Hi ...
Application (key for the Sales and Distribution application), Account determination type, Chart of accounts (from the FI System), Customer account assignment group, Materials account assignment group, Account key
The allocated accounts are used to post revenues, surcharges and discounts automatically.
You have defined the access sequences and the account determination types for Sales and Distribution.
You must define charts of accounts and G/L accounts in the FI System.
Activities
1. Check to what extent you can use the allocations contained in the
SAP standard version.
2. Allocate the G/L accounts for each access sequence.
Path
IMG (Implementation Guide) --> Financial Accounting -->General Ledger Accounting --> Business Transaction -->Integration --> Sales & Distribution --> Prepare Revenue Account Determination.
Transaction Code VKOA
1. Customer Account Assignment Groups:
Domestic Customers, Foreign Customers and Affiliated Companies. I think they are finalized.
2. Material Account Assignment Groups :
3. Trading Goods and performances.
They are not exhaustive and they need revision.
Finished Goods & Semi Finished Goods are covered under Trading Goods. Performances are said to be Nil. Shall we have Material Groups as Trading, Finished, Packaging and Services.
3 Condition Types : KOFI & KOFK ( Account Assignment for CO)
4 Account Keys
ERL Sales
RDM Rounding
ERS Sales Deductions
ERF Freight Collected Domestic & Foreign
EIN Transit Insurance Collected

  • Issue in converting Struts view to JSF view using struts-faces integration

    Hi All,
    I am facing a issue in my Sruts to JSF conversion application using struts-faces.jar integration library.
    Need expert's help desperately as I am not able to use <s:form> tag in my new jsf page to call a struts action.
    I want to call a struts action from my web page designed using JSF,
    but it seems impossible without using <s:form> tag from struts-faces integration library.
    Please suggest how to resolve this...
    I am using WSAD 5.1 IDE with inbuilt Test environment WebSphere server
    JSF Version: Sun's RI 1.1
    Struts framework: 1.2.6
    Struts-Faces Integration Library version: 1.0
    I have configured a controller element in struts-config.xml file as has been suggested by different online
    documents I studied:
    <controller>
    <set-property property="processorClass"
    value="org.apache.struts.faces.application.FacesRequestProcessor"/>
    </controller>
    But configuring a controller does not allow my test server to start up properly and due to errors the ActionServlet also becomes unavailable.
    If I comment the controller and start the test server it starts fine but then I cannot access the converted jsf page which contains the <s:form action="/xxxxx.do"> tag.
    If now I get back to <h:form> tag instead of <s:form> tag with a <h:commandButton action="xxxx.do"/> for form submission in my jsf page, I see the html page generated with all components but now checking the html source generated I see
    <form action="/contextName/jspFolder/sameDisplayedPage.jsf"> which is not valid and never gets called successfully.
    I think someways I need to use the <s:form> tag with the controller configured properly to use the struts-faces integration library's request processor, to get things working. But HOW???
    Following is the error I get if I use the <controller> tag element in struts-config.xml file and start the server.
    This error appears on starting the server without accessing any application's jsp web page

    <h:form>
    <h:commandButton id="submit" action="xxxx.do" value="Submit" />
    I see the webpage coming up in the browser (no controller element used in struts-config.xml file this time)
    But in the html source of this html created from jsf I see
    <form id="_id2" method="post" action="/training2/jsp/welcomeF.faces" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded">
    here form's action attribute is pointing to the same displayed page with the context name prefixed. I

    May be I am wrong as usual...
    Below is the simple struts jsp page which I need to convert to jsf page as I am converting only the View part of application.
    I want to use the same struts beans and application logic at the back-end. At front-end I need UIComponents from JSF to be used.

    I've managed to get this working Ok from JDeveloper:
    See:
    http://www.groundside.com/blog/content/DuncanMills/J2EE+Development/?permalink=573FDB6F8D918B9704907899635CABB1.txt
    http://www.groundside.com/blog/content/DuncanMills/J2EE+Development/?permalink=2B04ACE99A6437EDED775F15553D1DED.txt
    Basically you just have to fiddle around with Library settings to get this working OK.
    As to how useful this is, well that's up to you - I'd not regard Faces + Struts as a must use combination, rather it's a can mix if you really need to. Look at Faces and Faces navigation first and see if that actually gives you enough before you start to look at mixing.

  • How to integrate Struts & JSF ?

    Hi all,
    How to build an application using Struts 'framework' and JSF ? (Example please)

    A good place to start is the Struts-Faces integration library:
    http://cvs.apache.org/builds/jakarta-struts/nightly/struts-faces/
    It supports the use of JSF components in a Struts-based application. If you already have a Struts application then this library would be useful.

    But the files seem to be empty. Is anyone else having the same problem?
    Does anyone have the latest build available?
    Thanks.
    rgds,
    Q.

    Thanks for replyinh. The URL you provided has the same files....but they are empty. It seems something is wring with the scripts that do the nightly packaging?
    Have you actually tried to download the struts-faces and unpacked it ok...recently?

  • Life before struts, jsf

    Hello,
    I wanted to start studying struts but before actually diving into it, I also wanted to know how life was before struts, jsf etc.
    What I learnt:
    1. The registration form is a simple html form with its action as "register.html"
    2. The controller servlet creates a hashmap of all actions as keys and handlers as values. register.html has a corrosponding RegistrationHandler
    3. RegistrationHandler provides with the view.
    4. The view is a jsp page with a useBean that populates the bean. The bean class has a method that stores the data into database which is called from the view.
    So,
    View is the jsp page
    Controller is the Servlet
    Model is the bean
    I just wanted to know whether I am right with MVC or not. If right, where does struts, jsf fit in and where do they provide the flexibility.
    regards,
    vijay.

    The way to go forward is to use JSF both for the view and the controller layer.
    Mixing the two usually doesn't produce good results.
    The JSF controller layer is more advanced than the old Struts framework and is the standard in JEE 5.0 - so you should definetly start looking into developing new applications with this framework.

  • Struts and JSF Integration in OPDk-java based portlet

    Hi,
    thanks in advance for your help.
    I'm developing a PDK java based portlet. For some reasons I cannot use the JSF bridge but I would like to integrate Struts and Jsf in my portlet, using Struts to manage actions and navigation and JSF (with ADF Faces components) for the view. I'm using the Strus-Faces library.
    When I try to submit my portlet form, I receive the error "request URL not found on this server". I'm posting some exstracts of my code.
    It's made of three pages: the main one "Integration1ShowPage", "error" and "result". The MainAction.java displays my mainPage, where there's a form. To keep it easy, when the user submits this form, the ActionName returns "success" and the "result" page should be displayed.
    The MainAction works properly: the portlet is displayed but when I tried to submit the form I receive
    The requested URL /provaDeploy/htdocs/integration1/integration1ShowPage.do was not found on this server.Could you please suggest me something?
    Many many thanks,
    B.
    <struts-config>
    <action-mappings>
      <action path = "/mainAction" type = "strutsjsfintegration1.MainAction">
        <forward name = "success" path = "/faces/htdocs/integration1/integration1ShowPage.faces"/>
      </action>
      <action path = "/nameAction" name = "nameForm"

    Hi,
    have a look at this whitepaper for how to use JavaScript in ADF.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/1-2011-javascript-302460.pdf
    This link here (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/index-101235.html --> see sample 71) shows an integration sample between a Java Applet and ADF. Its a similar use case to yours

  • Tiles 2 and JSF integration in tomcat 5.5.25

    hi all,
    "Tiles 2" is a new project extracted from Struts and is now integrated with various frameworks...
    I'm wondering if anyone here succeed to run Tiles 2 with JSF on tomcat 5.5.25.
    I'd downloaded a test from maven: (The test application is not working in my environment... i'll be happy to hear about any success from one of you...
    http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/tiles/tiles-test/2.0.5/
    File name: tiles-test-2.0.5.war
    This test application should work on java 5.0.
    I will be glad to here some advice,
    thanks

    Are you sure that a new session is being created in step 6? Tomcat can be configured to persist sessions between restarts. Maybe check getCreationTime() on the session?

  • Struts portlet integration

    Hi,
    sorry I'm new to weblogic but had used different app servers before. I have to do such a project until next week where you need to put the coffee machine directly beside your computer. ;-o
    I already had implement my entity beans and session beans in a xdoclet / maven environment.
    Now I need to do the view tier and integrate it in a existing porlat as portlet.
    Here my questions:
    Should I do my UI via Struts since I'm familar with struts and it would be staight forward. Should I as last step import the final struts & ejb application as portlet to workshop? What and how much work is to do to make a strus application to a portlet?
    Or may alternativly should i realize my UI directly in workshop and do this jpf stuff?
    As you can see I'm fishing for experimence reports about integration struts / ejb in existing portal workshop projects.
    Thanks a lot for any hints.
    Stefan

    glad to hear im not the only one struggling with integrating ADF with Portal.
    ADF consists of 3 layers,
    1) Business Layer (model/bc4j)
    2) Controler Layer (struts)
    3) View Layer (uix/jsp/jsf)
    A portlet ussualy takes care of the Controler Layer and the View Layer, it should be possible to use BC4J within your portlets, but not using layers 2 and 3.
    But I guess this is not what we want, we want to create an ADF application within
    JDeveloper and deploy it either standalone or as a portlet.
    I wonder if this is possible with JSF, it doesnt contain struts anymore, so perhaps the
    layered complexity is less?
    An option is always to use the webclipping portlet, but this is not ideal.
    Im curious how Oracle is going to address this, we now have 2 platforms we can develop
    applications for, Portal and Standalone (ADF). Its kinda a waste that portlet development
    is like developing a servlet, not using a luxery framework like ADF.

  • Current status of Tiles and JSF integration

    Hi. I am new to JSF, and I have been researching Tiles integration with JSF. I've read a lot of posts about difficulties encountered when integrating them, and other posts seem to suggest that it is definitely do-able (some posts say using Shale Tiles is the way to go instead of using Struts tiles.)
    I have not found any definitive or straight forward tutorial on integrating Tiles and JSF. Is it a matter of the JSF technology not being fully developed? Will tiles be easily integrated (as it is in Struts) in the future, without jumping through hoops?
    Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I would rather not use JSF w/ JSP includes as an alternative. It seems as though Struts would be a better choice for what I have to do, unless I can integrate JSF and tiles functionality with relative ease.
    Thanks.

Will tiles be easily integrated (as it is in Struts) in the future, without jumping through hoops?I certainly wouldn't say that JSF technology is not fully developed by any stretch. It's certainly possible that there's some sort of impedance mismatch between the two, but Tiles support is hardly the measure of a framework's maturity. :P
    Having said that, I really can't say much more than that with regard to Tiles. What I can suggest, though, is JSFTemplating or Facelets. Both are mature products, engineered specifically for use with JSF. Facelets is probably the more popular of the two and is slated for inclusion in JSF 2.0 in some form, while JSFTemplating, which supports the Facelets syntax, is another strong alternative (which, incidentally, is what powers the GlassFish admin GUI).
    Hope that helps...

  • Struts 2 Integration problem witn Coldfusion in CF 8 MX server

    I have successfully integrated struts 2 with existing coldfusion mx 8 server. The action classes are invoked and executed. However the struts tags are not getting instantiated in my jsps.
    Steps i tried:
    - configuring wwwroot/web-inf/web.xml in coldfusion 8
    - adding relevant jars.
    - packaging struts 2 actions under '/extended' context since wwwroot is not supporting context.
    - placing 'struts.xml' under '../runtime/lib' since the struts.xml is not being recognized under '/wwwroot/web-inf/classes'
    All the jsps render and action executes my code. However, when i try using struts-tags like <s:form>
    it throws an exception which looks like:

    The first thing I would look for is more then one instance of
    ColdFusion
    running, each one processing the scheduled task. There could
    easily
    have been another ColdFusion process that had been turned off
    in the
    services panel that was restarted with the server reboot.

  • JSF integration with Webwork and Freemarker ?

    My company is investing a lot in an application that uses Webwork and Freemarker. I'd like to reuse chunks of that but with JSF components for new development. I know it's possible to link to and from external URLs using JSF's navigation, but I don't think that buys me much in this case. Is it possible to use the JSF View (as in Model-View-Controller) with someone else's (Webwork's) front controller? I'm guessing JSF can coexist with Freemarker as it does with JSP and HTML. Or, does anyone know of any successful approach to Webwork integration anywhere?
    thx!
