Stream video for DMP 4310G

Hello, all!
Can I start playing a streaming video using the DMP 4310G?
I try to broadcast via VLC (RTSP)
In the Web interface of DMP choose the item "Media playback", choose Rtsp, I press Start. The player does not react.

Hi Ivan,
I'm afraid it's not that simple to get a DMP to play a video over RTSP, because the DMP only supports specific formats.
You have some suggestions on how to get a streaming scenario working at the link below:

I hope this helps

How pinnacle can be used for streaming video for mac app?

    Hi naturalfemale,
As mentioned in the referring article, closed captioning content has to be specifically added/enabled to a video for closed captioning to function:
    Additional Information
Not all videos include caption or subtitle tracks. Check the documentation for the video you are using to see if it includes these features.
OS X: Using captioning features in Mavericks

At the moment, I do not believe there is an option for universal captioning.

Maryrhire910 I am sorry that you are facing difficulty downloading and installing Photoshop Elements 12.  Are you downloading the installation files from Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10?  If so what specific error are you receiving?

  • Does Captivate 7/8 support *Dynamic* Streaming Video for synchronized Multi-Slide videos?

I'm experimenting with inserting Streaming Video into Captivate Lessons.  I've set up an Adobe Media Server (AMS) to stream the video.
When inserting Multi-Slide Synchronized video, it's not clear whether/how I can insert a Dynamic Streaming Video link in a synchronized Multi-Slide Video.
(The Dynamic videos can switch between videos of varying quality based on the user's available bandwidth.)
I think you're supposed use a URL that points to a manifest file (.F4M), which catalogs the videos of varying bitrates.  However, I can't seem to get it to work in Captivate and Adobe is a little vague on how/if one references the manifest file. (i.e. I can't find any examples.)
So, does Captivate support dynamic streaming video?
If not, which is more robust in Captivate? HTTP progressive download or regular (non-Dynamic) RTMP Streaming Video?

    Thanks Erik.
We did some more tests/checking-around and have convinced ourselves that the URL needs to point to the manifest file in order for Dynamic Media Streaming to work.
When we examined the Adobe Media Server sample web page (below), we found buttons to select different media sources.
The 'Multiple Bitrate' button under RTMP Dynamic Streaming Sample is mapped to the URL of an F4M (manifest) file.
The 'Single Bitrate' button is mapped to an individual mp4 file.
We also found more clues in the FlowPlayer RTMP F4M page.
Also, I'm guessing that Captivate can't handle adaptive bitrate streaming from non-RTMP sources based on the menu options. (See screen capture below)
If the menu above is correct, the first choice is the opposite of streaming media, because it says 'Progressive Download'.  (Progressive download caches the video file on the client machine.)
The next one is for private Adobe Media Streaming and the third is for 3rd-party Adobe Media Streaming services.
So, I'm pretty much convinced that it's not supported.

  • Streaming Video for Windows Media Player?

You are going to need to have two versions of the video file. One for Mac Quicktime users and one for WIndows Media Player users.
WMV Studio Pro looks like it could meet your needs.
    http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv.htm
However you will need a Windows Media Server to stream the WMV file otherwise it will act as a download only.

  • Looping previously streamed video for playback

I am using QT Broadcaster and i-sight on a Powerbook G4 to stream a series of short (15 - 20 minute) videos. I want to be able to replay and loop the .mov files after each live stream so that the project accumulates. Anybody know how I can do this without paying $500 for the server?QTSS?
    Thanks!

    Try this:
    Darwin Streaming Server 5.5
For Mac OS X 10.3.9 and later.
    http://developer.apple.com/opensource/server/streaming/index.html
Same as QTSS...more or less...There is a free version of QTSS. But it is an earlier version of above.

  • Streaming video for web

I recently created my first website and created a transitioned jpeg slideshow in IMovie to show on the home page immediately when the page loads. Originally, I exported it using custom settings (sized to fit my page and prepared for standard web server) and it worked fine but then I noticed my server now offers streaming so I decided to pursue that thinking that it could somehow make it faster to load for people with slower connections.
I exported again from IMovie (custom size,mpeg-4, 12 frames per second, prepared for internet QT streaming), then uploaded it to the streaming folder indicated by my server, rewrote the code for the page and tried it out but something's wrong. It shows the QT box loading and then is replaced by the initial pic in the movie but then either nothing else happens or it plays really really slow or really choppy. In trying to figure out what went wrong, I found info on my server that the movie is supposed to be hinted using Quicktime so I tried saving the movie compressed but not prepared for web, then opened in QT Pro and exported it as hinted but it doesn't seem to have helped at all. I assume that saving it in IMovie as "streaming" would be the same as saving as "hinted" but thought I'd give that a shot just to make sure.
The question is...does this sound like some issue with the streaming server or the movie itself? I'm thinking I should just switch back to the standard movie playing from my home page since it seemed to work okay, (aside from the annoying ActiveX thing people seem to be running into) but the idea of streaming sounds better? LOL Any suggestions? BTW - this is an image only slideshow.
I've been spending COUNTless hours trying to figure this one out so any help from someone more in the know would save my remaining sanity.

True "Streaming" requires more than just adding "hint tracks" (required for streaming downloads).
You (your server) must also use Streaming server software like:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/streamingserver/
QuickTime movies require "hint tracks" for streaming.
    My suggestion?
Don't add any level of "features" that your files don't require.
If "regular" (HTTP) works for you why add the headaches of "streaming" media delivery?
Adding "hint tracks" to regular QuickTime files (served via HTTP servers) only makes the file size larger (sometimes up to 20%) and doesn't "do" anything if served without streaming server software.

  • Two PCs on two places, both with iTunes using same AppleId. Streaming videos for iPad

    Hi everybody.
I'm living in two places, both of them equiped with PCs, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows XP (nobody's perfect !). They run last version of iTunes with same Apple Id.
As one is the backup of the other, both of them have all the videos I'd like to broadcast on may iPad (not enough place, so no download). Some of them are TV shows I bougth, other one are personnal videos.
All was perfect on the first PC (the one running Windows 7) until I activate the same setups on the second one. Now I can broadcast personnal videos from that PC, but I can't anymore on the first one : when I open Videos (the application) on iPad, the only thing I see on the menu is "TV show", witch allow me to download (not broadcast) from Internet the show I'd like to see, but I don't see the "shared library" I used to see before.
    Anyone has an idea ?

  • Live stream video bad for computer?

anybody knows if its a problem for the computer to be watching live stream video for a long time?
it does seem to get very hot.

I've been watching live streaming almost every night since the middle of April. Only recently have I noticed that sometimes the mbp does get hot. I notice the tendency to get hot is if I have other websites on my browser besides the one for the live streaming.
Sometimes if I can watch the live stream via QuickTime (similar to windows media link) that helps a great deal, and does not run hot, and the stream is better.

  • Only part of a Y/T video will load; NRK (Norway) streaming video won't start at all.

When watching a YouTube video, the download works for a minute or so, then halts. Once the playing reaches the limit it pauses as if waiting for buffering. It never resumes playing.
With streaming video, for example from NRK:
    http://www.nrk.no/nett-tv/hastighet.aspx?retururl=%2fnett-tv%2fklipp%2f630189%2f
    - the video will not load at all.

you can use the seek method to start play from cp x.  unless you're using a streaming server likefms or redhat, you must wait until the video has loaded up to cp x.
you can use a cp listener to check when cp y has been reached.
you can control the seekbar if you make your own.  ie, you can't use the flvplayback seekbar.

  • Storing streaming video in OrdVideo

    Hi,
I have looked through the documentation and some examples, but am still wondering whether the URL used for a HTTP data source has to have a file name in it or it can be just a URL with no file name (a true video streaming server).
Also, if a streaming URL can be used, how does Oracle know when to stop streaming? i.e I may only want to store streamed video for 5 minutes, or 10 minutes etc.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    MH

I have placed a SWF in my base PDF document and packaged it as an ebook. Video does not play. I do have the poster image of the video visible but I am not able to start the video. There is no active area on the video for me to do anything. Is there any document I have missed that explains how to embed a video into an ebook?
There are a number of different opotions in flash to generate a SWF file for imported video such as:
    - Loading a video with playback component
    - Embedding a FLV in SWF and play in timeline
None of these options work for me.
If anybody has been successful at this, please let me know the procedure. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Watch streaming video in konqueror

Is it possible to play streaming video (for example the trailers from apple.com) within konqueror? I tried installing mplayer-plugin and kaffeine, but neither of them were able to do the trick? Has anyone been able to get this working? Thanks in advance

I didn't try real, because I never watch them anyway, but they do work. Quicktime and wmv stll don't. When I try to watch a wmv I get an embedded kmplayer windows, but the status bar says 'stopped playing' and I can't convince it to say sth else.
Basically same story with quicktime movies
i tried this trailers and they work (thanx, now my computer is a movie station ... it is laggy because of my bad connection, but very cool)
make sure, you are using the mplayer-part of the kmplayer ... the thing is: per default, it tries to play movies with xine-engine and fails!!! you need to switch this in the settings of kmplayer to use default mplayer as engine, then it works fine
by the way: are there some whole movies on the internet? (of course open like free like gratis and non-paying nothing ;-)  ... i had a look at creative commons, but there are only some short or/and old american movies there ... mostly propaganda and politics stuff ... i'm searching for something like shoutcast for video (shoutcast is for radio stations from the internet))

  • Streaming videos from WebCenter Content

    Hi!
I'm looking for a solution, to stream videos (for a HTML5 Player, that will be shown in Portal).
The RealNetwork-Solution is no longer available. QuickTime Streaming server requires MacOS I guess. What other solutions are available? What about the prizing?
    Thanks! Volker

  • Quicktime Pro 7.0.3 Streaming Video and HD not working

How do I enable the streaming video for web sites to play in the webpage? All I see is a broken file image in the window where the movie should be playing.

It appears you either don't have the QuickTime plug-in installed or it is turned off.
The page worked fine for me.
Your version of Internet Explorer is showing an "image" placeholder and, obviously, QuickTime is a .mov file.
    http://movies.apple.com/movies/paramount/missionimpossible_3/mission_impossible_3-tlr1h.640.mov
Open QT Player, Open URL (File menu) and paste the link above. If it plays QuickTime works. Paste the URL in a different browser and see if it works. If it does then the QT plug-in works which means the issue is with IE.
I would throw IE off my PC and get a real browser.
