Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If Layers is greyed out it possibly means that you are in Quick Mode. Select 'Expert' and all the options should become available.
Try permanently associating psd files with C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and see if that fixes the issue. Instructions here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/choose-programs-windows-uses-default.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. Firefox opens in an extremely small size when I open it. I tried to maximize it and restart. Nothing fixes it. How do I fix this problem? It is driving me nuts.

To make it open at a nice size, make sure you have only one Firefox window open, then un-maximize it (which should make it small again), then resize the window '''by dragging the corners''' ('''not''' using the maximize button) to make it whatever size you like. Close the window and it should then start back up at the same large size.
The same trick should work with any Windows program that opens in an annoyingly small window :)

I use Terminal to log in remotely to some off-site unix servers. Previously, I could open several terminal shells at once, but lately if I try to open more than one, I get this message: <login: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable>. Any ideas how to fix this? I'm glad it's working for you, but am not convinced that the firewall was the problem.
The error message you got means that the server didn't have enough resources to process your login. This could be insufficient RAM, disk space or, more likely process space. If the server is very busy and has lots of processes running it can't fork a new process for your login.
Problems like that are usually transient - trying again a few minutes later may work since some processes have finished and have freed up process space.
You should look at what's running on the server and take whatever steps you think appropriate to reduce the number of processes running.

Unable to open my email messages on Firefox? How do I fix this?

I am not able to read my emails while I am in Firefox. This has happened about 8 days ago. I don't recall how this happened because I was able to use FF very well & never had any problems. I have been using Internet Explorer because most of my work has to be done on IE, the problem is that IE crashes too many times and its become very slow, I am just sick of it. I decided to use FF to read my emails & to do my PCH sweepstakes and play some games and maybe I would not get the screen crashing effect that I'm getting on IE. However, in order to get to do this I must open my email messages to proceed with the sweepstakes, but for some reason when I click on my messages nothing happens, they don't open up. How can this be repaird? I have even gone as far as deleting FF and re-downloading it again, but the problem still persists. I need help please!

Firefox will not open pages I want to see. How do I fix this?

On many occasions when I click on a link, all I get is a blank page. Sometimes when Firefox does this, there is a button for "Allow"; however, on many occasions there is no "Allow" button, and I cannot see the content. This is particularly troubling when I'm at my banking site, and I can't see important information. I have to go to Windows Explorer to see what I want to see.

When I right click a link & ask to open it in a 2nd window, it doesn't work. I can open a new tab. But I can't drag the tab & create a 2nd window that way either. I also click on the firefox icon & ask for a 2nd window but that doesn't work.
