Sum at the top of ALV

hi
ive calculated the sum of a field in ALV on a webdynpro page but the sum is appearing at the top of the ALV
is there a way so that it appears at the bottom of the ALV?

Use the method SET_AGGR_BEFORE_ITEMS of the interface IF_SALV_WD_FIELD_SETTINGS. Default value is the ABAP_TRUE.
Pass ABAP_FALSE to the method SET_AGGR_BEFORE_ITEMS.

you can use the large() function like this:

               I am having the field count .....in the ouput (iam using alv grid) .......which dispalys the id's which are identical .

Sum of a sum when using Top N in the Group Sort Expert

Hi All,
I have a small problem I can't quite seem to work out.
I have a report where each line is for a particular Product, and is a summation of the Sales for that Product over several Locations. When you click on the line, it shows the breakdown of Sales over each Location.
I use the Group Sort Expert to display the Top N results, where the 'N" is set in a formula to a parameter passed in to the report, so the user can select the top 5,10,50 etc. Products across all Locations.
At the bottom of the report, I want to have a sum of a column of Sales $. I need that sum to only be a sum of the Top N records selected.
Since each line is a summation of the all the products for the Locations, what I need is a sum of that sum for the Top N, but Crystal will not let you add the sum of a sum, so I'm not sure how to accomplish this.
If I just do a sum of the underlying values I get a total for all the Products, regardless of the Top N.

I tried your suggestion, thanks, but I don't think it's the answer. For a start Crystal will not let me do that, it pops up a message box when I try to run the report "A running total cannot refer to a print time formula. Details: Record Number". I also added the record number field next to the lines in the report to see what the result would be, and I don't think it would work anyway.
Here is an example using Units sold:

Note that only the bold lines are shown in the report,. If you click on the bold line, then the breakdown of the stores is shown. For the above example, I am showing the Top 2 units across all stores (so Product C is not shown at all), but there are actually 5 records, so if I used a formula where RecordNumber <=N, where in this case N=2, I would get a total units sold of 1 + 3 (records 1 and 2) which is incorrect.
I will have more of a think on this and see if I can find a solution, in the mean time, any other suggestions ? Is there some wya of checking if the line is visible maybe ?

Using ranking and sum to get top 5 products' share of total market

Hi everybody,
I have been playing around with ranking for a while now and I am stuck..
I have a crosstab where I want to show the top 5 products in a specific month. So I have month in my column and products in my rows. I applied a ranking based on revenue only showing the top 5 products. This works like a charm.
Now I would like to sum up the top 5 products' revenue and compare it with the revenue of all products in the market. I have managed to sum the top 5 products' revenue by using the "sum" function in the block, but I have not been able to compare this measure with a total market revenue measure. It seems like because I made the ranking on the top 5 products I cannot create a measure which includes more than these top 5 products and put it in that block.
Is this not something Webi can easily handle??

Thank for the suggestion. I forgot to mention that the month column is only showing one month. There is a filter on the month dimension, so that only one month is shown.
I tried using the In Report context, but it gave me wrong results... It seems like it included all months.. I also tried using the noFilter function, but it also gave me wrong results.

Now you have to use the method ADD_TEXT to populate the Select options details.
I hope you know the Function to get the selection details
RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS,. it will give into a table. so use that table and populate the TOP_OF_PAGE uisng the class CL_DD_DOCUMENT.

Dynamically summing up the numeric fields in ALV output

Dear all,
I had report which contains of the stock overview for a particular date based on materials. I am having the fields as
Plant Storage location Quantity
HC01 H14f   12
Hc01 H1w   13
Whenever the layout is selected as
Plant and Quantity . i have to get the output as
HC01 25
But if the option is based on storeage location
H14F 12
H1W 13
One thing the layout will be selected in the output of alv only the user will not run the report again.
Is there any option to this

As per i understand your question u want sum based on a particular field.
For that you first select the numeric filed for which you want sum and click on sum tab on screen .
After that select the field based on which you want subtotal.
Now beside Total tab there will be sub-total , just click on that and you will get the ouput in your desired form.

How to print the top of page part along with the ALV list and generate PDF

         I have created one ALV by using oops concept .
         and also am able to get the top of page where I have One standard logo on the right hand side
         and some details on the left side .
           Now my requirement is to while printing the list the logo and other top of page details should appear
           In the PDF output but currently while am pressing the print preview button only the alv data is coming
          am already using the method
    handle_top_of_page
      FOR EVENT print_top_of_page
             OF cl_gui_alv_grid,
may be am missing something ... How to get the top of page along with the logo printed ?

After generating the grid display click on print button,
a spool number is generated. capture the spool number and convert it to pdf using the fm:
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF and save the file

I need some help in hiding particular rows in an ALV Grid without affecting the total sum at the end of the table. I am trying to hide the rows that have negative quantities, but I still need those values so that the user can still compute for the total sums. Can anyone help? Thanks.
