Static links with dynamic Gallery content

OK, I do not want to sound crazy with this request but it has some logic that may be usefull.
I have the Dynamic Photo Gallery with a Dynamic List Menu from the Spry Samples and want to select the id or someway to load the Dynamic List Menu Item with a fixed link. If I have 3 Galleries.... China, Eqypt & Paris, can I not just link or use an onClick handler to select the new gallery?

If i understand you correctly you want to use links, instead of a select.. You can do it like this:

Hello... I have an problem. I want programm an static design and and static menue, but the content must be dynamic. I know how it work with frames, but how does it work with an site only with tables... like this:

The menu is static but the content is dynamic and is work without frames.. But how? In the faces-config.xml is just an frame value:

Which OCI library to use for static linking with application on Unix, Linux

I am new to OCI programming.
I am developing a C++ application that works on Windows 7 (32, 64 bit, VS-9) and Linux (32, 64 bit), with OCI-11.2.0.3 version and Oracle 10g Express edition.
I want to statically link OCI library in my application.
For Windows, I got oci.lib in the package: instantclient-sdk-nt-11.2.0.3.0.zip\instantclient_11_2\sdk\lib\msvc downloaded from [Instantclient download location.|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/instant-client/index-097480.html] .
But, the instanclient packages instantclient-basic-linux-11.2.0.3.0.zip & instantclient-sdk-linux-11.2.0.3.0.zip do not contain a static archive for OCI library.
These packages have only include files and following .so (shared libraries) for Linux:
libclntsh.so.11.1
libnnz11.so
libocci.so.11.1
libociei.so
libocijdbc11.so
Can someone please guide me, where can I find the static archive (possibly liboci.a or libociei.a) for OCI-11.2.0.3 - 32 & 64 bit?

Actually, you can link to all *.a files in $ORACLE_HOME/lib
EXCEPT: libclntst11.a and libexpat.a

Challenge with dynamic rendered content

I have a complex JSF file that I want to conditionally render a portion of the page based on a dynamic value. Here is the simplified scenario.

...The JSP's mbean has an id value binding which is key to determining the return value of aRequestScopedMbean.showValue. In other words the getShowValue method uses the id to determine its return result. Unfortunately, during server side processing, it appears that during the early JSF phases (I believe the restore view phase) the framework tries to determine the result from our showValue method, but that method fails because the id has not yet been restored.
I must be missing something as this scenario seems fairly simple. The only solution that I can devise is to put the id as a session scoped variable, that is a viable solution for this trivial case, but that won't suffice because the actual pages that I'm working with would contain too much session data.
What am I missing?

I don't think you are missing anything. That's just how it works.
The rendered component property is checked many times within the lifecycle as the lifecycle methods are applied to the component tree.
As you already seem to know, the problem is that your showValue expression is being called before you set the id value. Here are a couple suggestions:
1. You can try to "send" the id parameter to your managed bean as an HTTP parameter. You can then set the id property on your managed bean using the managed-property element. Something like:

The setId() method will be called right after the constructor is done and this will be before your showValue method is called.
2. It might be possible to ask the FacesContext what phase it's in or something similar and use this information in your showValue method (although that seems very messy and prone to error)
3. As you suggest, persist the id in session. Though, as you also point out, this has it's drawbacks as well.
In any case, you must devise a way to populate your id value before showValue gets called.

Using a DropDownList in a DataGrid, both with dynamically loaded content

I just bought FlashBuilder 4.5 and even though I have been using ActionScript for years, I am having the hardest time to solve a seemingly simple task:

Created the DataGrid, generated the database service and dragged it to the datagrid to bind the data. Works.
Then I created an itemRenderer for departmentid
In the department itemRenderer I dragged a DropDownList element, created a database service for the departments and dragged it onto that to get the databinding.
So far, so good. When I start it, I have a populated datagrid with a DropDownList that shows all available departments when I click on it.
What I need, of course, is that the Department DropDownList now shows the Department of the Employee row. When I change the Department in the DropDownList, it should update the Employee Database table.
I literally spend now days on trying to figure this out and can't find anything on the Internet that would help me. If you could give me some advise or even show me how the code needs to look, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

External linking with dynamic menus

How should I setup some top level nav items in a dynamic menu if I want them to go to an external page; rather than a Muse page?*

I've also thought about using the BC admin to setup a redirect; and I'll probably go that route untill I hear of an easier/better method.

How to statically link to jvm.dll?

I've created a JNI based application, a C++ program that calls methods in a Java class. This works great so long as jvm.dll exists in the path. I'd like to remove that restriction, and not have any dependency on jvm.dll. How can I build my application such that jvm is statically linked? My environment is VS2010, i tried changing "Code Generation: Runtime Library to Multi-Threaded (/MT)" (instead of DLL) but it was still dependent on the DLL.
Any other ideas?

InContext editing error: This region contains content with dynamic behavior added..

We just set up a web site with InContext editing following the procedures in Business Catalyst documentation to do that. But now when we go to the administration section of the site, and turn on InContext editing, it won't let us update the text. We receive an error message:
"This region contains content with dynamic behavior added..."
Does anyone know what causes this problem, and how to fix it?

InContext Editable (ICE) regions can only contains static areas like text and static assets, it cannot wrap around javascript – populated areas or dynamic content like slideshows. (most likely causing the error)
ICE can edit only static page content such as regular HTML content. It cannot edit any element that is dynamically updated for example a div (or another element) which is manipulated (created or its contents are modified) by JS– populated areas or dynamic content like slideshows. It cannot edit menus, content holders or content outputted by system modules or tags either.
By default, on a page that has no ICE editable regions defined the editor attempts to find any regions you might want to edit and if possible make them editable. If it does not find the correct regions you want to edit you will need to explicitly define some editable regions.

How to fill my collapsible panels with dynamic content from PHP scripts?

Hi people,
I'm trying to generate dynamically generated content in a
Spry collapsible panel. Previously I've generated PHP files that as
an output generates a dynamic table with the data I want to show. I
figured it would be possible to use an php include option to
generate this table in a content section of a Spry collapsible
panel. However, when I do this the collapsible panels appear to
join and when panel1 is clicked all tables close instead of only
panel 1 and all tables are put benath each other without putting it
in each seperate panel. But when i replace the file with only the
text "content" it works fine. Do i maybe have to add some kind of
command at the end of my php file to make it look like the
"content"-text or is this not the problem?
I've been looking for the answer now for a couple of weeks on
various forums and nothing seemed to work for me. Can please
somebody help me out?

Dynamic gallery with 3 columns and 5 rows with paging

guyz, i am new to spry and i need your help. i want to create
a dynamic gallery with data source as xml. i want to create a
gallery with 3 columns and 5 rows.Basically a wallpaper page where
there would be 15 wallpapers in a page with a link of downloading
wallpapers with resolution 800x600,1024x768 and 1280x1024.
for example if there are 63 wallpapers for a section , then
there would be 5 pages with 5th page having only 3 wallpapers.
everytime a wallpaper is added to xml, it automatically adds
it up in html...
plz help....i really want to create this asap and i cant find

Upload/ Download with dynamic contents

Hi Friends,
I have to download a table content to an excel sheet that is dynamically generated on the basis of users' selection. I gone through examples 23 & 39 given in samples section for web dynpro but that works when I know the exact file to be downloaded from WAS but in my case, I have to create a file (as it seems to me) having the dynamically generated content & then I can download it to the client system. Here comes the problem, jxl package is not getting recognised by Web Dynpro (atleast not with the version I am using) and I am not getting any Web Dynpro API that can work in my case.
Please help me out as this problem is obstructing my way in creating a critical development component.

But this approach, though seems to me quite right, has problem. As the context node that holds data I need to download in Excel is not a Deployable object, so the system doesn't returns me the resource path; instead it is giving me

Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects CS5.5 Lagging Horribly with Dynamic Link

I just bought a brand new computer. It is a beast
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel i7-980 6 cores with HT = 12 CPU cores
Nvidia GTX 570HD 1280mb 328 bit
120gb SSD sata 3
600 gb Velociraptor drive 10000rpm
8gb DDR3 1866MHZ ram
So you would think I would get no lag. But for some reason, when I edit in premier pro or after effects, especially when I use dynamic link with premiere and after effects. It lags realllllly badly. I am talking about 5fps and I have to pause and wait like 20 secs then hit play again to get 5 secs of smoothness and then the laggyness returns. I am not even using heavy footage. It is footage off of a Canon 5D Mark II h.264. I tried messing around with all the settings but I cannot get anywhere. Anyone know what the problem might be? I don't have any other programs running since I just installed these. This lag is really holding me back and I cannot edit properly because of it.

Your memory is ill configured, since you are using it in dual channel mode instead of triple channel mode and 8 MB is about bare minimum. You would be better off if you were to increase memory to 24 GB. Secondly, your disk configuration is the absolute minimum requirement, so adding a couple of disks will help performance as well.

Mistake. It is one of the most demanding codecs on the market. Look here: Adobe Forums: System requirements for CS5
You could try the PPBM5 Benchmark to see how well your setup performs.

Using database link with a dynamic SQL in Forms 5

I have a Form 5 application where a database link is specified in a client version of dynamic SQL. The function that the application is designed to perform is to access data in a table in a remote database and use it to populate another table in a local database with the same structure as the source table. Dynamic SQL is used because the name of the table can only be resolved during run time.
The problem is that it gives error with code 'ORA-03113' and text 'End-of-file on communication channel' when you try to run it.
Is it not possible to use a database link with a dynamic SQL? What can I do to overcome the problem ?

Try to create a local view based ao the remote table and use the view.

How to compile Universal binaries in Mac OS X Lion with static linking

Hello Experts,
I have a projects which needs to be ported on Mac. This project uses some third party libraries and link them statically. I am new to Mac world and hence struggling to compile universal binaries with static linking on Mac 10.7.3 system installed with Xcode4.3.2 .
Any help ?

Runtime error in linking with static variables....

Hi,
I am building a shared library which includes a compiled object generated from a class containing the static variables only and also I have another version of same class with same & some new static variables in it and using that to generate another shared library. Now when I tried to run a program
which links with both the library it core dumps when it tries to return from the program i.e when it finishes.
Can someone please help me explain why my program is behaving like that?? Can duplicate inculsion of static variables in different scope can cause problem ?? How can this be avoided ?
Also please be advised that the class with static variables gets generated at the compile time using a script which uses a DTD whose version (specification) can be different in both the libraries therefore I can't just seperate the common stuff into one class and specific into another.

Not to worry...found the answer in another post. Seems like patches need to applied to the OS.
