Strange behavior - added spaces to links

I recently built another server to add to my webfarm. The
servers in my farm are Microsoft 2000 Server and 2003 Web Server
edition. I currently have 10 servers working flawlessly. This new
installation however seems to have a problem when it reads the cfm
code - it adds forty (40) spaces to my img src links.
Example of code (view page source option in IE) of a
webserver that has no issues:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"
width="100%"><tr><td colspan="3"
id="List_Row_BG3"><img src="/sw/themes/5/images/blank.gif"
height="1" width="10" hspace="0"
vspace="0"></td></tr><tr><td width="1"
id="List_Row_BG3"><img src="/sw/themes/5/images/blank.gif"
height="10" width="1" hspace="0" vspace="0"></td><td
valign="top"><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"

It doesn't translate exactly when copy pasting to here, but
the link to a picture that doesn't work (from properties on the
failed image in IE):
http://64.14.55.136/sw/themes/5%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%2 0%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20/images/window/jewel.gif
Obviously that makes the page not display images correctly.
Both servers are reading the same exact file from the same network
location. I am at my wits end trying to fix this, instead all I can
think of next is to reinstall the Operating System, and try this
again sans any Microsoft patches in case something there caused
this.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Sure thing, below are snippits from the application.cfm

I filled out the spaces from my copy paste with %20 to
illustrate it since they get truncated when I post.
Thanks for your replies guys.

  • Strange behavior in the top link bar and open in a new tab

    Hello,
    I am having a strange behavior in the top link bar. Every element in the menu has the "open in a new tab"-option checked and is working fine but is not working at all in a sub site which inherit the menu.
    I have look at the code thinking that the menu in the sub site did't get the target="_blank" but is there.
    Anyone who knows what can be happening?
    Thanks!!!!

  • Strange behavior with getCommonCharacterFormat and links

    I am working on a texteditor using TLF and Flash CS5. The problem I have is that when I use getCommonCharacterFormat on a single point selection the behavior is different if I have a link-tag adjacent to the selection compared to not having it.
    Think of a text like this: "Hello beautiful world!"
    - When I place the cursor at the end of the text in bold the format says bold and when i continue to write the text will be in bold.
    - When I place the cursor just before the text in bold the format says not bold and when i continue to write the text will not be in bold.
    This makes perfectly sence to me and is exactly what I would expect to happen.
    But if I make the word "beautiful" into a link the behavior is very different.
    - When I place the cursor at the end of the text in bold the format says not bold but when i continue to write the text will be in bold.
    - When I place the cursor just before the text in bold the format says bold but when i continue to write the text will not be in bold.
    Is this a bug or is there a good explanation to this behaviour? Should I do want I want to do in a different way?
    I you want me to I can paste some example code that illustrates my problem.
    /Peter

    Sounds like a bug. The issue, for what it's worth, is that typing after a link is different than typing after a span, because new text that you type isn't added to the link. We'll investigate.

  • Adding custom navigation rules results in strange behavior

    Hello,
    We'd like to add navigation rules to our application. To avoid post-JHeadstart-generation-steps we created an extra faces-config-custom.xml file which contains the navigation rules. When adding this file to the web.xml and run the aplication we encounter strange behavior
    - Errors are shown in duplicate
    - 'Transaction completed' messages are not shown
    Try adding the underneath faces-config-custom.xml to a standard HR demo project and you will get the same behavior.
    (1) What is the reason of this strange behavior?
    (2) How can we add custom navigation rules, without having to do post creation steps?

    Leon,
    When you perform a drag and drop operation, JDeveloper adds the following lines to the faces-config.xml:
    <lifecycle>
    <phase-listener>
    Oracle.adf.controller.faces.lifecycle.ADFPhaselistener
    </phase-listener>
    </lifecycle>
    However, JHeadstart uses its own subclass of ADFPhaselistener, and defines the lifecycle element in JhsCommon-beans.xml. Due to a bug in ADF, ADF does not look for the lifecycle element in other files than faces-config, and adds its own element in faces-config.xml If you remove these lines, everything works fine again.
    To prevent this from happening again, you can move the following entry from JhsCommon-beans.xml to faces-config.xml:
    <lifecycle> <phase-listener>oracle.jheadstart.controller.jsf.lifecycle.JhsADFPhaseListener</phase-listener>
    </lifecycle>
    And then make a custom template for JhsCommon-beans.vm where you remove this entry.

  • Disk space vanishing, other strange behavior

    In the last two days TechTool has been announcing that my free disk space is getting low. Started at 15%, but it keeps dropping down to 1%. I've deleted about 100GB of data in the last two days, but it isn't helping.
    Checked my log files which aren't ridculously big. None of my processes are using a fraction of the 160GB+ it shows as being allocated to VM. Some strange log entries in console related to MacHelper, but I don't think I ever installed it. Ran an uninstaller just in case.
    Prior to this happening some other odd things have been happening for a week or so:
    External drives aren't dismounting correctly. Click eject and the name remains grayed out and if I unplug the drive I get chided for removing a drive.
    System hangs and requires forced restart. Hangs during restart on the desktop image.
    Had some trouble with an external e-sata drive dismounting all the time using the card slot adaptor for e-Sata. Card would get extremely hot. Used FW800 but had strange behavior with 5 additional drives reminiscent of SCSI. Once I changed the cables around it stopped doing this.

    You may not have gotten all of MacKeeper. From an earlier post of mine:
    I'd search for it using EasyFind. Enter "MacKeeper" and "Zeobit." Set EF to scan all files and folders, invisible, case insensitive, package contents. Search using boolean and phrase. It will probably do a more thorough job than Spotlight. If you can't "Destroy" from EF, use Reveal in Finder to trash and authenticate from there.
    It is also known to install a Windows emulator called "wine;" search for that.
    Also, look in the Keychain for anything MacKeeper or zeobit related, and for its cookies in your browser. When finished, empty the Trash and restart.

    Somehow, as BDAqua suggested, I'm still suspecting it's the logs filling up with a constantly repeating message. Are there any other Users? Can you log in to those and see what's going on with those logs?
    Permissons repair has nothing to do with this.
    Get OmniDisk Sweeper. Run it logged in to all your users.

  • Strange behavior when I try to match a mpeg2 video with the menu size image

    hello all,
    got a strange behavior when I try to match a mpeg2 video with the menu size image,
    menu size is 1920 x 1080 (photoshop file)
    mpeg2 video 1920 x 1080 (1second 19 frames)
    the idea is to go from the menu link to the next sub menu with a video as transition, using the same image on the video as the menu and then zooming in (in my case through a door) to end up after the zoom in the next level menu.
    I try to achieve a smooth change from the first play menu picture to the video image into the next level menu picture,
    everything works good but when I watch it on the preview mode on the left and right side of the video it shows a black bar at least 15 to 25 pixel wide, that means the video image appears smaller and it causes a little jump what is preety disturbing and can not be sold as a professional work.
    why encore treats the video size and picture differently?
    it's gratful appreciated if somebody who got experience in a transition I mentioned obove posting any solution,
    thankl you all

    Hi all
    I'm having a very similar problem with Encore. My menu items are distorting (a minor but infuriating squashing top and bottom) when previewed.
    Using Encore,PS,AE CS4
    DVD format SD PAL DV widescreen
    I created 3 menu frameworks and 3 video transistions to link them in AE. On the final frame of each transistion in AE I saved the frame with Composition>Save Frame to> Photoshop Layers. In PS i added the button functionality and saved.
    In Encore I use Dynamic link to import AE transistions as timelines and imported each PS menu twice, once as "menu" and once as an asset.
    When I link the timeline transistions to the menu and preview at the point the menu begins the whole image is squashed. When the next transistion is activated the image returns to its original size.
    Thinking it was the use of PS that was causing the menus to distort I used the menu asset directly in the time line. Obviously no menu functionality but also no distortion. The AE transistion flowed straight into the "menu" just as I expected.
    In the properties panel the menu Aspect Ratio 16:9
    The AE transistions PAR is SD PALwidescreen 1.4587.
    I did try the Blu Ray suggestion above but the same distortion was apparent.
    Any suggestions short of squashing the video to match the menu would be welcomed.
    Thanks

  • Strange behavior of HtmlPanelGrid.getChildren().clear();

    I have some problem, described in previous messages.
    Investigating it, I found some strange behavior, which I cannot understand.
    I builded a small application to isolate this strangeness.
    There are two pages, first and second. There are hyperlinks from first page to second. Secon page serves as an indicator, that navigation was successfull. It is not so all the time.
    There is a bean, which constructs a hyperlink at runtime and which contains my problem, as I think.
    The config file is (header and footer skipped):
    <navigation-rule>
    <from-view-id>/welcomeJSF.jsp</from-view-id>
    <navigation-case>
    <from-outcome>select</from-outcome>
    <to-view-id>/secondPage.jsp</to-view-id>
    </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>
    <managed-bean>
    <managed-bean-name>bean</managed-bean-name>
    <managed-bean-class>Buggy.Bean</managed-bean-class>
    <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
    </managed-bean>
    One can see, that navigation is always controlled with the one constant string literal -- select. The bean is called just "bean" and it exists during a session.
    First page is (header and footer skipped):
    <f:view>
    <h:form>
    <h:commandLink id="link1" action="select" value="link1 (hardcoded)"/>
    <h:panelGrid id="panel" binding="#{bean.panel}" columns="20" border="1" cellspacing="0">
    <h:commandLink id="link2" action="select" value="link2 (hardcoded)"/>
    </h:panelGrid>
    </h:form>
    </f:view>
    One can see, that there are two hardcoded hyperlinks, one is inside the panelGrid, second is outside. Also it is seen, that the panel is binded with bean property as a whole.
    The second page is just displaying a text to be sure the navigation occured.
    Now the bean (header and footer skipped):
    private HtmlPanelGrid panel;
    public HtmlPanelGrid getPanel() {
    return panel;
    public void setPanel(HtmlPanelGrid panel) {
    this.panel = panel;
    Application application = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication();
    MethodExpression expr = application.getExpressionFactory().createMethodExpression(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getELContext(), "select", String.class, new Class[0]);
    HtmlCommandLink link = (HtmlCommandLink) application.createComponent(HtmlCommandLink.COMPONENT_TYPE);
    link.setId("link3");
    link.setValue("link3 (softcoded)");
    link.setActionExpression(expr);
    panel.getChildren().clear();
    panel.getChildren().add(link);
    One can see, that a third (softcoded) hyperlink is added to the panel dynamically, with preliminary clearing panel content.
    * STRANGENESSES *
    1) despite the fact, that the panel is cleared prior to adding softcoded hyperlink, I CAN see it on the page (all 3 hyperlinks are seen)
    2) in the debugger I can see, that while executing code, the children list is empty; this can mean, that the order of execution of the Jave code and JSP code is reversed; despite this fact, I see the hardcoded link BEFORE the softcoded
    3) the link2 (hardcoded) is not work, i.e. it is not leads the second page to be displayed
    4) if I comment the line panel.getChildren().clear(); then all 3 hyperlinks start to work

    But when I put links creation code in bean's constructor, it was lost.
    It seems to me, that the system creates panel independently and only after that calls setter of my bean. Ergo, the data from the panel field, initialized in constructor is overwrited.
    Where I should place programmatic filling of panel element?

  • JDEV Team: Strange behavior in TOMCAT using DATATAGS (VERY CRITICAL)

    I am encountering some strange behavior when I deploy my application to TOMCAT.
    If I run in JDeveloper (webtogo) everything works fine but the behavior changes completely in TOMCAT.
    Let me try and explain my situation here.
    I have 3 jsps :
    1.iss_listApps.jsp which is used to browse all the available records, allows the user to navigate to a specific record and edit or delete.
    2. app_edit.jsp which is used to edit/delete a specific row passed from iss_listApps.jsp.
    3. app_edit_post.jsp which is used to save the changes.
    Note that I use an anchor ">Edit</a> to pass a row from the browser page to the edit page.
    For your convenience I have listed all the source files below.
    Now here are my problems:
    Problem 1. If I run it in JDeveloper, I am able to browse the records and go to a specific record to edit and delete by clicking on the "Edit" anchor provided in the browser page.
    I can also go to the edit page and backout out of it by not saving the changes. In that case I am back in my browser page and I can again click on the "Edit" anchor to a specific record.
    However if I am in TOMCAT, I am able to browse and go to a specific record so long as I make changes to it and save it. If for any reason, I do not save a record and I go back to my browser
    page then any subsequent calls to to edit a specific record goes to the same OLD RECORD that I did not save.
    I fail to understand why? Maybe the "webtogo" server automatically refreshes when I click on the "back tab". If so, how do I automatically refresh a jsp page when I click on the "back tab" in TOMCAT.
    I would sincerely appreciate any help on this.
    Problem 2. I have an include jsp tag in my browser page. defined as
    <jsp:include page="Message.jsp" flush="true">
    <jsp:param name="colspan" value="2"/>
    </jsp:include>.
    This section of the code is currently commented out because if I uncomment it then it runs ok in JDeveloper but in Tomcat it causes the browser page to always navigate to the first record if I want to edit a specific record.
    I would sincerely appreciate any answer on this.
    Here are my source files:
    1. iss_ListApps.jsp (browser page). Please see how the anchor is formed. It causes no problems
    in JDeveloper.

    I would not expect the 'back' button to automatically refresh the page. This button basically traverses the history of pages. Since Tomcat is caching your pages, you can try to control it's interaction with the browser by:
    1. Adding cache control pragmas to the returned content so it doesn't get cached.(look at www.w3c.org at the HTTP spec)
    2. dont rely on the back button, place a link on your pages to go back to the list page.
    3. change your cache control settings in your browser to check for a new page every time a url is visited.

  • Strange behavior after suspend.

    Hi,
    For some time I have a strange behavior of my system after I awake my computer(after suspend). This problem don't disappear after update.
    Ok, so if I suspend my computer, and awake him I can't run any program. Even if i was open some application, this application crashes. I have to restart my machine.
    Somebody had similar problem or know how help?
    I'm using Arch Linux x64, kernel 3.8, openbox. Suspend by "systemctl suspend".

    OK, maybe good idea is paste here my output journal:
    # journalctl --since=today | tac | sed -n '/-- Reboot --/{n;:r;/-- Reboot --/q;p;n;b r}' | tac

  • Issue in adding Space to the existing Virtual Machine from added repository

    Hi,
    I'm facing issue in adding Space to the existing Virtual Machine (Guest OS) from added repository.
    Environment details :
    VM Server : /OVS => 130GB
    /OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ => 512 GB
    Things I have done :
    •     I created a VM (Guest OS) in the VM Server with 120 GB
    •     After creating the VM (Guest OS) , When I tried adding a VIRTUAL DISK of size 150 GB , I got an error “Maximum available Disk space is only 10GB”.
    My query :
    •     Will I be able to add space to Existing VM from the added Repository ( /OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ ) , whose system.img is stored in path /OVS/running_pool/34_rhel/ .
    Kindly help me out in this.
    Thanks in advance.
    -- Sri

    Hi all,
    I checked with Oracle on the above and got the info currently , the we can utilise only the space available in the existing repo and cannot extend to additional repo.
    Work around is : Clone it to the other repo , or Use Symbolic link .
    Thanks,
    Sri.

  • Strange Behavior from iTunes 7.2

    Running itunes - 7.2Recently had my itunes library “corrupted” or non functional.
    Spent a long, long time rebuilding the library (see below) and noticed some strange behavior that has me terrified that itunes is corrupted and I am going to loose all the hard work, etc..
    1. I have about 100 GB of music in various formats (apple protected/itunes store, mp3 (128 to 320), apple lossless, wav) and when I tried to rebuild the library by clicking on add to library it only added about 65 GB of the 100 GB. I had to go through and figure out what was missing and manually choose the specific folder when I added it.
    Major pain and very time consuming.
    So it is not adding songs correctly, but through way too much effort able to work around this.
    2. About ½ of the itunes store tunes I purchased are no longer apple protected format. Somehow they were converted to mp3 at 192kbs. Some of the songs play fine others are now not as crisp and make a poping sound or skip. How could this happen? Are these files corrupted? Will I loose them?
    3. At the top center of itunes the information bar, where the read out is for what song is playing and how much time has elapsed in the song, is not working. When I click on a song it starts playing but the elapsed time bar and counter never move, and when the next song starts playing the information never changes. It is stuck on what ever song you initiate play with by clicking on it and the information stays frozen.
    4. itunes randomly stops playing at the end of a song….If listening to an album it is usually after three or four songs and when listening to a play list it is usually after one song.
    I am afraid itunes is corrupted and will not function correctly and I am going to loose the hard work I put in trying to recover from the last crash.
    Any suggestions??
    Can’t wait for time machine. I hope it works as advertised. If so I could just go back in time to the last time iTunes worked correctly and go from there.

    First of all I hope that you have a good b/u of all your tunes - either on ext HD or on DVD. Don't forget to b/u the iTunes Library and .xml files at the same time.
    Have you tried to reinstall iTunes? Drag the app to the trash and remove the iTunesX.pkg from HD>Library>Receipts>iTunesX.pkg. Using a fresh .dmg of iTunes 7.2 reinstall.
    Have you repaired permissions with Disk Utility?
    Is your Quicktime up to date? At least version v7.1.5.

  • Strange behavior from a PB G4 (Part 2)

    On to my next issue. Often when I'm typing the insertion point will jump to someplace other than where it should be or just disappear all together. I'm not doing anything to cause it to do this. I've been being really carefull to not to do anything wrong. I'ts often enough to be a real nuisance. It happened 7 times during my first post (Strange behavior from a PB G4) and 3 times during this one. Please help. Thanks.

    Did you use the iFixit website? It has excellent pictures and instructions that are easy to follow.
    Replacing any hard disk drive will be challenging for a paraplegic, but with someone's help it can be done fairly inexpensively. There are many tiny fasteners that require tiny tools. Use an egg carton to store them, separated by their location in the PowerBook.
    Earlier PowerBooks are easier to work on than later ones.
    I still use a PowerBook G4 on occasion, mostly for importing video for editing in iMovie. I upgraded its original 60 GB HD to a much larger one. If you were to do this you would need to locate the PowerBook's original System Install DVD to install and subsequently update OS X and all its original programs.
    If you ensure at least a few gigabytes free space, I think most of your problems will be fixed. When free disk space gets down to a few hundred megabytes or less, performance will suffer dramatically. You don't want it to ever get anywhere near that low. Strange things start to happen.
    Keep the number of icons on the Desktop to a minimum also. That makes a difference, for reasons that I do not fully understand.

  • Strange Behavior of GET PERNR

    Hi All,
    I am facing a strange behavior with GET Event for PNP LDB.
    In my selection-screen, i have fields like Payroll Area, Current Period, Other Period, personnel number.
    Usually, i populate Payroll area, other period(say 06-2007) and input some personnel number.
    When i tried to debug for one personnel, its not at all going into GET PERNR event...it directly goes to END-OF-SELECTION event.
    Please help on this.

    Kiran Chennapai

    Hi Manoj,
    The below is some part for my coding:
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      IF pnptimr9 = 'X'.
        PERFORM f_get_next_period.    "Take next period when the selection
        " is current period
      ENDIF.
    Get deatils of actions and pay-scales
      PERFORM f_get_data.
      CLEAR: g_num_processed, g_num_skipped, g_num_success, g_num_error.
    GET pernr.
      rp_provide_from_last p0001 space pn-begda pn-endda.
      IF pnp-sw-found = 1.
    Verify whether the personnel is under the given Payroll area or not
        CHECK p0001-abkrs = pnpxabkr.
        IF p_eegrp IS NOT INITIAL.
    Verify personnel's employee group is under the given EEgroup
          CHECK p_eegrp = p0001-persg.
        ENDIF.
    start processing for the selected personnel
        PERFORM f_process_data.
      ENDIF.
    END-OF-SELECTION.
    Do increment process for all the selected personnel
      IF NOT git_process[] IS INITIAL.
        PERFORM f_increment_process.
      ENDIF.
    When i tried to put a break-point at the first statement in the GET event and executed, its not going into GET event at all.(personnel number is existing in the system)
