  • Accessing Java webservice (XML over http) via WCF or HTTP adapter with content-type and authorization HTTP headers with POST method

    Hi Team,
I need to access Java web service which is simple service and accepts and returns XML over HTTP. No credentials are needed to access the service. We need to pass following two HTTP headers (Content-Type and Authorization) along with XML request message:
<GetStatus> message is being constructed in the orchestration and URI is constant to access.
Which adapter shall I use to get the response back? I tried using WCF-WSHttp with Security Mode = Transport, and different options of client credential types but every time, error returned stating:
    System.Net.WebException:
The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Basic'. The
authentication header received from the server was 'Basic realm='.
Authentication failed for principal Basic. Message payload is of type:
    String
In Fiddler, request looks line following
    POST <https://URL/GetServiceReopnse HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: application/xml
    Authorization: Basic cmVmU3RhdHN2Y19kgeRfsdfs=
    Host: <Server name>
    <GetStatus XMLNS="http://server.com/.....">
    <OrgId>232323</OrgId>
    <HubId>3232342323</HubId>
    </GetStatus>
    MMK-007

First, you should not use the HTTP Adapter because it's been deprecated and replaced by WCF.
Start with the WCF-Custom Adapter and select the customBinding.
You should start with the textMessageEncoder and httpTransport and go from there.

  • List with Multiple Content Types and Making new Forms...

I go to create custom forms based on content types.  After I create using the wizard in the list it always shows the same form no matter which content type I pick.
    what am I doing wrong?
    David Jenkins

You can change the custom form on content type through SharePoint Designer. Do not change it on the content type directly, when you add content type in a list/library, then open list's content types in SP Designer and then select your content type and modify
the URLs of your custom display form.
I have updated a document in gallery for
step by step development of custom workflow and custom task form. In this document you can find the association of custom form with content type using SP Designer.

  • Site content types and site columns were absent

    hi,
i have seved a  sub site as a template which includes 20+ doc libs with 20+ site content ctypes which includes  15+ site columns  and then i have used this savedsite template in one site collection and implemented my
custom web parts and upload document fun. successfully.
now i have created another new site collection and forgot to create site content types and site columns as  we have seen the  site columns in the saved site template already.
now i realized that those  site content types and site columns were not there but the strange thing is that i am able to uplaod the documents  into those document libraries  which are not associated with site content types, without any error.
Can I create  the same in my new site collection ? since i have already created  many many sub sites based on the  saved site templates tested the functionality ,i dont wanna delete the template recreate all the sites  again in order
    to save the time.
    Now pls advice:
    1) if site columns / site contents  were not existing at the site collection level, will this affect my func. in future?
    2)   is there any automated way fo creating site columns, site content types, associateing these site content types with doc libs programmatically like power shell/ sp object model API.
    3) would like to any programmatic way of creating hundreds of sub sites based on the saved site templates in myw eb application/ site collection.

  • I need to restrict printing but keep the Content Type and Page Extraction allowed. How do I keep both the content type and page extraction displaying allowed?

When I change the settings to allow for the content type and page extraction and save it, it shows allowed.  When I close the pdf, reopen it, review the security properties, it shows the content type as allowed and the page extraction as disallowed. I need both to stay at allowed, how do make this happen?

The moment that you select not to allow any kind of change done to the file then pages extraction is automatically not allowed as well. There's no way around that.

  • Deployed lists in a SharePoint hosted app use the wrong content type.

I am using Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 to deploy a SharePoint hosted app to my SharePoint 2013 development environment.
I have created 2 lists, one of which is using a custom content type with custom columns and the other is just a simple custom list definition and instance, all of which are deployed inside the same feature.
However when I go to the simple list, it is using the content type from the other list, even though in the schema.xml shows that it is not supposed to use this content type. I have checked the content type ID and it is not referencing my custom content type,
but for some reason the list is using that content type.
I remember seeing this same issue a few months ago while creating a SP2010 sandbox solution. It could well be something I'm doing wrong when creating the lists/content type.
    Steps to recreate this issue:
Create a SharePoint hosted app in VS
    Create some custom fields
    Create a custom content type
Create a list based on that content type
Create another list not based on the content type
Delete feature that VS creates for the second list and add the list def and instance to the main feature (containing the other list and content type)
Deploy and go to second list, note that it has the custom fields from the first list.
Any advice on what to do about this would be great. I have tried deleting the list and recreating it in VS several times but that didn't work.
    Thanks
    David

    Hi
I have now tested against a trail Office  365 Developer site and I had to make a few adjustments
    - change the url
    - change the target to SharePoint Onlne
    - change the url
I still wasn't happy so I created a new SharePoint Hosted app and pointed at the above developer site.  I copied my CrossDomainExec.js and stripped all my code except my CopyItemInSameLIbrary method which hasn't changed since I created this post.
    - changed the App Manifest permissions to Web -full Control ( was previously tenant)
I still got errors which is really painful as you don't even see the POST request in Fiddler
The URL used for my POST is as follows ( note host URL is fictitious)
    "https://myapphell-547d8061d39e38.sharepoint.com/sites/appsdev/RESTTestSHA/_api/SP.AppContextSite(@target)/web/Getfilebyserverrelativeurl('/sites/appsdev/Shared Documents/SrcDoc.docx')/copyTo(strNewUrl='/sites/appsdev/Shared Documents/DestDoc.docx', bOverWrite=true)?@target='https://myapphell.sharepoint.com/sites/appsdev'" String
Ran the app a second time and now I see......Wow it WORKS!!!!!! ..Can't be true can it?
.... next I will switch the target url to my on prem farm to see if this still works so watch this space!

  • Content type and SJSAS 8.1: how is it handled after all?

    Hi,
I'm having a weird error while downloading certificate files from our SJSAS 8.1. For some files it sets the Content-Type, for others it does not. The GET request and its headers are always the same, but sometimes the response comes with a content type set, sometimes it sets the only the Accept-ranges header. Two examples follow:

Other thing is that the MIME types don't work. The app server ignores the types stated in the default-web.xml. Alright, but we need it to be at least deterministic when the file extensions are the same. The files I'm dealing with (these .gsc) are digital certificates in rfc printable format, but I don't think that should make a difference.
    Anyone gone through anything similar?
    Thanks a lot!
    Joo.

As long as you're using SJSAS to serve your port 80 traffic, default-web.xml should definitely be setting your mime type handling for the server. The only other things that will set this are custom settings in the web.xml for your individual applications, or specific mime types set by servelets you may have running in your application.
I've definitely set MIME types successfully just by editing default-web.xml and then bouncing the server.
    Hope that helps somehow.

I've only done this one but I seem to recall packaging these up as XML as normal columns and sompl referenced them in the Content type definition.  Having had a quick look on the inertubes for a refresher, I think this might point you in the right direction.

  • Sun BPEL engine sets wrong Content-Type on calling an external web service

I have a WSDL for an external web service (which as it happens is running in Websphere locally) and have implemented it as a
partnerlink on a BPEL diagram in an SOA composite project. The binding style is Document and if you use SOAPUI to test it it
works fine. Tracing on the web service's server shows the SOAP request coming in. It has a content-type of text/xml, as expected. If I do a JUnit test from NetBeans based on this WSDL alone it also works - same result. BUT if I do
a full test and call my BPEL process the invocation of this service from BPEL fails.
On the Test result you see
    BPCOR-6135:A fault was not handled in the process scope; Fault Name is http://www.sun.com/wsbpel/2.0/process/executable/SUNExtension/ErrorHandling}systemFault;
(This happens because I did not handle the fault in the BPEL.)
On the trace I see it now has Content-type of application/xop+xml. Why would the Sun BPEL engine change this? I just
accepted the usual defaults when I created the PartnerLink and the Invoke. Anyway, the format of the request doesn't match what the WS server expects, so it fails.
As far as I'm aware I'm just using SOAP1.1. This is NetBeans 6.5 with Glassfish 2.1. I tried with NetBeans 6.7 and it got worse, not better. I would certainly appreciate any advice?
    Thanks

Perhaps when the BPEL file based process calls the WSDL file to execute, their message communication is not correct.
    the head part in the WSDL file should be manually set to "text/xml", or the IDE or Server will use the default value;
    for example as follow:
SOAPUI tool would use the default value "text/xml" to request.(depends the tool support).
NetBeans tool would use the default value "text/xml" to request.
when you do a full test and you do not set the head "context-type" value ,the WSDL file use the server's default head
value"application/xop-xml" so that return the contents under the control of the server's default value.
I hope these will be useful for you.
