Supplier BP number on Cart entry screen (Sources of Supply / Service Agents

Hi,
Is it possible to get the system to allow the user to enter the supplier number instead on the supplier bp number on the Preferred Vendor field under Cart Sources of Supply / Service Agents?
Our user base are more familiar with the R3 numbers and get confused with the BP number. Any hints on exits or badis would be welcome!
Thanks.
Steve w.

1.) If you could replicate the Vendors from R/3 to SRM using "Transfer only R/3 numbers", then the system will allow you to use the R/3 numbers.
2) You can enhance the standard search help BBP_SOURCE_OF_SUPPLY (I suppose, but should be similar) with your own logic to retrieve the SRM BP number based on R/3 numbers.
Hope this helps.

  • Cannot see list of Product Categories in Shopping Cart entry screen

    Hi All,
I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this issue.
Although I appear to have sucessfully replicated the backend R3 Mat Groups into SRM Product Categories, as I can see them in the hierachy screen, i.e. Hierachy ID R3MATCLASS in trans code COMM_HIERARCHY, they are not appearing in my Shopping Cart entry screen Product Categories drop down.
I have looked in Org structure maintanance and can see two things that may be the root causes:
    (a) In 'Exended Attributes', if I select the Source System, I do not get the option to list the product categories in the match code box
(b). In the 'check' screem, the system is displaying the message 'Attribute ITS_DEST not yet defined'
Any feedback on how I can pull in the groups during cart entry would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Kathirvel,
I am not sure if this workaround is correct, but rather than using trans code BDLS as you suggested, I defined the logical system 'ABC' . This logical system was the assigned as a target system in 'Assignment of Logical Systems' under the product category customisation (table COMV_LOGSYS_MAP)
These changes subsequently allowed the drop down on the Org structure when selecting a Product Category in extended attributes, therefore making the list available in the web front end.
The IMG help text for COMV_LOGSYS_MAP says:
    Case 1
You have created the categories in your test system. They therefore have the logical system <SYSTEM_TEST>. So that the categories can also be changed once they have been transported into the production system, the categories must have the logical system <SYSTEM_PROD> in the target system.
    Maintain the following entry:
    Source <SYSTEM_TEST>
    Target <SYSTEM_PROD>
The logical system of the categories will be changed from <SYSTEM_TEST> to <SYSTEM_PROD>.
This appears to have resolved the issue. I would be interested to hear what you think,
    Many thanks , Steve,

  • Source of supply in shopping cart

    Hi everybody,
We are on SRM 5.0 (classic mode). When we create a shopping cart the system gets all the sources of supply from the backend system.
we need source of supply have to be suppressed all across any shopping cart other than catalog (like internal goods/services and describe requirment). In case of catalog, contract is assigned to the master catalog.
our requirement is in case of catalog items system should create a backend PO other than catalog items system need not to be find any source of supply from bakcend and it should alaways create backend PR only.
so i have  activated sourcing via vendor list and did'nt create any vendor list at all. This  ensure that no source of supply is assigned from the backend and also no source of supply assigned from the vendor list as well. so that in case of catalog, source of supply is assigned from catalog and its creating a backend purchase order but when i have changed the location or purchasing organization in shopping cart, system is reseting source of supply for the catalog items as well.
As a result for source of supply is cleaned for the catalog items also,
Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi
Which R/3 version are you using ? Please specify clearly, what you want to do ?
Incase i understand you correctly, you want to reset the Vendor details, coming from R/3 backend in the SRM side.
Have you tried implementing the Business Add-Ins to meet your requirement.
    Try implementing the BADIs
    <u>BBP_SOS_BADI
    BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI
    BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK
    BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE
    BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS</u>
Note -> first read the standard docuementation provided by SAP, before implementing the BADI using SE18 Transaction.
Alternatively, check whether these SRM configuration settings, might help you out as well.
    SRM SPRO Configuration settings
SPRO -> SRM -> Cross Application Basic settings -> Define Objects in Backend System(Purch reqs, Purchase orders, Reservations...........................)
For more details, refer to this link ->

  • PR - unable to assign source of supply

    Hi,
I have created purchase requisition and tried to assign source at "Source of supply" tab at item detailed section. But it's already graded (display only) out.
I have checked the "Screen Layout at Document Level" also. It was in optional mode only.
How can i make it as optional entry.
    Could you pls guide me.
    Thanks
    Anilkumar Dalai

    Hi,
What i can understand is that you have created a purchase requisition and now you want to assign a source for the item through auto source determination in PR change transaction(ME52n) by clicking on the assign source of supply tab in the item details in source of supply tab page.
If its so Pl. check in the check box " source Determination" at the top next to the PR No. and then try.

  • Source of Supply Error?

    Hi,
I am currently experiencing the following problem: (We are running SRM 5)
I replicate vendors from the R/3 system to SRM via BBPGETVD trans code.
I select the correct Object ID (for the Vendor Org structure I created in PPOCV_BBP)
I check that the Vendors have been replicated (They appear in Vendor Org structure – PPOMV_BBP)
BUT these newly replicated Vendors do not appear in the Source of Supplier when I try to assign them when creating a Shopping Cart?? It’s strange cos the previous batch of vendors I replicated worked fine and appear in the Source of Supply??
I’ve also run the business partner check transaction: BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE and checked that the Org units are synchronized. I have green lights for everything.
I’ve checked that the replicated vendor is mapped to the correct Purchasing Org, Manually in the Frontend (with Admin user via “Manage Business Partners”) and
via the Backend with trans code BBP_UPDATE PORG. The vendor is assigned to the correct Purch Org.
What am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Contact Catalog - Source of supply

    Hi,
We are with SRM 5.0, Classic scenario with MDM catalogs.
When i create the shopping cart from catalog, source of supply is assigning automatically with the vendor & Contract number.
And because of this, the vendor selected in the shopping cart differs from the vendor that got dispalyed with Purchase Requeistion in ECC.
Is this refers to Contract catalog ? How do i delete this so that it should not ddisplay automatically when ii transfer the items from catalog ?
More inputs on this is really appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks Muthu. As a work around, it worked
    I have one question :
User is trying to get the items from 'X' catalog. This 'X' catalog has 4 suppliers having their different prodct Group.
What i found(analysis) is, for one particualr group 'TLXXXX'  whichever material is assinged, when we get back to SRM, they are coming as 'Agreement' in source of supply.
How this is been set up actually ? As per material group ? or  ?
If so, how could we delete this contract ?
    Please explain.
Many thanks for taking ur time and 4 explanation.

  • Source of Supply in PR not filled correctly

    Hello,
Could somebody explain me why Source of Supply is sometimes not filled with appropriate data ?
Here is my detailed case :
I have maintained a quota between 2 suppliers.
For supplier 1, I have a contract and no PIR.
For the supplier 2, I have only a PIR.
In the source list, I put the contract for supplier 1 and an entry for supplier 2. Both are relevant for MRP.
I am putting some independant requirements on the material (MD61) and running the MRP.
The PR are well splitted between the 2 sources, but in the PR associated to supplier 2, PIR is not indicated in Source of Supply and sometimes even Purchasing Organization is not found.
In the cases Purchasing Organization is found, but not the PIR, when I am converting the PR in PO, the PIR is found at PO creation.
I do not understand what is missing for the system to put all information directly in PR.
Thank you for your help !
    Laetitia

first of all. just one source in the source list can be MRP relevant.
if you flag more than one, then the you cannot be sure which source SAP is determining, either the first or the last.
anyhow in case or quota arrangement, SAP first checks the Quota arrangement, and later checks the source list, e.g. to determine if delivery schedules have to be created or if the source is valid at all.
The quota arrangement has no information about purchasing org. hence  this info cannot be filled

  • SRM 7 automatically assign source of supply in SOCO

    Hi guru,
I'm working with SRM 7.0 extended classic scenario and i have to transfer external requirements from backend SAP into SRM Sourcing Cockpit. In the SOCO I have to determine automatically the source of supply and the price.
I read that in the SOCo the sources relevant are:
    1. contract
    2. interlinkage
    3. vendor list ( there isn't information of price)
Could you please explain me how it works this functionality, and the priority in the determination of supply and price?
    Have you documentation about ?
    Thank in advance
    L.

    Hello,
If there is only one source of supply available (it does not matter if it is contract or info record), system will assign it automatically.
If there is more than one, you can press "proposed sources of supply" button and SRM will show all available sources of supply.
Price will be taken from sources of supply in any case.

    Hi All
i have read many SAP Press books and materials but no where officially mentioned INFORECORD as source of supply but we could use INFORECORD as source of supply in the classic. • Shopping cart source of supply

    Hi experts,
We are implementing SRM 7.0 in Extended Classic Scenario (SAPKIBKV06).
I need an expert advice in shopping cart SOS assignment. We have free text Central Contract in our scenario. Our requirement is that when users create free text shopping cart in SRM, these central contracts should appear as source of supply (in shopping cart). I am able to get the source of supply in shopping cart for Classic Scenario. But this does not work in Extended Classic.
My question is that is this functionality available only in Classic?
    Thanks

Note 1393854 - "Block Local Sourcing" field and lable separated in contract
Note 1403375 - Block local sourcing flag is cleared
IS IT PCTR OR CCTR contract?
I GET BACK TO YOU SHORTLY.
When you create a central contract, you can specify that it is distributed to one or more SAP ERP back-end systems. On item level, you can enter release-authorized purchasing organizations by selecting the Assign Distribution pushbutton. You then enter Release-Authorized Purchasing Organizations (back-end systems) that you require, along with other data such as Location and Target Value for each back-end system.
Assigning distribution in this way can be particularly useful if you have many items as it simplifies the process.
By default, every item in a central contract is available as source of supply locally. If you do not want the items to be available locally, set the Block Local Sourcing indicator on the General Data tab page.
    Header Level
The header level of a contract provides you with an overview of distribution.
Select Calculate to display an overview of the Target Values for each release-authorized purchasing organization. You only need to do this when creating the contract.
    Note
The central contract is created in each specified release-authorized purchasing organization with a different number. The contract numbers (SAP SRM contract and SAP ERP contracts) are displayed on the Tracking tab page. When you subsequently search for contracts, the system displays both the SAP SRM contract number and the number under which it is known in the respective SAP ERP systems.
    End of the note.
    Distribution Technology
Central contracts are distributed to SAP ERP back-ends on Enhancement Package 4 and higher using SAP's service-oriented architecture (SOA).
For all other releases, distribution is carried out using iDocs

  • Source of supply (info record) in Shopping cart-extended classic

    Hi experts,
    We are on SRM 7.0.
We have changes from classic scenario to extended classic scenario, and after this a problem has come up?
When I create s a shopping cart for a product number, I have to allocate the vendor manually. If I activate the source of supply tab, I can't se the info record for the product number, which are created in the back-end.
I the classic scenarion is was working as this:
    1. Create a shopping cart
    2. Go to the tab 'source of supply'
    3. Choose the vendor from different info records created in the back-end.
    4. order the shopping cart
In the extended classic it is working as this:
    1. Create a shopping cart
    2. Go to the tab 'source of supply'
    3. There are NO info record to choose from, even though I have created different info records in the back-end. I have to search for the vendor, and can't se any info record number. By this I can't get the right vendor assigned to the shopping cart???

  • How to add a new filed of Personnel number in FB60 data entry screen

    Hello SAP Gurus,
We want to have a field to populate the Personnel number in all of the posting document entries via FB60. Besides the existing fields such as the "Doc.header text", "reference", "short text", "text" and "assignment" fields etc, are there any other fields that can be used to enter the Personnel number in the document entries? Maybe there're some fields are ready but the fields have been hidden on the data entry screen currently?
Personnel number is there in the Vendor master data in CoCd data, Accounting Info.
I checked the Field status group of the Vendor Recon A/c in OBC4 and made the personnel number as Optional from suppressed mode in FSG BS41 under Additional Account Assignment.
After doing the above, I am still not able to see the personnel number filed in FB60.
Am I missing anything else due to which I am not able to get the additional filed of personnel number in FB60 screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Dear
Look FB60 screen has two parts :
The one in which you enter information related to vendor is Header Level, in this case you already assign Personnel No. in Vendor Master so no field is required as Personnel no. will be picked up from Vendor Master level.
The Other is line item level is bottom half part, if you want to assign personnel no. at Expense G/L level then if you scroll right you will find a field for Personnel no. If you can't see the field check your setting at OBVV for the field status group you assign to particular Expense G/L.
    Hope you Understood
    Cheers

  • SRM 4.0: Source of Supplier not copying in line item on Shopping Cart

We are using SRM 4.0 in an extended classic setup and currently experiencing a problem with the source of supplier not being copied on line items. The user stated that  when copying a line items in a shopping cart the source of supplier is not copying to the new line.  It happens sometimes but not everytime the client uses the line copy option.
It was initially thought that based on the amount of the line item (>=$25,000) that would cause the source of supplier (vendor) not to copy to the new line item but it has been verified by client that is not the case.  If anyone has seen this issue and know of what the root cause could be please let me know.
    Thanks

    Yann,
Actually this is occurring when the user is creating a shopping cart from scratch.  He added a line item either from catalog or free text, sources the item and then uses the copy function to copy the line item.  When the client does this the item is copied but the vendor disappears from the 2nd line item and client has to add it again.
