Start following process human task direct from exising one

Hi all,
Is it possible to start the following human task inside an integrated BPM process directly from the former (now in usage) task??
For understanding the scenario: I want the user to edit some global ERP data and after ending this, the global data should be posted to ERP with a direct RFC call, which can be the next step in BPM process (but I also can call it from UI). The first task has to be closed, because of data flow controlling parameters. The next human task, to edit local ERP data should be started immediately. I don't want the user to go to UWL again.
I thought about starting the BPM process with the BPM API, so that I can save process instance ID in context. Is it possible to get the task ID of the actual task of the process? And is the next task callable directly in the same window or another window or tab?
Any suggestions?

Hi Alexander,
yes, this could be possible with the public API in EHP1 of NW 7.3 (currently in rampup).
There you have the process instance ID available in the process context, so you can map it to the task.
Then, use the public API to retrieve the task for the given process instance, and then forward to the task URL.
You would need to implement some kind of polling mechanism though, since it may take some time until the next task is created (this happens asynchronously).

Creating uwl tasks directly from vc...

Hi all,
cud u plz tel me how to create a uwl task for a particular user directly from visual composer.
like in my scenario i have an iview which contains a form with text fields and a submit button. when the fields are selected and submitted, these data should get displayed in tasks of a particular users( whichever is assigned) uwl in the portal.
how should this be implimented.

Accessing Human Task Payload from ADF Task Flow

Hi
Using jDeveloper 11g TP4 SOA...
The scenario is this:
1. We have created a Human Task which has parameters accountId and accountType in the payload.
2. We have then created a Task Flow based on that human task.
3. Inside the web folder with task flow we have *4 task display forms* (jspx pages).
4. In the task flow we have the 4 pages and then a router
5. Now we want the router to look in the payload of the human task and based on the accountType redirect to the correct task display form.
Problem: We can't access the human task data control from the router in the task flow.
Does anyone have some insigt into how we can read the accountType from the payload and then pick the correct task display form?

How to change Human Task state from "Completed" back to "Assigned"

I am working with human task through BPEL Worklist API
There is Human Task with state “completed”. We need to change the state back to “Assigned”
In other words or get this task with “Assigned” state or get exactly the same task with the same number (that I can use as int parameter in ITaskQueryService.getTaskDetailsByNumber method invocation) .
Is it possible?
I tried to use ITaskService methods but without results.

This request sits in table RSBKREQUEST with processing type as 2 in data elements USTATE, TSTATE and this 2 is actually "Processed Successfully" status which is obviously wrong.
All we need is, ask your basis person to change the status to 3 in both these data elements.Then you can delete the previous bad request . Once the request is deleted, the request status gets updated as "4" in table RSBKREQUEST.
For manually status change you can use the function module RSBM_GUI_CHANGE_USTATE

we need to perform the following steps which not mentioned in the sample :
1. Login to EM link using Admin username/password:
2. Select <domain>-> SOA-><SOA Infra> and right click:
SOA Administration->Workflow Task Service Properties
3. On the Right Hand Side select:
Advanced->More Workflow Taskservice Configuration Properties
then
oracle.as.soainfra.config->Server:<servername>->WorkflowConfig->human-workflow
On the Right Hand side click on the Operations tab and then click on the CreateLocale operation.
4. Provide the following parameters:
Language: de
defaultFlag: false
enableFlag: True
5. Click on Invoke.

How do I start Firefox in Debian 5 directly from shell script without a dialog asking what to do?

Running Debian 5.04. I downloaded the tarball from Mozilla website and extracted the files to my home directory. When I double-click on the Firefox start-up shell script, I get a dialog window asking if I want to run ina terminal window, display the shell's contents or run the program. Choosing "Run" starts Firefox successfully, but I'd like to by-pass the dialog and just have Firefox start. How to do this? TIA

Right click on the desktop and choose 'Create Launcher'. There enter the details so start the program directly not via a script. This did the trick for me for another program.

Accessing output variables from human task

Hi,
I added a human task in my process (jdev 10.1.3) and set up a parameter to be an input field in the jsp. However, I could not find a way to copy the value from this particular variable even though this parameter is a child of payload. Do I have to define the query manually or did I miss something?

How do you know how exactly to create the copy rules? JDev does not support this, that much was answered before. I would absolutely appreciate if someone could
1. Tell me something about the namespaces in the copy rules e.g. why is it /auto:loan and not just /loan?
2. An example on how to create such things.

Throwing Business Exception from Human Task

Hi,
Can anyone point me to some examples, of how can I configure a Human Task to throw a business exception in a BPMN process ?
I want to provide th user with the ability of completing the task normaly, or launch a business exception like, cancel the order, or lack of stock.
I'm using Fusion 11g.

Thanks for the reply. But, I'm not sure I understood you correctly. What I want, is not to capture an exception after a human task, but to generate one in it. I want to add an error boundary event to a human task. The user can fill the form normally (for example a purchase order) and the normal flow continues or he can generate an exception (like cancel case, or lack of stock) that will be cought by the error boundary event.
What I want to know is how can I generate a business exception inside a human task? For example in the interface.
Is this the right way to do it ? Am I missing something ?

Getting an error when tried to access task form from worklist app

I am using 10.1.3.4 BPEL PM. I have created a bpel process with a human task.
From the worklist application, when the approver clicks on: Task Id (ideally it should open task form).
In my case, I am getting an error:

It works fine in SOA suite 10.1.3.1. and does not work in BPEL PM 10.1.3.4
The only difference is I deployed in 10.1.3.1 using Ant script of bpel project and in 10.1.3.4 I deployed using the BPEL Console itself by browsing the project jar(Since I am getting error when tried to deploy it using Ant).
Is it a known bug or am I making anything wrong. Tried with both Autogeneration and Custom form

check for all of the human tasks workflow contexts tasks forms for dynamic pointers for
domain_id, process_id, process_version.

Human Task form deployment issue

How to deploy Human Task form WAR file to the BPEL OC4J container through SOA em console. I have viewed through em console but i cant see any option for (war or ear ) work flow deployment. Please suggest.

That i understood, depends upon client's request we are going to deploy. But i'm concerning my case here. To run a sample application whether it is enough to deploy both bpel process & Human task work floe form from JDeveloper or I have to use SOA server suite.

Customization of Human tasks the BPM Worklist App with ADF App

Hi All,
We are building a custom ADF application which aims to combine several business process human tasks to a unified interface.
And how to integrate the Human Task Flow BPM Worklist to my ADF App.
Otherthan that
To the BPM Worklist App we want to do customizations also like
1.Want to customize to apply our own custom skins to customize banner logo, title to the BPM Human Task Flow App.......
2.And based on the logged in user/role we wanted to restrict the features of the Work List App.
Say for Example should not provide the Facility to Add New Page if the logged in user is not an Admin, like wise no provision to add or modify or delete the Worklist Views like that...
How to get control the App based on User/Role
Any help or pointers would be appreciated!
I have ADF Experience from projects Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.
But, for me this is the first BPM case.

Hi Renuka,
There are basically two ways to create an ADF UI for a BPM Task:
1. Generate it from the task
2. Create a ADF Taskflow based on Human Workflow Task
Since I tell this by heart, I might be slightly wrong in the terms.
You probably want to try the second option. It is accessible from the "New Gallery". You'll have to provide the Human Task from the BPM project, but then you can build up the ADF Taskflow by your self, based on the customizations of the rest of your application.
Should not be rocket science for someone with ADF11g experience. Since it is not my dayly job, I need to figure it out every time again ;). But I did it in the past and it wasn't so hard.

How to get the contents of more than one comments of human task?

The human task have more than one comments. I use the following functions to get the contents but still only get the first comment. Append function only returns the first comment.
How to get all conents of comments?

Update Human Task Payload

I need to update a Human Task Payload from another BPEL Proccess. I tried using TaskService and I can set Outcome and Release the task but I cannot update the Task Payload.
I'm doing this using a JSP client and works well but I need to do that through a SOAP Service
Somebody can help me?

Create your own variable-set and copy the outcome from the task to this variables with an assign-activity.
You can now modify them as you need.

Assign the next human task to the specific participant??

If my process has two swam, the first swan has a Script Task, and the second swan has a human task. If I want the script task to update the participant for the next human task who will belong to the role, how can I do it? Can I do it on the over the xpath? Because each human task should belong to one of the specific people in the role to handle, I don't want to show it to all people who belong to same role in the workspace.

In BPM 11g you can use xpath expression to assign users, groups, or roles. See this section in the docs:
