Spry collapsable panel transparency

hey all,
i have a spry collapsable panel, when it drops down, i want it to have a 100% opacity white background. when i simply code background:#FFF, it is completely transparent. when i use a different color (i.e. #666), the color still exists, but it is transparent. how can i make this a solid dropdown box?
thanks!

this was just a test, but i can paste some code
.CollapsiblePanelTab {
font: bold 10pt sans-serif;
background-color:#FFF;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
cursor: pointer;
-moz-user-select: none;
-khtml-user-select: none;
text-decoration: none;
outline: none;
and a screenshot of the active tab
i hope this is enough

  • My Spry collapsable panel works on Dreamweaver but not on my published site

    I created a one page static microsite for a client and inserted Spry collapsable panel in the content div.  It looks perfect on Dreamweaver and even when I previewed it on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, it looked great.  After I uploaded the page, the panel's dissapeared and the text center justified.  Any help?

  • Spry Collapsable panel with forms

    I have a lenthy form that is in sections. I wish to put the
    form into a spry collabsable panel by topic. This does not seem to
    work. Even though the form fields are separated the functionality
    does not. I even did a test with just simple text, that worked
    fine. I then inserted my form (used the application objects record
    insert from) but the functionlity did not work. Is this a limit of
    SPRY?

    I bet that you can get this to work without too much trouble.
    Make sure that the form surrounds the entire spry panel set. I
    would probably try it this way, particularly if you are going to
    use one of the form wizards:
    (1) Build the form first
    (2) Within the form creat space for the SPRY Panels
    (3) Then copy/paste respective pieces into each panel.

  • Spry Collapsable Panel Question

    I just started using Spry and was wondering if there is an
    way to have a plus sign display next the the title when the panel
    is contracted but then when somebody clicks to open the content
    area it would change to a minus symbol?
    Thanks for your help in this matter.

    Thanks... This mostly worked. The problem is that those
    panel's which are preset to be open show the plus sign when the
    should show the minus. As you can see here

    The minus only shows when you actually click to open a panel.

  • Why has my spry collapsable panel disappeared in live view?

    have I accidently deleted some vital code? On the page it all seems to be there. At my wit's end! please help!!!  Attached the page.

    Typical collapsible panel construction is as
    <div id="CollapsiblePanel1" class="CollapsiblePanel">
      <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab" tabindex="0">Tab</div>
      <div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">Content</div>
    </div>
    I notice that in several places, at least, you haveCollapsiblePanelContent class assigned to <p> tags. As you have seen, that does not appear to work. You need to be working with <div> tags, as the original markup provided. <div>s are block level elements, and I know of no working variant that uses paragraph tags and spans.
    <p> </p>
    <p class="CollapsiblePanelContent"> </p>
    <p class="CollapsiblePanelContent">
    <span class="CollapsiblePanelOpen">
    <span class="CollapsiblePanelTab">
    <br/>
    </span>
    </span>
    Look also to your file paths; at least one was pointing to your hard drive (yikes!).
    It's a little hard to troubleshoot more effectively without actually have a link to your page on a server, as the javascript and css files are not available.

  • Spry collapsible panel - repeating region

    Hi,
    I'm trying to make a repeating region that contains a spry
    collapsable panel.
    The problem is that i need to develop a way to automatically
    increase the ID of the spry panel.
    The problem I am encountering is that only the first
    Collapsible Panel works properly. The remainder are displaying the
    data, but will not open and close when their tabs are clicked. It
    appears that all are being repeated as
    id="CollapsiblePanel1".
    Does anyone have a way to increment the Tab & Content
    ID's?
    On another forum, somebody has suggested using the following
    PHP - although having never used PHP before, I am uncertain as to
    where I insert this into my code:

  • Multiple Spry Collapsible Panels with different Open-Close defaults

    Hello,
    The site I am working on has a page with (5) Spry collapsable panels. (4) are set default open, (1) is set default closed.
    I am trying to get (3) Open, and (2) closed. However, setting a second panels default to closed gives a syntax error.
    Anyone know how to make it work, if it can at all?

    Remove the closing parenthesis after "CollapsiblePanel5". It should be like this:
    var CollapsiblePanel5 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel5", {contentIsOpen: false} );

  • Collapsable Panel conflict?

    I am having an issue with a page containing a Spry horizontal menu bar ( which works fine) and a Spry Collapsable Panel (which does not). The page also contains a WOW jQuery Slider which is functioning correctly with the menu bar so I do not believe it involves a conflict of Javascript vs. jQuery scripts on the same page. When I placed the panel it simply fails to collapse in either Dreamweaver's live view or on any browser. Has anyone seen this in the past? Amy ideas?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Please post a link so we can see the problem page in our browsers.

  • Spry Tabs + Collapsable Panels

    Hello,
    I have tabs within collapsable panels and in firefox and IE you can see the tabs even if that panel is not open. Any ideas on how to fix this situation?
    Thanks, here's my example:

    Best,

    V1 Fusion I was going through Spry forums and saw a problem
    that another user had similiar to mine and was wondering if you
    could offer some support. I am using the Tabbed panel from Spry and
    can only get 5 tabs across before it starts a new tab below the
    others. I was looking thru CSS file but not sure what can be
    changed so I can allow 6 tabs accross. I'd send you link but it's
    behind a firewall. I can send you a screen shot with email address.
    Any help greatly appreciate it!!!!!!

  • Spry Collapsible Panel question

    I have a file online that uses a Spry collapsible panel.  It can be viewed here.  It works beautifully.  For one exception.  The logo is supposed to be up some 10 pixels or so.  The CollapsiblePanelTab is occupying the space.
    So I took the CSS for the CollapsiblePanelContent and moved it up 1em <margin-top: -1em;>.  That put my logo where it should be.  Problem is that when I do this the transparent portion of the logo covers most of the "Hide / Show Logo."  It leaves only a sliver of the right of the tab.  This file can be viewed here.
    The logo consists of the image and the bar underneath it.  Yes, I could crop the image down to the central part, making it narrower, but I do want the bar which is wider.  And I want the bar to disappear when the Spry is activated so that rules out having it as a separate image..
    Even better I would like when the panel is open for the "Hide / Show Logo" to be just above the bar.  I tried that and it threw everything out of kilter.
    Any suggestions!  Thank you in advance for any responses.

    Beth,
       Thought of it, did it, didn't work.
       If I remove the logo from the HTML of the page and instead place it in the "background-image" of the CollapsiblePanelContent CSS I get disastrous results.  The panel collapses (because there is nothing in the DIV) and the CSS placed background image disappears.  Following this thread of thought I could try a much narrower transparent image with nothing in it, just the transparency, and see how that might work.  This would keep the DIV open to the desired height.  Then I could place the actual, true image in the "background-image" of the DIV CSS.
       For the moment I am going to see if someone perhaps comes up with a solution other than this.  The chief reason is that I would lose my dynamic linking of the PSD to the placed image.  This file will be a template of thousands of pages spanning many years so the logo will change appropriately.
       This method, of using the image in the CSS itself, also causes some alignment problems within the DIV.  My background-image does not center properly.  It does so when placed in the HTML of the document.
       Getting back to the original problem, which seems to be the transparency of the image and its width, I don't see any reason why I could not break my image into two pieces and place each one within the CollapsiblePanelContent.  Each image in their own DIV contained within the panel content.  I could then make the logo part separate from the bar but still have the bar collapse.  The logo portion could then be much narrower.  I think I will try this method and see what transpires.  I could then keep my dynamically linked images.  Theoretically!!!
       Thanks for letting me bounce ideas off a fellow thick skull.  Not seeing the trees for the forest and all that.
    Regards,
    Wayne

  • Dynamic data in Spry Collapsible Panel

    Hi guys,
    Am trying to get data from a Data Set into the Spry
    Collapsible Panel, with little luck. Have tried the following and
    was wondering if i am doing something wrong?
    <div spry:region="dsProduct">

    <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab"
    tabindex="0">{product_name}</div>
    <div
    class="CollapsiblePanelContent">">{product_details}</div>
    </div>
    </div>
    This example displays the field i want from the data set
    {product_name}, but will not collapse open the panel containing
    {product_details}.
    Any suggestions?

  • Spry Collapsible Panel problem when previewing in web browser

    Hello.
    I have inserted a spry collapsible panel into my website, made ZERO adjustments to any of the scripting or even css styling, and previewed the panel in my Safari browser. It does not seem to be working correctly. I've attached a couple of images showing what the panel looks like in the browser. My site is not published yet, so I cannot give out the url.
    Is something wrong with the js file? I tried the panel earlier on a different site on the same computer and it was working fine.
    the "Tab" menu text does not fit inside the grey box. Everything collapses fine, however, the gray box is too thin for the text. I've tried adjusting it in the CSS sheet, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
    This is the panel in the collapsed state. It looks bad. I know it's not supposed to work like this.
    When I preview the site in "live view" everything works fine...

    I have inserted a spry collapsible panel into my website, made ZERO
    adjustments to any of the scripting or even css styling
    That is good, that means that I have a local copy of the scripting and css files eliminating the need to attach the code to a post.
    Is something wrong with the js file? I tried the panel earlier on a
    different site on the same computer and it was working fine
    The fact that it works on a different site means that something is correct. My assumption is that the scripting and css files are doing their job correctly and to answer your question regarding the js file, no.
    Having eliminated the Spry original JavaScript and CSS files as being the culprits, there must be a problem with the rest of the site, incorrect HTML, other interfering JavaScript or CSS.
    I can keep guessing, but only those persons that are privy to your code can give you any positive input. Please find a way to upload your files so that we can see the code in context.
    To this end, screen captures do not assist in solving the problem, they only add to others' amusement at seeing the problem.
