Handling the LOV Click event in ProcessFormRequest

Hi ,
We have a requirement to display certain messageStyledText values in the header region based on the value selected in LOV.
I am trying to handle the LOV click event in ProcessFormRequest method by checking if the event is lovUpdate or lovValidate and then obtain the value selected in the LOV field.

I further pass this value to a method in AM where the query for fetching the values of the message Styled text fields should get executed. But , I get a NullPointer exception message when the controller reaches the AM method invoked.

Event Handler/Create User Event bug

This is a problem I've run into a few times on my system (Win2k) so I finally went back and reproduced it step by step since it wasn't too hard. It causes LabVIEW to crash and exit without saving.
- Create an Event Handler
- Place 'Register Events', wire output to dynamic event terminal
- Place 'Create User Event', wire output to 'Register Events'/User Event
- Place an Empty String Constant [""], wire to input of 'Create User Event'
- Set empty string property -> Visible Items > Label = True
- Rename label from "Empty String Constant" to other such as "Event"
OR
- Create a cluster constant with something in it
OR
- Place a boolean constant
- Set boolean property -> Visible Items > Label = True
- Name label something su
ch as "Event"
- 'Add Event Case...' to the Event Handler, select Dynamic / : User Event
- Delete the constant wired to 'Create User Event'.
- Place a constant of a different data type and wire it to the input of 'Create User Event'
LabVIEW immediately disappears (all changes are lost) and this error is displayed:

LabVIEW.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You wlil need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.

Thanks for the detailed request. We are aware of this exact issue, and the problem was actually fixed for LabVIEW 7.0 for Mac/Unix. Unfortunately, it did not get fixed for the initial release of LabVIEW 7.0 for Windows, but we have plans to include the fix in the first LabVIEW patch for 7.0.

I have not been able to test the code due to SQL Exceptions thrown in the handler class, and when i try and throw them up from here i get;
LogonUI.java:52: actionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent) in LogonUI.ButtonHandler cannot implement actionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent) in java.awt.event.ActionListener; overridden method does not throw java.lang.InstantiationExceptionAny ideas on my code and how to handle these exceptions will be very appreciated. Handling a table scroll event

Hi experts,
I have a table with several columns. In one column there is a small image thumbnail. After the content (JSONModel) has rendered in the table, a javascript is triggered, which searches for the thumbnails and generates on mouseover bigger preview of that image. However, if I scroll down the table, then the preview is not generated and I would like to re-run that script again. Therefore I would like to handle a table scroll event.
How could a listener to the scroll event of a sapui5 table be handeled?

VISA Wait on Event User Event

I have a Producer/Consumer program that uses an Event Structure to handle the UI button presses. I want to be able to use the VISA wait on Event to read characters from the RS232 port. So in my Event Structure I created a case for dynamic user events.
I also create a while loop that has the VISA Enable Event and VISA Wait on Event in it. I enabled the "Serial Character" event only. When I get this event I use the Create User Event.VI and Register for Events to get a Event Refnum
How do I get the Event Refnum from this loop into my Producer loop?

No, that is not the code. That is one subVI and a picture. Where are you waiting for the VISA events? Where are you generating your user event? Based on the picture you are calling the Initialize_Controller_Communication and remaing in that code until the Stop buuton is pressed. You will not start your event structure in the producer loop until this VI completes. So, if you are not hitting the stop button to complete your initializtion it is no wonder you are never seeing your event structure run.

Calendar on iOS 7.1: Cannot Save Event - That event does not belong to that event store.

Hi All,
I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.
Yesterday, while updating a birthday in the iPhone iOS calendar app (default calendar = GMail), I noticed that the new 'List View' in the iOS 7.1 calendar (and only that view) showed an event called 'New Event' - which has a start date of 2014 and an end date of 2001. If I go into that event, it will show me no title and no location - only, as mentioned, funny start and end times. The 'Delete Event' button is completely missing. This 'New Event' does not come up in any other view.
Trying to input a ficticious title with a valid start and end time into that event slot leads to a message from the calendar app saying: "Cannot Save Event - That event does not belong to that event store." I have deleted all calendars and re-add them again via settings, with / without soft and hard reset and tried every possible combination. Yet, the event will not disappear.
The funny thing is that this 'New Event' will still showed up, even when my GMail, work and iCloud calendars were disabled. I have, however, subscribed to a GMail calendar for Australian holidays, and there is a built-in 'Birthday' calendar that pulls the dates from the contacts (I do not use that contact field, though).
Does anyone have a similar issue? Any suggestions how to fix it?

Edit: This 'New Event' does not seem to sync to any calendar other than on the iPhone - not to Gmail, not to work, not to iCloud.

Had same problem. Although the phone looks off it actually isnt. If you actually turn it off and then on again this problem will disappear. I think its a memory overload issue that is solved by clearing the memory by turning it off.

What camera do you have?
Before you resign yourself to using the free DNG converter, which adds a step to the process each time you want to open raw files, you might want to double check to see if you have installed the latest Camera Raw update, and whether that version actually handles your camera.
Check your version by choosing Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw in Photoshop. 4.6 is the latest for Photoshop CS3.
Check the list of supported cameras in the ReadMe file for Camera Raw 4.6 (the latest version that will install with Photoshop CS3) here:

At the root of all this is that every different camera makes a slightly different format .cr2 file, even though they're all named .cr2. If your camera was designed/released after the last update of Camera Raw for CS3 was made (i.e., when PS CS4 was first released), then it will not be supported by that version of Camera Raw. Adobe stops adding new camera support to each version of Photoshop when the next major release goes out. If you find yourself in this situation, then the DNG converter, as Silkrooster has said, is what you'll want to use.

The only thing I did different about the time these things changed, was upgrading to 10.6 on my mac. Hopefully I can fix this with your help! I really appreciate it in advance.

Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
     Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
    Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

Terminating Event to Event Queue due to Work Item Lock

I have a dialog workflow task based on an asynchronous method defined with a terminating event. When the user executes the work item, the method generates the terminating event (via a V2 change document) but the work item is enqueued (locked) by the same user (locked when they execute the work item from SBWP) and therefore the terminating event goes into error and is placed in the event queue. The background job which processes the event queue does not redeliver the event so it stays in the event queue and the work item fails to complete. Other than dequeing the work item lock myself with a function call how do I get around this catch 22?

Actually, the locking happens whether I have the task as asynchronous or synchronous. The problem is the timing. If the user does not release the lock (by backing out of the dialog which is executed) prior to the terminating event attempting to enqueue and complete the work item then the event goes into error and is inserted into the event queue (and lingers there indefinitely, almost). Another issue with the asynchronous approach is that even if the user backs out of the dialog before the event actually attempts to complete the work item they will still see the work item in the inbox unless they click the refresh button when they get back to the inbox.
I have changed the task to synchronous but here is my scenario and another question.
The process being workflowed is the approval of service entrysheets (similar to an invoice if you are not familiar with External Services). In our process, there are a large number of documents being created and requiring approval by particular approvers. It is a normal scenario for an approver to have, lets say 25 documents in his inbox awaiting approval. It was not practical for him to have to navigate back and forth between his inbox and the approval task screen. Therefore, I give the users the option of (when executing a work item) having all the documents in his in-box (for this particular task) be presented in an approval list screen. They can then do a mass approval of the 25 documents with 1 click and 1 navigation. This list screen is also available to be executed outside workflow via a tcode. So, when the user executes the mass approval (either from the inbox or outside workflow) the work items are terminated via the terminating event assigned to the approval task.
A couple of issues remaining:
1) Given my example of 25 work items (user executes 1 work item from in-box
and I displayed all 25) being approved, when the user returns to the in-box, the 24
items remain in his inbox until he clicks the refresh button since these were not actually "executed" from the workflow engines point of view. However, these were terminated successfully because they were not "locked".
<b>Question:</b> Is there a way (user exit?) to trigger the inbox refresh automatically.
2) Now, the issue with the actual work item which the user executes from the inbox. As I mentioned, the work item is locked as soon as the user executes it and is not released until they back out of the dialog or logoff. So, here is what happens: If the terminating event is sent before the lock is released the event is sent to the event queue. If they then back out back to the in-box, its OK since I put some code in the SWO1 object type program (rememeber, its now synchronous) which will determine if they did the approval/rejection and the work item will complete and the event in the event queue will be deleted the next time the Event Queue Background job runs (it deletes any events for work items already in COMPLETED status). However, lets say they simply log off rather than backing up to the in-box or they don't do anything and are eventually logged off by timeout. In this case the code in the object type program to determine if the approval/rejection was done does not get executed (control does not return to the object type program) and the work item remains in "STARTED" status and remains in the users inbox and the event is in the event queue. So, now we have a work item that should be completed still sitting in the users in-box and the terminating event in the event queue. So the next time the user goes to their inbox the work item is still there. The interesting thing is that though this may be confusing to the user, if they then attempt to execute the work item, they will get a message: "Work item currently being completed by event" (Message SWF_RUN 644) and the event sitting in the event queue gets redelivered and completes the work item. To alleviate this problem I was thinking of adding a call to SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE in the approval list screen after they do the approval but I'm guessing it wont work since it probably will try to enqueue the work item and it will still be locked.

Manually dispatching a keyboard tab event on a form does not work

I am trying to solve the following issue:
I have a form that is sitting on a TitleWindow. This is a popup window. I have a TextInput field. After clicking on the TextInput field when I try to paste something on it, nothing happens the first time and it works i.e. I am able to paste when I do a cntrl V the second time (I am trying to solve this weired behavior). When I use the keyboard to tab to the TextInput field I am able to paste using cntrl V the first time itself.
Therefore, I am trying to manually dispatch a tab keyboard event on a form using the following code and this does not work. I have 2 TextInput component on the form and I want the cursor to be on the second TextInput component.
I have a have a key down handler and I can see that the event that comes in is a tab event, but on the UI the cursor does not position itself correctly.

No I am not trying to change the text programmatically. I have added a click event handler and a paste event handler on the textinput. I checked the differences in the properties of event and did not see anything that is different.
I have a hunch that it has something to do with the fact that this form is sitting on a popup window.

If OSMFSettings.enableStageVideo true, then click event from the MediaContainer is not dispatch.

I use org.osmf.vast.mediaVAST2TrackingProxyElement from the VASTLibrary for display advertising and use click to handle advertisement redirection.
It's works for flash.media.Video.
But after setting OSMFSettings.enableStageVideo = true, the click event from the MediaContainer is not dispatch.
Can you please help?

Actually, I looked briefly at the dev guide this week end, and Stage Video actually renders from the GPU under the Actionscript App.
It could be something like this:
Stage video is behind the Actionscript objects and one of them is as big or bigger than the video rendering rectangle and it is grabbing mouse interaction.
Just speculating.
Also, I'm not certain StageVideo can recieve mouse events...

Hi,
Lion has changed the way reminders (todos as was) work. They now seem to need to be in a seperate calendar.
In iCal open the File menu and select New Reminder List... and select where to put it.
