SubReports

Question

Hello,
I am trying to run two subreports on one report page. Each one subreport on one side of the paper such that data is printed on both the left and right sides of the paper.
Hence for one subreport I have
SELECT * FROM DBO.OHEM WHERE  (dbo.OHEM.empID % 2 = 0)
and for the other I have
SELECT * FROM DBO.OHEM WHERE  (dbo.OHEM.empID % 2 = 1)
Hence I should have employees with even numbers on one side and odd numbers olan another. However I get the problem where the first page is completely blank, and I have 66 pages. There are 66 employee in the OHEM master data. How do I resolve this error. I pass the two parameters month and year to filter information.

SELECT *
FROM
(SELECT * FROM OHEM T0 WHERE T0.empID % 2 = '0'
UNION ALL
(SELECT * FROM OHEM T0 WHERE T0.empID % 2 = '1')a
