Syncronize contacts back to my computer

I just had serious problem with my computer and I lost all my contacts, appointments, etc I am lucky I have them in my Iphone3GS How can transfer back to my computer Please help
All my contacts are my patients I am Internal medicine doctor.

As soon I conect my Iphone to the computer it starts the Syncronization but it SYNCRONIZE FROM COMPUTER >>TO MY IPHONE
HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS AND WHAT IS SYNCHRONIZING - FROM YOUR COMPUTER >> TO YOUR IPHONE?
My qeestion has been clear I WANT TO SYNCRONIZE FROM IPHONE>> TO MY COMPUTER What do you mean "A merge prompt that won't be provided until you sync" I don't have to select Syncronize command because it does it by itself.
AND MY ANSWER HAS BEEN CLEAR.
What do mean the FIRST SYNCRONIZE FOR THIS DATA? Does the iphone show the dates when the of syncronization was done?
THIS WAS COPIED FROM YOUR ORIGINAL POST.
I just had serious problem with my computer and I lost all my contacts, appointments, etc
Since all contacts and calendar events in Outlook were lost but the contacts and calendar events remain on your iPhone, BEFORE THE FIRST SYNC OR RE-SYNC FOR THIS DATA, you need to enter one contact in the Outlook address book and one calendar event in the Outlook calendar. THIS WILL PROVIDE A MERGE PROMPT FOR THIS DATA WITH THE FIRST SYNC FOR THIS DATA SINCE YOU HAD A PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER AND ALL OUTLOOK CONTACTS AND CALENDAR EVENTS ON YOUR COMPUTER WERE LOST.

  • How do I push contacts back to my Macbook Pro without a MobileMe Account

    Hello -
I accidentally deleted my contacts from my MacBook Pro (have no idea how I did that) and my most recent back up file is about 1 month old (my fault) but I really need to get the lastest version back onto my computer. I have an updated, clean set of contacts on my iPad2 and my iPhone 4. I can't figure out how to synch back to my Mac - push this set of contacts back to my computer. I read a related support post, but the problem is I never had a MobileMe Account - The provided solution required one. Now, I can't sign up for a MobileMe account even if I wanted to because of iCloud.
So, my question to you out there is how can I synch my contacts back from either my iPad2 or iPhone4 to my MacBook Pro but without a mobilMe account?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • I accidentally restored my iPhone 5 and lost all of my pictures and contacts. How can I get those back? My computer saved the .apalbum and .apmaster files, but I cannot seem to open them.

    Hi!
I was trying to sync my music from my Macbook to my iPhone 5 and accidentally restored the phone to some previous version that I had. In the process, I managed to lose all of my pictures, contacts, text messages, etc. I need some of that back. My computer seems to have the .ap files, but I cannot open them. Is there any way to get my pictures back at the very least?
    Thanks

The last backup I have is not recent enough to get my pictures back. Is there a way to get the pictures without using backup or iCloud?

  • How do I transfer Contacts from my IPhone5 back to my computer (windows)?  It crashed and I lost my contacts but I have them on my IPhone5 and would like to transfer or export them.

How may I transfer Contacts from my IPhone5 back to my Windows Computer.  I had a trojan virus and it wiped out everything including my contacts.  My IPhone 5 has the only complete list of my contacts and I'd like to have them back on my computer.

    Hi Jean167,
I'm sorry to hear you of your issues with contacts being erased from your computer.
You can copy them from the iPhone if you have iCloud setup on all your devices.

  • When you sync your iPhone 4S with a windows computer , where are the contacts backed up to

When you sync your iPhone 4S with a windows computer , where are the contacts backed up to

Take a look at this Apple doc -> iTunes: About iOS backups
It shows the locations of backups and how to use them with iTunes.

  • Adding backed up contact data to home computer

Ok, I have backed up the device data (contacts, etc.) to my home computer. How do I install the contacts on my home computer? the file extension on the back-up file is .jpd

If you backed up your iPad to your computer, before you deleted the notebook, the data would still be in the backup.  You can restore from that backup.  But before you do, go into iTunes and make sure you have turned off Automatically Backup your devices when connected to iTunes.  I don't have iTunes on my work computer, so you'll need to find this in Settings > Devices (google it if you need more guidance).  Then connect your iPad to your computer, with iTunes open and once your iPad is recognized, you can right click it and choose restore from backup and a list the available backups will show up.  Choose the backup you know contains the notebook and you should be good to go from there.
ETA:  Follow the direction in this link to turn off automatic sync:  http://ipod.about.com/od/iphoneipodbattery/qt/disable-auto-sync.htm

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Backup iTunes to an External Drive

An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes.

  • How can I get icloud to back up my computer?

I am set up with icloud and had the icloud icon on my desktop, which worked without problems for several months.
Now the icloud icon is gone, and the only way to retrieve the saved documents is in a file entitled "previous local idisks".
I looked under icloud settings, and none of the memory has been used, which means nothing is in my icloud.
Not sure what the problem is! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

iCloud will not back up your computer. Only documents you can save in iCloud is photostream photos and documents created with Apple Applications within iCloud itself (pages, numbers, keynote), your Address Book contacts and Calendars. You can also back up iPhone & iPad settings.
iDisk was part of MMe and is going away or has gone away. I'm not sure of the exact date, but the deadline may have expired. If you have documents in iDisk and you did not save them to another location, they may be lost.

  • I can't get onto my iCloud account... How do I get my contacts back??

So I had a working iCloud account that I had accessed online before, and have since dropped and smashed the screen of my iPhone 4. This stopped the entire left hand side of the screen working and I am getting a replacement on household insurance (as my warranty has expired). The exact same day as the screen broke (3 days ago) was the last time it backed up to iCloud, and I have since been unable to access the iCloud account, and can no longer back anything up to it either (although I can connect to my laptop and access photos etc). I've tried calling apple support but they want to charge me £25 for advice- and I'm a student. I have backed up to my laptop which appeared successful through itunes (though I have no idea where anything has backed up to), and all I want is my contacts. I tried the suggested route Computer\users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ but there is no AppData folder.
I cant even screenshot the contacts as if I go into one I'll be stuck on that!
Oh and it's not the connection- my mums iCloud account still works a treat from the same computer.
WHY ISN'T iCLOUD WORKING FOR ME??
Thanks for any responses! Maddie x

You can check iTunes to see if your backup is listed there.  To do this on a PC, open iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and look at the backups list.  This will show the available backups to restore to.
With a little effort, you may also be able to use an app to back up your contacts using the right half of your screen.  Download the app My Contacts Backup in iTunes, then sync it to your phone.  If the app icon is place on the left side of your screen, using iTunes to move it to the right half of your screen so you can tap it.  Then launch the app, and use it to back up your contacts as an attachment to an email (the backup button extends to the right half of the screen so you should still be able to tap it.)  Send the email to yourself (you can address the email to yourself by tapping the "+" button and navigating to your contact).  If you can manage to do this, you can later open the email on your replacement phone and tap the attachment to import the contacts back to your phone.
You may not be able to back up to iCloud because more damage was done to your phone when you dropped it than just the broken screen.

  • Did restore, pc froze, rebooted, auto-synced to another account-needed to "setup as new" - how to get contacts back?!

okay...2 days ago the iPhone 4 vibrated for a good 45 min. did a hard reboot on the phone, stopped vibrating, locked on call screen, can't answer or recieve calls. Talked to a tech support last night. Was told to do a restore, saved all of what we could beforehand and after it was done with restoring to click on "Setup as new" opt. I did so, my pc froze while it was syncing the apps through iTunes so I had to reboot. Without realizing I didn't unplug the phone it auto-Synced into another iTunes account and contacts, etc. I NEED the previous contacts that were saved last night on this phone! How do I back to "set up as new"? or get those contacts back?!

    Hi Becki ..
You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

  • How can i get my old contacts back?

At first i signed up skype using my facebook account, but i couldn't log in on my andriod device, so i closed that account and created a new on using my e-mail, but now all my old contacts are gone, how can i get them back? ps. those old contacts are not my facebook friends and my new account is being connected to my facebook. if can't do this, i know part of my friend's name, cis there a fliter that i can use to narrow people down?

If you don't have a backup, well you can't. Start storing your contacts in a supported contact application on your computer & you won't have this problem in the future. And, backup your computer.

  • I'm having contacts problems. I just updated my iPhone 4S iOS to 6.0.1. And after that, I started having Contacts problems. My contact list is disappearing automatically, and I have to Import SIM everytime, to bring the contacts back.

It all started after updating my software to iOS 6.0.1. Contact problems, disappearing automatically, and I have to IMPORT SIM everytime when it happens, to bring my contacts back. And this is happening more when I'm using Whatsapp application. Every two hours using Whatsapp, my contact list is dissapearing, I'm seeing only numbers. I thought it was an Whatsapp problem, but after that, when I go into my Phone's contact list, I can see nothing ! Empty ! So I guess it's a software problem or something. Please help. Thank you.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • HT4236 If i had all of the photos and contacts backed up in my itunes but no longer have me iphone I how can I recover them?

if i had all of my photos and contacts backed up on my apple account, but no longer have my iphone how do i recover them?

Your question topic says you have all your photos backed up in iTunes. If so they are on your computer. When you get your new phone you can sync those photos from your computer to your phone.
