Supplement Units of Measurement and Units of Measure
Hi All,
The company i work for, the WM system fabrics are stored in the Roll based form and in the QM module i have to create inspection lot for it. I found in the customizing "Supplement Units of Measurement and Units of Measure" which i think will help me in my process. Please explain the procedure for the "Supplement Units of Measurement and Units of Measure" in customizing.
Regards,
DTD

Acrobat Pro 9, measurement and units are wrong?
when I measure perimeter or area, and input the correct ratio from the blueprints of say .25" = 1 foot, the corresponding output from the tool is wrong...how to adjust the ratio so it's correct?
I have toggled the "use units from document" on/off, tried custom ratios but nothing seems to work.
Is this a problem, am I missing something?
Thanks, JimSkip this, I figured it out. Doh! Jim

Hello,
Can any one give some idea to do carrier phase measurement and Phase Noise measurement of any RF signal?
Regards,
VijayVijay,
A great example for measuring RF phase noise can be found in the LabVIEW Example Finder. The name of the VI is "MT RFSA Phase Noise.vi" This example performs phase noise density measurements on I-Q data acquired using RFSA. You may also want to take a look at Performing Modulation Measurements on Real-World IQ Data With Carrier Frequency Drift to see if phase measurement could be implemented: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=EEAFD63A09CD3B79E0340003BA7CCD71&p_node=200054&p_source=External
What type of RF signal would you be analyzing? Are you trying to measure phase shift of a carrier frequency that is varying with time?

Partner profile LI and unit of measure
Hi gurus,
I am experiencing a weird situation and probably you have any clue about it.
I have configured an output to send the Purchase order information via EDI. I have used the standard function and programs to create the output. I have created the condition record for that particular vendor and output.
Then i have created the LI partner profile in we20 with the vendor number and the message types ORDERS and ORDCHG and I have also included my output with the ME10 and the ME11 in each of the messages.
When i create the PO and the output is sent I have the PO number but then i have the standard error message " Update was terminated" with the error "There is no conversion factor for material and unit of measure !" I have reviewed the PO and i have used a UoM PC that i have as an ISO code.
the point is if I use a different LI partner profile with exactly the same information then the idoc is sent without any problem. I have deleted the partner LI that I orinally created and i created it again as a copy of the one that is working but without sucess.
I have reviewed the vendor master data...but all is exactly the same.
I think or there is some config missing or that I have created the partner profile incorrectly. But it is rare that the partner profile has any link to the UoM.
Do you have any idea what it can be?
thanks so muchI understand from your mail, you have maintained the ISO equivalence to your UOM. When you change your vendor in WE20, did you change that information in MN04? This is the place where the right output type is triggered.
Other than that make sure you configured all the necessary items in WE20 -> Outbound Parameters -> process code and all otehr necessary settings.
Let me know, how it works?

Units of measure and conversion factor
while executing a session, I get the message 'Please check units of measure and conversion factor', what does it indicate? there are fields like order unit, conversion (purchasing) in creating info records transaction ME11.
in bdc when ever u r working with quantity and price fields it is better to move this fields in to string and do the concatenation kind of stuff..............

Proposal.:.Multiple Purchase Unit of Measure and pricing
The objective of this message is to start a discussion around procurement unit of measure and pricing.
Currently, some of our clients are facing the following limitation:
- They stock an item in a specific unit of measure (let say metre)
- They buy in a different unit of measure (let say unit).
In this scenario, we have a conversion factor of 6 for example so when we order 1 unit, the system will stock 6 metres.
The issue is that the pricing in SAP Business One for procurement is expressed in stocking unit of measure. It means that we do not have any possibility to enter the price by unit. For example, if in my purchase price list I enter $10 for one unit, on the purchase order, SAP will calculate if I buy 1 unit: $10 x 6 = $60. This is obviously wrong.
The second issue is that I can buy the same product from 3 suppliers but in 3 different UoM (one supplier will sell it in unit, another one in metre and another one in pack of 10). The system can not accomodate this business scenario.
Regards,
Vincentquite late, but I faced the same issue with a window-maker company. They buy alumium bars (different lenghts) and keep them and worked them in meters.
What we do was use the Production module, and define a new BoM item (bar_meter), so when they buy 1 bar (6.4 meters) and they want to use it, they create a production order to create 6.4 new bar_meters. Then they used as many meters as needed to make the window.

Alternate unit of measure and its impact on CO module
Hi
We are in CPG company, our client has decided to use CAR (i.e. Carton) as base unit of measure and TO (tonnage) as alternate unit of measure. CO users and client management wants to run planning, allocation and CO-PA analysis in TO (tonnage).
Some of activities like cost estimates will be run using CAR. We have come to know that we might have to use COPA0005 enhancement.
We need to know how it will impact CO module as TO is not base unit of measure for finished goods?
Thanks in advance.
ChrisThanks Ajay for your reply. My point is that we need to know the impact on CO module because our Client will use CAR (carton) as base unit of measure and CO users have to use TO (tonnage) for planning, allocation, profitability analysis, etc.
We will define the UoM conversion relationship in material master, say 1 TON = 125 CAR.
We have come to know that cost estimate can only be run using base unit of measure (i.e. CAR) so client will have to run cost estimate using CAR.
What about other functionality like allocations, planning, CO reports, etc. What will be the impact on CO module as TO is not the base unit of measure and our client have to use TO for allocations, reporting, CO-PA, etc. -
Changing the measuring tool units and measurements
Hi,
When reading the PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro, how can I change the measurement units from inches to metric when using the measuring tool?
I have already been to Preferences and changed in Units and Guides the Page and Rules Units to millimeters but then, although the rulers do change to mm, the measuring tool (the red lines) still read in inches...I have also made sure the Measuring (2D) preferences show the 'Use Scale and Units from Documents' is checked.
Does anyone kow how I could get the measuring tool to give me the dimensions in metrics?
It would be truly great if anyone could clarify this. Thank you so much!I am sorry if I have wasted anyone's time. I have actually now found a solution.
Right clicked the page when the measuring tool was selected and chose 'change scale ratio'. However, I would have never thought that it was a ratio issue...
Thanks a lot, anyway. -
Standard Report for base Unit of measure & alternative unit

sandeepDear Mr Sabine
I observed that you have closed lots of thread without a proper solution. How can you do that? Or what propel you to close the thread? The closure should be done by the person who have created the thread. Till he/she gets a proper reply or the problem is resolved why to close. It may take some time, some days also. Delay reply should not be the reason for closure.
So please avoid from closing unilaterally. -

I want to create new measurement of unit for that field, then how can I create this with what T-Code.
Please help.

DebHi,
Try maintaining the view -V_T006D through SM30.
The view is already generated.

Setting Scale and Units in a PDF document
Hi,
I have a batch of architectural plans in PDF format. They have been generated from Autocad.
When I want to make measurements on them, I need to specify the scale in the dialog box.
In the Preferences > 2D Measures, there is an option tu use the document scale and unit if available.
My documents do not have them. How can I add a scale information to these plans ? (I have Acrobat 8 Pro).
Thanks
AstugevIf you only have a few to change, use the information on Deepak's link. It tells you how to use the Edit Object tool.
If you need to change a lot of them, you should really work on the original files - PDFs are not designed to be edited very easily. It's a simpler process in Acrobat XI but you still need to change each image by hand, one at a time.
Bill suggests exporting to Word (File > Save As > Microsoft Word) - that will give you editable content but will remove anything interactive about the PDF file and tends to mess about with formatting. It's very much a last resort option. -
OBIEE - Calculated Measure and Row values.
Date Dimension = Dim Date
Location Dimension = Dim Unit
Fact Table = Fact Unit Svc Capacity
The image linked below illustrates my problem.
Combined screenshots
The top screenshot is from MS Excel and shows the expected data for May 2012. Columns: Civic Campus, Nursing Units(A1, A2 and A3), Average Daily Bed Quota and Monthly Bed Quota. Average Daily Bed Quota is derived from two columns: Bed Quota / Days of the Month. Monthly Bed Quota is derived from Bed Quota(with SUM aggregation). The calculated values shown are correct.
The second, third and fourth screenshots are from OBIEE Analytics for the same time index. Columns: Year(2012), Month(May), Campus(C), Nursing Unit(A1, A2 and A3), Average Daily Bed Quota and Monthly Bed Quota. The calculated values here should match the values in the Excel screenshot. Only the A1 Nursing Unit values match.
The fifth and final screenshot is from OBIEE Analytics for the same time index. The Days of Month column was added to the Compound Layout. In this screenshot, the Average Daily Bed Quota is being calculated correctly for each unit.
The Average Daily Bed Quota expression is only calculating Nursing Unit A1 correctly. I tried modifying the expression for my Days of Month logical column. In the alternate view, with Days of Month column, I can see the desired, calculated values. I'm not certain what is causing the error.

Edited by: 968521 on Oct 31, 2012 7:46 AMYou need to have 'Is Prompted' for that specific measure. I would suggest to use action links on other columns instead of metrics.

Table for maintenance plan and maintenance cycle and Unit
Hello,
I need to know the table where the values are stored for maintenance plan, maintenance cycle and Unit.
I know that we can get the maintenance cycle and unit from MMPT table.
Question 1
If the maintenance plan has only a single cycle then the data is stored in above table MMPT, but if a maintenance plan has mutiple cycles like 1 maintenance plan has maintenance cycle as 364 Days and 1092 days then the data is not stored in MMPt table.
Question 2
Requirement is I need to develop a report where in I need maintenance order, maintenance plan and the relevant maintenance cycle and unit. Supose an maintenance order is created for the above maintenance plan which has 2 maintenance cycle how can I identify for which maintenance cycle the order is created.
