Strange Color issue for my display (blue - purple tint)

hi guys,
I have a white macbook.
Recently, I realize some color issue on displaying blue.
check this picture below (I uploaded to my flickr)
and when it occurs I can only restart my computer, sometimes it changes back to normal...
or I can just use an external screen to ignore this problem (which I am doing it now)
anyone have any ideas?

I fixed it by going back into each diffuse texture and choosing "Edit UV Properties" and hitting OK - this seem to reset and re-render each texture.
Seems like a bug unless you can't use Image Size on documents that contain 3D layers maybe?

  • Help matching color profiles for 2 displays??

I have two cinema display monitors (one new, the other 1 year old), and I can't get them to share a color profile. Through SysPrefs I can calibrate them individually, but the results look completely different. The older monitor appears "pinker" overall, esp. in the light tones. When I finish calibrating, the last dialogue box asks to if I want to share the color profile, but I can't see the new profile in the other monitor's Display Profile list.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you uncheck "Show profiles for this display only"? If the displays are not the same model, and age, you probably want different profiles, anyway. To calibrate properly you need a colorimeter.

  • Printing in a Blue/Purple tint... ?

Suddenly it seems that my iPhoto will only prints photos in very bluish to purplish hues.
I can't think of anything I've changed. I've been printing just fine since my last ink change maybe 5-6 weeks ago, including photos. Now it prints everything in blue/purple for the most part.

Try Fix 101: delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
Also have you run the nozzle cleaning routine and the nozzle check print to make sure they all are clear and printing correctly?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Strange 3D issue - all textures display as the same texture after resizing document

    Hi There,
I've just had my first 3D experience in Photoshop mapping a bunch of different label options onto a cylinder - everything was working perfectly until I re-sized the image.
Now each label change-out gets displayed as one of the labels - Photoshop will only display one label despite there being mutiple layers and layer comps.
    If I:
Go to the diffuse texture for each label and choose "Edit texture"
A new window opens showing the correct label/texture
    Has anyone else seen this?
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Ben

  • All picture and videos display a purple tint.

I own a HP TOuchsmart 310PC using WINDOWS 7 os. 64Bit.  Before I log into windows, I have the normal login screen with the normal color. After I log into windows and attempt to look at any pictures or videos located in my computer and on the web, there is a purple tinge to all graphics. There are no error messages, just the purple tinge on all graphics. What can I do to get rid of this? Thanks

  • Bizzare Color Issue With JPEGs In RGB

Recently when I've imported any jpegs from either the web or from my Thinkstock account I get strange color issues when it opens the image. Mostly the distortion happens in the whites. By default it opens in RGB mode (figure 1) and the issue goes away if I convert to CMYK mode (figure 2) but the image needs to be in RGB for me to use in an After Effects comp. Is there some step I'm missing in my color management? Thanks!

Make sure you install the 10.9.1 update.
Another test you can do is disable GPU drawing in Photoshop's preferences, then relaunch Photoshop.
If the problem goes away, then it was caused by the video card driver (or, possibly by a defect in the GPU, but those aren't as common).

  • IGS Pie Graph - colors issue

    Hello all,
I'm displaying an IGS Pie graph in a Web-Dynpro application.
Since in a pie graph the different parts of the pie are of the same series in different elements,
I couldn't find a way to set different colors to them using the chart designer.
When choosing a specific color, all the parts appear in the same color.
When choosing an automatic color, they appear in different color,
but then I don't have control over the color.
Is there a way to define the pie so that every part is of a different series?
Otherwise, Is there a way (by using the chart designer or by code)
To achieve an IGS pie graph with the colors of my choice?
    Thanks ahead for any help,
    Anuj

  • Factory color profile for LSN133BT01A02

    Hi
I've deleted everything from ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles (don't ask why, I'm stupid). Now when I try to calibrate monitor it says "The factory color profile for the display cannot be found"
Can I get default factory profile somewhere? MBA 13" Mid 2013
    Terminal command
    ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
says I have LSN133BT01A02 Color LCD screen.

Seems the profile was /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays/Color LCD-933C106C-08BC-09AA-F750-C2A74A119DEF.icc

  • Photoshop CC 2014 No Longer Displaying Blue In The Color Picker Or Workspace, Only Purples.

Photoshop CC 2014 is no longer displaying blue in the color picker and on screen, only purple, violet, magenta, etc. I think it started about 3 days ago. Our current model 2.9 GHz iMac with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1024 MB Graphics Card and 8 GB RAM is calibrated to 100% via Spyder 4 Express, and reflects that in every application except Photoshop CC 2014, so I know it isn't the monitor. Blue is the primary color we use in many of our designs, so this is of upmost importance. I really appreciate any help you could provide, If this isn't fixed ASAP, I don't know what we'll do.
    Thank you so much!

Ok, so old files are purple, but new files are blue.
I took a screenshot of my Photoshop work are using Cmd-Shift-3 and it places the screen shot as a png file on my desktop, which I upload with my reply via the Camera icon in the forum reply toolbar.
I loaded a new RGB/8 file, set the bottom status bar to indicate the color profile (sRGB) and made sure the file tab on the top is visible, so I can see it is RGB/8. Then I used Cmd-shift-k to show my Color Settings before taking the screenshot. The point is to try and see where the problem is coming from, so make a screenshot just like mine with your old purple file.

  • Strange color display-Pages 2

Am writing this after reading the posts on slow performance. Just installed iWork 06, hoping like others for an upgraded snazzy version of Pages. I am growing to appreciate the integration with the OS X color & type palettes. BUT performance is abysmal - on a text-only, 2-page document no less.
Not here to rehash performance issues, just to list another very peculiar phenomenon: On my PowerBook (yes, an old one, but with G4 processor upgrade, extra memory, much bigger new 7200 drive) a strange thing happens: If the document window is to the far left of the laptop monitor, the black text turns a lime green, selections become a brilliant magenta. If the window is moved to the center or right of the screen, the normal black displays. (Using the color palette to change text color doesn't work at all. - Definitely an application problem.)
Other apps perform normally. This occurs ONLY with Pages 06 - not Pages 1, or any other app, so I can't attribute it to a screen going bad.
Hooked up an external CRT. The lime green text did NOT happen - either on the CRT or on the laptop if I moved the doc window to the other monitor.
Tried all the usual stuff: trash the .plist pref. file, reboot, repair permissions, etc.
Don't know if there is a solution. After reading the discussion on the Slow Performance post, I will probably just delete Pages 2 and stay with (mostly) AppleWorks & Pages 1. (I have InDesign for page layout. - Maybe Apple is expecting too much from what should be a high-performance word processor. - Oh for the MacWrite Pro days - simple, easy, intuitive, fast, etc.)
This post is really just intended to inform Apple of the issue - Not sure I expect a solution.

Thank you for the advice on reaching Apple.
After I logged off, the posts relative to display resolution came to mind. My PowerBook was set to "thousands of colors" - hopefully to conserve battery when not plugged in. I changed it to "millions of colors," and it looks like the green text problem is solved. Also set the PB to Best Performance, but with a time frame for the display to sleep.
Will spend more time with Pages06 to determine if these settings also speed it up.
I like the OSX and iPhoto, etc., integration features of Pages, so hoping the performance issues can be solved.

  • Satellite A300-202 - External display turned a strange color

    Hi,
I have a Satellite A300-202 with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650, and after upgrade from vista to windows 7, my external display turned a strange color, seemed to lose the red color. Never show the white color, in which should show the white color shows the color blue.
I have uninstalled and installed again the graphic card drivers and update the new drivers but dont solved this trouble. My external monitor it's ok because I have tried with other laptop and don't have this trouble. I have also tried my laptop with other monitor and have the same trouble.
Anybody ever had this problem, someone who can help me?
    Thanks,

    Hi Xardas,
Yes I have problems only with the external monitor.
I tried both. Now I have the new beta version to the windows 7 64bits, downloaded from the amd/ati site, but I have tried also with the version available in the toshiba drivers page to my A300-202, and had the same problem.
Yes I have installed the new version of the BIOS too.
    Thanks,

  • I can't calibrate any color profile for my iMac's display!

I think I accidentally deleted the color profile for my iMac's display
and now it won't let me calibrate any profile! All the colors are bright and washed out.
When I go to the display>color preference panel I get an error sound whenever I click ANY color profile, and it doesn't load. When I click "calibrate" it gives me the message: "Can not calibrate the display. The factory profile for the display could not be found."
But I wasn't even using the factory profile, and it won't let me choose any other ones, either (though a whole list does show up!)
I tried repairing/verifying the profiles in the ColorSync Utility, but it didn't help.
Is there somewhere I can download the profile and install it? I'm running a white 20" Core Duo 2GHz iMac (summer of 2006), if that helps.
    Thanks!

    seenew,
I'm wondering if you would have any luck with resetting the PRAM? PRAM settings hold some of the display preferences I believe.
See: "Mac OS X: What's stored in PRAM"
If not, I am wondering if reapplying the Combo update for 10.4.7 might correct the display calibration issue or at least return it to the default?
I don't think that recreating the .plist file for displays will help.
As far as I know you cannot "download" the profile.
sorry if those suggestions don't help,

  • [SOLVED] Opera browser displaying strange colors

After the most recent intel driver update my Opera browser is displaying very strange colors:
However, it's the only application that seems affected by the change. Everything else displays colors properly. Perhaps the package suffered some sort of corruption (the opera package that is)? Any ideas on steps to correct this?

What is your graphics card? The default acceleration method is now SNA, which used to be UXA. You can force UXA as stated here:

There seems to be some bug here, the same as the other thread about conky color issue seems to point to.

  • Payslip display issue for retro periods of a wage type

    Hi,
we have an issue with payslip display for the rate field of an wage type.
we are genaearting the amount of a wage type 2000 using T511K constant. and we have changed the Rate of this constant in the mid of pay period.
if we have split in WPBP then we are getting payslip display for old and new rate. which is fine.
however if we don't have WPBP split for retro periods then payslip is clubbing the old and new rates hence the diaplay is wrong.
ex: wrong dispaly for retro periods (08/2009 one record with RTE as 6 and for 09,2009 another record with RTE as 6)
    wage type          rate             number      amonut
2000                   12                2                12      (rate should be 6 however it is diaplaying 12 as taking rate of 08 & 09,2009         periods where it is comg as 6+6=12 which is wrong)
    right dispaly should be
    wage type          rate             number      amonut
    2000                    6                   2                12      (rate should be 6, i.e 6*2=12)
    Thanks
    Gayathri

    Hi Gayatri,
First check the values in payroll log or RT table. If its displaying correctly in RT table and if its problem with Payslip, then ask the abaper to debug the program.
Also check the WPBP table in RT table, because as you told that if there are any changes in the mid of the month, then the amount may split.
And if you have written any PCR for this, then check the PCR, whether its overwriting with any values.
    Just check the above points.
    Thanks & Regards

  • I have a Samsung HD TV and I purchased a Mini Display port to HDMI Adapter today. For some strange reason I get no display on my HD tv. I even tried switching a few HDMI cables and nothing popped up. I made sure my computer was updated. Help pls

I have a Samsung HD TV and I purchased a Mini Display port to HDMI Adapter today. For some strange reason I get no display on my HD tv. I even tried switching a few HDMI cables and nothing popped up. I made sure my computer performed all software updates, and I even tried calling Apple Support. They just told me to keep trying different hdmi cables and see if anything pops up. Does anybody know what the problem is? My HDMI cable is from "rocketfish" also my display port is too.

You may have the screen refresh rate set higher than the TV is generally able to track reliably. It may be able to get there most times, but occasionally loses sync because it is out of its nominal range.
I suggest you sit down with the manual for the TV and find out what resolutions at what refresh rates it intends to support through VGA, and make sure your screen settings are near (or below) those limits.
