Stylus Studio dumps BDB for TigerLogic?

Previous versions of Stylus Studio® included integrated support for Berkeley DB XML, to provide integrated data access tools and XQuery processing facilities for Berkeley DB XML directly within Stylus Studio® XML Enterprise Suite. This functionality has been discontinued as of Stylus Studio 2007 Release 2. The following information is provided for users of older versions of the product.
We looked at Tiger - and found it "wanting". ... did we not look hard enough?
This stinks that SS has elected to drop the project. I was really looking forward to tight integration with my tools.
Does anyone know why this happened?

I don't want to go into the whole business of XML editors here, but here's a comment for Walt:
We looked at Stylus Studio and Oxygen, among a range of others, and opted for a different, comparatively new entrant instead (Syntext Serna, see www.syntext.com). The main reason for our choice was its more sophisticated WYSIWYG functionality which is important in our context (Serna lets you use XSLT and XSL-FO to build the editing interface yourself if you're not using an already-supprted vocabulary like DITA or Docbook), but it also lets you extend the functionality of the editor itself with Python or C++ plugins.
If that's the sort of possibility that would interest you then have a look at their site and perhaps contact their developers. There are some links to the API and so forth here:

Not in class path - XSLT Mapping using Stylus studio

Hello,
I am using Stylus studio for XSLT mapping. I have written a JAVA function and when I tried to execute, I am getting an error " ...... not inclasspath".
I have put JAVA file in the classpath as expained in the Stylus studio help documentation.
Can anyone help me on how to place the Java class file in the proper class path and how that java file has to be called from main XML program.

Stylus Studio: EDI-XML Conversion

Hello all,
I wanted to convert EDIFact and X12 files in appropriate .xml and .xsd.
However while using Stylus Studio for this i am encountering some problems.
File-> New-> Convert to XML. In this i used appropriate EDI format .txt file to convert. I simply go by default options and . After conversion if try to see preview it ask's to save in .conv format. !
Also File-> Doc Wizard-> EDIFACT to XML Schema where to find the correct version and whether to tick mark the below check boxes.
I am new to EDI. I tried searching for it but didnt got appropriate answers. Kindly help

Calling stylus studio in xi

hi,
I have a "EDI 850-XI-R/3" scenario. I have planned to use stylus studio to convert the EDI 850 into XML format.
My question is if I can call this conversion by stylus studio directly from XI, isctead of first converting it and then again using XI to transform it and post it in R/3.
It would be great if someone can giv me some other suggestion also......

Installation Problem Visual Studio Express 2013 for Web on Windows 8.1

I am new to Microsoft developing tools and I have spent the last two days trying to install VS Express 2013 for Web on my laptop that's running windows 8.1 (X64,Intel
Core i5 3337U (1.80GHz)).
I run it as an administrator and have enough space on the disk. However, I keep on getting the same error.
Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Web - ENU Fatal error during installation.
After uninstalling and deleting the temp files, I get an additional error.

It maybe a registry or administrator issue.
Please install VS with administrator.
What's more, it maybe a corrupt registry issue. And you can't install any version of Visual Studio, I think you can use the tool to fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled. It also can fix the corrupted registry keys.

No JavaScript Intellisense in Visual Studio Express 12 For Windows Phone

I'm developing mobile app for windows phone using Windows phone 8 SDK (Visual Studio Express 12 For Windows Phone). I want to use code auto-Complete facilities when coding in Javascript. For that I need to use Intellisense for JS.
According to my knowledge, To configure Intellisense according to my knowledge,It have navigate to the [Tools] > [Options] > Text Editor > JavaScript > IntelliSense >
But in my [Tools] > [Options] > Text Editor > list there is No item called JavaScript.
Please help me for solve this.

I try to test it in my side, I could get the JavaScript Text Editor in my side.
So I doubt that it would be your VS IDE issue. If possible, please download it from the official site here:

Visual Studio 2013 Express for Windows - InitializeComponent() does not contain a definition issue

Hi,
I have recently downloaded Visual Studio 2013 Express for Windows (Windows Store App version), with Update 1.
I create a blank app. I right-click on InitializeComponent() in the MainPage.xaml.cs and select Go To Definition. It brings me to the .g.i.cs file where this method resides.
I go into the designer for MainPage.xaml and create a grid of 2 rows and 2 columns (all at 1*). I add one button, doesn't matter where. I double click on that button to add a click method to MainPage.xaml.cs. Without entering anything into the button click
method, I scroll up and InitializeComponent() has an error and tells me there is not definition, even though I was looking at the definition a minute ago. I found I could unload the project and reload it and InitializeComponent() would have the definition
in the .g.i.cs file but as soon as I add another button click or anything else I run into the same error. It seems as if the .g.i.cs file is not automatically regenerating, or it is being deleted all together when the button click method is added to the xaml.cs
file.
Everything I have done up to this point is very vanilla. I installed VS '13 Express for Windows, didn't change any VS setting, created a project and ran into this issue. I installed Update 1 thinking there might be a fix from the update--no luck. The xaml
file Build Action is Page and the Xaml.cs file is Compile.
I have tried deleting the MainPage.xaml file, after the creation of a project, and adding a new MainPage file with the added templates VS wants to include, and I still run into the same issue.
I have searched for answers the past few days but haven't found anything that addresses my issue (most of what I found addresses VS '10 but their InitializeComponent() issues aren't the same as mine). Any help the MSDN community can provide would be
a great help. If worst comes to worst, I will re-install VS and see if that corrects it--this would be a last-ditch effort though.

Intellisense has a bug in VS2013 where it doesn't recognize InitializeComponent when you start working on the XAML. My feeling is that if you try to compile this app, it will run fine (as long as there are no actual errors).

exists in the non-express version of Visual Studio (if I'm not mistaken). So I think I'd need a tutorial on how to do the actual SQL, unless there is some tool I don't know about.

According to your description, if you install SQL Server SQL Server 2014 Express and SQL Server Manager Studio tools (SSMS), if you want to create a view, you can use SSMS. Then if you want to connect to and Diagram your SQL Express Database in Visual Studio
2013, you can attach the database file by using the .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Server in Visual Studio, and create a database diagram via expanding the “Database Diagrams” node.

Thank you for your reply. However, I could not get Templates to work correctly for me. Following your instructions, I opened my document, opened Page Setup, set the printer, paper size, orientation, and printed a copy to make sure it was right. Then I re-opened Page Setup to verify that the settings were still correct. Then I saved the document as a Template. Then I found my template in Pages, opened the template, and tried to print. The first thing I noticed was that the template did not remember my printer. Then I set the printer, and printed, but I found that the template also did not remember the page size or the document orientation. So, did I miss a step here? Lion 10.7.5 and Mac Mini.

NI Measurement Studio UI components for Visual Basic 6.0 message box

Hey All,
North West Quality Analyst was recently installed on my LabVIEW development machine. Whenever I launch NWQA I get a dialog box to install "NI Measurement Studio UI Components for Visual Basic 6.0" for program called "Program Name."
I cancel out of the install and I can use NWQA just fine. However, I would like to eliminate the install attempt. Any ideas on how to do that?
I've tried to find the installer file on the Distribution discs, but on the two that I thought it would be on, "Measurement Studio Enterprise Support for Visual Studio 6.0" and "Measurement Studio Enterprise Edition" the file named "MStudioUIDemo.msi" was not found.

The Dell box is running Window's 2000.
I found a listing under "Computer Management" -> System Information -> Software Environment -> Loaded Modules
that seems to have all the installed apps and such. I can send that to you privately if you desire.

According to the error message "User cancelled installation" and the log "Process exited with code 1602", it seems that it is you cancelled the installation that cause the install fail. Is that true? If yes, please reinstall
it without cancelling it. You can take the following steps:
Download "Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime" from
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42513 .
Run the downloaded vstor_redist.exe with admin.
