  • Why i have to specify the parameters (property and name) in both tags?

    Recently i learned how to populate a html:select with data from a DB table with a int value and a String value (value and label of an option). For that i create a business object that represent one pair value&label (i called categoryBO) and another business object that contains a list of the business objects categoryBO. So in my JSP i have the next code:
    <html:select name="lista" property="listaPropiedades">
    <html:optionsCollection name="lista" property="listaPropiedades" value="varValor" label="varLabel" />
    </html:select> Well i understand the next: name is the name of the business object that contains the list with the objects that represents the options in the select tag; property is the name of the list object, in the business object i need to have the getters and setters for that list; then value is the name of the variable that contains the data that will be the value of each option and label is the name of the variable that contains the data that will be the value of each label.
    But i have the next questions:
    1. Why i have to establish the parameters property and name for bot html:select and html:optionsCollection? Why not only in html:select or only html:optionsCollection?
    2. In the ActionForm for my JSP i dont know what data type have to use to declare the variable that's linked with the option or with the select. I'm using Object for now.
    3. Why the only way to populate the html:optionsCollection in the Action is passing the object in the request object as an atribute in the next way:
    request.setAttribute("lista", objectThatContainsList);instead
    ((ActionForm)form).setListaPropiedades(objectThatContainsList);why's that? I have the same question when i'm populatina a normal html table using a logic:iterate tag or using a display:table tag from displaytag library.

    Ok, you have one big misconception here - you're using the same name/property for both the select component and its contents.
    The html:select should refer you to ONE selected value (in this case an int). It should tie to a field on your action form.
    The html:optionsCollection should refer to a list of beans used to populate this select component.
    <html:select property="selectedItem">
    <html:optionsCollection name="myList" property="listOfProperties" value="varValor" label="varLabel" />
    </html:select>
    1. Why i have to establish the parameters property and name for bot html:select and html:optionsCollection? Why not only in html:select or only html:optionsCollection?Because they actually refer to two different things, and should be two different values.
    html:options gets the list of possible values
    html:select stores the "selected" option. (consider what you would have if you just used a standard html:input here, and typed the id directly in - THATS the property to bind to)
    2. In the ActionForm for my JSP i dont know what data type have to use to declare the variable that's linked with the option or with the select. I'm using Object for now.You do now - because it is declared/mapped seperately
    3. Why the only way to populate the html:optionsCollection in the Action is passing the object in the request object as an atribute in the next way:Its not.
    The way you mentioned is also valid. If both the "selectedItem" and "listOfItems" are properties on your action form, you can leave out the "name" attribute, and they will be found there.
    However if you are dealing with request scoped beans, you will have to populate the list on each access of the page - you will need a "load" action to poupulate the bean with the items for the dropdown, and make sure that it is always populated when you return to it (eg on an error condition).
    That is why setting it as an attribute is sometimes preferable.

  • Bid Invitation attributes and weighting function

    Attributes are transferring to Weighting section. This did not haqppen in the past.
    During bid invitation creation the dynamic attributes that are used are
    automatically transferred to the weighting function. Along with this
    there is a message that is displayed "Specify the parameters of
    weighting function". This never happened in the past before
    implementing ECC 6 Enhancement pack 5, SAP_BASIS Component: Support
    Pack 7 for 7.02, and SAP Kernel: 720 patch 115.
    I found note 1662288 but it is applicable to server 701 and 702. Our
    server is 550.

    Hi,
    1. make sure email set up is done as per note 455140. To send e-mails after bid is published  for the bid invitation transaction 'BID' attach relevant event schema. This will take care of sending mails whenver bid invitation is published or changed.
    2. Provide the role  BBP_EC_SUS_BIDDER to the bidders to enable them to see bid invitaions and send bids from SUS portal.  For this you also need to enable SSO (single sign on) between  EBP and SUS. Please refer the below link for further information.
    sending RFQs from SRM EBP to SRM SUS
    3. It is possible to down load the Bid invitation. Further update the mail  id of the bidder with your id so that you can receive the bid invitation smartform. This you can take a print out and send it to bidders. You can make config setting in SPRO 'define actions for document output' to send the   bid invitation smartform.
    Hope this clarifies all your doubts here.

  • Function Module that will retrieve the parameters for a given function Modu

    Hi
    We have a requirement where we will be calling Function Module that will be maintained in a table entry. How we will determine what is the parameters that is required by this function module. Is there a FM that will suffice the requirement.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    You have to write a custom code for that. Use the table FUPARAREF to retrieve the parameters for a function module. Give function module name as input.
    Pls reward points if solved your issue.

  • Specify 'GET' parameters in HTTPService in ActionScript?

    Hi,
    I was wondering if there is a way to specify variables and values in Actionscript to send in an HTTPService.  Say I wanted to send a request like:
    http://mydomain.com/?user=test
    In AS3, I have this:
    private function init():void {
      service = new HTTPService();
      service.destination = "http://mydomain.com";
      service.method = "GET";
      service.addEventListener("result", httpResult);
      service.addEventListener("fault", httpFault);
    Is there a way to use a function to specify GET variables (user=test)?  Because otherwise it become more cumbersome to keep changing the destination screen and worry about escaping variables, etc, etc.

    Yes, I see that.  I just wasn't sure how to specify the parameters.  I am trying this:
    var params:Object = new Object();
    params.user = "test";
    service.send(params);
    That seems to have done it (actually, I realized I need to set the 'url' property, not the 'destination' property as well)
    So I can just call this 'send' with different parameters on the same object over and over right?  Do people generally put logic in the eventlistener to differentiate the type of responses that come back, or is it more common to add different event listeners for each type of request?  In case it's not obvious, I'm making a RESTful php server that can respond to various methods in the request, modeled after the flikr API.

  • Where do I specify the URL to test for my load testing project?

    When we create a WebAndLoadTestProject in VS 2013, the only place where I can specify the URL that I actually want to test is by adding a Web Performance test to the project and specifying the URL in the recording tool.
    Does this mean that I cannot have a load test without having a web performance test?
    Because I've searched a lot and I don't find any other place where I can specify the URL that I want to test.
    And all the blogs that are out there also talk about having both the web performance test and the load test together. I never come across a single one that explains having a load test without a web performance test.
    So my question is; Can I or can not I have a load test without a web performance test? If I can, then where do I specify the URL that I want to test against ??

    A Visual Studio Load Test is a thing that runs other tests, looks after their results and collects some timing data. A load test can run large numbers of other tests to simulate big loads. On its own a load test does not do anything. Load tests are
    really good at running Web Performance Tests and collecting their results. Load tests can also run Coded UI tests and unit tests.
    The URL used in a Web Test can be derived from a context parameter. The Web Test command "Parameterize Web Servers" can be used to change all the URLs in the requests to context parameters.
    Load Tests can also specify context parameters and any values they specify will override the parameter values specified in a Web Test.

  • Help on the parameters for function ENQUEUE_E_TABLE

    Hi,
    Does anyone has detailed help on the parameters for the function ENQUEUE_E_TABLE?
    For example, what does the parameter _SCOPE? and how many keys can I specify in VARYKEY?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    SCOPE is for - Control lock behavior when calling the update task.
    ENQMODE - Lock mode
    VARYKEY - Lock key for tables
    TABNAME - Table Name
    COLLECT - Flag whether locks should only be collected first
    I think VARKEY Accept one value only.

  • What are the different types of parameters available in function builder an

    What are the different types of parameters available in function builder and where do we use them.

    The different type of parameters available in FM are
    Import - They are used to pass the values to the function module.
    Export- They are used by FM to pass the result back to the calling program.
    Changing - The variables are passed to the FM and can be changed during the FM processing.
    Tables - Internal tables can be passed to the FM (it works similar to changing parameter).

  • How to test the parameters *SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT

    Dear all,
    I want to test the parameters SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT,
    I have set the SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT=10, but i can not how to test it.

    I don't think you can test this. It is related to connection time when a user tries to connect to database and related to connect OCI call. I think the only way is that when you get inbound connection timed out (ORA-3136) in your network , by increasing this parameter you won't get the error or at least you will get it later.

  • Is diadem the best solution to store test limits and parameters

    I understand that diadem is the best repository for test results for analysis and reporting. However can I make use of the database structure to store test limits and instrument setup values as a TDM file that I can call upon in a VI.
    If so, is it possible to extract from the TDM file only the values that I require.
    For example.
    Widget1 test requires min/max values A,B,C and instrument setup values for condition 1,2,3
    Widget2 test requires min/max values A,B,C and instrument setup for condition 4,5,6
    If this is the case would it make sense to have 1 single TDM with all values and parameters or seperate TDM for widget1 and widget2 etc etc..

    Hi Chris,
    This question has come up in one form or another many times over the last several years, actually predating the DataFinder.  I think the honest answer is that the jury is still out as to whether DIAdem and the DataFinder offer a good general-purpose data management and reporting combination for manufacturing test data.  Certainly I have created numerous proofs-of-concept to show prospective customers that it can work and what they can expect from DIAdem and the DataFinder with their data.  There are some cases where I think DIAdem and the DataFinder are hands-down the best tool on the market, and there are other situations where DIAdem and the DataFinder can still do the job but it's a bit of a stretch, and then there are high-end situations where other tools are the better fit.
    I'll try to keep this reasonably short, but I think this is a question many will be interested in reading about, so I want to go ahead and post a few points to clarify those "different situation" comments above.  DIAdem and the DataFinder become a much more compelling fit when you run lots of different types of tests, such that the number of results is variable from one test to another, or the result quantity names and units are different from test to test, or the analysis/reporting required is different from test to test.  High mix data plays to the strengths of DIAdem and the DataFinder, because the DataFinder is a self-configuring and expanding data base, and DIAdem is a general purpose analysis and reporting tool and is very flexible.  If your acquired data has a very static format, on the other hand, then it would take much less effort to set up and maintain your own relational data base and create one analysis and reporting solution that would never need to be expanded.
    DIAdem and the DataFinder also excel when the overall data amount is not astronomical and when the data consumers are all on the same LAN and are willing to install DIAdem to look at the data or create reports.  Many times in a manufacturing test setting a web interface is requested so that the data consumers can be anywhere in the world and need have only a web browser to interact with the data.  DIAdem and the DataFinder are fully compatible with Citrix and other Windows Terminal Services layers, but that does not come built-in with DIAdem 10.2 and the DataFinder Server Edition 1.1.  Both DIAdem and the DataFinder can handle VERY large data sets, but if you need high-end server options such as data base backups, triple-redundancy, complicated user-definable data access privileges, etc., then a conventional relational data base such as SQL Server or Oracle are going to have more to offer.
    Note that the DataFinder data base is an indexed compendium of information stored in flat files and is always tied to those flat files.  If you add or remove or edit a data file, the DataFinder will automatically update the corresponding records-- there is no way to sever this link and use the DataFinder in a file-less mode.  The best way to organize your manfacturing data in these data files is to expose your single value, named data results as properties on the file, group, or channel level.  This enables you to query on the values of those properties.  TDM files used for this purpose will index very quickly but will have a large footprint on disk, since you're storing this information in XML.  If file size is an issue, TDMS files index at least as fast and would have a smaller disk footprint.  ASCII files are actually surprisingly efficient for storing manufacturing data.  If you happen to be using TestStand, note that there is an ATML DataPlugin on www.ni.com/dataplugins which you can use which will automatically expose your measurements as properties in DIAdem and the DataFinder.
    Ask as you have additional questions,
    Brad Turpin
    DIAdem Product Support Engineer
    National Instruments
    in environments higher volume your data is, on the other hand, the more we have to be careful to make sure that DIAdem and the DataFinder

  • How should I understand the parameters/argument values in the {} and [] right after a function?

    Hi,
    How should I understand the parameters/argument values in the {} and [] right after a function?
    For instance the {[Name="control"]}[Content] part in the
    control=Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="control"]}[Content]
    and also the [Control]{0} part in the periodctrl=control[Control]{0}.
    Thanks.
    Regards,

    The "[]" operator in M is like the "." operator in C-like languages, if that helps. It takes an aggregate value with named components and it selects one of those components. In the case of the record "Foo", "Foo[Bar]"
    returns the field named Bar. In the case of the table "Baz", "Baz[Quux]" returns the column named Quux.
    Similarly, the "{}" operator in M does subscripting of lists -- like the "[]" operator in C-like languages. If "Foo" is a list, then "Foo{0}" returns the first element of the list, "Foo{1}" returns the second
    element of the list, and so on.
    In the case of tables, it's also possible to use "{}" with a record argument, in which case it will return the row which matches the record criteria -- provided there is exactly one. So if "Foo" is a table, then "Foo{[Bar = 1]}"
    will return the row for which the Bar column has a value of 1.
    Many of the data access functions in Power Query return what we call "navigation tables". Sql.Database, for instance, returns a table with columns named Name, Schema, Object, Kind and Data. Each table in the database has a single entry in this
    navigation table. When we index into the table with "table{[Schema="dbo", Object="table"]}", we're selecting the single row that matches those criteria. This gives us a record. We then want to pick the "Data" field of
    that record, which contains the actual table data. That's why there's typically a "[Data]" at the end of expressions which fetch data from the SQL table.

  • What are the parameters of Function Module

    Hi,
    What are the parameters of Function Module?

    Function Modules are special external subroutine stored in a central library. The R/3 system provides numerous predefined function modules that you can call from the ABAP/4 programs.
    All the function Modules are created under the Function Groups. Function Groups are nothing but the related group of function modules.
    The function modules can be maintained through T.CodeSE37 and T.Code SE80.
    In general the function module has the following components.
    Documentation:
    This is the place where you can find the discription/purpose of the function module.
    Import & Export Parameters.
    Import parameters correspond to the formal input parameters of subroutines. They pass data from the calling program to the function module.
    Export parameters correspond to the formal input parameters of subroutines. They pass data from the function module back to the calling program.
    Table Parameters.
    Table parameters are internal tables. Internal tables are treated like changing parameters and are always passed by reference.
    Exceptions.
    Exceptions are used to handle error scenarios which can occur in the function modules. The function modules checks for any type of error and raise exception and returns SY-SUBRC value to the calling program.
    Source Code:
    the programming logic of the function module is written in this source code.
