[svn:fx-trunk] 9290: A skin would almost always be reloaded when setting it via skinFactory when a style invalidation occurs .
Revision: 9290

Log Message:
A skin would almost always be reloaded when setting it via skinFactory when a style invalidation occurs. skinFactory was being smart about ClassFactories, but since Design View was the only one using this API (as it's undocumented and officially unsupported), the ClassFactory case wasn't helping them much. Because of this, now we only recreate the skin when the skinFactory style has been explicitly set as per design view's request.

It's clearly not impossible, just different than you expect. Create your playlist as you want it to appear in the Current tab (meaning don't dump every single song from your library in there, just the ones you want) and then save the playlist.
Perre wrote:And if I try to play the m3u file created (the one with every song listed) through freevo I get a message that the directory is empty. What am I doing wrong??
Look at save_absolute_paths_in_playlists in your mpd.conf.

The problem is that Vista, by default, will only use NTLMv2 for authentication, which is not supported by Mac OS X's Windows Sharing service.
The other problem is the Minimum Session Security for NTVLM SSP based Clients.
To get around this:
1. In Vista, open the Control Panel
2. Switch to "Classic" view
3. Double-click Administration Tools
4. Double-click Local Security Policy
5. Or Secpol.msc
6. Expand "Local Policies" and select "Security Options"
7. Alternate : Type secpol.msc to get editor up then
8. Locate "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level" in the list and double-click it.
9. Change the setting from "Send NTMLv2 response only" to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session if negotiated"
10. Network Security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP Based (including secure RPC) Clients
11. Change the setting from "require 128 bit" to unchecked (No Minimum)
12. Click OK
the real difference between vista and windows 7 procedure is 10 and 11 -

Round 2 of bug fixes for the Spark skins for Halo components. Thanks to Alex for help with the data grid issues.
Bugs fixed:
SDK-19655 - Setting rowCount property on DataGrid causes extra blank row to be displayed
SDK-19652 - Items in a DataGrid do not line up after scrolling.
SDK-19605 - disabled Halo ColorPicker with Gumbo skin draws too dark
SDK-19596 - When you have a single button on an Alert, the left edge looks flatter than the right
SDK-19585 - Menus compiled with the halo theme in Flex 4 have a different backgroundColor than in Flex 3
SDK-19665 - Halo List with Gumbo skin doesnt draw the alternating item color all the way to the right edge of the control if VScrollBar is present
SDK-19651 - odd header rendering issue on Halo DataGrid with Gumbo skin
QA Notes: The alert layout code was positioning the buttons/text on sub-pixel boundaries if the width or height of the alert was an odd number of pixels. We always snap to pixel boundaries now, but this may cause bitmap compare issues with Alert.

Please do not jump to conclusions and make assumptions here like 'when will people finally get it??'. I never said it was a benchmark. I have also seen many examples of where it's results do not go with conventional performance. I have a Radeon 9000 that goes faster on glxgears than a Geforce FX 5600 running Nouveau. Which is the faster card? The FX by miles. It is not a benchmark as it can not be compared between configurations. What I know is that on this individual system, from prior experience over many years when 3D acceleration is working glxgears gets between 300 and 400 fps. When it is not working it gets less than 10. That is a fact but does not mean it is benchmarkable. Yes, a Quake 3 timedemo (I have these numbers too and they very much correlate to glxgears performance for this system given just how slow it is) would be a benchmark but when it runs less than 0.1fps and even the 2D rendering means that navigating the menu is impossible, there just isn't the time to find out. Hence if playing around with drivers on this system I would use glxgears to check that 3D acceleration is working but not to benchmark. Glxinfo does not give you all this evidence.
But to clarify, I wouldn't use glxgears as a benchmark, benchmarking is different and I do a lot of that too. -

Form Bug Fixes
SDK-26517 - Form should take into account includeInLayout property when calculating baselineElementPosition
Added logic into Group to find the first element that has includeInLayout == true.
SDK-26509 - Spark Form shows dual error strings in non-stacked layout
Removed error string from FormSkin. Created a StackedFormSKin skin which includes the error string.
SDK-26499 - Spark Form skin should use errorStringDisplay skin part instead of errorStringText
Changed name to errorTextDisplay
SDK-26498 - Spark Form needs more padding around error strings
Added padding to the entire Form
SDK-26503 - Difficult to create custom Spark FormItem skin due to embedded required/error icon assets
Added new requiredIndicatorSource and errorIndicatorSource styles to FormItem. FormItem skins now grab the icons from these styles. Custom skin also have access to these icons.
