Standalone deployment & the Xalan transformer

Hi,
I'm using JDev and deploying/running against to a standalone instance.
Everything was fine until I upgraded my XSL transformer to the latest version of Xalan ( from the default Oracle Provided transformer).
Now I am getting an error when I deploy.
     "Neither this XML document's public nor system id's could be resolved: java.net.UnknownHostException: java.sun.com java.sun.com"
The top line of my ejb-jar.xml has the following line
     <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">
so I think the standalone instance is trying to access the internet for the DTD during the deployment process & failing.
I note that I am not having this problem when I deploy to a real 9iAS Applicvation server.
It is not an option to roll back to the Oracle XSL transformer as it is too slow for our application ( with Xalan & using translets we get a throughput increase of approx 350%).
Can anyone help we with this?
thanks in advance,
Kevin

Are you transforming the ejb-jar.xml with an XSLT?
The DOCTYPE declaration is not required for the transformation; and may be removed from the ejb-jar.xml.

  • Missing library error while deploying the ADFBC application

    Hi,
    I have small application developped using ADFBC. The application is working perfectly fine when I run the app using JDev.
    When I try to deploy the app to the standalone oc4j, I am getting following error...
    Binding SRDemoApp web-module for application SRDemoApp to site default-web-site under context root SRDemoApp
    Exception: NoClassDefFoundError:
         Missing class: oracle.jbo.ApplicationModule

         Configuration: WEB-INF/classes/ in /home/oracle/jdev/JDev4745/j2ee/home/applications/SRDemoApp/SRDemoApp/WEB-INF/classes
    The missing class is available from the following locations:
         1. Code-Source: /home/oracle/jdev/JDev4745/BC4J/lib/adfm.jar (from <code-source> (ignore manifest Class-Path) in /home/oracle/jdev/JDev4745/j2ee/home/config/server.xml)
         This code-source is available in loader adf.oracle.domain:11.1.1. This shared-library can be imported by the "SRDemoApp" application.
         This code-source is available in loader adf.generic.domain:11.1.1.
    I have adfm.jar in the BC4J/lib also.
    Some body please help me out

    Finaly we solved this...
    Actualy we need to add the below tag in applications.xml
    <imported-shared-libraries>
    <import-shared-library name="adf.generic.domain" />

  • Delivery Assignment to Device group in standalone deployment?

    Hi,
    I am using the standalone deployment of SAP AII 2.1. I have the following two queries regarding assignment of deliveries to device groups.
    1. I am able to assign the same delivery to multiple device groups with same business roles as well as different business roles at the same time.
    For example, I am assigning the delivery to a device group that handles tag commissioning and I also assign the same delivery to a device group that handles the loading at the same time. Is this the correct behavior?
    Or is it that once a delivery is assigned to a device group, it should be first processed by that device group or unassigned before the same delivery can be assigned to a different device group?
    If this is the case, then is there any configuration setting in AII that can control the delivery assignment to device groups?
    2. Logically I believe that only one delivery can be assigned to a device group.
    I assign a delivery to a device group. Then I immediately assign another delivery to the same device group. I believe that the first delivery gets unassigned from the device group, but there is no message to this effect
    Again is there any configuration setting for handling this situation?
    Regards,
    Dhananjay

    What you are deploying is a Client Settings policy, not the client itself. This is akin to a Group Policy Object being linked to an OU. The machines in the collection which already have the ConfigMgr client will process those policies, but additional non-client
    machines added to the collection will not automatically install the client.
    As Torsten indicated, you can deploy the client to these machines using the manual client push method.  Simply right click on the clients themselves (or the collection) and select Install Client.  If doing it at the collection level, I recommend
    against selecting "Always install the client software" in the wizard as it will force an unnecessary repair of the existing ConfigMgr clients. I would recommend testing this on one machine in the collection in question before attempting to do them in bulk.
    Note that this requires that a Client Push Installation account be configured (Administration > Site Configuration > Sites > Client Installation Settings >  Client Push Installation > Accounts tab) which has admin rights on the clients.
    You *DO NOT need to enabled site-wide client push installation* to be able to use the Install Client method in the console. Enabling this will force the client to attempt installation on ALL systems that ConfigMgr sees.

  • How to deploy the Oracle Forms and Reports 10g in Web?

    Currently I am working in Oracle forms & Reports conversion project (6i to 10g).
    As of now 6i forms working as a standalone application. After migrated it to 10g, I need to deploy the forms and reports in web.
    Any one know how to deploy the Oracle forms and Reports in web?
    Please help me out. Thanks in advance.
    Vimal

    Hello Frank,
    for development, you need to install Oracle Developer
    Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
    What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
    Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.
    Best regards,

    At the time of development we use to work on standalone OC4J server and deploy the files on to the server and then by running the index.jsp file the provider use to get running..
    The we use to find our .jsp files in portlet staging area..
    No we dont have any idea how to deploy this project at the server end OC4j.. as there are several modules in our project we need to integrate them and then deploy..
    In Simple words i need steps to deploy a oracle portal web application developed using oracle PDK on to oracle 10g AS.. We need to go live ASAP.. please help me..

    You can use Oracle Software Packager. It can be found on this site.

  • TransformerException -- possible bug in weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl

    Using WebLogic Server 6.1 SP2. Am using xslt to transform xml into html. After
    repeatedly
    using the same Transformer object to transform different xml documents, the Transformer
    eventually becomes corrupt – sometimes after 20 or so transforms, sometimes only
    after
    thousands.
    Once the Transformer object becomes corrupt, any additional attempt to call the
    transform
    method results in the following exception:
    =============================
    javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: -1
    at weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.transformNode(TransformerImpl.java:1248)
    at weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.transform(TransformerImpl.java:483)
    at weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.transform(TransformerImpl.java:1153)
    at … <snip>
    Caused by: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1
    at weblogic.apache.xml.utils.NodeVector.popQuick(NodeVector.java:247)
    at weblogic.apache.xpath.XPathContext.popCurrentNode(XPathContext.java:552)
    at weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.applyTemplateToNode(TransformerImpl.java:2100)
    at weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.transformNode(TransformerImpl.java:1225)
    at … <snip>
    =============================
    Using cavaj to decompile weblogic.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl yields:
    Method: applyTemplateToNode:
    try
    pushElemTemplateElement(elemtemplateelement1);
    m_xcontext.pushCurrentNode(node);
         <snip>
    catch(SAXException saxexception)
    throw new TransformerException(saxexception);
    finally
    m_xcontext.popCurrentNode();
         <snip>
    So what appears to be happening is that one of the two push calls at the beginning
    of the try
    block is throwing an Exception, causing the pop method to be called in the finally
    block without
    first having had a successful call to push. The corresponding NodeVector inside
    m_xcontext
    thereupon becomes corrupt, and it is only a matter of time before the above
    ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException appears.
    Unfortunately, we are unable to consistently reproduce this Transformer corruption
    and
    currently have no idea how it happens in the first place. We figure there’s probably
    some sort
    of error in our xsl stylesheet which is at the root of all this, but have had
    no luck in finding it.
    So, two questions:
    1.) Has anyone encountered this problem of having a bad xsl stylesheet which,
    when applied
    repeatedly on certain xml documents, can cause the Transformer to become corrupt
    as a result
    of calling NodeVector.pop without a corresponding call to NodeVector.push? If
    so, do you have
    a simple example of the type of xsl template and/or xml document which might reproduce
    the
    scenario.
    2.) Would not the above code snippet in TransformerImpl be considered buggy in
    any case,
    since it should not be possible for an invalid xsl stylesheet to permanently corrupt
    the
    Transformer? If there’s agreement that this represents a bug in TransformerImpl,
    has it been
    fixed in 6.1 SP3 or higher, or in subsequent versions of the Weblogic Server?
    Thanks,
    John

    hi,
    I've just recently started getting this error too. It's completely random as
    to when it occurs. My system can process hundreds of translations with no problems
    and then once and awhile I get this exact error.
    I'm using WebLogic v7.0 sp2. I've noticed however that this only happens on my
    Windows system - I've got it running on a solairs box with no problems.
    Has anyone else seen this ?
    Thanks.

    m_xcontext.popCurrentNode();
         <snip>
    So what appears to be happening is that one of the two push calls at
    the beginning
    of the try
    block is throwing an Exception, causing the pop method to be called in
    the finally
    block without
    first having had a successful call to push. The corresponding NodeVector
    inside
    m_xcontext
    thereupon becomes corrupt, and it is only a matter of time before the
    above
    ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException appears.
    Unfortunately, we are unable to consistently reproduce this Transformer
    corruption
    and
    currently have no idea how it happens in the first place. We figure
    there’s probably
    some sort
    of error in our xsl stylesheet which is at the root of all this, but
    have had
    no luck in finding it.
    So, two questions:
    1.) Has anyone encountered this problem of having a bad xsl stylesheet
    which,
    when applied
    repeatedly on certain xml documents, can cause the Transformer to become
    corrupt
    as a result
    of calling NodeVector.pop without a corresponding call to NodeVector.push?
    If
    so, do you have
    a simple example of the type of xsl template and/or xml document which
    might reproduce
    the
    scenario.
    2.) Would not the above code snippet in TransformerImpl be considered
    buggy in
    any case,
    since it should not be possible for an invalid xsl stylesheet to permanently
    corrupt
    the
    Transformer? If there’s agreement that this represents a bug in TransformerImpl,
    has it been
    fixed in 6.1 SP3 or higher, or in subsequent versions of the Weblogic
    Server?
    Thanks,
    John

  • Awkward NullPointerException in Xalan transformations

    L.S,
    I'm having a serious problem with XSL transformations using Apache Xalan 2.6.0: a transformation works once, but multiple calls to the method will cause a null-pointer exception to occur within the TrAXFilter object taking care of the transformation.
    The class responsible for transforming any XML messages in our system looks like this (class MessageWriter appearing at line 14 is a JAXB marshalling class we've developed; class FilterManager appearing at line 21 returns an array of 1 hard-coded XMLFilter object):
    public class MessageBuilder {
      private final static SAXParserFactory XML_PARSER = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
      public static String getXmlMessage(MessageSDO message) {
        String xml = MessageWriter.doMarshal(message);
        try {
          SAXParser parser = XML_PARSER.newSAXParser();
          XMLReader reader = XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader();
          InputSource srcInput = new InputSource(new StringReader(xml));
          FilterManager ftrManager = (FilterManager) ConfigurationManager.
            getInstance(ConfigurationManager.BOUNDARY).getBean(FilterManager.class);
          XMLFilter[] filters = ftrManager.getOutputFilters(message);
          if (filters.length > 0) {
            for (int i=0;i<filters.length;i++) {
              filters.setParent((i==0)? reader : filters[i-1]);
    Serializer serializer = SerializerFactory.getSerializer(OutputPropertiesFactory.getDefaultMethodProperties("xml"));
    ByteArrayOutputStream output = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    serializer.setOutputStream(output);
    filters[filters.length-1].setContentHandler(serializer.asContentHandler());
    filters[filters.length-1].parse(srcInput);
    xml = output.toString();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    throw new RuntimeException(e);
    return xml;
    The test I've run (if 2nd block commented out test succeeds, otherwise it fails on that 2nd attempt):
    public void testTransformedOutput() {
      System.out.println("Transformed output test:\n\n");
      MessageSDO msg = MockSDOFactory.getInstance().getMessageSDO();
      String xmlMsg = MessageBuilder.getXmlMessage(msg);
      /*System.out.println("Transformed output test, 2nd pass:\n\n");
        MessageSDO msg2 = MockSDOFactory.getInstance().getMessageSDO();
        String xmlMsg2 = MessageBuilder.getXmlMessage(msg2);*/
    }The exception message:

    at org.boundary.helper.MessageBuilder.getXmlMessage(MessageBuilder.java:36)
    // Line 36 in MessageBuilder is:
    // filters[filters.length-1].parse(srcInput);What I don't yet understand is how TrAXFilter manages to somehow not have a parent in the 2nd pass of the test, while it does in the 1st pass. I've tried a few things already, but so far haven't been able to find a solution.
    Does anyone know of a bug like this? Or is it clear to someone what I'm doing completely wrong here? I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

    I've been able to solve this problem and since others might be interested, I thought I'd post the solution here as well.
    It turns out that XMLFilter objects cannot be reused. This isn't documented very well, and undoubtedly doesn't come as a surprise to the more experienced XML specialists out there, but it's something you need to know. As a result, instead of using XMLFilter objects for repetetive transformations, you need to use an alternative, namely [url http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/xml/transform/Templates.html]Templates objects:
    final SAXTransformerFactory FACTORY = (SAXTransformerFactory) TransformerFactory.newInstance();
    File xslFile = new File("someStylesheet.xsl");
    StreamSource src = new StreamSource(xslFile);
    Templates template = FACTORY.newTemplates(src);
    // Later on, you can repeatedly do this:
    String xml = getSomeXMLDocument();
    InputSource srcInput = new InputSource(new StringReader(xml));
    XMLFilter filter = FACTORY.newXMLFilter(template); // Use cached template instead of parsing XSL file every time...
    XMLReader reader = XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader();
    filter.setParent(reader);
    Serializer serializer = SerializerFactory.getSerializer(OutputPropertiesFactory.getDefaultMethodProperties("xml"));
    ByteArrayOutputStream output = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    serializer.setOutputStream(output);
    filter.setContentHandler(serializer.asContentHandler());
    filter.parse(srcInput);
    String xml = output.toString();

  • Xalan transformer

    Hello,
    the code below is giving me the exception below.
    I would greatly appreciate if anyone cud tell me the solution.
    fin = new FileInputStream("c:/input.xml");
    fout = new FileOutputStream("c:/html/output.html");
                        try
                        fullTransformer.transform(new StreamSource(fin), new
    StreamResult(fout));
                   catch (Exception ex1)
                        System.out.println("Null Pointer exception thrown in Full");

    The first thing to try is add a few lines of code to check that fin and fout are not null. Maybe for some reason the file could not be opened.
    How does your stylesheet look? Is it simple or complicated? Which version of Xalan are you using? Try downloading a new version at http://xml.apache.org. I once had a NullPointerException with Xalan which was caused by a bug in Xalan.

    Here is the reason for this problem....
    JDK 1.4 comes with a version of Xalan...
    Somewhere around 1.4.2_03 the Xalan version that shipped with the JDK was upgraded because the XSLT spec was completed/revised or something like that.. When this happend the namespace identifier for xalan custom 'tags' changed. The content-handler tag used to be in the xslt name space.. now it is in the xalan namespace.
    Problem is many stylesheets don't specifically set the output format so the defaults are used and the values are initialized from a properties file. However.... and this is where the problems comes in...
    The Namespaces are used as prefixes to the keys in the file... AND... Tomcat''s WebappClassLoader is not safe about ensuring that a resource is loaded from the same Jar file as the classes that use it....
    So what is happening is... the Xalan from your JVM is being used... but it is loading the formatting properties from a Xalan that is included in your Webapp.... which of course don't match....
    All you need to do is remove the xalanXXX.jar from WEB-INF/lib and this problem will go away...

    When we run Sneak Preview SAPNetWeaver java 04 SP16 SP7 with a version on Xalan version 2.60 or Xalan version 2.70 along with jdk 1.4.2_11, We get error 503 Service Unavailable, Application cannot be started
    Details: com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Error while parsing file “data-source-aliases.xml”.

    Hi
    SAP does not allow usage of any other XML parsers with SAP web AS.
    please have a look at this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/36/ef353e39011a38e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    "Setting system properties in a system that supports more than one parser is prohibited".
    The Error which you are getting is because one of the
    java.system properties for parsing is
    getting changed by xalan. These system properties are explictly set by the SAP XML implementation which it does not allow you to change.
    Also can you please let me know where are you placing the xalan jar file ? is it deployed as a j2ee library or part of war ?
    Hope this helps. please mark points for helpful answers

  • Configuring the XSLT transformation service

    I need to use XSL-T 2.0 in a service. The documentation for XSLT Transformation says that an alternate service provider can be used. It says I need to supply a string value that represents the fully qualified name of the Java class to use for performing the XSLT transformation, such as org.apache.xalan.xslt.XSLTProcessor. The Java class used must extend javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory and must be available to the class loader of the LiveCycle ES server.
    The Saxon XSL-T engine supports the required interface, but I have not been able to install it successfully. In theory, it is a component that can be installed from the Components panel, but when I try that I receive the message "An error occurred. Please check the Eclipse error log for details". I have not been able to locate the error log.
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
    --RKW

    Thanks for the assistance. That turns out to be the right advice. If you want to use the Saxon processor, you need to put the following jars in the server\all\lib folder:
    saxon8.jar
    saxon8-dom.jar
    --RKW

  • Getting  SCAC-50012 while deploying the workflow

    Hi,
    I have embedded java code in my workflow. While deploying the workflow it throws the SCAC-50012 error. Please suggest the reason for this issue.

    Did you add all the referenced jars in your BPEL classpath as Kevin has suggested. You compile your code as a standalone piece and see what are the jars that are being referenced by your application. Then add all those jars in BPEL class path.
    Try the tutorial in the OBE link which Karthik has suggested. See if you are getting the same error. Then you can find out what mistake you are doing.
