Steps to create another domain on WLS6?

Hi,
I am trying to create another domain in weblogic6.0, which by default have
three domain
already in there.
1. I startup example server and open weblogic admin console.
http://localhost:7001/console/
2. I select 'Create or edit other Domains' item from Configuration-General
menu,
then create a new domain (mybea) in Repositories.
it create a subdirectory mybea under bea/wlserver6.0/config
directory.
also with a config.xml file and I changed it a bit like follow.
---------- config.xml ------------
<Domain
Name="mybea"
>
<Server
AcceptBacklog="50"
AdministrationPort="0"
ClusterWeight="1"
ConsoleInputEnabled="false"
DGCIdlePeriodsUntilTimeout="2"
DefaultProtocol="t3"
DefaultSecureProtocol="t3s"
HttpdEnabled="true"
JavaCompiler="D:\BeaServer\jdk130/bin/javac"
ListenPort="7001"
Name="mybeaServer"
NativeIOEnabled="true"
SocketReaderTimeoutMaxMillis="10"
TransactionLogFilePrefix="config/mybea/logs/"
TunnelingClientPingSecs="45"
TunnelingClientTimeoutSecs="40"
>
<Log
FileName="./config/mybea/logs/weblogic.log"
Name="mybeaServer"
/>
<ServerDebug
Name="mybeaServer"
/>
<KernelDebug
Name="mybeaServer"
/>
</Server>
<JTA
Name="mybea"
/>
<ApplicationManager
Name="mybea"
/>
<Security
Name="mybea"
/>
</Domain>
3. Next step I am not sure how to do.
I rename startExamplesServer.cmd and then copy it to mybea directory
and changed startup script like this,
java -hotspot -ms64m -mx64m -classpath
%CLASSPATH% -Dweblogic.Domain=mybea -Dweblogic.Name=mybeaServer -Dbea.home=D
:\BeaServer -Dcloudscape.system.home=./samples/eval/cloudscape/data -Djava.s
ecurity.policy==D:\BeaServer\wlserver6.0/lib/weblogic.policy weblogic.Server
I got error ,

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the that great tip.
In that time machine back up I have some applications for e.g. MS office etc and I wanted it to be like a virtual machine as such that I launch when I want to use the applications, see my data etc....I have bought parallels as that allows you to have multiple virtual machines on your laptop whether these are multiple mac images as time machine backups or linux, Microsoft Windows 7, 8 etc....
Thats what I eventually want to do here...
This feature that you provided is also of good reference for me in future.

  • Cannot view  pab of another domain

    I created another domain called 'internal-abc.com" aside from the default domain abc.com. I migrated some users from the abc.com domain to the "internal-abc.com" domain. Email routing works fine for both domains however, when I access the pab using the webmail, only users from the same domain can be viewed. Say I login to domain abc.com, I cannot anymore access the pab from internal-abc.com. Is there a workaround for users of both domain to see each other's pab using webmail interface.
    Thanks,
    John

    Actually, I don't know of a way to allow any user to view the PAB for another user. . .

    Hello,
    Suddenly the working CRM is being stopped for some group of users.
    I drilled down to the issue and have checked that the users from Domain in which CRM is installed are having CRM access.
    But for other domain user having problem to access CRM.
    I tried to add a user from a domain which is not of CRM domain then it gives following error.
    "Business Management Error: You are attempting to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist. Select another domain logon and try again.
    <Message>LookupAccountNameW failed with error</Message> "
    The change is made - AD group have upgraded Activer Directory server to 2012 R2
    Please help as the Production CRM is not working for other domain user.

    We have Activer Directory Structure like below.
    One Root Domain says A
    and there are multiple child domain like B,C,D etc...
    B,C and D are all in same level,they are child of A domain.
    There are two way transitive trusts between A and all the child Domain.
    But there is no trust in between B and C and so on.
    Our CRM server is in B domain and B domain's user can access CRM but users of Domain C,D and so on can not access CRM.

  • Domain Admin that can't create another administrator

    Any and all that can provide assistance,
             I am in the military and semi-new to the whole system administration scene. I belong to the administrators group, domain admins, schema admins and enterprise admin. Back in November, i was able to create admin
    accounts with no issue. Recently, I tried creating another administrator account similar to mine and the account that I created is immediately disabled and the user is removed from all of the aforementioned groups.
             Now back in November all of my servers were Windows Server 2003 and now our Exchange is Windows Server 2008, which has caused us some issues creating users with a mailbox but I don't think this is causing
    this particular dilemma. I had two other system administrators try creating the same account and they were met with the same exact issues.
             My thought is that someone had changed something in group policy or the registry that prevents Domain Admins from creating any other sort of administrative account. However, this is highly unauthorized in
    my organization so I sincerely hope this is not the case. My team and I have combed through group policy and have not been able to find anything that would cause this.
            If anyone has seen this, or if anyone can provide any guidance, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not too sure what additional troubleshooting I can do that I haven't done already.

    It sounds like you have a group policy using restricted groups.
    - Open GPMC.msc
    - Look at the GPOs linked to your "Domain Controllers" OU.
    - One of those policies will likely have the following setting:
         - EDIT each GPO and check for the setting:
         - Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Restricted Groups.
    When you set these groups by policy, you can add a member for about 5-15 minutes until the GPOs refresh on your domain controllers.  If you want to add users to these groups, you must add them with this policy.

  • Move a blog to another domain name

    How can I easily move an existing blog with its current and archived entries to a different site/domain name?
    I have an existing family iWeb site with an embedded blog. Since viewship has grown beyond the original intended audience, I want to move the blog to its own domain name for privacy reasons.
    Also, I am a .Mac family pack user. I use domain maksing to inhibit the appearance of the native URL's. The blog entries contain a number of links to previous blog entries.
    I thought about the following steps but thought it wise to solicit advise first!
    1. Create a new id using our .Mac family pack.
    2. Copy the existing Domain file.
    3. Delete all the non-blog entries within the copied file.
    4. Publish the copied file to the new id.
    This seems to simple to be true, which I why I thought it wise to ask for advice before trying!
    Thanks

    Doug...
    Your steps sound pretty much on key. The only other thing that you might want to consider is creating another user account on your computer to use your separate .Mac ID. Then just copy the Domain over and delete the non-blog stuff like you said. The separate user account would make it so that you wouldn't have to manually change the .Mac info in System Preferences...just log in and log out.

  • Error creating new domain (probably because of incomplete install)

    Hi!
    I've installed BPEL PM without problems on a server where AS already runs. I only had some problems with Step 2: Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database. Since I couldn't run the bat files, I manually created shchema and a orabpel user.
    Postinstallation Verification Tasks for Oracle BPEL Process Manager in BPEL Process Manager Installation Guide went through OK, so I thought everything is OK.
    Then I tried creating new BPEL domain (trying to follow GoogleFlow tutorial but can't deploy because I don't have any domains) and got this error:
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Error updating domain index.
    An exception occurred while writing the domain index (id"GoogleDomain", ref "1") to the datastore; the exception reported is: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
    Please check that:
    + the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network.
    + the connection pool properties as defined in the application server startup properties are valid.
    + the database schema for the OraBPEL server has been installed in the datasource.
    So I found a similar thread (Strange message when logged in to bpel console where one user had similar problems and solved them by manually running the domain_oracle.ddl script. I did the same, but still can't create a new domain.
    One more thing bothers me: if I try to create new domain with the same name I get:
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Domain already exists.
    A domain with identifier "GoogleFlowDomain" already exists at "C:\OracleAS\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\domains\GoogleFlowDomain". Please specify another domain identifier.
    But deployed domains list is empty.
    I'd really like to solve this. Maybe a new BPEL PM install would help but I can't execute step 2 of preinstallation tasks. If I execute the line from irca file
    java -classpath %CLASSPATH% -DORACLE_HOME=%ORACLE_HOME% oracle.tip.install.tasks.IRCA %*
    I get
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Files\Java\jre1/5/0_06\lib\ext\QTJava/zip
    Any kind of further instructions would be much appreciated.
    Regards!
    BB

    Hi!
    It was the Step 2 (preinstallation steps): Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database step that was causing all of my problems. I figured out why I couldn't run irca.bat file.
    The problem was in java home that was in C:/Program Files/Java... Looks like java or oracle (I don't know which) still have problems with spaces in directories names. When I installed Java to C:/Java/..., I could run IRCA and after reinstallation of BPEL PM everything is working as it should.
    Maybe this will help someone else.
    Bye

  • How to manage one domain from another domain

    I have created 2 domains domain1 and domain2. I deployed a web application in domain2 and created a managed server "newManagedserver-1" to run the application. From admin console of domain1, I need to control ie start/stop managed server "newManagedserver-1" created in domain2 by using the Node manager.
    Please let me know if its possible and if so, please let me know the steps.

    Ok thanks for information. I have following questions:
    1)Is it possible for same domain to exist on more than 1 physical machine. I mean lets consider I create a domain domain1 in physical machine1 and same domain1 in physical machine2. Can I monitor managed servers of physical machine2 from admin console of physical machine1. Paths of the domain1 on both the physical machines being same(C:\bea\user_projects\domains)
    2)If the paths of domain1 on both physical machines is different(for eg C:\CLOSR\install1\appserver\autodeploy\domain1 and C:\CLOSR\install2\appserver\autodeploy\domain1), then will the node manager functionality with admin server of machine1 and managed servers on machine2 work?---We can create one domain (domain1) and have different managed servers on two different physical machines.
    Which means create a domain on machine1,and while adding a managed servers to that domain,
    1)create 1 managed server (MS1) and provide the IP address of the same box(machine1)
    2)create second managed server (MS2) and provide the IP address of the second box(machine2)
    In this way we can create two managed servers on two different machines (machine1 and machine2), and as per your requirement monitor/manage the managed servers from machine1.
    We don’t need to create a domain on another machine explicitly,however this configuration need few steps to be performed.
    This concept is called Horizontal cluster,Following forum link will explain the same in detail.
    Vertical and Horizontal Clustering
    ---Regarding having different paths for the same domain on machine1 and machine2,
    We will not create a domain on machine 2 explicitly; the concept is creating one domain but distributing it on different machines.
    So paths of the installation or the directory where we have the managed sever will not matter here.
    The node manager functionality will work, provided we configure it correctly.
    Following link will help you understand this in a better way.

  • Steps to create LOGICAL DATABASE in sap

    hi guys,
    i have gone through many documents about LDB. But, i didnt get the steps to create a LDB.
    plz provide me with the steps to be followed to create a LDB.
    thnx,
    shivaa.

    Hi Shiva,
    This might help you!
    Logical database structures
    There are three defining entities in an SAP logical database. You must be clear on all three in order to create and use one.
    Table structure: Your logical database includes data from specified tables in SAP. There is a hierarchy among these tables defined by their foreign keys (all known to SAP), and you are going to define a customized relationship between select tables. This structure is unique and must be defined and saved.
    Data selection: You may not want or need every item in the referenced tables that contributes to your customized database. There is a selection screen that permits you to pick and choose.
    Database access programming: Once youu2019ve defined your logical database, SAP will generate the access subroutines needed to pull the data in the way you want it pulled.
    Creating your own logical database
    ABAP/4 (Advanced Business Application Programming language, version 4) is the language created by SAP for implementation and customization of its R/3 system. ABAP/4 comes loaded with many predefined logical databases that can construct and table just about any conventional business objects you might need in any canned SAP application. However, you can also create your own logical databases to construct any custom objects you care to define, as your application requires in ABAP/4. Hereu2019s a step-by-step guide:
    1. Call up transaction SLDB (or transaction SE36). The path you want is Tools | ABAP Workbench | Development | Programming Environment | Logical Databases. This screen is called Logical Database Builder.
    2. Enter an appropriate name in the logical database name field. You have three options on this screen: Create, Display, and Change. Choose Create.
    3. Youu2019ll be prompted for a short text description of your new logical database. Enter one. Youu2019ll then be prompted to specify a development class.
    4. Now comes the fun part! You must specify a root node, or a parent table, as the basis of your logical database structure. You can now place subsequent tables under the root table as needed to assemble the data object you want. You can access this tree from this point forward, to add additional tables, by selecting that root node and following the path Edit | Node | Create. Once youu2019ve saved the structure you define in this step, the system will generate the programming necessary to access your logical database. The best part is you donu2019t have to write a single line of code.
    Watch out!
    The use of very large tables will degrade the performance of a logical database, so be aware of that trade-off. Remember that some tables in SAP are very complex, so they will be problematic in any user-defined logical database.
    Declaring a logical database
    Hereu2019s another surprising feature of logical databases: You do not assign them in your ABAP/4 Code. Instead, the system requires that you specify logical databases as attributes. So when you are creating a report, have your logical database identifier (the name you gave it) on hand when you are defining its attributes on the Program Attributes screen. The Attributes section of the screen (the lower half) will include a Logical database field, where you can declare your logical database.
    Logical databases for increasing efficiency
    Why else would you want to create a logical database? Consider that the logical databases already available to you begin with a root node and proceed downward from there. If the data object you wish to construct consists of items that are all below the root node, you can use an existing logical database program to extract the data, then trim away what you donu2019t want using SELECT statementsu2014or you can increase the speed of the logical database program considerably by redefining the logical database for your object and starting with a table down in the chain. Either way, youu2019ll eliminate a great deal of overhead.
    Reward if useful.
    Thankyou,
    Regards.

    CFGFWK-60839:  Database Load Failed!
    Please help me if you find any problem with the steps that I am following to create my weblogic_portal_domain.
    I was following the steps mentioned at : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14252.pdf to create my domain to start portal development.

    Those are the WLP 10.3.2 instructions. But, the 10.3.4 instructions in the tutorial (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26806_01/wlp.1034/e14252/setup_dev_env.htm#i1014619) are wrong, too.
    In 10.3.4, with derby, Run Scripts doesn't work any longer; it should still work the other database (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). Instead, for derby, just create the domain, accepting any warning dialogs about databases that come up. After that finishes, in the domain directory, run create_db.cmd (on windows) or create_db.sh (on *nix and Mac). It should create the derby database files in the domain, and include everything needed.
    I'll send a note to get the docs updated.

  • I am not able to access Firefox under one user account on my computer so I created another account. How can I transfer the bookmarks from the old account?

    I use windows Vista and I cannot open Firefox under one user account (I keep receiving the "firefox profile cannot be loaded . . ." error message) on my computer so I created another account. How can I transfer the bookmarks from the old account?

    NOTE: you can skip this 1st step.
    Step 1
    I'm on Win7 so the paths might be slightly different... C:\Users\(YOUR PC ACCOUNT)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bnelgkol.default\bookmarkbackups ... Find the "bookmarks-[DATE].json" you want and copy it to the profile you want. You may want to change the date to a name you will recognize.
    Step 2
    Then on your browser "Bookmarks>Show All Bookmarks or Ctrl+Shift+B ". This will bring up the Bookmark Organizer, I think they call it Library now. From there click "Import & Back up>Restore" this will bring up a drop down with your back ups. If you followed step 1, find the json you added and select it. If you skipped step 1, from "Import & Back up>Restore" select "Choose File..." Then browser for the json you want to import. Which should be in a similar location as mentioned in step 1.
    NOTE: "AppData" is a hidden folder, will have to set show hidden folders to be able to see it.

    Hi ..Try,
    1) Check your database and ensure thar DEMODB schema is exist or not.
    2) Exit JDeveloper and then delete  or rename the folder "C:\Users\sumandal\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system12.1.2.0.40.66.68". Start JDeveloper and run integrated weblogic server . Provide the essential things like password, host etc. I hope this will solve your issue.
    You can refer the below link also if you do not get the solution after doing the second step.

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.7 installation Issues - Fails on Creating a Domain

    Hi,
    I have completed all the steps mentioned in different posts in this forum regarding my error, but none of them helps. After comprehensive searching i have tried to install OBIEE with these steps also.
    1st time installation:
    1. Followed simple steps
       a) Created schema using RCU on MS SQL Server successfully.
       b) After that ran the setup of OBIEE, it succeeded all the way, but when it was configuring it stuck on Creating Domain, and eventually failed after 180 minutes.
    2nd time installation:
    I completely removed, OBIEE from my system, with all the registry entries included. Started a fresh installation after reading all these forum posts. but still it failed again on Creating a domain, this time i kept on re-trying for 3 times, it failed and it took me about 315 minutes overall.
    a) Create a loop back adapter.
    b) Assigned that adapter an IP (10.10.10.10). Configured the /etc/host file reflecting my adapter IP and hostname.domain name.

    Hello 0ad6e3fe-e3d8-4867-8ba9-780c4a7150ff,
    Your name must be hard to type, let alone remember. Please choose a more speaking name / handle for this forum since it's inconvenient talking to an alphanumeric string rather than a person.
    You seem to have port issues:
    java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 7001 and 7500
    java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
    java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
    However you're on Windows, so I suggest you check the last post in this thread: Re: OBIEE 11.1.1.5 installation Error on windows 7 64 bit
    BTW: Doing a google search as well as a normal forum search bring up that thread and the very first search result for you issue.
