STATUS BAR AT DIFFRENT POSITIONS

Hi to all,
i have the following problem:
The first call to a form modul shows the status bar/message line at the bottom of the applet window.
After exit_form and calling the same module again status bar/message line is shown at the
bottom of the forms module window.
In Forms 6i Patch 3a everything worked fine. Since Patch 9a and even in Forms
9i i got this behaviour.
In formsweb.cfg i use the following parameters:
usesdi=yes
HTMLbodyAttrs=TOPMARGIN=0 BOTTOMMARGIN=0 LEFTMARGIN=0 RIGHTMARGIN=0
width=1000
height=600
separateFrame=false
This parameters lets the forms applet window full fill the browsers window.
In the first modul the console window is set to null, in the following one's
the console window is set to the forms modul window(width=745 height=388). The
canvas size inside the called modul is width=744 height=387. I tried with other
sizes but still get the same behaviour.
Does someone got the same error or may be a solution ?
Thanks
HJ.Alles

Hello Darryl.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.

  • Status bar prerequisite - will not pass v28 until returned

    So, updated to 29 on both my Win7 & XP machines before I realized the problem:
    Mozilla is heck bent on hiding stuff from me.
    Read another (now closed) discussion of the loss of the status bar. I think this is the first time they pronounced the status bar dead. Tried the view-toolbars-addon and it's not there anymore.
    So, went back to 28 and will stay there until the status bar is returned or it becomes so obsolete that I'll have to return to IE.
    On my Win7Ult machine, it was easy - just the last restore point before I installed 29 and there it was. Doesn't wotk on XP, but luckily there's an FTP site that has copies of every version you can think of. I chose the last eng-us.28 and installed it over 29. I was surprised that the installation didn't notice and balk at it. also surprised it didn't crash and burn, but I'm writing this on that now and all seems OK.
    So, you are asking "where's the question?"
    It's this: the status bar is the darling of an overwhelming majority of Windows programs. I think this is like the third time they stole my status bar. Stealing the status bar is proof positive that Mozilla hates its users - by moving everything that used to be on the status bar to varied and sundry places, they have effectively chosen to hide things from their users and I find this inexcusably beyond the pale. For instance, they say it moved "add ons" to it's own 'addon' toolbar, which is NOT on by default. You see, they hid it. MY QUESTION IS - HOW TO GET MOZILLA TO STOP DOING THIS REPREHENSIBLE THING and return my browser to the way I like it. As I said in the subject "status bar is a requirement for my continued support". don't write back that I have to accept it or lump it. I'm on 'strike28' until the status bar is returned. If it is not, then I'll be going WHERE EVERY OTHER BROWSER VALUES THE STATUS BAR LIKE I DO". As a side note, several months ago Thunderbird did a really odd security update that destroyed my ability to send Email. I'm now a happy web mail user and nobody is trying to destroy my ability to use their product. If they had a mandate of 'intuitive changes', it would be different, but hiding things you are used to seeing in a place the WHOLE INDUSTRY is in agreement, this is the death knell to my interest, if not the product itself. If a large enough uproar cannot be generated, then it's probably not my kind of product anyway.CIAO.pcGnome

    So, for those interested, I'm still using v28 and things are working well still. But in all this time, a couple of simple, yet salient points have arisen (arose?) in my head. 1) Mozilla keeps trying to get rid of the status bar and folks of my ilk get all agitated and it dawns on me - have they ever said WHY they want to get rid of the status bar? Do they not like me having a tall enough area at the bottom to click on to bring the window to the front? Do they object to me knowing the status of what's going on?.............The upshot of this and the failure to get FlashPlayer right is that I'm using a browser less and less these days. I use it for web mail, ebay & nzbclub and the occasional google search. But search engines don't seem to work at all well anymore, so I'm gonna quit that soon. Try a google search for a phrase and then open a result and I give it about a 68% chance the phrase isn't even on the page, not even if you go back and find the well hidden 'cache' option (pronounced "cash"!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,My second point is probably going to sound laughable, but think a bit and it IS quite serious. Namely, when is firefox going to be finished? I mean, more than a decade ago they finished Media Player Classic and you cannot believe how wonderful it is that something just works! The problem with this "forever development" (aside from doing idiot things like 'let us get rid of the status bar') is that things are seriously backsliding. Used to be a product would be in beta and then a few tweaks and then it was finished. Yes, there were later versions (I have NO interest in MPC home theater - ruins the good stuff and gives me nothing). It's like "since we'll never finish this project, we can slide all the way back to pre-beta (alpha?) and have everyone disturbed by what are they going to change next, just to keep some jobs. Ruin the experience and ruin the reputation and then I see no reason to come to your sandbox anymore. Someday I'll have to relate the arrogance of Forte` Agent that screwed them the pooch (it's not OUR problem, it's an issue in all microsoft operating systems!). Anyway, I see the question asked "when are they going to put back the status bar" and there is only this pseudo answer of "they won't because there's an add-on". How about "when will they stop defeating the add-on that defeats their attempt to get rid of the status bar. I mentioned that with the v29 debacle, sure enough there was a new add-on to take care of that. So, how many add-ons does it take to get them to JUST LET ME HAVE THE DAMM STATUS BAR, OK? pcG

  • Set Status Bar position

    Hi!
    I'm currently developping an application which requires a status bar. I integrated it using a .NET container on my front panel. I would like to programmaticaly set its position on the front panel but I must admit that i'm lost seeing all options offered by the property nodes.
    Can someone help me to choose which option to use ?
    Thanks !

    Zyl,
    you mustn't get mixed up by the number of properties in this issue
    Well here is why:
    - The .NET assembly gives you a whole bunch of methods and properties which are used to interact with the assembly. These are not used for positioning the container
    - Each element in LV has its own properties, too, which can be handled by VI Server. All FP elements have generic properties, such as position. THIS is what you like to change.
    hope this helps,

    }Now I just have to figure out how to add a panel for line number to sit adjacent to my text area without throwing the whole window out of proportion. I tried adding some context menu buttons to sit next to it, and for some reason they seemed to want to grow by 500x the size specified and destroyed the whole look of the app. :s maybe I will just make do with status bar line numbers.

  • How can I create a status bar at the bottom of a window ?

    I would like to create a status bar at the bottom of my main window similiar to "Internet explorer" has. I thought of using a tool bar but I can't see how to keep it positioned at the bottom of the window when the window is resizable. Any other ideas on how to do this the bar only needs to contain a small amout of text and maybe an icon or two.

    CVI doesn't have a status bar control on UI element like the one available in Visual Studio++. The best way to replicate this is most like through a string control that is resized and positioned to remain at the bottom of the window and colored to look appropriately. I have also seen the combination of a decoration and a text message used.

  • How can I implement a status bar at the bottom of a resizable application?

    Hello all,
    I am a JavaFx newbie and I am implementing an application (a Sokoban game), with a menu at the top of the frame and a gaming area covering the rest of the frame. To support the game, I have to load images at certain positions in the gaming area.
    The game also includes a level editor with another menubar and where images are set to other positions.
    I implemented this in another view, swiching from the game mode to the level editor mode and vice versa is just done by setting the other view visible. Up to now this works, here the important statements building these details:
    Group root = new Group();
    gameView = new Group(); // for gaming mode
    le_view = new Group()   // for level editor mode
    MenuBar gameMenubar = new MenuBar();
    Menu menuGame = new Menu(bundle.getString("MenuGame"));
    ... building the menu items and menues ...
    gameView.getChildren().add(gameMenubar);
    ImageView buildingView[][] = new ImageView[22][22];
    for (nCol = 0; nCol < 22; nCol++) {
        for (nRow = 0; nRow < 22; nRow++) {
            buildingView[nCol][nRow] = new ImageView();
            buildingView[nCol][nRow].setX(nCol * 26 + 5);
            buildingView[nCol][nRow].setY(nRow * 26 + 40);
            gameView.getChildren().add(buildingView[nCol][nRow]);
    gameView.setVisible(true);
    root.getChildren().add(gameView);
    ... same stuff to build the le_view ...
    le_View.setVisible(false);
    root.getChildren().add(le_View);
    Scene scene = new Scene(root, 800, 600, Color.CORNSILK); Now I want to introduce a status bar at the bottom of the frame, which of course has to follow the bottom of the frame, if it is resized. And of course the menu and the status bar should not grow vertically, if the height of the frame is increased.
    The implementation seems to be easy with StackPane for the frame and one BorderPane for each mode.
    For the first step I only tried implementing the game mode with only one BorderPane (just setting the menu, the gaming area and the status bar each into a HBox and setting these three HBoxes at the top, into the center and at the bottom). I also tried this via GridPane and via VBox; I always get any erroneous behaviour:
    Either the menubar is visible, but the menus do not pop up the menu items, or the anchor point of the menu and of gaming area are set 100 pixels left of the left frame border and move into the frame when the frame width is increased, or the menu is set 20 pixels below the top of the frame, or HBox with the menu grows when the frame height is increased, so that the anchor point of the gaming area moves down.
    Can you describe me a correct construction of such a frame? Thanks in advance.
    Best regards
    Gerhard

    Hello Gerhard,
    Glad the code helped, thanks for a fun layout exercise.
    For the draft code I just pulled an icon off the internet over a http connection.
    If you haven't done so already place any icons and graphics you need local to your project, so that resource lookups like:
    Image img = new Image("http://www.julepstudios.com/images/close-icon.png");become
    Image img = new Image("close-icon.png");then performance may improve.
    Another possible reason for your performance problem could be that when you use a vbox, the vbox content can overflow the area of the borderpane center and might be sitting on top of the menu pane, making you unable to click the menu (which is what happens to me when I try that with the draft program with the vbox wrapping mod, then resize the scene to make it smaller). This was a trick which caught me and the reason that I used a Group originally rather than a vbox. I found a vbox still works but you need to tweak things a bit. The trick I saw was that the order in which you add stuff to the borderpane is important. The borderpane acts like a stack where the last thing added floats over the top of everything else if you size the scene small enough. For your project you want the menu on top always, so it always needs to be the last thing added to the borderpane, but when you swap in the level pane for the game pane, then back out again, the game pane can end up on top of the menu which makes the menu seem like you can't click it (only when the scene is sized small enough). It was quite a subtle bug which took me a little while to work out what was happening. For me the solution was to add just one vbox to the center of the border, and then swap the game pane and the level editor in and out of the vbox, that way the center of the layout always stayed behind the menu bar and the status bar.
    I added some revisions to reflect the comments above and placed some comments in the code to note what was changed and why.
    public class SampleGameLayoutRevised extends Application {
      public static void main(String[] args) { Application.launch(args); }
      public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception {
        final BorderPane gameLayout = new BorderPane();
        final Group gameView = new Group();
        final MenuBar gameMenubar = new MenuBar();
        final Menu gameMenu = new Menu("Mode");
        final VBox centerView = new VBox();
        centerView.setStyle("-fx-background-color: darkgreen");  // we set a background color on the center view to check if it overwrites the game menu.
        MenuItem playGameMenu = new MenuItem("Play Game");
        MenuItem levelEditMenu = new MenuItem("Edit Levels");
        gameMenu.getItems().add(playGameMenu);
        gameMenu.getItems().add(levelEditMenu);
        gameMenubar.getMenus().add(gameMenu);
        final StackPane levelEditView = new StackPane();
        levelEditView.getChildren().add(new Text("Level Editor"));
        ImageView buildingView[][] = new ImageView[22][22];
        Image img = new Image("http://www.julepstudios.com/images/close-icon.png");  // use of http here is just for example, instead use an image resource from your project files.
        for (int nCol = 0; nCol < 22; nCol++) {
          for (int nRow = 0; nRow < 22; nRow++) {
            ImageView imgView = new ImageView(img);
            imgView.setScaleX(0.5);
            imgView.setScaleY(0.5);
            buildingView[nCol][nRow] = imgView;
            buildingView[nCol][nRow].setX(nCol * 20 + 5);
            buildingView[nCol][nRow].setY(nRow * 20 + 40);
            gameView.getChildren().add(buildingView[nCol][nRow]);
        final VBox statusBar = new VBox();
        final Text statusText = new Text("Playing Game");
        statusBar.getChildren().add(statusText);
        statusBar.setStyle("-fx-background-color: cornsilk"); // we set a background color on the status bar,
                                                              // because we can't rely on the scene background color
                                                              // because, if the scene is sized small, the status bar will start to overlay the game view
                                                              // and if we don't explicitly set the statusBar background the center view will start
                                                              // to bleed through the transparent background of the statusBar.
        gameLayout.setCenter(centerView); // we add the centerview first and we never change it, instead we put it's changeable contents in a vbox and change out the vbox content.
        gameLayout.setBottom(statusBar);
        gameLayout.setTop(gameMenubar);   // note the game layout is the last thing added to the borderpane so it will always stay on top if the border pane is resized.
        playGameMenu.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
          public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
            centerView.getChildren().clear();  // here we perform a centerview vbox content swap.
            centerView.getChildren().add(gameView);
            statusText.setText("Playing Game");
        levelEditMenu.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
          public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
            centerView.getChildren().clear();  // here we perform a centerview vbox content swap.
            centerView.getChildren().add(levelEditView);
            statusText.setText("Editing Level");
        playGameMenu.fire();
        Scene scene = new Scene(gameLayout, 800, 600, Color.CORNSILK);
        stage.setScene(scene);
        stage.show();
    }Other than that I am not sure of a reason for the slowdown you are seeing. In my experience JavaFX has been quick and responsive for the tasks I have been using it for. Admittedly, I just use if for a bunch of small trial projects, but I've never seen it unresponsive for a minute.

  • DROID RAZR issues with status bar - Winamp

    When i pull the status bar all the way down it is really hard to get it to stay locked.  It just keeps flying back up to its normal position.  Winamp is also borked

    If your Having Issue Linking too Winamp an other Stuff with it you might Give this A Look an see if can Help Ya:
    You need to install both the Winamp for Android and the latest Winamp Media Player for your PC.
    Step 1::
    On your Android device, download Winamp for Android.
    Step 2:
    When you initially launch the application you'll see a "Winamp Help" screen. Click on the "Wi-Fi Sync" button and following the onscreen instructions. If you don't see the Winamp Help screen, simply launch Winamp and from the Home screen press the Menu button (hard button), go to "Settings" and "Enable wireless sync".
    Step 3:
    Make sure your PC and Android phone are on the same Wi-Fi network.
    Step 4:
    From your PC, download & install Winamp Standard (free) or Winamp Pro (premium). Version 5.6 or later is required. Please note that Wi-Fi sync with Winamp for Android will not work with "Winamp Lite". After launching Winamp you will be prompted to "Add Media to Library" or "Import from iTunes".
    Step 5:
    From the Media Library tab, select "Devices" in the navigation panel (left-hand side of screen).
    Step 6:
    Your Android device should now be visible in the "Discovered" area of the "Devices" view. If not, click the "Discover" button. You'll also want to be sure that your device is not in sleep mode.
    The "Discovered" view only indicates available devices. To sync with your device, you will first have to attach it.
    Step 7:
    To attach a device, double click on your device icon (or single click on the attach overlay button). This will send a pairing notification to your device.
    Step 8:
    After clicking "Attach", a notification will be sent from the Winamp Media Player to your Android device asking you if you would like to allow Wi-Fi pairing. Click allow.
    Step 9:
    Once you have selected "Allow", you should now see your device in the "Attached" area of the "Devices" view. Additionally, you will see your device name appear under the "Devices" node in navigation panel.
    (Note: You only have to pair your phone once. After initial pairing, your device should automatically appear in the attached state. You may be prompted to pair again after upgrading to a newer version of Winamp for Android).
    At this point your Wi-Fi set-up is complete and you are ready for wireless syncing.
    Step 10:
    Once your device is "Attached", mouse over the device icon and click on the "Sync" overlay button. Alternatively, you can manually drag and drop files in your "Audio" library to your device (pictured below).
    You also have the option of setting up your Preferences by right-clicking on your device or by going to Options >> Preferences >> Portables >> [Device Name]. Learn more about sync preferences and settings.

  • Weird message below status bar - icons move down and almost touch dock

    Ever since installing 3.0 on my 3g iphone I've had a weird problem. Roughly around an hour or so after the phone is on, the icons on the page move down (about an 1/8 of an inch) and the words "Revisar ADN" appear below the status bar. A little bit later the message will go away but the icons will remain shifted down. The only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and back on again, but again, roughly an hour later it happens again.
    I have restored several times but to no avail.
    Some more info about the situation: I purchased and activated the phone in Guatemala (where I live) and my carrier is Claro. The words "revisar ADN" mean "check DNA" in english. The phone is not jailbroken or anything like that. Even though the carrier is Claro, the international settings are in English with the exception of the spanish language added to the keyboard. I've had the phone for about 6 months and on 2.2.1 never got this message.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks so much for the information and the investigation on this (I saw you posting in other forums as well). Through some trial and error I think things are working finally. Here is the story for anyone else that might suffer from the same problem.
    I originally tried the SIM trick and took the SIM out, put it into another phone, added a contact, and then put the SIM back in. This unfortunately did not work. A few hours later the icons had moved again. I then noticed that the contact that I had added to the SIM was not in my iphone address book, so I imported the contacts from the SIM (Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars>Import Sim Contact), hoping that this would fix the problem. That didn't work either. I turned the phone off and on again, and that didn't work either.
    Then I began to look into the "Claro Contactos" issue, and went looking for the SIM Applications (Settings>Phone). Now, I am almost positive that when I looked here earlier that day the SIM Applications button was not there. Maybe it was, but I'm thinking that by putting the chip into another phone and then putting it back into the iphone, this "unlocked" this feature. Or maybe it was the simple act of taking it out and putting it back in. Either way it was there now. I had never heard (or turned on) Claro Contactos so I went hunting for where to turn it off. After finding it "Utilidades Claro" it popped up a message asking if I wanted to turn it on. Obviously I had not used the feature before so I couldn't turn it off like the previous post had suggested. So I did the opposite and turned it on. I then touched the button "Respaldo Contactos" to back up that one contact to this service and then touched the button "Respaldo Automatico" and told it NOT to back up automatically. After doing all of this, I turned the phone off and on again, and now everything has been fine. It's been a full day and my icons are right where they should be.
    I mention the process because I'm not totally convinced that just by turning the Claro Contactos on was the issue. I think the whole process is the solution. Maybe someone else that has the same issue can try the process, but backwards and see if just switching the Claro Contactos on (or off) solves the problem.
    Thanks for the help and I hope this helps whoever else might have the same problem.

  • Where is the Status Bar in FF 7.0.1?

    I have just updated to FF 7.0.1 from FF 3.6.16. I am unable to find the status bar in the new version, to know the progress of my web page downloads. How do I get the FF 3.6.16 Status Bar like function in this new version?

    The Status Bar was removed in an earlier version of Firefox and replaced with the Add-on Bar.

    You can regain some Status Bar functions by installing the Status-4-Evar extension.
    *Install the '''''Status-4-Evar''''' extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/
    *After install,
    *#Be sure the Add-on Bar is displayed; Options > Add-on Bar (or View > Toolbars > Add-on Bar), click to check "Add-on Bar"
    *#In View > Toolbars > Customize drag any or all of the 3 items to the position you want them on the Add-on Bar:
    *#*Status text (this is the URL information you want)
    *#*Download status (will display No Downloads or number of downloads in progress)
    *#*Progress meter (meter of page loading)
    *#Set the options for Status-4-Evar in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

  • NEED HELP ON HOW TO TURN STATUS BAR OF A JSF PAGE OFF

    I need a pop-up within my application where a staff can select his HOD(An hyperlink named HODNAME with text SELECT ) and on click it shows a pop up of a page (allstafflist.jsp) which has table and contains all staff. It has Select link which return name of the HOD to the parent page. My problem is that if I set the url of HODNAME (allstafflist.jsp) and set target to (new window), it shows the page as a pop up and if I select anything it returns what I want but I dont WANT IT TO HAVE /SEE STATUS BAR.
    So I thought of writing a javascript and call the function below on click i.e
    ui:hyperlink binding="#{page1now.hodname}" id="hodname"
    style="color: blue; left: 480px; top: 1128px; position: absolute; width: 94px" onClick=searchpage() text=" SELECT STAFF" >
    <script >
    function searchpage() {
    window.open( "http://wghjhc-1016:8000/appraisal/faces/allstafflist.jsp" , "sfafflist" , "status = 1, height=900,width=900 , resizable = 0" )
    </script>
    but my problem is that it shows the pop up with no status bar but it display it at the back of the parent page, so if I dont minimize the parent page I wont see it.
    So my problem is
    1.     how can I make javascript run first on a page so as to disable the status bar.(i.e if it run first on allstafflist and disable its status bar) or
    2.     how can I make the pop up from the javasript above not to be disappearing(i.e to appear as pop up and not to appear at the back of the current page)or
    3.     how can I set the property or the url to be displayed not to have status bar(i.e if I set the property of hodname i.e url = "/faces/allstafflist.jsp", target="_blank")

  • Displaying a status bar through swings

    Hi everybody,
    My problem is that i want to display a status bar, using Java Swings. In this regard i am facing somwe difficulty, and i would be really thankful to those, who in some way can help me.
    thanks

    Create a Static JLabel in the main application constructor and add it to the South position of your main window.
    Now set the text dynamically whereever u want to show a status message to this static label.
    I hope this can solve your problem

  • Should a Status Bar be in the Root Pane or Content Pane?

    Hello, I wonder if you can help...
    Should a status bar be built into a JFrame (much like a JMenuBar, by extending JFrame and JRootPane along with its layout manager)?
    I have created a status bar using the method above, but it seems to be more complex than it need be; so I am wondering whether to simply add it to a JFrames content pane.
    Advantages of extending JRootPane and building the status bar as part of a frame:
    1. It allows the frames content panes south region to remain unoccupied, and thus will not conflict with a JToolPanes positioning.
    Advantages of adding the status bar to the content pane south region:
    1. Keeps the design nice and simple, so no knowledge of the root pane need be known;
    2. We can use composition (rather that inheritance) to define the frame and its parts.
    All comments are welcome.

    Hi,
    ( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
    So the menu bar reads iChat, File,  Edit,  View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
    There is no Buddy List open.
    There is no other window for iChat open.
    In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
    Is an item ticked in the list ?
    Is this a green (Available item) or  Red ( an Away one) ?
    Can you access the Accounts option ?  (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
    Is anything in here ticked ?
    In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list  (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
    It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
    If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
    As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option  (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
    Type in:-
    ~/Library/Preferences
    Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
    Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
    This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

  • [iPhone] Place a custom view below the status bar and above the navbar

    Hello,
    How can I add a custom view between the status bar and the UINavigationBar?
    The Myspace App does this so I know it can be done. It has a custom bar between the status bar and the navigation bar which displays the myspace logo and a logout link. I would like to do something similar w/ my app.
    Thank you

    You can move the tabs to the lower position just above the browsing area without using an extension with code in userChrome.css as basically you only need to give the Tab bar a higher -moz-box-ordinal-group value (most toolbars have a default -moz-box-ordinal-group:1 to show them in DOM order).
    *[[/questions/997353]] How can I put the Tabs back below the navigation bar?
    You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.
    *Classic Theme Restorer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
    *You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
    *You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)

  • The status bar is blocking my content, is there a way to disable it via Javascript and the likes?

    I'm working on a site that requires a bottom footer in a fixed position, with a control button on the left hand side, my problem is, that the `new` status bar area covers this section for quite some time whilst it's requesting data, or waiting for the server, is there a way to disable it via JavaScript or some sort? It seems kind of silly for a status bar to cover your content (no offence), the old way was much nicer, sure it used more screen space, but atleast it didn't assume things. I just couldn't find a solution anywhere else, other than to move the button. :)

    You can use this extension to hide the pop-up that shows the URL of a link on hover and other data that previously appeared on the Status bar.

  • GPS-status-bar disappeared from Nokia maps

    Why isn't the little gps-status-bar shown anymore in my Nokia maps (3.04)?
    Positions methode is set to 'integrated gps' only...
    Any thoughts?

    It took a bit of getting used to at first but I am used to it now. That's the way it is with any change. Some people get used to and comfortable with things the way they are. Any change at all is uncomfortable but it will just be a matter of time before you get used to it and don't think any more of it.
