Stills jitter in animation

I'm using a Motion template called Large Format.HD
When I drop in stills and render out the template the stills jitter and strobe when played it back in FCP.
Does this have to do with motion blur or interpolation?
I have tried different options and noting seems to work.
Even when I use ram preview it stills seems jitter in Motion.
Any thoughts?

Any element on your images that translates into a single pixel or three pixels is likely to shimmer because some of it lives in only one field. Interlacing is the bane of newbies around here. You will need to apply a bit of vertical blur, say, 2 pixels, maybe 3 or 4.

  • Were do I find a program that stiches my stills to an animation ?

    Just in a loop , not interactive .  I have a serie of stills but need a program that creates more frames so that the animation runs smoother.

    If you can't find the movie you downloaded on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, check inside your Videos App

  • Animating a still photo

    i am having trouble figuring how to go about animating a still photo. for example.....
    how they did it:

    what they did:

    is there a way to go about achieving this effect in motion? any tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated

    There is not a liquify filter in Motion, but there are a variety of ways to animate textures in stills. In the first spot on this reel:

    the polar bear images were all stills, but I animated the water etc with a number of techniques. You can drive a displace filter with a cloud generator, animate parameters in the indent filter, etc. Even the ocean in the final CG SOS shot (I did not do the CG) was from a still...
    Understanding animation techniques and the tools you have to work with is always useful, even if you have a liquify filter...

  • Flash as2 game animation, problem.

    hello i am making a flash animation game but i have a problem, i have my guy running and everything its all gifs, so when he stops its a gif its not one picture its 4 of em (gif) which i made them all compressed into a gif and added to my library then added that to my flash made it work blah blah blah-
    well my problem is when my guy runs left he turn right after i let go of the key i no whats it is doing it using my 1 animation i have in their for standing  i to add my other animation which he standing left basically he runs left after i press left then i let go he turns right, i need to know how to make it so either when i let go of the (LEFT) key it uses my animation ('still2') which is him facing left which i need i have him running right and he stays right after so thats good, or if u know if theres a way i can make the code say like after i let go of like left it uses gotoAndStop('still2') then for running right it uses gotoAndStop('still') so he dosent turn around after i let go of left! well i hope u can find out, and its all animated, so dont just make it so it dosent stop using the animation of left or right, cause then hes running in place for enternity thanks heres my code.
          var rollSpeed = Number=14;
         ichigo_mc.onEnterFrame = function() {
          if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
           this._x += rollSpeed;
           this.gotoAndStop("right");
          } else if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {
           this._x -= rollSpeed;
           this.gotoAndStop("left");
          } else {
           this.gotoAndStop("still");

    no its actually not a school project just i want to know how to make a game, and i dont know really anything about flash, but i have in my picture of my guy another layer so theres each indivudual layer like i have in my pic of my guy the still still2 running animation 1 n 2 and both my attack things, if you would to see my project so far ask me and i send the file and it should show my guy and his animations...
    heres my code so far.. idk y but i like putting at the end
       var rollSpeed = Number=14;
         var facingRight = true;
         ichigo_mc.onEnterFrame = function() {
          if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
           this._x += rollSpeed;
           this.gotoAndStop("right");
           facingRight = true;
          } else if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {
           this._x -= rollSpeed;
           this.gotoAndStop("left");
           facingRight = false;
       } else if (Key.isDown(Key.SPACE)) {
        this.gotoAndStop("atack2");
          } else {
           if (facingRight) {
             this.gotoAndStop("still");
           } else {
             this.gotoAndStop("still2");

  • .gif animated files

    Hello to eveybody ! I'm a new subscriber and I have a problem : In my old owned PC I received and sent animated graphics .gif files using HTML formatted e mail messages with no problems. Now in my newbrand MacBook Pro the graphic looks animated by the sender but it looks static to me as recipient when I open the message or save/views it in My documents.
    After various attempts, I found out that if I open the .gif file with Safari.app, I can see it animated but from Safari.app I cannot either save or send it attached to an email message.
    Can someone help me ? Thanks a lot.

    Animated GIF files only show the animation when viewed using an HTML or similar viewing environment.
    Apple mail, AFAIK, only has composing options of text and rich-text and not HTML, so the animation will not show. However, the Gif will still contain the animation frames and should display properly when opened with Safari or other HTML viewer.
    I just sent myself an animated gif, and when I received the email, I right-clicked the gif and selected "open with" and chose Safari and the animation was correct.
    It's simply that the Apple email does not have HTML as one of its composing/viewing options.

  • Animated gif to html report

    Hello All
    Is it possible to save an animated GIF to a html report (for publishing to web and still maintain animation)
    Regards
    Ray

    Mike
    Firstly, thanks for showing an interest in my problem.
    I've done some searching here on the forum using keywords like html, animated gif, report etc, but haven't seen anything close to what I want to do.
    I csn save FPs as a whole into a html report, but am unsure where to even begin for an embedded item such as the gif.
    The animated gif was placed on the FP by simply cut and paste and I'm not sure how to go about saving just the gif (sans rest of the FP) to a html report and still maintain the animation properties.
    Regards

  • Animated gif icon for an exception instead of the standard icon?

    Hello,
    is there a possibillity to use an animated gif icon for an exception instead of the red standard icon in a web template?
    I tried  to change the standard icon s_s_ledr.gif against an animated gif icon in the mime repository, but it does not work. In the IE the icon is still shown without animation.
    Maybe I´ve changed the wrong icon?
    Can you please help me?
    Greetings

    Hi Andreas,
    it is possible to integrate own symbols for exceptions. If you can use animated gif I don't know. However there is a post over here explaining the usage of the modification for symbols:

  • GIF animations load only first frame

    GIF animations show up as still images. Animation only loads after right-clicking and going to image info.

    You have the image.animation_mode set to none as you can see in the System Details List.
    *image.animation_mode: none
    You need on of the other (normal or once)

  • How to use 1 edge animation in multiple pages without duplicate files?

    Hi,
    I want to display an animation on multiple pages that are all located in there own respective folders. I want to be able to move then animation files into it's own dedicated folder e.g. /includes/edge folder where I can still use this animation in other pages not locate in this folder.
    How can this be done?
    Thanks

    For you use case,
    You can have your animate files in a folder and load them in different pages using a iframe

  • Bridge CC hangs/freezes with AE animation presets.

    Does anyone else have the issue of Bridge CC hanging/freezing when an AE animation preset is selected in Bridge?  This happens whether I Browse Presets from AE or I attempt to navigate to the presets folder directly through Bridge CC.
    I have uninstalled and re-installed both programs, with no success.  I can still apply an animation preset to a layer from the presets panel in AE, but of course there is no preview, so this is a bit frustrating.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    No experience with AE but if one set up does work and the other not it is likely the problem of that one set up.
    Uninstall and reinstall without using Adobe cleaner tool is rarely solving problems because existing prefs and cache often keeps the same.
    The central cache is by default installed in the user library caches folder. When in real trouble I always manual delete this cache file, together with the Bridge plist file and restart Bridge holdong down option key and reset prefs.
    This provides an almost new install with factory defaults.
    Be aware that per OSX 10.7 the user library is hidden, use menu Go with option to reveal)
    User / library / caches / Adobe/ Bridge CC : inhere a plug in and a folder called cache. Drag both outside the user library (trash or back up)
    User / library / preferences / com.adobe.Bridge6.plist (drag to the trash)
    restart Bridge holding down option and choose refresh prefs, then try again.
    You need to reset your custom settings and sometimes reset the custom workspace and since you dumped the cache it first needs time to recache your content.

  • Exporting movies with nested animations

    Hi! I'm hoping someone out there can be of some assistants,
    I'm currently working on a animation, and I've pretty much finished
    now and am trying to export the full animation so I can use this
    within Director MX 2004. Only, now I've discovered that ideally to
    produce an animation I should have done my entire animation within
    the main timeline of Flash, I have now found out that if I'm trying
    to export a animation that includes nested movie clips I'll have
    problems exporting the entire animation.
    I've spent sometime researching this problem and found that
    there is a third party applicatiion that will solve this problem,
    called: swf2avi, my only problem with this is that this program is
    only available for PC's and I'm using a Mac. Has anyone else ran
    into this same problem? Does anyone know of another third party
    application that sloves this problem but is mac friendly? Or if not
    does anybody have any helpful suggestions that will help me over
    come this issue?
    Anybody's help / advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Director handles SWF files though doesn't it? I could be
    wrong about that.
    Sounds like you are exporting to a video format. First see
    this article:
    http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/flash/articles/flash_to_video.html
    and yes, SWF2video is for PC only.
    The workaround is for you to simply go back into the FLA and
    set all movie clips to Graphic symbols
    - you can still have nested animation that are in sync with
    main timeline *if* they are *Graphic*
    symbols - you will have to do this for every movie clip
    instance on the stage for every keyframe.
    hope this helps.

  • Which FPS for Smooth Animation?

    I'm a new flash user and I'm having trouble making a simple
    animation (small bitmap single color airplane motion tweened to
    move across the background) for a website. FPS is set to 21 but
    when i test the movie, the animation is choppy & not smooth at
    all. If i try 60FPS, it's very smooth but I think that'd be
    ridiculously high for a website.
    Please take a look at this link because I want my animation
    to be as smooth as this, what FPS do you think they used here?
    http://www.taito.co.jp
    What are some other options for me to retain a 21FPS swf
    file and still keep my animation as smooth as possible? or are
    people just using really high FPS to achieve this? Please help
    me...thank you.

    I use 30fps, I think its smooth but not overkill. Higher than
    that, and you will start to run into PC strains and slow downs on
    older machines, lower than that and things are just inheritantly
    choppy.
    Also, you mention you are animating a bitmap. Bitmaps tend to
    have a harder time than vectors. Also, with Bitmaps, be sure to
    check "allow smoothing" in it's properties in library.

  • Accordion Jitter Problem

    An Accordion menu I'm building exhimits a lot of jitter
    during animation. It occurs in Safar, Firefox and Camino on a Mac.
    (Have't tested yet on Windows.)
    I added extra content in an adjacent column, as I saw
    suggested elsewhere here, but it didn't work. My DOCTYPE is
    correct. I'm using 1.5.
    Is there a fix for this?

    Hi, Kin. Thanks for the tips.
    Unfortunately, neither solved my jitter problem totally.
    First, I set the Accordion element with a height, as you
    suggested. While this seemingly diminished the jitter, it did not
    eliminate it. (I did away with the rules on the Tab elements to
    make sure my height count was simple and accurate: 10 tabs at 30
    pixels, one open panel at 400 pixels = 700 pixels.)
    Then I followed your second suggestion, calling the
    SpryEffects.js file and adding code for that. It had a small effect
    as well: the Accordion's jitter was diminished, and that of the
    adjacent column disappeared. (The Accordion's jitter was mostly
    eliminated, except when the cursor was dragged over several tabs
    quickly. Also, various tabs would cause a jitter at seemingly
    random points.
    As a test, I thought perhaps the mouseover code I added was
    having an unintended effect, so I cut that. But that only increased
    the jitter on both columns.
    I've never liked flyout/dropdown menus, and the Accordion
    seems a fine alternative for space saving.
    I used v1.5 on all tests. I could return to v1.4, but that
    causes those temporary sliders to appear in the tab content area,
    at least in Safari. Is there a way to fix the slider problem in
    1.4?

  • Stills and Premiere

    I need to use some stills in a premiere project and I'm trying to use Image Processor in Photoshop to convert them into tiff files...when I select the specific folder and then see the needed files, they are shadowed and I can't select them...I know I'm overlooking a step..what is it? or what is wrong......thanks

    I'm using tiff because someone at Adobe told me that was the best solution.  I also have the same problem with shadowed files trying to do jpgs.
    Here is the backstory: I have to redo a project that someone put together in iMovie on his iPhone. I need to replace some stills, make the animations more professional like, etc.  I'm trying to use as many of the existing photos the guy originally used, but when I import them into premiere and drag them onto the timeline they look fine, but when I scrub or play the timeline they are all pixelated...so thus, I'm told to run them through Photoshop. Am I missing something here...I'm just a lowly producer with a film background...any suggestions or rants is helpful
