Renamed our customized Velocity JAR from mm-velocity-1.4.jar to velocity-dep-1.4-flex.jar.
The standard Velocity name for this JAR, which is built by Velocity's "jar-dep" target, is velocity-dep-1.4.jar. We append "-flex" to indicate that we've customized it, just as for our customized Batik JAR.
This change affected the mxmlc classpath in modules/compiler/build.xml, the packaging scripts, and the Eclipse projects.
I also renamed mm-velocity-LICENSE.txt and mm-velocity-NOTICE.txt to drop the "mm-" prefix.

Utl_http package from our custom pl/sql package.
We have a requirement to invoke a thrid party Url that uses HTTPS. For this we are using the call to utl_http package from our custom pl/sql package. When we invoke the custom package form Oracle Forms it works fine. But when we try to invoke the same from ApplicationModule Class in our custom OA Framework form we get the following error.

Error in the standard htmlb.jar from EP6 SP9 (HTMLx)
I've successfully migrated my custom developed applications from EP5 SP5 to EP6 SP9. I've used the well known 3rd party
HTMLxframework for the DatePicker and Locale corrections only (I am a brazilian developer).
In the org.sapportals.htmlb.rendering there is a class named RenderUtil.
This class has two places with this specific code:
ResourceBundle r = ResourceBundle.getBundle("java.text.resources.LocaleElements", locale);
Which is very wrong as the "java.text.resources.LocaleElements" is available only until j2sdk 1.3. In the EP5 that runs under 1.3 there's no problem but EP6 uses j2sdk 1.4 and this packages has been relocated from the standard package to a "ext" (extension) package and been renamed as "sun.text.resources.LocaleElements".
So, as HTMLx uses this RenderUtil class, I had to decompile the original from the htmlb.jar using JAD and corrected the above line with the following new line or code:

More than that, I had to change several places of the HTMLx's HxInputFieldRenderer to reflect the class name changes made to the CSSs of the EP6. In the new version SAP does not open a pop-up window for the DatePicker. Instead they chose to rewrite it as a dynamic layer. So the HTMLx code has to change to reflect that.
Here follows the workaround version of HxInputFieldRenderer.java (notice that some strings are not internationalized, I just copied and pasted the parts I needed, so it's not a definitive version, but will help you get a clue of what to do):

Renaming Valid Values of "Copy From" in Delivery

In a delivery doc, i have selected a customer and clicked on "Copy From". I get a small popup with values "Quotations", "Sales Orders", "Returns". I want to rename these to different values.

JDev 10.1.3 how to invoke oc4j_remote_deploy.jar from command line?
Hi, does anyone know how to invoke the JDev 10.1.3 oc4j_remote_deploy.jar from the command line? We have it working for 10.1.2, for automated deployment scripts.
If I try the same thing for 10.1.3, I get an error.

I think the error is in the Oc4jDcmServlet URL, the format seems to have changed from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3.
I tried to reverse-engineer by using an HTTP tracer, but that did not help.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Cm.jar is working even after deleting the jar from Server
Hi,
To update the environment with the new changes we had manually copied the cm.jar into the respective folders but due to some class errors Deployment was not successful,So as a matter of trial we had deleted cm.jar from the respective folders and then we had ran the initialsetup,
Strange thing what we have observed is that all the custom logic which was initially deployed through cm.jar was still exisiting in the applicationserver and are getting executed smoothly
This is the process what we have followed
Method 1:
1) Stop server
2)
Copy cm.jar to SPLBASE/etc/conf/root/WEB-INF/lib
Copy cm.jar to SPLBASE/etc/conf/XAI-APP/WEB-INF/lib
Copy cm.jar to SPLBASE/ splapp/businessapp
Copy cm.jar to SPLBASE/ splapp/ standalone/lib
3) Run InitialSetup
4) Start Server

Even after removing cm.jar from all places manually my custom code which I deployed initially is working. I could run custom batch and custom algorithm. Very Strange. I am not sure what I missed or where application is referring to.

Even if you have deleted the cm.jar file from respective location.It do exist in splapp.war file.If you will extract that file you will find the cm.jar file in /splapp/web-inf/lib/cm.jar location.So whenever you will run the initialsetup it will restore the cm.jar.This thing is happening in your case also.So delete the file from splapp.war and rebuild the war.This will solve your issue.

How Do We suppress Quick View in our custom OWL
Hi guys,
We have used Navigation on a field assigning TT on that field, but by default the Quick view is coming is that any way we can suppress a quick view window from our custom owl.
We just dont want Quick view to come! is there any way we can suppress it?

DhruvinWe're considering a couple of options. The first was simply to respond with a 503 response instead of a 500, and use the Retry-After header. We cannot guarantee clients will follow that header, however. Our other thought is to more closely monitor the error
rate (currently we have a job checking every 5 minutes for the total errors per end point over the last 15 minutes) and when some low threshold is passed return a 200 response with a short message or an "empty" response appropriate to the expected
content type (which might be a solid black image, for example).
If feels wrong to return a 200 response when our service cannot successfully complete the request, but we're not sure what else to do and what Azure may or may not be doing that is outside of our control here. -
How to Rename A custom Smartform

I have a custom smartform downloaded from legacy ex: YTEST, i need to rename it as ZTEST and upload to the current R3 system.

You can upload the smartform using "Utilities->Upload Form" from the SMARTFORMS inital screen.
