()
    element { xs:QName(local-name($e)) }
    for $child in $e/(@*,node())
    return
    if ($child instance of element())
    then xf:strip-namespace($child)
    else $child
    declare variable $e as element() external;
    xf:strip-namespace($e)
    I have created the function but not suire how to execute it.

  • BPEL and Content DB's  performance issue

    Hello,
    We are using an integration between BPEL and ContentDB, we do have a workflow configuration set on a particular folder where a workflow is triggered on the "Create" event. When BPEL does receive this event, a webservice is called afterwards. This webservice involves a call against the ContentDB API (for instance, we create an upload operation).
    Everything is fine when a few documents are handled, but the system fails when more than 100 documents are created.
    We figured out that instead of having one instance of the workflow running, we are actually having 100 instances of the workflow running concurrently...
    So we thought that tuning the application tier would have resolved the issue. But we are still stucked because we hit system limitations (OC4J_CONTENT jvm Xmax sizing increased from 256 to 512 Mo)
    Is there a way to setup contentdb to make it triggers WF operation progressively (using ramp up or queueing ?).
    Cheers,

    Assuming your BPEL processes are connecting to Content DB using Java exec call-out blocks, you could have some of common FDK (ManagersFactory) Web Service session pool - and essentially block until a session is released/made available. This would throttle the incoming load from BPEL on the OC4J_Content instance.

  • ITunes Library and ID3 Tags cause confusion

    Okay, so this is what happens. I play a song that has Garage as the genre, but right after I double click on it, the genre changes to Other, and the track name shortens. Now, this doesn't happen with every file, but it happens with enough files to get really annoying. And no matter how many times I change it, it will always revert when I play the song.
    I have an idea of what's happening, but I don't know how to fix it. My hypothesis is that the data in the ID3 Tag and the iTunes library are different, and when I edit the song tags in iTunes, it is changing the library data, but not the ID3 tag on the song file. I would use an ID3 tag editor, but all of them I have seen do not give access to Grouping and some of the other fields. I also use Serato Scratch Live, which accesses my iTunes music, for DJing.
    Is there anyway to tell iTunes that it needs to write tag data to the ID3 on the song? I have searched preferences, but there is nothing concerning this.

    YES... this is seriously messed up. It was the same issue in 7.5 and is now obviously present in 7.6. I would guess that many people don't see it because they never do anything with their mp3s after they are in the library, or if they make tag changes they never have to reimport the files. Or they don't care.
    I've spent a LOT of time over the past 6 months cleaning up tags, adding details, adding artwork and ripping CDs and now have about 500gigs of tunes in my library. The symptom is the same.. after I've changed or added tags they look fine. If I then bring them into itunes on another mac (this is a shared drive) the edited tags all disappear and revert to either what they were before my edits, or disappear completely. Interestingly (maybe a hint as to whats happening) if I embedded artwork in the file, IT stays, but other tags revert/disappear.
    What is the deal here? I can't really see any pattern, some mp3s were downloaded, some were ripped by me, some are CBR others VBR. I have full read/write permissions. MOST of the time I can edit tags and it sticks. its about 10-15% of them that have problems. I've also tried changing the tag to NONE to remove it and then create a new one but that doesnt consistently fix things either. Its either a conflict between the iTunes database and the embedded tags as you suggest or perhaps a conflict between different ID3 versions.
    I'd like to hear how other people have got around this... Looks like I've got about 15% of six months of on again off again work down the drain since the tags don't exist in the files (or they're corrupt now).

  • Can too large a folder cause issues and effect performace of my Mac Pro

    Hi, I have a 180 gb folder filled with important data within my Home folder. This folder has a many subfolders as well. The folder is on my startup drive and where I have Snow Leopard installed. Can too large a folder cause issues with my mac and effect performance? Thanks

    another way to ask, would you make better use of, and improve I/O and performance, if you used your other drive bays? yes.
    Boot drives with even less than 50% free is probably not a good idea. All depends on whether 200GB is on 1TB or on 500GB drive. And how fragmented free space even.
    Lifting, loading and writing or copying 4GB files of course does have an impact, so if you work with 2GB files in CS5....
    Having a dedicated type boot drive, media drive (and isolate media and library files) as well as scratch drive is normally done with Mac Pro.
    The biggest bang in performance: lean mean SSD boot drive.

  • Accessing Business rules from BPEL, OESB and OSB

    How to aceess Business rules from BPEL, OESB and OSB ?

    Hey you can use Decision Service in BPEL process. You have "Decide" activity for this. However, no idea about ESB or OSB.

  • Propogating SAML tokens from OSB to BPEL and the reverse

    Hi
    Is there a way to propogate SAML tokens from OSB to BPEL and vise-versa. There are lots of references on using OWSM policies. Can I achieve passing tokens and asserting without them?
    Thanks
    Suman

    Starting from 11gR1 (11.1.1.3) Release, we have new feature to start transaction. OSB proxy can be configured to start a transaction.Refer to message flow transaction http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/relnotes.1111/e10132/osb.htm#CJACHEHJ
    So with this feature, all we need a create a proxy say HTTP and enable this feature. OSB will start a transaction before your pipeline is invoked. Let me know if you need clarification.
