SQLDeveloper - Extract DDL without doublequote around Objects

Hello,
I'm using SQLDeveloper (v 1.5.3) and I'm trying to export DDL from my packages, but i don't want any doublequote surrounding objects on the output!
Is there something I can do about it ?

Hi Keith,
The real lesson to learn is that SQL Developer offers a great Filter dialog. I learned to use a filter on public synonyms for even a small database. Just right-click on the object type node in the Connections view and choose the Apply Filter... option.

As you say, you can see the DDL, using the Code tab for the individual type selected in the Connection Navigator, so an alternative, is to select all types in the Types node and right -click for the context menu and select Export DDL.( you can export to file or the worksheet)
Your Export DDL dialog issue is something else. Can you post more detail about your exception here and let's look into it.

How to view the DDL script prior to object deployment in OWB 10g R2?
Here is what I' looking for: in 10gR2, let's say I've built dimension X, but it's not deployed yet. I've selected one of the deployment options, let's say: "Deploy to Catalog only". Now, I'd like to see a DDL script that will be executed at the deployment time. Where can I find this script? What screen? What menu?

Viewing the Scripts
After you have generated scripts for your target objects, you can open the scripts and
view the code. Warehouse Builder generates the following types of scripts:
■ DDL scripts: Creates or drops database objects.
■ SQL*Loader control files: Extracts and transports data from file sources.
■ ABAP scripts: Extracts and loads data from SAP systems.
To view the generated scripts:
1. From the Generation Results window, select an object in the navigation tree on the
left of the Generation Results dialog.
2. Select the Scripts tab on the right of this dialog.
The Scripts tab contains a list of the generated scripts for the object you selected.
3. Select a specific script and click the View Code button.

Extract DDL for Partitioned tables in Oracle 8i

Hi
I am currently working on an Oracle 8i database. I have a need to extract the DDL of the existing tables & indexes. Dont need a schema level DDL extract, i just need it for a couple of tables and the corresponding indexes. I am currently using PL/SQL Developer a third party tool which is okay for extracting DDL for Non Partitioned tables, but when it comes to getting the DDL for PARTITIONED tables, it doesnt give me the partition information nor the tablespace information. We dont have a license for Toad or any other tools to get the DDL's. I also dont have the export/import privs on the DB. I need a free ware that can give me the DDL for the existing partitioned tables or atleast a query that I can run against the regular DBA views, which can give me the DDL along with Storage clause, the tablespace, indexes, grants & constraints.

indexes, grants & constraints.But you (or the owner or the tables you connect with) should have export/import privs on its on tables (i.e the two tables). So use the User Views instead of DBA Views.

You can try the following steps to solve that
1. Delete the previous Delta Init for the InfoObject
If you have access to R/3 Side you can follow the steps or you can follow the BW Steps
Goto RSA7 ->Select and Delete the Init Request for the InfoObject
From BW Side
InfoPackage-> Inti for Source System -> Select & Delete
the Init Request
2. Execute the Init InfoPackage for the InfoPackage again.
3. After successful completion, execute the delta InfoPackage.

Diagnosis
The application program for the extraction of data was called up using the invalid InfoSource/invalid InfoObject 0JOB_ATTR.

The data extraction is terminated.
Procedure
Check the SAP Support Portal for the appropriate Notes and create a customer message if necessary.
I've found various threads with this error (or similar ones), but none of them are solved (or not published solution). Haven't found any SAP notes yet either, so any input would be very helpfull.

0JOB_ATTR not in use and SAP replaced this with 0EC_CJOB_ATTR... U have to use 0EC_CJOB_ATTR to load master data for 0JOB.
Even i faced the same problem and found the following info in one of the SDN thread, and we are using 0EC_CJOB_ATTR (make sure u have data in table HRP5050).
I have sent a message to SAP asking for the solution . Below is the reply what they gave.
"This error appears because of naming conventions we have to switch the name of the Data Source from 0JOB_ATTR to 0EC_CJOB_ATTR. Please use this data source to extract the compensation job attributes to BW.
Note also that data source 0EC_CJOB_ATTR extracts data from table HRP5050.
If no data is being extracted please do the following:
If you have data in HRP5050 and still do not get any data please try the following :
1) Take over the Data Source from the business content (RSA5)again and check in RSA3 .
2) Replicate the Data Source to BW
3) Activate the Info Source again.
4) Delete any previous delta initializations for the datasource.
5) Initialize the delta again
6) Try to load data".

How to create a new user without any sample objects from any other user?

Question as the title.
I had the example dababase installed when I installed the Oracle database.
Every time, when I create a new user, there will be some example objects coming
with the new user.
How can I remove these objects from the new user?
Or, how can I create a new user without the example objects?

I think the easiest way for you would be to use OEM.
Just locate each object that you want to remove and right click->remove. Don't bother doing this for any indexes as these will be removed when you drop the corresponding tables.
If you want to try command line through sqlplus then identify the objects you want to remove by selecting from the user_objects view while logged in as this user. This will give you the name and type of object. Then issue the relevant drop command.
It's probably worth making sure you have a valid backup first, just in case things go wrong!

Hi Venkat,
Have you checked to see if the ZTD_AW_17 infoobject is in your system and active? If not, transport the object from your D system to the P system. Also check the infosource to see if it is active and if the ZTD_AW_17 infoobject is there. If so reactivate the transfer rules and run the extraction again.

Oracle Golden Gate - Extract DDL only

Hi. We are working on a golden gate proof of concept. The way our configuration is set up, we want to pull changes from our standby to keep load low on the primary. This will require us to extract ddl changes from the primary, so my current plan is to put the dml on a 5 minute delay, and get the ddl immediately from the primary. I am running into two issues, one I cannot figure out the setting to get DDL only from the primary (right now I am getting both ddl and dml from the primary), and 2, I get the following error when retrieving data from the standby: 2015-04-16 20:08:40 ERROR OGG-00303 Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ext1.prm: Invalid destination "+DATA/dgdemo/archivelog" specified for TRANLOGOPTION ALTARCHIVELOGDEST option, and I also get an error when I do do specify an archivelog destination. Can anyone point me to the appropriate settings. Below is the parameter file:

OGG does not support ALTARCHIVELOGDEST parameter in ALO mode till OGG version 12c.
Does GoldenGate Parameter ALTARCHIVELOGDEST Support ASM Diskgroups ? (Doc ID 1393059.1)
Also In order to run Extract in the ALO mode when archived logs are stored in ASM, the original database configuration must have complete file specification in log_archive_dest_n setting. Incomplete file specification leads ASM to ignore log_archive_format. An Incomplete file spec only contain the diskgroup name like +ASMDISK1.
Users should ensure log_archive_dest is set using complete file specification. In that case, log_archive_format is honored by ASM, and Extract will work correctly.
For example:
