Subject & Message content in emails from XI

All,
We need to send an email from the XI system. The message that we use is the following,
<target>
<name> John Doe</name><designation>manager</designation>
<name> Mary Jane</name><designation>supervisor</designation>
<name> Foo Bar</name><designation>customer associate</designation>
</target>
we need to send the email with the message body as follows,
John Doe, manager
Mary Jane, supervisor
Foo Bar, customer associate
How do we strip the xml nodes from the message? Also currently this email has a subject of "Employee New Hire Report". How can we add the current date also to this subject ("Employee New Hire Report 07/21/2007") ?
Thanks.

If you requirement was only the mail with flat fields (no xml), then you could simply use Content Conversion Module (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/44/748d595dab6fb5e10000000a155369/frameset.htm) before your receiver mail adapter module.
But since you have the requirement for the date in the subject, you could try to use Mail Package (check this blog for a reference: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/07/mail-adapter-xi--how-to-implement-dynamic-mail-address).
With simple logics within your message mapping, you could have your subject with date and the content field as required (for line feeds in UDF, use "\n" character in the concatenated string).
Regards,
Henrique.

  • Load x# of messages when sending email from my pop account

    Hi
I'm getting a "load x# of messages" when sending email from any address on my pop account. No problem receiving messages from other accounts. Is there a setting that can remedy this?
    Thanks

My z10 is going back today, for multiple reasons
    Contacts won't sync across
Won't work properly with my car when all previous BBs did
Lots of useful features have disappeared
But most importantly NONE of my email accounts will send mail from it when they all did previously with the Storm2.
A big thumbs down from me for the z10 even if it is a fancy looking phone and the browser is much better. I stuck with BB because I wanted a tool not a toy

I have an iMac desk top, iPad, and two iPhones. Someone (a family relative) has somehow copied text messages, and possibly emails from our iPhones, and sent them to other people. He has had access to my wife's iPhone numerous times. Can I check our iPhones to detect any surveillance apps(bugs) on them?

Whose Apple ID are you using? It sounds like whoever co-opted the account may have changed the security questions as well.
    Follow the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5665
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

  • Can I enter a subject line into automated emails from the web?

    Hi everyone
I'm setting up a button on my website to enable visitors to subscribe to my mailing list.
The button opens up a new email, addressed to me, which the visitors will send back to me, thus giving me their email address.
Is there any way I can fill in the subject line for these emails so it says something like "Add me to your mailing list".
I suppose it's a bit like when you email photos from iPhoto and the subject line e.g. "10 great photos" is already filled in.
    Would really appreciate any advice.
    Thanks in advance

You need to break it down into several pieces:
    1. An event that causes mail to be sent.
    2. Creation of the content to include in the mail.
    3. Creation and sending of the mail message.
JavaMail will help you with #3. The rest are up to you.
JavaMail comes with several examples that show you
how to create a mail message and send it, given the
email address of the recipient, the content, the mail
    server address, etc.
There's also pointers to many documents and tutorials
that will help you learn JavaMail. See the JavaMail
web site. And don't forget to read the FAQ.
If you have more specific questions, feel free to
    post them here.

Since Entourage is not an Apple product you should post your question on Microsoft's own forums for Entourage as they are more focused on the issue than a forum for Apple's own Mail application:

  • Nokia Messaging not deleting emails from Gmail ser...

When I access my gmail account via Nokia Messaging on my E72, any emails that I delete using my nokia are not deleted from my gmail account - instead they are being transferred to my All Mail folder, which is where I keep email that I have ARCHIVED, not email that I have deleted, so it's messed up my archived mail and also means that when I access my gmail via POP in Outlook, items that I have previously 'deleted' on my mobile have to be downloaded and sorted through again. Is there a way to change this behaviour? At the moment the gmail app is a better option.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me (E75). I created an extra label. I also subscribed in imap to this folder. When I want to delete a message, I move it to this folder / label. Every now and then I delete all these mails from gmail on my PC.
    Suyogmh wrote:
This is well known behavior of Gmail and not problem with Nokia Messaging as such.
Gmail has different way of handling emails with labels instead of folders. So "All Mails" means all mails except Spam and Trash. Check following link for more details.
    http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en &answer=77657
Check if following settings are in order in Gmail - settings - forwarding and POP/IMAP in web browser.
    Status: IMAP is enabled
Auto-Expunge : Do not automatically expunge messages
When a message is expunged from the last visible IMAP folder:  Immediately delete the message forever
Folder Size Limits: Do not limit the number of messages in an IMAP folder
Now head over to email.nokia.com and login with your username/pwd
Under My Email Addresses, for your gmail account , click edit settings
Now in "Mail folders to sync" Please ensure that you select "All Mail" , "Spam" and " Trash"
You can also select other labels , max upto 10.
Click Save changes and log out.
Now in your Nokia Phone, Open Nokia Messaging and Sync again.
Go to Gmail and these new labels should appear there.
If you want to delete a message from all folders, move it to the [Gmail]/Trash folder.
If you delete a message from [Gmail]/Spam or [Gmail]/Trash, it will be deleted permanently.
So I know it's little extra effort but we can do it. I hope you find this useful. If yes, don't forget to give me Kudos

  • I want to change subject line and save emails from others

For instance my client may respond to an email question and I want to change the subject line because it includes an answer such as clients address, but I cannot figure out how to change the subject line and save it to my file folder I have for them.

This add on claims to do that.

There might be others but that is the first one that came up. I have never used it so I cannot speak for how well it works.

    Hi,
Are you using the Adobe e-mail client service on a Windows system?
That was a problem introduced at version 10.
The only way around it is to use something like Notepad to compose your message. Then you can select the new text and use Ctrl & C to copy it to the clipboard. Next, go to the new message, highlight the text to be replaced and use Ctrl & V to paste in the new text.
The alternative is to switch to using Windows Live Mail as the e-mail client or buy version 13.

  • Move email from Inbox to Local Folder using Message Filter moves header only, not contents.

I created a Message Filter to move email from Inbox to a Local Folder based on Date. The email headers were moved, but not the contents. Since I'm using IMAP, all the emails were deleted from the server.
I searched for similar problems and I followed one suggestion to "repair" one of the target Local Folders, but that made things worse. Now the header information (Subject, From, Date (now set to the date the transfer was done, not the email received date) is all blank.
The Local Folder properties indicate the email is contained in
    mailbox:///C:/Users/Ted/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/c65xcqqf.default/Mail/Local Folders/Archives.sbd/2010
I can see the messages from other Local Folders here, but the ones "moved" are empty.
    Should this location be changed?

Five days ago I received an anonymous email with the subject:
Your Apple ID was just used to buy full album Elton John £12.99.Your receipt No.37930343160405752
The content started: Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 From:(my email address) followed by a very, very, very long stream of gobbledygook. There is no record of it in my i-tunes purchases or my credit card statement but that might only be because I have not updated my credit card details. Should I be worried that my account has been compromised? Does anyone know how I can get through to the right section of Apple to deal with this - all the emails I get say no-reply so I don't have an email address to contact them on.
I would be most grateful if anyone could help me with this.
    Thanks in advance
    Walwal

  • TS4002 not seeing folder names some email message content from Firefox log in to iCloud

Lately when I access my iCloud account I'm not see the Folder names and some emails are showing no content from Firefox on my work PC, though when I view Mail from my iPhone the folders and the email message content is there. It doesn't happen all the time though it is become a more frequent occurrence. What gives?

This is the result you get when you try to sign into the iCloud Control Panel on Windows with an Apple ID which hasn't been used to set up an iCloud account, since you cannot set up an account on Windows. Once an account is set up elsewhere you should be able to log in perfectly well.
Forgive me for asking, but are you absolutely sure you are logging in with the right ID? Many people have separate IDs for iCloud and iTunes and it's easy to get them confused: so this is the first thing you should double-check.
Have you recently purchased additional Storage? Someone who had found that he was unable to log in in Windows until he had gone to the preference pane on his Mac and confirmed that extra storage there - I've not idea why that should be the case.

    Great help so far!
Hello, see how many of these you can answer...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?
