What are you supposed to cast it to? I might have tried to cast it to something wrong.
I tried
TableCellRenderer tcr = table.getDefaultRenderer(Boolean.class);
((DefaultTableCellRenderer)tcr).setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.LEFT);and that gave me a ClassCastException. But I might have been trying to cast it to the wrong thing.

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

hello gearjam, first of all it appears, that you're using an outdated version of firefox with various known security vulnerabilities - please [[Update Firefox to the latest version]] as soon as possible to stay safe while you browse the web.
regarding the problem you're observing, please make sure that no extension in firefox > addons > extension with the functionality to change tab settings is interfering here - or if this is not the case, go through the steps described in [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].

at times when I am moving around in my iTunes library, on windows 7 64 bit computer, i alter the check marks that are in the library. I don't know exactly how I turn them off . ow can I deliberately turn them on & off en-mass? Is there a tutorial that would give me as much info as possible in utilising them? Ctrl-click on an empty box to check them all or vice-versa. If you don't have a use for them turn them off (Edit > Preferences > General > Show list checkboxes). I use them to make iTunes exclude stuff like bonus interview tracks from my devices and normal album playback.

The checkmarls are simple images. If you scale up the check mark or look at it in higher magnification, it of course appears blurry.
You may want to replace the check marks by graphics of your own (perhaps scaleable SVGs)
Select a check box, open the states panel and see the different states; change the graphics for the desired state by using the "Fill"-command in command strip on top of the application window.

SOLUTION!
I've been suffering from this problem for a few months. I tried everything suggested by everyone, and then, today, I had a mad idea.
I used to work in a room in the house that's about 12 metres away from the router. It's on the next storey up and horizontally about 8 metres away. The problem started when I began to work in the same room as the router.
Today I became so frustrated that for some reason I walked into a room about 8 metres away on the same level - Guess what? I connected with no problem at all. Feeling full of joy I walked back to the room where the router is located - Dropped internet connection within a few minutes! Walked back to the the room that's 8 metres away and, hey presto! I have a connection. I now realise that the problem was that I moved too close to the router.
I can think of no logical explanation for my experience, but empirically it seems to work. Does anyone have the faintest idea of why this should be the case? In the absence of an answer I think I may have to start believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden - I'm just off to set a meal for them.
By the way, I don't know if it has any significance, but the router is a BT Infinity router that has replaced the incredibly unreliable Virgin Media cable connection

I'm sorry to bother people with this simple questions, but I looked all throught the tutorial and coudn't find the explanation for the check marks in the boxes in front of the song titles

In iTunes the "Check marks" serve 2 porpuses.
1) If you have a song unchecked it will not play. Lets say you have a playlist with 4 songs, and you uncheck the 3rd one, well when its playing it will play track 1, track 2 then skip track 3 and play track 4. If all songs are unchecked, the second the first song is dome playing it just stops playing any songs til you select one.
2) If you have an iPod AND your iPod preferences are set to "Only Update checked songs" all songs without a checkmark are not added to your iPod, this is good for songs you don't really like or seasonal songs like xmas songs. To set this on an iPod, connect it to the PC, rightclick the iPod in iTunes, hit "Ipod options" then check the box beside "Update only checked songs"

I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. thats what I thought, but the check marks Im talking about are on the library pages. I check the items to sync on the Ipad interface. Are you saying the items not checked will not be available to sync in the Ipad interface? In other words, if I dont check it in the library interface, I cannot sync it in the ipad interface? Right now, nearly everything in my library has a check mark, but I'm certainly not syncing my whole library.
