Standard Communication Method - Table Download

Hi, I'm new to the community. Does anyone know what table I can use to download the Standard Communication Method by customer number? I'm looking to get what percent breakout the methods are for thousands of customers.

you will find the Comm Method in Table ADRC field DEFLT_COMM.
first you need to get the ADRNR (address number) per customer from KNA1.

Hi,
In the transaction XK02 I change the standard communication method to email. When I create a new PO with ME21N I want the message to be create auto. with the std. comm. method define in the XK02. I don't want to use MN05 to define for each vendor a condition record.
I want to use it like the communication language of the vendor work.

Vendor master standard communication method

Hi ,
I have a requirement where in XK02 vendor:address, communication method need to be saved .
At present we dont have EDI option maintained in that list .I maintained one entry
in the TSAC table, which makes it available in the list. But when I save it, it gives following error
Internal error - ADDR_CHECK_COMM_EXISTS call error.
when i debuuged it I see that in one std FM called in the background
ADDR_CHECK_COMM_EXISTS the following code is there which doesnot have an option for EDI which is why its erroring out .
Please advice me how can I deal with this to save the communication method EDI for the vendor.

Multiple communication methods in vendor master data

Hi,
We are implementing ECC 6 for our client in denmark. Client wants to send purchase order conformations and invoices should be faxed to vendor and payment advices should be sent through E-Mail ID. I have maintained standard communication in vendor master data as Fax and inputed Fax numer also and maintained E-mail ID in other communication of vendor, But system is not picking up fax number to send the purchase order and invoice details. Instead system is picking up E-mail ID and sending the data. It is not picking up standard communication method FAX. Payment advices are sent through E-mail, that was working fine.

Check the vendor master other communications
Check whether did you activate the dont use communication number check box.
If it is,deselect check box and check once again

Communication method in Vendor master required at company code level

Standard Communication method field in Vendor master, which determines the method of communication with the business partner, is placed at General data level. Business uses same Vendor master across company codes / purchase organizations. The communication method for each of them can be different for the same Vendor record. This currently is a limitation in using MDM for Vendor data management. Is there a way to either move std communication method field to purchase org / company code level ? Is there any other possibility availble for meeting this business requirement ?

The requirement is to have communication method by country (company code / purchase org). That will enable business to have different communication methods (print, fax, EDI etc) with corresponding Vendor business partners in respective country.

In Extended Classic scenario, our requirement is for one specifc Supplier, I need to define the PO output to "Print". I changed the Standard Communication Method from Email to "PRT in ECC and replicated into SRM.
First, my replication is not working. So, I manually changed the communication method to PRT in BP. However, still the PO output is showing email. (though ADRC-DEFLT_COMM already changed to PRT)
Can someone tell me what am I missing.

You can go to transaction BBPMAININT in SRM and
in first screen maintain the "Standard communications protocol" has email/fax etc.
also maintain email addresses / fax in same page and transaction

How to access a table of SAP standard SAP method from external program

Hi Friends,
I have to access a table and modified it defined in a standard SAP method (PROCESS_INPUT_FILTER) of class (CL_HANDLE_MM).
As we normaly do it in case of Standard program
for example: ('(SAPLMEPO)ett[]') here we are accessing internal table ett defined in SAPLMEPO.
so how we can do the same thing if some thing defined in standard SAP method.

divisible by .5 in order to test for whole or half numbers only. If not, I use an alert to
display a message when the user leaves the field.
If there is a better way to achieve this, I am all ears!

Deactivate few Communication methods for Contact persons

Hi Forum,
I have a requirement wherein I will have to hide few commincation methods in Contact persons(BP category-Person).The communication methods as <b>Standard Comm.Method</b> for contact person viz.,RML(Remote Mail), SSF(Secure store & Forw.) etc need to hidden. I found no place where these values for communication methods are maintained in SPRO. Please guide how I can achieve this.

How to delete standard payment method in use

I am trying to delete some of the standard payment methods from table "V_T042ZL" but wont able to do as its giving error "The payment method still used by some of the company codes."Now i found its used by some of the company codes.So please let me know where its assigned with company codes which needs to be deleted to delete standard payment method.

payment methods which are already existed, if u wanted to use u can use or you can create by going to new entries
payment mehtod is defined with single digit code, the same payment mehod is defaulted with a feataure called ZLSCH
so the payment method is defaulted in 0009 info type
that is enough

Method for Downloading Huge Data from SAP system

we need to download the huge data from one SAP system & then, need to migrate into another SAP system.
is there any better method, except downloading data through SE11/SE16 ? please advice.

I have already done several system mergers, and we usually do not have the need to download data.
SAP can talk to SAP. with RFC and by using ALE/IDOC communication.
so it is possible to send e.g. material master with BD10 per IDOC from system A to system B.
you can define that the IDOC is collected, which means it is saved to a file on the application server of the receiving system.
you then can use LSMW and read this file with several hundred thousand of IDOCs as source.
Field mapping is easy if you use IDOC method for import, because then you have a 1:1 field mapping.
So you need only to focus on the few fields where the values changes from old to new system..

Hi friends, Problems with Special Characters in Table download to Excel.

I am using Binary Cache method to download to excel. The problem is that there are certain fields in the back end R/3 that has special characters in it eg : & * £ # etc.
As a result, the download is not working for these rows. Please can any of you tell me how to get rid of this. As an example let's say I wan to replace the "&" with "and".

SCOT transaction has no Communications Methods

I am trying to set up an integration with another product and running into a problem. It says to execute the SCOT transaction, then choose Communications Methods from the Settings menu. But I have no Communications Methods on that menu. How do I get it?

I am on 7.0.2 which I downloaded as NWASABAPTRIAL70206 parts 1 and 2.
I am not sure what to look for....

Hot to get the recipient mail ids entered in the communication method?

In VA02, Extras->Output->Header->Edit, here i choose Simple mail option and click communication method i will enter the mail id and save...While saving, the automatic mail will be sent to recipient. How to fetch these mail ids entered in the communicaiton method? Any function module, or any tables? There is no direct link to get these ids. Please provide your inputs,

You probably need to maintain condition records in NACE transaction and e-mail ids should be picked automatically from there.

Load data from BW 7.0 DSO into a ECC 6.0 SD standard/Custom pricing table

Gurus,
We have a scenario, where we need to load data from a BW DSO to SD standard/Custom pricing table in ECC 6.0. That data will be few thousand records.
Per my knowledge, in BPS, retractors are available to update data from BW to ECC and OpenHub also can be used to handle similar scenarios.
Any one of you came across similar scenario?
If you have any third option (not BPS rectors or OpeHub) as a solution to handle this kind scenario, and share the knowledge, it will be greatly appreciated.

We have large data volumes for Billing datasource and hence moving flat files using PI is not an option and also as i mentioned a part of requirement is monitoring of the whole process as well. What i mean by this is if a 1000 billing document items were passed on to CRM7 to create a member activities and because of some reason a member activity was not created for one of the billing doc items, we should know the problematic record and reason why member activity was not created in CRM7 (reason code). And then be able to fix it. All this requires an end to end monitoring capability and also guaranteed delivery of data to CRM7.
Hence i was trying to explore the enterprise web service option.
What i am not sure of is how to expose BW DSO delta request to CRM7 using a web service ? or any other method that gives end to end monitoring capability and also guaranteed delivery of data to CRM7.
Any other suggestions ?

BBPGETVD does nor replicate Standard Comm Method - FAX

Hi All,
When I use BBPGETVD tcode to transfer new vendor into SRM from ERP. It Transfers all data except Standard Comm Method - FAX but it defaults to Standard Comm. Method as EMAIL.
Although the vendor was set up as FAX.
We have to use Tcode BP to update that field independently once the vendor master data is transferred to SRM.
Can anyone suggest why is this working differently ? Is there a place where Vendor Master Fields/screens are configured in SPRO in SRM for Tcode BBPGETVD ?
Any help is highly appreciated.

I guess fax number is populated in R/3 vendor master ?
Did you check for existing logs concerning this vendor after replication in SLG1 transaction ?
And what about BBPUPDVD after first vendor replication: does it correctly update communication method ?
You can also debug BBPGETVD to find what the problem is and look for OSS notes (for example 1171493 - Send Medium not updated for Business Partner for SRM_SERVER 5.5 and 6).
