T.CODE:OB52 Problem

Hi
Now you at Quality server for Unit testing and Integration testing but problem is when you are using T.Code:-OB52 its showing display mode so you cannot open and closed posting periods.
What is the problem is in fianance moduel or basis module could give sugguestion.

Hi,
In standard SAP this transaction is not modifiable under Quality/Ptoduction system where the client is usually closed for modifications in T000 table. However, this could be easily changed by adjusting the attributes of this view V_T001B via SOBJ transaction. Ask your ABAP/BASIS team to help you with this. View note 77430 for further info.

Dear All,
When I close the existing period and open the new period in Dev Server, after click the Save button it asks Deployment Request No.
If we create new request and transport this deployment to Quality Server to start few testing.
When we do the same operation in Production Server, the system is not asking the Deployment Request number at the time of saving. It is allowing and saving directly. Why?
What is the difference between DEV/QA and PROD server for this kind action?
Could any one guide me.

Actually open and close FI period (transaction code OB52) is a master data but In Development Server the basis consultants set up in sandbox clinet and quality client to generate a request no. if u change values in OB52.But this can be changed(modifiable with out generating Request No) in Development server for this transaction code.

Authorization Group in T-Code: OB52

Hi,
I need to maintain 2 Auth. Group in T-Code: OB52, my requirment is below:
for some users (nearly 25) needs to post the transaction in June Month and for some users (nearly 10)should have to post for selected GL in the month of June.
So we decide to create two roles and assign the Auth Group in F_BKPF_BUP Auth. group. But i need to know whether the system will allow to assign two Auth. Group for one Company code (ie., 2 Auth. Group and all common users)
Please revert ASAP.

The help on AuGr field in OB52 is good. Here it is
Authorization Group
The authorization group allows extended authorization protection for particular objects. The authorization groups are freely definable. The authorization groups usually occur in authorization objects together with an activity.
Use
A posting period can be made available to only a limited set of users using the authorization group.
Procedure
If only a limited set of users is to be able to post in a particular posting period, proceed as follows:
Add the posting period authorization (authorization object F_BKPF_BUP) to the authorizations of the selected users. Assign an authorization group (e.g. '0001').
Enter the account type '+' for the posting period variant to which the restriction is to apply. Enter the period(s) whose use is to be restricted in the first period, those which are available to all users in the second period, and the authorization group (e.g. '0001') in the last column.
Examples
A posting period can be successively restricted. If, e.g. 10 users have the posting period authorization with authorization group '0001', and 3 of these 10 users also with authorization group '0002'.
If the period is only to be accessible to the 10 selected users the authorization group '0001' is entered in the posting period variant. Access can later be restricted to the remaining 3 users by entering '0002'.
I guess your requirement can very well be met, as explained in the example above. Also implement the following SAP Note to be able to assign the authorization group at document header level (account type '+') and at line item level in Transaction OB52.

PS: I have seen in a reply above that AuGr controls only special periods, which is not a correct statement. AuGr controls postings in the period specified in From per.1/Year To period/Year in OB52.

Hot Code Replace Problem...

Hi Everyone,
I am using WebLogic 10 with Eclipse. Whenever i start the server in debug mode and make two three changes in the code... WHAM.... I get the Hot Code Replace error. Is there any way so that the server can keep up with the code changes. Publishing the app again takes approx 40 mins!

Almost always this is a limitation of the JRE/JDK you are using and really
nothing to do with Eclipse.
Try a different VM and see if you have better luck

Code inspector problem

Hi all,
I'm checking the syntax before to release my order requests and I have several errors in code inspector.
Ok, I've fixed these errors. The problem is if I execute the code inspector again the errors are displayed again... but the code is ok, there are no errors.
It happened to me a lot of times, with several object types, may be the next day if I pass the code inspector the errors dissapears or may be not.
It's very strange. I've tried with other users, doing log off and login again... but nothing...
Do you know if exits some transaction code for "refresh" the code inspector? the buffer or something?

I've worked with code inspector quite a lot and I've never spoted this kind of problem. I would suspect that this is not code inspector problem but rather something is wrong with your repository objects.
If I were you I would try to debug code inspector. There is somewhere inside SCAN ABAP-SOURCE command used. Check what input is being used.

use the following:
define a index variable.
data: l_index type sy-tabix.
in your loop at e_t_data.
loop at e_t_data.
new statement
l_index = sy-tabix.
changed statement
modify e_t_data index l_index.
endloop.
The other read operations on internal tables will reset sy-tabix so that it will point to a invalid record.

Error code 36 (problems with external hard drive)

I have just upgraded to Yosemite and am now having major problem with my external western digital hard drive. I cannot create new folders and when I hit command N I get error code 36. I also cannot move files from one folder to the next. When I try to move them I get the error message: "The operation cannot be completed because a file of that name already exists" and that simply isn't true. None of the files' names exist in the other folder.

Ok, It appears to be the fault of Western Digital. I ejected the hard drive and then plugged it back in and it said that the drive was broken but I could still read the files and it told me to save the files on another disk and reformat. So it was just a coincidence that I upgraded to Yosemite at the same time that my external hard drive broke.

I have problem in assigining authorization T- Code : SPRO . Atually i want to give the user to acess particular path
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > SAP Insurance > Collections/Disbursements " but the user should not be able to acess
the remaining items in SPRO
I have tried to create the project from T-Code : SPRO_ADMIN , & have assigned this project to a role , but when we see by
login that all the contents inside the SPRO can be accessed by the user .
Below are the steps which have done for creation of Porject :
1. In the T-Code : SPRO_ADMIN , created the new project
2. Under the tab Scope , clicked on the Specify Scope & have given the path .
3. Then i saved it . & assigned this project to a role .
Kindly suugest how to resolve thi issue .

Most of the links from Spro navigates to transaction codes SM30/SM31 to maintain table entries. You need to check authorizaiton given on object S_TABU_DIS. Basically to minimize them to least acess, you need to trace and execute all the links/area to which you want to provide access.
However, ths doesn't guarantee that user might not get access to other nodes as tables are grouped + user might need access to other tables for performing other actions.

Flash Builder 4.6 code hinter problem - not showing some methods

Hi All,
I have a problem with FB code hinter. It does not show some methods on an object.
To be exact I created a Date object and FB code hinter does not show .toDateString method (actually I it shows only one to string method - .ToString(), although according to docs there are more)
When I use .toDateString method, code still compiles and work just fine, however method is not showing up in code hinter, which is really annoying..
Anyone had this problem? If so, please, share some wisdom how to solve this thing.

UPDATE:
Here is some more info in my problem.
I have tried to reinstall the application, but it did not help.
So what I did was:
* first I installed FB standard edition version 4.
* I checked the code hinter and it worked. It showed .toDateString method.
* I have purchased FB standard 4.5 upgrade.
* I installed this upgrade, and boom the code hinter does not show the method...
* Next I tried to create a project with Flex 4.1 sdk and then it worked - method was there. So the problem is with 4.6 sdk apparently...sucks...

Regarding the File Adapter with Code Page problem

I have a scenario where I am processing file at receiver end. The code page of the file is Cp037. When I try with this, I am facing the problem. Is there anyway where I can chage the code page of the file which is to processed by File adapter receiver.
I have one idea but I don't know whether it is possible or not. It is to use XML Anonymizer Module.

Cp037 ( EBCDIC ) is not a basic but an extended encoding set which might not be supported by the file encoding parameter at the receiver file adapter.
Either you can try the code page conversion using java code as mentioned in this[ post|Code page conversion;

National characters (code page) problem

I made JSP page with code page 1250 with characters specific to this code page. In JDeveloper everything looks OK. Compiled page (Java file) also shows good, but when I open it in Web browser all national characters are lost (question marks instead of letters). Can anybody help me to solve this problem?
Note: JDeveloper is configured to mentioned code page.

Zen Xtra Code 10 problem

I have a 60gb Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra (not sure what order those words belong in ). I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Last week this worked fine, plug it in, navigate it like I would a harddri've.
Now I plug it in and it tells me that it's an MTP device and it can't start (the Code 0 error). I try to install drivers, and none of the drivers I download are acceptable to it. It doesn't show up in Media Player or anywhere else I can find. Uninstalling it just ends up having it do the same thing.
Help!

Have the exact same problem - both Creative MediaSource and XP Pro (SP2) do not recognise my Zen Xtra. Talked w/ a knowledgeable guy from Creative support today and he had me download a new driver (2.0.00) but it didn't change anything. He suggested a reformat, but I'm not willing to risk the possibility of reformating and having an empty player I can't access, so for now I will have to li've w/ the music already in the player. It appears Creative has some issues they are unwilling to address.
And for the record, Creative's email support has stopped responding to my inquiries. They've said try the recovery tool, then said no don't do that. It turns out the recovery tool is NOT for the Zen Xtra. The email support people don't know the products they are attempting to support. Worthless!

Unknown error code 13014 problem, this is the first time I've ever seen it.

After I upgraded my PC, I copied old libraries and music files from the old hard drive to the new one. I installed the newest version of iTunes (8.0.2) and when I plugged in my ipod, I saw something I had never seen. Guess what it is?

I had no problems for using every function that my iPod touch and iTunes have (including Genius play list) and of course, I've been updating every version of firmwares and iTunes programs. After I googled about this incident, I figured out this problem should not be seen on the newest version of iTunes but I'm still surffering from it.
Temporally, I turned off Genius Play List and now, that error code doesn't pop up but of course, I can not use Genius Play list because of it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, restored firmware, moved Library Extras & Genius.itdb and do them again and again. Of course, none of them worked.
What can I do? Is there anyone else who is experiencing same thing to me? How can I get my Genius Play List function back?
Please Help me. I'm desperate. :<

Did you properly prep your new drive first?
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder. If you need to reformat your startup volume, then you must boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation.
I think you should shutdown the installer then erase the drive per the above and start again.
