[Solved] Subversion killed by signal 15

Hello,
I'm having trouble using subversion.
When i use subversion over the ssh protocol, i have the message "Killed by signal 15".
The commands work fine, but end with this message.
Subversion still works fine if ssh isn't used.
Somebody knows how to fix this?
Thanks by advance.
Matt.

I just needed to add the q option to my subversion conf file..

  • Suppressing killed by signal 1 on ssh

    I have a fresh install of arch on a machine I own for 2-3 years. The machine used to run Ubuntu (and its derivative) and arch. On this installation, when I copy files from a remote machine using scp I get a message
    Killed by signal 1
    I tried, after finding this in stackoverflow to add -q tag without any help.
    As far as I can tell, there is no problem with the copy.
    How can I suppress this message?
    Thanks

  • Httpd killed by signal 11

    <message cross-posted to news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.apache.user>
    Hello,
    I'm currently trying to setup apache 2.0.46 to proxy HTTP request to
    weblogic server 6.1sp4. I'm using bea plugin mod_wl_20.so, and I want to use
    SSL between apache and weblogic (by the way, I also use SSL between client
    and apache).
    Apache is running on mandrake 9.1 with security level to minimum, and
    weblogic is running on a w2k pro machine. I use openssl0.9.7a. I recompiled
    apache with these parameters :
    CFLAGS="-DSSL_EXPERIMENTAL_ENGINE";export CFLAGS
    ./configure enable-so enable-ssl enable-rewrite enable-proxy --disab
    le-status disable-autoindex disable-cgi disable-imap with-ssl=/usr/i
    nclude/openssl
    I think my configuration is quite standard.
    While running, I discovered that a lot of httpd process keep on beeing
    killed with signal 11. These process are then restarted which cause a
    certain load on the machine and that makes the whole process (managing a
    client HTTP request) very slow. I have to say that if I use directly
    weblogic bypassing apache, the slowness disappears.
    Here is an excerpt of /usr/local/apache2/logs/http_error log :

    I searched the whole internet to find a solution, and I didn't find one.
    I really hope gurus reading this newsgroup will be able to help me.
    Regards,
    Dom
    PS: needless to say I can give my httpd.conf and ssl.conf, but I don't know
    if I can give it in this newsgroup.

    Reinstall completely, create new user (with empty home). Same result.
    Also, after install of gnome-initial-setup, that still runs, on top of the error message! Baffles me. Screenshot.

  • 'gnome-settings-daemon.desktop' killed by signal 11

    I feel like a total n00b (so I probably am) but this is bothering me for quite some time now.
    Whenever I start gnome (3.16.2) I get the stupid "Oh no!" window, saying something is wrong. It is still possible to start applications but one screen (of the two) is covered by the annoying message.
    This happens on a completely fresh installed machine. LXDE runs fine, gnome (on wayland, on X) seems to run fine, except for that message. On another machine (Dell XPS13) this issue is not present.

    Anyone out there able to point out the dumb mistake I am making?

  • [solved] Xorg -configuration crashes (signal 11)

    I've been trying to get Xorg to work all day without success. What I've been doing:
    * Install archlinux from scratch
    * Upgrade with pacman -Syu
    * Install Xorg
    * Install fglrx
    * Run Xorg -configure.
    This is when it crashes with the following output:

    Well, in your previous log, the crash backtrace:

    died inside /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so - so I figured if you removed fglrx, Xorg -configure wouldn't try to use that module, and the crash would go away.   I'm glad I guessed right.

  • [SOLVED] Subversion will not use gnome-keyring

    Hi,
    Anyone know how to use gnome-keyring with subversion?  When I run svn up, I get the following warning every time:
    ATTENTION! Your password for authentication realm:
    <https://123.456.789.012:443> Subversion Repository
    can only be stored to disk unencrypted! You are advised to configure
    your system so that Subversion can store passwords encrypted, if
    possible. See the documentation for details.
    You can avoid future appearances of this warning by setting the value
    of the 'store-plaintext-passwords' option to either 'yes' or 'no' in
    '/home/david/.subversion/servers'.
    Store password unencrypted (yes/no)?
    I googled a bit and found that you can use gnome-keyring to store passwords encrypted.  I tried setting "password-stores = gnome-keyring" in ~/.subversion/config, but this had no effect.
    I have the package 'extra/gnome-keyring' installed.  From what I can see Subversion is always compiled with gnome-keyring support.  I also tried starting the gnome-keyring-daemon, since it's not started by default (I don't use GNOME as my WM).  I started it from the command line using 'gnome-keyring-daemon' command.  But this had no effect - subversion acts like it doesn't know gnome-keyring even exists.
    Any idea?
    Cheers,
    David

    I had the same problem.
    When the daemon gets started it prints some environment variables with values to stdout. I think other programs like subversion read these to connect to the daemon.
    Starting the daemon like this:
    export `gnome-keyring-daemon`
    in your .xinitrc or at a comparable place should solve your problem.
    Of course, this only applies if you're not using the gnome desktop environment.

  • [Solved] Bash: killing child processes

    I decided to make a session manager that will kill all child processes before exiting, the only problem is that it doesn't kill them all.
    I tried using the same function, and using it in conjunction with
    yes >/dev/null & bash
    yes >/dev/null & bash
    yes >/dev/null & bash
    yes >/dev/null & bash
    running in a terminal, and it sent all of them the TERM signal.
    I'm out of ideas.
    Code is here.
    The relevant section is:
    # Kill child process of given parent
    # This uses PIDs not names
    # Also prints out a list of child pids that should be killed
    # FIXME: Clean this up a bit
    kill_child_processes()
    PARENT_ID=$1
    # Find child processes and put them in the form PID%seperator%COMMAND
    local CHILD_PROCESSES=$(ps o ppid,pid,command | \
    awk "{if (\$1 == $PARENT_ID) {print \$2,\"_\",\$3;}}" | \
    sed 's| _ |%seperator%|')
    # Do this for each child
    for child in $CHILD_PROCESSES; do
    # Extract the PID and COMMAND into separate variable from $child
    local child_pid=$(echo $child | sed 's|%seperator%.*||')
    local child_command=$(echo $child | sed 's|.*%seperator%||')
    # If the child command has child processes, recurse through it
    if [ "$(ps o ppid,pid,command | awk "{if (\$1 == $child_pid) {print \$2;}}")" != "" ]; then
    kill_child_processes $child_pid
    fi
    # If the command isn't part of a blacklist, send it the TERM signal
    if [ x$(for dont_kill_command in $DONT_TERM; do \
    [ x$dont_kill_command == x$child_command ] && echo "MATCH"; \
    done) == x"" ]; then
    kill $child_pid &
    # echo the PID so we can use it later
    echo $child_pid
    fi
    done
    Thanks.

    gradgrind wrote:You might like to try pkill / pgrep with the -g option?
    Unfortunately that isn't what I'm looking for, I want this to work with multiple sessions(not that difficult), and also work with other apps on other tty's.
    Currently what it does is it runs ps o ppid,pid,command x which gives a nice table
    1234 5678 command1
    1234 5679 command2
    and if the ppid matches the session's pid, it's pid is saved, and (this part is looped) if it has child processes, then the function is run on the pid, afterward the pid is killed.
    It works when I separate the function from the rest of the script, but when it is in a session it fails to work properly.

  • [solved] alsa: duplicate front signal

    Hi,
    I got a new sound device today, a Terratec Aureon Sky 5.1.
    The driver of my old device offerd me a switch called "duplicate front", which made it possible to plug a second amplifier to the card's rear output and get the same signal as from the front output. As the new device doesn't offer this switch in alsamixer, is there another way to do this?
    Another (worse) option would be to have both devices installed, but I can't get them to work simoultanously, I only get a signal on the default card (device 0). How can I make them work parallel?
    Thanks, RhahkJin

  • IOS 8.1. Does it solve wifi/ Bluetooth/ cell signal?

    I Thought I'd start a new thread specifically for this...couldn't see one, other than comments updating on 8.0.2, which is useful but not specific for those just searching for the first time. I'm too nervous to update as I'm still on 8.0 with a few wifi issues but they aren't as bad as for some. I do have cell signal issues but my Bluetooth in my Volvo is fine so I don't want to mess that up. What's the verdict please guys?

    iOS 8.1 fixed my Bluetooth problems (car, headphones and BT speakers, neither of which worked after upgrading to iOS8). My wifi is fine (was fine with iOS 8 as well though). I see no problems whatsoever at this moment (iPhone 5).

    apr-util-iodbc should have a versioned "provides" in its PKGBUILD, as stated in the comments on AUR. It also needs "conflicts=('apr-util'), instead of "replaces"; no AUR PKGBUILD should ever use "replaces" anyway.

  • [Solved]No kill binary but I can still kill processes?

    Hello!
    I just migrated my laptop to EXT4 with the 2009.02-beta4 ISO (beta I know). Now everything seems to work fine except for when I power off my laptop, stopping the network spews out this error: "/etc/rc.d/network: line 62: /bin/kill: No such file or directory [DONE]".
    I checked /bin/ and sure enough there was no kill there so I ran 'which kill' and it came out empty as well. The only place I could find my kill was at /usr/lib/klibc/bin/kill which seems a bit odd, at least to me. Now it still shuts down and all and I _can_ kill processes with the kill command but I'm curious why this happened. I can't find anything about this 'bug' (if it even is one) on the bugtracker so, anyone know what's up with this?

  • [SOLVED] Subversion 1.8.0 breaks Apache Subversion

    Hi,
    I just updated subversion to 1.8.0 and I noticed that mod_dav_svn.so is missing. This means that I can no longer host an SVN repository through Apache, as described in the wiki. Was this done on purpose or is mod_dav_svn.so missing accidentally?
    Edit: added bug report.
    Thanks!

    I'd say it should be considered as a bug in packaging, since Arch Packaging Standards[1] say
    Avoid using /usr/libexec/ for anything. Use /usr/lib/${pkgname}/ instead.
    Subversion is the only package in core / extra that has anything in /usr/libexec [2].

  • [SOLVED] NetworkManager kills wireless speed

    When I connect my work wifi network using NetworkManager, the speed unstable -- with it being less than 1KB/s more often than not. The connection speed seems to be fine when I disable NetworkManager and use a simple iwconfig essid key command and dhcpcd. My laptop is dual-boot, and the speed is fine in Windows as well.
    NetworkManager seems to be setting my resolv.conf correctly.
    Signal strength is not an issue.
    Wireless chip is Intel 6000 series AGN using iwlagn driver.
    Rather baffling problem to me. Ideas?

    I don't have access to router configuration at my job, unfortunately.
    I did try manually configuring my IP, DNS and Gateway for the connection, though. When I did that, the connection speed seemed more stable -- never cutting out completely. Tx aggregation didn't get enabled in dmesg. However, wireless speed was still only 1-1.5Mbps in speedtests whereas I get a full 20Mbps when I use the iwconfig+dhcpcd method.
    EDIT: It also seemed to have attached to a much farther access point for the network than normal when I did that way, so I just manually configured the BSSID as well and tried to run a speedtest. I got a nice speed initially, (15Mbps) but it cut the connection quickly and wouldn't even run the upload test. So I looked at dmesg and Tx aggregation was enabled on the connection again.
