Hello,
I have designed a number of forms for my company which are quite basic but i want to be able to create a Radio (Submit) button to automatically update a CSV file.
I know there is a feature for being able to merge multiple documents into a file but i would for a button to be able to do this automatically
Is there a way with javascript?

I would look at using a button.
Radio buttons are for making a single selection from a group of options.
You cannot export a CSV file from a PDF only a tab delimited text file.
Merging multiple PDFs into one PDF is problematic with PDFs.

Hi Blake ,
There is an option of adding a button to a PDF .Follow these steps to add a button.
Tools>Interactive Objects>Add a Button.
Choose a place on the PDF where you want the button to be.
Click on button properties on the dialog box that will appear.
Click on the action tab to set a specific task that will be performed after clicking on the button.
See the choices and let us know if that suits your requirement .

Help! Using GUI button to update text file

Desperately needing help on the following:
As you will see, I have created two classes - one for reading and writing to a text file on my hard drive, and one for the GUI with two buttons - Display and Update. The Display button works perfectly in that it displays text from a file path. The Update button, however, does not work correctly. I seek for the Update button to update any edits to the same exact text file I view using the Display button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to update csv file dynamically from Catalog manager

HI - In OBIEE we used to generate report statistics into csv files from Catalog manager.But this task should be automatic or dynamic process.So it means that each and every when catalog get changes that information will be captured into CSV file by dynamic way. To achieve this process we should have one script or batch etc.............
Your help is highly appreciated.

Yes we can achieve this by enabling Usage Tracking.
Create a report with all the columns you need and schedule the report using Agents with some time frame say like EOD everyday.There we can see what all the changes as done to the catalog.

I HAVE 3 .CSV FILES WHICH ARE MY INPUT
1. TRUE FILE
2. LIMIT FILE
3. REFERENCE FILE
I want to compare limit file and true file and delete some columns from true file and for rest of the columns calculate mean,standard deviation how do I approach the problem

if possible, best thing would be bring the contents to staging tables and do comparison in sql. This would have the advantage of ability to apply set based logic and would be much better from performance perspective rather than trying to do this directly
from the file.

Submit button has a dreamweaver file attached not PDF

Hi, I am creating a form with a submit by email button. I got it working with the distribute function but cannot get it to work without it using the distribute function. How do I get this button to return my form? Also my files show up in a XML format not PDF? Your help would be greatly appreciate. I am using Adobe 8.1.5.

Working with CSV files in Numbers 09

I'm able to import CSV files into Numbers '09 but the CSV file has multiple categories in each column. I want to SUM just one section and put the result in a summary chart but don't how to limit the SUM to just one of the groups in the column. The number of the rows is constantly changing with each import but the data that I want to use is always in column G. I would like to be able to just import the updated CSV file without having to manual select the cells I want to use each time. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you took care to use the Numbers's vocabulary, things would be easier.
You import datas upon vehicle 1 in table 1, not in sheet 1.
If you really use the import feature, you will get a new table name each time so the formula would be different each time.
The good practice would be to create a table with 11 columns for each vehicle.
In every cell of column K (the 11th one), the formula would be:

Then, import the CSV,
copy the newly created table's contents and paste it in the table dedicated to the vehicle.
Delete the table created during the import process.
Doing that,
the cell dedicated to vehicle 1 in "Vehicle Expense Summary" would be :

Problems with "Submit" button on simple PDF form.

I have searched, but perhaps not searching forums correctly to find my answer as this seems like it should be easy to fix (she said hopefully).
I have created a simple, offline PDF form for an event registration.
I have fields all done, set it up to email back a simple FDF from the client with a Combo Box "Submit" button.
When the client fills in the fields and hits "Submit" button, she gets:
"The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
I created this in Adobe Acrobat 9.
Client is filling in using Windows XP.
I have extended release, no security, etc.
Is there something simple I am missing?
Have been able to get this to work before.
But now, not so much!

Data-Driven test : Compilation should be avoided while running tests in batch when .csv file inputs changed to use them in script

I am running Data-Driven test on different machines with different input values in .CSV file in batch mode.we are facing following problem:
Test not considering modified values in .CSV file until we recompile the test.
Is there any way to avoid this dependency of compilation after updating .CSV file???

Assuming the CSV is part of the Visual Studio solution. Open the properties panel for the CSV file from solution explorer. Set "Copy to output directory" to "Copy if newer" or to "Copy always". Some documents recommend
"Copy if newer" but I prefer "Copy always" as occasionally a file was not copied as I expected. The difference between the two copy methods is a little disk space and a little time, but disks are normally big and the time to copy is normally
small. Any savings are, in my opinion, far outweighed by being sure that the file will be copied correctly.

Hi,
an easy solutuion would be if ypu could place the CSV file on a location which your database can access.
Access the CSV via an external table (CSV file can be accessed as if it was a readonly table ).
Create a dynamic action (PL/SQL) for the button which reads the external table and adds the data to your target table.

Submit button in Compressor disabled after update Pro Applications Update 2010-02

Dear all,
I recently bought FCS and the whole software works fine after installation. However, I had to use Compressor over the last couple of days and the submit button was completely disabled and in the cluster field the option this computer had dissapeard. I checked this forum for a solution and found it. It seems that the problem was Qmaster. After reinstalling both Qmaster and Compressor everything works again. I have use the following set of instructions:

The problem is that now each time I do a software update, I am asked to install the Pro Applications Update 2010-02. After installing this update, the problem occurs again (the submit button is grayed/greyed out). It seems that in my computer the update creates a problem.
Does anyone have the same issue and if so, what suggestion you recommend?. At the moment I am avoiding the update, but I may me missing important bug and other fixes.

I have experimented a bit and got the problem sorted. Iuninstalled FCS using the uninstaller from http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/.Before installing the whole suite again, I realised there was and additionalApple Qmaster package in the Applications folder. I deleted this file and emptythe trash. Then did a fresh installation of FCS, performed an update andinstalled Pro Applications Update 2010-02.
And now all is up and running workingperfectly.

Now I want to update the all fields in SAP table with the Internal table.
I want to use Update statement.
Update <table Name> SET <field needs to update> WHERE connditon.
I don't want to iterate through thousand on record in sap table to check the where condition.

You can pre-load all the records into another internal table

ant then you can do mass-update
update dbtab from table lt_dbitab.
From performance view, this solution should be much faster than iterating lt_csv directly and updating every single database record
