Source file for java.util.Vector not found ?

Hi !
In the Source Editor, hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse over a class identifier belonging to the NetBeans APIs. A hyperlink appears. Click on the hyperlink and the cursor jumps to the related NetBeans API class.
(Alt--O)
Can anybody tell me, why this doesn't work in an Mobile Application ?
thanks.
(Show JavaDoc (Alt-F1) doesn't work in Mobile and EE ??)

do you link javaee and javame sources with Netbeans?
(you should ask it on a NetBeans forum??)

  • Need to find the source code for java.util.LinkedList

    Hello all,
I'm new to the forums and I actually need the LinkedList source file as well as all the source files for all Java packages and libraries. Please post a link here if you can, or email me at [email protected]
    Thanks again!
    copter_man

But those must be platform dependant, not really that
interesting to look at. I have never felt any need to
look at those at least.Wake up and smell the coffee, abbie! I read the source code all the time and constantly tell my students to do that, too.
    1. Java source code is not platform dependent. The original poster wanted to look at linked list code, how could that be platform dependent?
    2. It is the implementation of the SDK APIs, so by definition it is implementation dependent code, liable to change in a later version. So don't assume anything beyond what is claimed in the API documentation. However, sometimes the documentation is incomplete or ambiguous to you, and reading the source can provide some insight, however implementation dependent. (Light a candle or curse the darkness.)
    3. Why read source code? It's a good way to learn how to program. You see something in the API and ask: how'd they do that? Or you realize you want to do something broadly similar, but you can't reuse the source code.
For example, Images are not Serializable, but suppose you want a small image that is part of an object to be serialized with the rest of the object without too much fuss (ie, without using javax.imageio). You notice ImageIcon is serializable, so you use it. (An ImageIcon has-an Image.) Then you wonder: how'd they do that? You read the source and then you know.
    You live, you learn,

For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care center via their web cam.  This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center.  I get an error message for Java plug-in 1.6.0_29 ....webcam class not found.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

  • Tutorial-Files for WinCe (Transport.vb) not found

    Hello,
after the installation of Oracle9iLite (Download of 5.0.2.) I tried to test the product. In the documentation "Developer's Guide for Windows CE" in chapter 'Building Offline Mobile Applications for
Windows CE: a Tutorial' I found a tip where these tutorial-files are usually located:
    <ORACLE_HOME>\mobile\sdk\wince\samples\tutorial\Transport
But I don't find the directory "tutorial" in the "samples"-folder. Could anyone send me these files to "[email protected]".
    Thank you
    Martin

    Hello,
I found out that the following ZIP-file is missing in the downloaded version:
    http://mobile.us.oracle.com/ompm/site/olite/tutorial/Transport/Transport.zip
Has someone this file and could mail it to [email protected]

  • Error: Class java.util.ArrayList not found in import

Bear with me, I'm learning. That's part of the problem.
I'm trying to teach myself JSP using a book based on Tomcat, but running it on an Oracle 9iAS server that I don't control. (The DBAs do that.) I'm running into constant problems compiling and using classes and such, I think because of the different directory structures on the two servers. (See subject error.)
So, what I'd like to know is: how do I set up a default/main/whatever-you-want-to-call-it directory under which I can store my practice applications, such that 9iAS will function correctly? We're not using OC4J as far as I can see (no such directory, though there is a J2EE_containers folder), just JServ. Or, conversely, can someone explain in simple terms the basic 9iAS directory structures for deploying apps on 9iAS? I've been 'round and 'round the Oracle documentation until my head spins, and can't find this basic information.
    Help, please!!

You will have to make Kawa to use the correct jdk
    Look into
    Options-> Directory
Make a new Profile if it point to your old jdk version
    Thanks
    Joey

My Bluetooth has disappeared and I have tried just about everything on the internet. When I click on Bluetooth file exchange it says hardware not found. I tried resetting everything as well nothing is working for me please help because now my facetime doesn’t work neither does photo booth and now I cannot text people off my laptop unless they have iMessage.

If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

You need to check your datasource name jdbc/AIADataSource
Check out your data-sources.xml to make sure you didn't mistype it.

Pls suggest how to resolve this issue
Pls help to resolve this issue
    Rgds,
    Abhijeet

    Hi All,
    I Found the Solution.
The SAPinst tool was somehow not able to extracte the
J2EEINSTALL.SAR files from the JAVA Components DVD.
So I manually extracted the the file in the temporary install folder which the SAPinst creates in the /tmp filesystem (on LINUX by deafult) during the installation process.
The following command is used (I used this on Red Hat LINUX 5.2) to extract the J2EEINSTALL.SAR file:-
    /sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR
    -xvf /dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR
/sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR -->source directory of the file SAPCAR which is used to extarct CAR / SAR files on UNIX
/dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR--> destination dir. where the SAPinst tool will read and execute the file.

  • Weblogic.utils.StackTraceUtils not found

    Platform: Sun OS 5.7 (Solaris 2.7?), Weblogic 5.1 SP6.
I have an application that contains some JSPs and Servlets. I'm using
SilkPerformer to simulate multiple users. It was fine if I used only 200
virtual users, but I ran into the following problem when I used 250 (240
              too).
It complained some kind of NullPointerException (see below) which never
happened for under 200 users. And then it complained this
weblogic.utils.StackTraceUtils not found. This class belongs to
/weblogic/classes which is in my weblogic.class.path when the server is
              started.
I'm guess weblogic server ran into some unexpected exception and the
logger wanted to call this class to report the error. So I need to find
              out 2 things:
              1. how to reveal the real exception/error.
              2. what to do to avoid the exception (since it worked fine for 200
              virtual users).
For 1, I have no clue. Hope someone out there can help me.
For 2, I remember seeing "Too many opened files" at some run which may
indicating that, when handling too many users (250) at one time, WL
server has opened one copy of certain file (JSP/html) for each user and
used up system allowed file handles. If this is true, I may be able to
get rid of this problem by increasing the allowed number of file
handles. But I'd like to see a better solution (say, configure the
server certain way to share the files). By the way, this is not
happening on NT. Maybe NT has more allowed file handles and I can only
run as many as 250 users.
              Anyway comments are appreciated.
              -Wayne

Thanks Sumanth and Cameron. I have 64 descriptors when I do "limit". I'm
not sure if that's my limit coz I could successfully simulate 200 users
at a time. I only have a few JSPs and a couple of HTMLs. Maybe Weblogic
is already sharing the files. Or maybe even for 200 users, at one time
no more than 64 descriptors are used.
I don't have super-user privileges. But I'll ask the admins to increase
the limit for me and see how that affects my results.
              Appreciate your help.
