Source Code of an object

Hello there,
I was wondering is there any way to know what was the sql statement used to create a object in the past. I mean to say is there any table which stores the sql command.
Eg. if we create the table the Source of the table like " Create Table Xtable( No number, name varchar2(5));"
Will this sql statement get stored in any table ? so that if I want to view it later on or maybe another person/DBA wants to view it in future will know what was the statement.
Regards.

  • Objects Source Code in 46C

    HI,
Is there any code to download the source code of classes/objects in 46c?
    Thanks

Of course, there is SAPlink, but this is for 6.20 and above.  Backporting it to 46c was discussed, but would require a whole lot of changes, even down to method call sytnax.
You can manually copy/paste the code of the class by going to "Go To",  "Public Section",  and coping out the code,  you can do the same for Protectd and Private.
I am not aware of another tool which allows for downloading classes in 46c

  • Extracting source code

how can I extract the source code of an object taken from the standard library of java?

    Hi,
rt.jar does contain the runtime class files of the jre - not the sources. I have updated to JDK 1.4.0 and was suprised, that I cannot find a src.jar (guess, it was named so) as in JDK 1.3.1 - so my question is, where are the sources now?- Do I have to download it separately from the JDK now?

  • How To Upload Object Dependency with Long Source Code

    Hi Everyone,
I use LSMW (IDoc:KNOMAS)  to upload the Object Dependency with T-Code CU01. However I can not upload  the formula/source code within more than 72 characters due to the maximum size of the source code field in dependency editor is 72 characters.
Is there anyone that have the same problem and know the solution? Or is there any advice / tips how to upload the Object Dependency that have long source code?
Any comments is appreciated. Thank you before hand.

    Hi Mika Permana,
Same Problem am also getting when i was trying to upload more than one object dependency syntax's on CU01,
After that i came to know we can restrict that all those things before 72 character's and we can add all those things to the next line in notepad,
    For Example,
    Header 1
    $SELF.Z_PRICE_HDC= 'HDC30' IF TURNAROUND = 'TAT5' AND NDF_COLOR1 = '4/4'
    AND NDF_COLOR1 = '4/4'
Here We cant upload the object dependencies through to excel file, because KCD_EXCEL_OLE_TO_INT_CONVERT and ALSMEX_TABLINE function module having 'Value' field ,its length is 50 only,
so it cant allow after 50th word. so i preferred to use notepad!!!
the following code is for your reference.
    LOOP AT i_index WHERE knnam_001 = it_mmtab-knnam_001.
           l_count = l_count + 1.
           CONCATENATE 'RSTXP-TDLINE(' l_count ')' INTO var1.
           PERFORM bdc_field       USING var1                               " 'RSTXP-TDLINE(01)'           " syntax
                                    i_index-tdline_01_006.
           IF l_count > 15.
             MESSAGE 'LINE ITEM EXCEEDED > 15 ' TYPE 'E'.
           ENDIF.
         ENDLOOP.

  • Dumping Global ABAP Objects Source Code to Text File

Hello People, this is my first post and my first time to join the forums.. and also my first time to code in ABAP.
Anyways, I was wondering if there is a way to dump the source code definition of any class/interface made in SE24 (Object Builder) onto a Text File; all the methods, attributes etc... of a class/interface. I've used SEO_METHOD_GET_SOURCE but it doesn't work.
    Thanks for the help.

I have created some wiki links (may be 3-4 months back) which seems similar to this requirement.

  • Getting an Object Identifier String given a line of source code? HELP!

(forgot to close the code tag on that last one!)
    Hi there,
I am in desparate need of getting the object identifier given a particular line of source code. I need this for the debugger I'm writing, and since the jdb forum never gets reponses; just more unanswered questions.
Right so, here's my problem in more detail. I can find out when a method is called in the Java virtual machine, and what its name is, and arguments and values and such like - using the Java Debugging Interface. BUT: unfortunately I cannot get the object identifier used in the source code that generated this call. I can however get a unique long id that identifies this object .. if that helps?(thinking hashtables here maybe?!)
So, I may know that the constructor of EddClass has been called, and this the following line generated this call:
EddClass edd = new EddClass();.. so what I need is a fail safe way of finding out "edd" from this - given all types of method calls.
This is quite tricky because there are loads of ways methods can be called e.g.
tty.getClassExclusions(); // Here I would know getClassExclusions had been called, and I would need to find out the object identifier "tty" called it
    Temp a, b, c;
a = b = c = new Temp(); // Here I would know the constructor for Temp had been called, but now I would just want to know "c"
AnotherEg ae = (new Egg()).getAnotherEg(); // and in this last case if I had found out that the Egg constructor had been called, I don't want to find out any object identifier from this line of code - since the object is anonymous; however if I had found out that getAnotherEg() had been called I would want "ae"Ok, well - please help: I'm making a Java Animator that will be freely available - that serves to graphically animate the execution of another java program. It'd be cool if one of you guys could help make it really cool. Plus there are Dukes available!!
    - Edd.

this is quite a complicated question I think!
I'm not sure but you maybe need to know just about the whole java lang. spec to do this.
I'm sure there are plenty of free java parsers around, so unless you have a lot of time available its probably best to download one, figure some way to feed it a single line from within a code block, and extract its symbol table.
Once you have the symbol table, there will probably be some other data available from the parser to say which are identifiers.
Its then up to your debugger to figure out which one is the interesting one!
sorry this is so vague but I think you've asked for something that is quite involved!

    Hi David,
please check the default trace. It may contain the entry:
Error in compiling : java.io.IOException: Not enough space
If that's the case, maybe there's too little space for the swap file/device.
You should ensure that at least 2X (preferably 3X) of Heap (-Xmx) is configured as real swap
    Hope that helps.

  • How to release top-level VI (only) source code?

    Hello,
I am developing an addon to an application I already have. The application is large (over 1,500 VI's) and the VIs are set up to compile with mostly default settings (there's a top-level VI, a few with Front Panel visible, most of them are not visible).
The customer wants the source code to the work I'm going to do, and it's going to use many existing sub-VI's. The addon itself will be a sub-VI (I have a Main.vi that basically opens 'screens', and this is a new screen). The existing sub-VI's basically do the data collection and processing, and the new code will do some additional processing and have a nice GUI to the existing code. The customer wants the source so they can make modifications as needed.
Is there any easy way to provide just the source for the top-level VI? Basically, I want to give them M.vi, where M.vi calls n.vi, o.vi... etc, but o-z.vi need to remain closed-source. Also, M.vi is called by Main.vi, which opens screens A-M.vi
One option is do copy the entire application, then open every sub-VI and save it without Source Code. But with so many files, this seems like a bad idea. I also then have to maintain two applications.
Any good ideas out there? It seems so easy in other languages (use object files) that it seems like there should be a solution here I'm not seeing.... Thanks!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Dont know if this is the best solution for you, but you can create a "virtual folder" in the LabVIEW project with all the sub-VIs that you want to keep closed-source. Then create Source Distribution build specifications in the project and remove the block diagrams assign passwords to all VIs in the virtual folder. See attached pics.

  • Function Module to get ABAP source code for a specific version

    Hi all
Is there a function module that I can use to get the source code of another function module at a specific version?
For example, can I call a function module passing in "FM_NAME" and "FM_VERSION" and have it return the lines of code associated with that object?
    Thanks in advance.
    Stuart

    Thanks guys
That's incredibly helpful! I have one more question that I just thought of last night...
Is there a way to hook into the code activation process? I want to be able to take a snapshot of the ABAP source code at each point when it is activated for use in another system, but need to be able to intercept this event and get the source code at that point in time.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
