Step by step on how to use Reconstruct?

Could anyone give the details (step by step) on how to use the Reconstruct tab in manage of an ODS? For example if there is one error record in PSA which make one data request red in manage of an ODS, then what is the procedure to correct the error and reload the data in Reconstruct?

Actually you two are using different methods to reload data from PSA to target.
Let's summarize:
Step 1: delete the red request from Manage of the ODS;
Step 2: edit PSA to fix the error record, save.
Then the difference between you two starts from here:
Step 3 (Vishwa): use Reconstruct to reload data from PSA to target
Step 3:(Edwin): just right click the fixed PSA and reload data from the right click contax menu.
We think both of you are correct and we knew these steps already, just want to make sure these two alternatives are both efficient and correct.

How to use Enterprise Services available in workplace

Hello Friends,
We have found some Enterprise Services to use for our existed business scenarios in ES Workplace.
My requirement here is: There are some interfaces which are running through websphere from source to destination. Now, we wanted to migrate those interfaces using PI 7.1, for which Can I use SAP provided Enterprise Services in ES Workplace? If so, how can I use those? What is the approach? Is there any process for this?

Hello PM,
It depends on the exact scenario and best fit of usage of ESs. The ESs listed out in the ES workplace are the different functionalities and specific to business scnearios.
So in your case, it is not a good idea to directly use the services available from ES workplace. You need to understand/analyse the exact functionalities etc
wrt your query on how to use ES from ESworkplace: All ESs are coming as EhPs.. so you need to import those EhPs in your SAP backend, and publish the services into ES Registry.. then you can consume without PI.
You can use PI, to have new developments or extending the existing ES using outside in approach. Otherwise PI is not required to execute the ES.

How to use Logging?

I am trying to get QoS and other information from OSMFPlayer. I have logging set to true in the project properties.
I import org.osmf.logging.*, and add the code...
CONFIG::LOGGING { logger.fatal("LOG THIS INFO"); }
CONFIG::LOGGING { private static const logger:org.osmf.logging.Logger = org.osmf.logging.Log.getLogger("OSMFPlayer"); }
(I am using logger.fatal because I assumed it would be the best to get only the information i want.)
It appears that thsi is all I need to create a log, however, I cannot find a log anywhere. Is this all that is needed to create a log. And where should the log appear? The documentation is pretty sparse on this topic.
My setup is a Linux server with my media and OSMFPlayer streaming to a Windows client using Firefox.

1) There is no document on VideoQoSPlugin as far as I know. The brief steps of how to use it is
1. Add QoS variables to the Plugin as you want to see.
1.1 Add QoS metadata to VideoQoSPluginMetadata.as as public var.
   eg) public static const VIDEOBUFFERLENGTH:String = "videoBufferLength";
1.2 Add value to your metadata in VideoOsOProxyElement.as,
      Note that onTimer function has NetStreamInfo "qos".
    eg)       metadata.addValue
                    ( VideoQoSPluginMetadata.VIDEOBUFFERLENGTH
                    , qos.videoBufferLength.toString()
2. Load the Plugin into your player : See other plugin samples.
      mediaFactory.loadPlugin(pluginResource);
3. Get the QoS data in your player .(eg) org.osmf.qos.VideoQoSPluginMetadata.CURRENT_FPS
     It is up to you how to use / display QoS data.
2) As you said StrobeMediaPlayback has already built for many QoS parameters so I might be just easier to use that. I saw your post to SMP so you are on the right track as Andrian is the person you want to talk regards to SMP.
3) Air APP is an application platform as oppposed to an web application such as a HTML based app. You can download it from here.
http://get.adobe.com/air/ and install the debug console or run it from your flex builder.   The readme file has an instructions to the debug console.
Basically, you launch the debug console first, then run OSMF player and play a video. (Turn on the Logging option on : -define CONFIG::DEBUG true -define CONFIG::FLASH_10_1 true),    The debug message will be displayed on the debug console as the video plays.

Help wanted - step by step process on how to use two ipods on one computer

I'm just in the process of getting an ipod (waiting on delivery!) and want to know how it is possible to have two ipods using the same computer but synchronizing differently. I don't want to risk losing my partners music (he'll be very upset!) and I don't want to end up with his music on my ipod. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me a step by step guide or tell me where the best place to look for the answer is. Is it possible somehow to have two different libraries on one computer? Is that how it works?

There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Have a look at the article linked below. Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two as Chris has already described above is to set your preferences so each iPod is updated with only certain playlists within one library. How to use the place call step in the script

I am new to uccx and the document does not explain alot for me related to this step so much.
In the destination field : i use a variable of string that matched before.
The call contol group id : i use the integer of 2 ,the same as configured in the call control group number on UCCXadmin page.
Dialog group: the same as call control group id.
Here is my problem,the call contact field.
If i create a variable of contact with value null and choose it in the contact field of the place a call.
Call is not placed to the extension.
Also with reactive debug : i see that this field should get filled with a value to make the call works,but i don't know how to use it.

What are the steps involved in using the step LOOP(Until).

Hmmm... using it is just like using a LOOP UNTIL statement in any programming language. You get at least one loop iteration, as opposed to a WHILE loop which may give you zero iterations.
You simply insert a node of this type in the workflow, and magically there will be a loop inside which you can insert the steps you want to execute in the loop, and by double-clicking at the end node of the loop you can enter the condition for exiting.
What exactly is it you are having trouble understanding about the use of it?

How to use the Validate step for Approve step

Hi Experts,
I have modeled a workflow with the steps start,process, validate, approve, process and stop.
Process is set to owner and approve is set to some other user user1.
My requirement is as follows :
1) Approve the records by approver and then it should send it to the next step for further processing
1.1) if the approver did not approve the record it should send a error message until the record is approved. So it should not send it to the next step when record is not approved
I am using a field called item status for approving and disapproving the records. My validation is based on this field only... Validation working fine when i tested it manually.
But my issue is when am using this validate step in workflow design validation is getting triggered for all the users.as per my requirement only approver should get the error message.But in my scenario owner is getting the error message and approver is not getting any message.
How can i use the validate step only for particular step say approve in workflow.
Can anyone please help me out how should use validate step only for approve step...

Hi ,
I have set the validation property to "None".
My design is as follows :
start->process->validate->approve->stop.
Owner is assigned to process step and approver is assigned to approve step.
Now my problem is owner is also getting this error message along with the approver. AS per the design both process, approve users are getting the error message.
As per my requirement only approver should get this prompt but not the owner.
How can i restrict only for specifc user to get this message.
Can anybody please advice how can restrict the owner to not get this error message...

its used say you trigger your workflow in system A and want to trigger workflow in system B using the WF in system A, you could do that using WebActivity Step in system A workflow (though I havent used it).

How to use customized rule in step mail workflow

Dear All:
I have created a customized rule,which is working fine when I simulate it, it is fetching SAP user from a ztable which I created.
My requirement is how to use the rule in my workflow which have one "send mail" step. As in "send mail" under Receipt Type I cant find rule option.
Kindly help me.

1.Create a method GET_ACTORS using RH_GET_ACTORS,
2.Create a container element 'Actors' type string with multiline.
3.Create Task, where you can call the Method GET_ACTORS and pass the Container values of 'Actors' from Method->Task->Workflow
4.Create a Step type before creating the Step mail and include the previous Task.
5.Now you can create the step Mail. Give the Recipient Type as 'Expression'-> Select the Container Element 'Actors' from WF container
But remember the values should be Passed from the task to Workflow in Binding correctly.
