Sorting a community list

Hello !
I'm building a community list after getting these from a CommunityNavPage by the method GetCurRelCommunities().
This method returns me a ICPListEntryIterator, which is sorted by Community name.
I would like to have it sorted by Community ID rather than name, and I wonder if the easiest and most optimized way is to rebuild the list (using a sort algorithm) or to add a new method, which would be the same as GetCurRelCommunities() in my model class, just changing the sort criterion.
Thanks in advance.

I would recommend the 2nd solution. You should add another method, similar to GetCurRelCommunities that sorts the list by ID instead of name.

  • Add Grouping to community list view

    Hello,
I have a community list in my site,   and the default view sorts them by date posted.
But we would like to also have them 'grouped' by the category on the page.
    For example:
    Category #1
    Topic a
    Topic b
    Category #2
    Topic c
in previous version of SP Designer,  this would have been very simple but for some reason I cannot get it to work in SP 2013.
In designer,  I have selected the grouping option.   Clicked 'category' and also checked the box display header.   But when I view the page,  nothing is different.   The category is not there.
I also noticed that when I move columns around,  there is no change when viewing the page.
    What am I do wrong?

    Hi,
In my environment, I test to group by the “Category” column in the “Subject” view of the Discussion List in SharePoint Designer 2013.
However, the result is that this Discussion List page is unable to display the web part though I can make and save the changes of the “Subject” view in SharePoint Designer 2013.
Per my knowledge, it seems that we also can’t really modify the “Subject” view of the Discussion List in SharePoint Designer 2013.
As a workaround, you can modify the “Management” view as below to group by the “Category” column and set show groupings “Collapsed” by default.
Also, you can do it as below in SharePoint Designer 2013.
And per my test, the result is opposite based on your select to set the show groupings “Collapsed” or “Expand” by default.
If you set the show groupings “Collapsed” by default, it will show the grouping “Expand” by default in the “Management” view of the Discussion List.
If you set the show groupings “Expand” by default, it will show the groupings “Collapsed” by default in the “Management” view of the Discussion List.
For this “Title” column goes to Management.aspx instead of going to Topic.aspx, it’s due to the different design of the “Management” and “Subject” view in SharePoint 2013 Discussion List.

  • Sorting singly linked list with minimum time complexity

    Hi ...
anyone could tell me how can i sort singly linked list with minimum time complexity .... ????
    Regards...

By MergeSort or QuickSort O(n log n). But then you
have to first extract the objects in the list, sort
them, then rebuild the list. But it will still bealot
faster than by keeping the list linked.Technically, I believe insertion sort is marginally
faster for small n ( <20 or so).Woohoo! So for 20 out of the possible 2147483648 array
    sizes Insetion is faster!
Unfortunately, checking for that case probably wastes
all the time you get from using the faster sort...
That would depend on the actual distribution off array sizes. So it's an engineering decision.
    Sylvia.

Could you please guide me to achieve this requirement. It's a lot easier to do so if the following information is provided (as has been repeatedly pointed out to you):
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
Sorting of the saved report list by report name was introduced in APEX 4.1.

  • Contact sorting broken in "Lists" print option?

Wanted to print a simple contact list out of Address Book / er um... "Contacts".
If i select "Mailing Lables", "Envelopes", or "Pocket Address Book"  everything seems to work as it should.
However, if i select "Lists" the sort-order of list is completely messed-up.  I can't even make a guess at what criteria it might be trying to sort by, but it certianly isn't the names.
Replicated the issue on my iMac running Mountain Lion as well.

  • Community listing correction

In your community listing for the Northeast (http://otn.oracle.com/collaboration/user_group/htdocs/northeast.html), the Name should be "Northeast Oracle Users Group" (not "North East"), the Website should be http://www.noug.com (not the New Jersey OUG's!), and the contact should be me (David Teplow, [email protected], 781.839.7220).

    Fixed; thanks for the update.

  • Police route and match community-list

    Hi All,
I have a C3825, and have been using standard ACLs and a PBR to route certain HTTP traffic via an alternative default gateway:
    route-map RTRMAP-OfficeLAN permit 10
    match ip address RTRMAP-OfficeLAN-toADSL
    set ip next-hop x.x.x.x
This is working absolutely fine, and as expected, all traffic matching the ACL is being sent to x.x.x.x
However, we have recently expanded our network, and I am now receiving various networks via BGP from various sources.  All BGP incoming via iBGP is tagged in communities:
    Community (expanded) access list 100
        permit 37xxx:100
    Community (expanded) access list 200
        permit 37xxx:200
    Community (expanded) access list 300
        permit 37xxx:300
    Community (expanded) access list 400
        permit 37xxx:400
    Community (expanded) access list 500
        permit 37xxx:500
All communities are also matching prefixes when executing either 'sh ip bgp community 37xxx:100' or 'sh ip bgp community-list 100'
What I am trying to achieve, is create an EXCEPTION for the policy route.  Traffic matching the community lists, must be forwarded based on the routers routing table, whilst traffic maching the ACL, must be sent via the policy route...
    route-map RTRMAP-OfficeLAN permit 5
    match community 100 200 300 400 500
    route-map RTRMAP-OfficeLAN permit 10
    match ip address RTRMAP-OfficeLAN-toADSL
    set ip next-hop x.x.x.x
My logic dictates to me that the above should work, but looking at the route-map, I get matches on seq 5 and pacets are exiting the route-map as expected (first matched).  However no traffic that does NOT match community 100,200,300,400 or 500 and that DOES match the RTRMAP-OfficeLAN-toADSL never matches.
The counters on the route-map for seq 5 is increasing, but no counters are increasing at seq 10..  It's almost as if seq 5 is matching all traffic.
    Am I missing something?
    Many thanks,
    Chris.

    Hi,
you can't use community-list for PBR afaik it only accepts ACLs for matching.
    Regards.

  • How to sort Reminders (in List mode)?

How do I sort Reminders (in List mode) in chronological sequence according to due date?
It works automatically in iCloud via web browser, but apparently not in the iPhone Reminders app. Please help. Thank you!

Apparently, Apple thinks you don't need to sort them. They will thus appear in the order you create them. This is also bugging me though, along with all of the other problems with this app. (not possible to set due date on iPhone)

Is this the expected behavior if yes then how can we get the list of mandatory communties. The first preference will offcoure be using Tags if not at al possible then we can go about using API.

This would only give the communities which are mandatory and exist as tabs.

  • How can I sort the delegates list?

I am using iCal in an office situation and am managing a large number (15) of delegates (they all have their own calender).
I can sort the delegates list via Preferences, Accounts, Delegation and then add the delegates I need in the order that I prefer.
But I am looking for a more easier way to sort this list.
Who can help me with this?

    Hi Katherine,
You have to specify the order manually I'm afraid.

  • BGP Extended Community List example

Hi there guys, I am hoping somebody can provide me with a little sanity check. Unfortunately we do not have a lab capable of BGP for me to test this with.
I need to ensure customer eBGP peers only send us the allowed standard communites we expect to see.
I have created the following extended community:
    ip community-list 100 permit 65535:40119
    ip community-list 100 permit 65535:51119
    ip community-list 100 permit 65535:51129
    ip community-list 100 deny .*
I want to accept the first three communities and drop the rest. Based on these communities we then apply traffic engineering further upstream. At present we do not apply any sanity check to the customer prefixes and have notices customers sending us other communites we dont want :-(
Can you tell me if this community-list will have the desired effect?
    Many thanks
    James

    Hi Giuseppe
Thanks for the responce. If I have understood you correctly the original filter list would pass on routes containing one of the permit routes but might have additional communites?
    ip community-list 100 permit ^65535:40119$
    ip community-list 100 permit ^65535:51119$
    ip community-list 100 permit ^65535:51129$
On that basis I assume the above prefix list would ensure customers send only a single community and deny everything else?

  • Sort the themes list?

    Hello!
I can't figure out how Keynote sorts its themes list. There are a few that I use a lot, and others that I don't use much at all. Unfortunately, a couple that I want regularly are at the bottom of my 60+ themes list... and are a drag to use when I use multiple variants of a theme in a presentation to represent different concepts/ideas. Is there an easy way to reorder the list?

Some versions of Keynote alphabetize at the folder level first, then the theme level (you can have folders in your themes folder), others just read every theme and then put them in order. If you want things to be at the top, you can go into the themes folder and put spaces or other characters at the front of the theme name. Keep in mind that the Apple themes will ALWAYS be at the top because they're inside the Keynote application, not in the themes folder.

  • How can I sort the target list in debug form.

If I want to select a procedure/function to debug it is very hard to find it if the package contains a lot of procedures. How can I sort the target list. I did not find anything in the preferences. Thanks.

Sorry, can't be done. You can request this at the SQL Developer Exchange though, so other users can vote and add weight for possible future implementation.
My suggestion (if you decide to request it): base the order in the dialog on the order inside the navigator tree (location in the source by default, but possible by name or type/name - see tree's context menu).
