  • Cfreport  ("HTML format") missing columns for a query

    Using Linux Fedora, ColdFusion 8 Developer Edition.
    Problem:
    The command:
    <cfreport
    format="HTML"
    template="ReportTemplateHtml.cfr"
    filename="Report.html"
    overwrite="yes"
    query=#structReport.query#
    >
    With Format equal to PDF or RTF, which is correct output:
    "item" "Description" "Qty" "Unit Price" "Extension"
    The HTML output writes the following columns:
    "item" "" "" "Unit Price" "Extension"
    The "Description" and "Qty" are missing.
    Any ideas as to why data is missing from HTML report?

    Query Builder is a crutch tool. Small, lightweight, but limited. It does not have every inline function you see in the SQL reference guide. If you need more, then you have to do more on your own.

    below is my code ,please help me......

    Alright there is a dedicated ImageServlet(provided in jasper reporting framework) which is used to Link Static image content along with your HTML report content.
    and here is how you have to do it is ??
    is by setting few parameters for JRExporter Object and making use of image servlet provided under jasper libraries.
    ImageServlet configurations in web.xml:
    <servlet>
            <servlet-name>ImageServlet</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>
                net.sf.jasperreports.j2ee.servlets.ImageServlet
            </servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>ImageServlet</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/imageServlet</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>Html Exporter code..
    JRExporter exporter = null;
    JasperPrint jasperPrint = null;
    Connection conn = null;
    String sourceFile = ReportService.getReportSourceFile(request);
    Map map = ReportService.getParameterMap(sourceFile,request);
    String contentType = ReportService.getContentType(sourceFile,request);
    if(contentType.startsWith("text/html")){
    PrintWriter printWriter = response.getWriter();
    try{
       /* Fetching Connection from a Connection Pool VIA a service*/
      conn = DbUtils.getConnection();
      /* Creating a JasperPrint Object*/
      jasperPrint = JasperFillManager.fillReport(sourceFile,map,conn);
    exporter = new JRHtmlExporter();
      request.getSession().setAttribute(ImageServlet.DEFAULT_JASPER_PRINT_SESSION_ATTRIBUTE, jasperPrint);
       /* printWriter here is a reference for  response.getWriter() */
      exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, jasperPrint);
      exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.OUTPUT_WRITER,printWriter);
      // gonna set url pattern given for Image servlet with a reponse parameter <url-pattern>/imageServlet</url-pattern>
      exporter.setParameter(JRHtmlExporterParameter.IMAGES_URI,"imageServlet?image=");
       response.setContentType(contentType);
       /* Would write the HTML content to ServletStream Provided */
      exporter.exportReport();
    }catch(Exception exp){
         exp.printStackTrace();
    }finally{
      try{
         if(conn != null && !conn.isClosed())
           conn.close();
      }catch(Exception ep){
         ep.printStackTrace();
      }finally{
           conn = null;
           sourceFile = null;
           map = null;
    }For any other issues with report format and others try to go through my post.However, you might have to edit your customized settings in terms of image rendering problems or to some customized implementations.

  • Report from SQL Query -Excel format only show the first page

    Hi,
    I have some Reports from SQL Query. In the display options, I choose Excel as default format. The Excel documents only show the first page. If I choose HTML as default format, it shows every rows.
    Please advise on how to have a complete Excel document as HTML format does.
    Thanks a lot.
    Lina Han

    I beleive when you export Oracle reports to Excel it is the Data that is transferred along with Column Names.
    You cannot export the variables defined on the report.
    Hence you will not be able to export the Footer to excel. (Still looking into it will let you know if i find anything interesting)

  • HTML formatted Email notification with embedded images

    I am using Oracle BPM 6.5 (Studio) and been spending my wheels on trying to send out an email from a process with formatting. I am able to send emails in plain text. I get a parseexception whenever I try to set the content type property of MAil object. Not sure what might be going on. Here is the sample code.
    reminderEmail as Mail
    reminderEmail = Mail()
    reminderEmail.from="[email protected]"
    reminderEmail.recipient="[email protected]"
    reminderEmail.subject="Review xx Information"
    reminderEmail.contentType = "Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8" (IT WORKS WITHOUT THIS LINE)
    reminderEmail.message = "<HTML><h2>Please check and resend the message</h2></HTML>"
    send reminderEmail
    It would be great if I can get a sample to send out HTML formatted emails. I know it should work because the automatic notification mail that is sent out by the engine is HTML. This is the one where it says "The instance can be accessed "here""
    Thanks so much

    If you want to send the html page and have it
    reference the images and css files on your web
    site, that's pretty easy. Just create a message
    with text/html content that is your html page.
    If you want to include all the images and css files
    in your message along with the html page, you'll
    need to create a multipart/related message and
    you'll need to change all the html to reference the
    images and css files using "cid:" references.

  • Oracle 8i SQL Reference

    I am not able to find this SQL Reference. I have followed your instructions and looked at the following without luck:
    http://otn.oracle.com/docs/tech/sql_plus/index.html
    http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/index.html#previous

    Hi Debbie,
    Apologies for the delay in resonding to you.
    I'm not sure which version of the Reference you are seeking. However, if you are looking for the 8.1.7 release, then this is the path you can use on the Documentation pages.
    Go to the Previous releases section on the OTN Documentation home page: http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/index.html#previous
    Then click on: "Oracle8i Database Release 8.1.7".
    This returns the Release 8.1.7 Documetation page. On this page you will find Documentation libraries, e.g. A87860_01. Click on the "View library" link.
    Then click on the "Oracle8i Server and SQL*Plus" link. The Reference is then listed.
    You can try this with any of the "view library" links on any of the Release 8i doc pages.

  • SQL Reference

    Hello,
    I had a really nice page from oracle 8i about SQL Reference. There, you could find any SQL-command explain. Now is it down and I cannot find a similar one for 9i.
    Can you give me a hint where to find a SQL Reference (Oracle should have a new one...)
    Reference

    The SQL reference guide is one of the books available at the documentations site (mentioned as a weblink in an earlier reply).
    It is also possible to download this library at this page:
    http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/oracle9i.html
    It is quite big (210MB) but it is essential, for us that are not able to memorize everything...

  • HTML formatted rdlc report

    I am trying to create a rdlc report.
    One of the fields in the report contains HTML formatted information. e.g. (It's a text field which is populated from a Rich Text Editor similar to one we have here).
    When I put the content of this, in a text box of RDLC file, it shows HTML instead of formatted output.
    I have been doing this in Crystal Reports using Text Format tag in there.
    Is there some similar option available for RDLC text box too? I could not find any.

    This is not supported in the RDL 2005 schema structure that is used by the Report Viewer controls of VS 2005 and VS 2008 in local mode (RDLC).
    As you may have seen in other postings on this forum, significantly updated and improved report viewer controls are in the works for the VS 2010 release, which include the engine that runs inside SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 and provide many new features such as "RichText" formatting within textboxes, tablix data and report layout flexibility, HTML formatting automatically converting into all supported rendering formats, new Word rendering, etc.
    You can also use most of these features in server mode already today, but for local mode support you will need VS 2010.

  • Text format + attached image files or Html format + displayed images ?

    Hi, I have this kind of probleme and I need some help.
    (Code : see below)
    I want to send a mail with some attached image files.
    For the message part, I create a MimeBodyPart and add two kinds of message (text or html) and this part is multipart/alternative.
    For the attachment part, I create another MimeBodyPart and I set the Header like this : xxx.setHeader("Content-ID", "<image>").
    When I use outlook (html format) , I receive a mail with the picture displayed at the bottom, it's perfect.
    However the problem is for the mailbox which is in text mode, I receive a mail with message + attachment files, but I also have some image frames generated by xxx.setHeader("Content-ID", "<image>") I guess.
    Who can give me a hand to implement something that able to make difference according to text format or html format.
    I post my code here, thanks a lot :
