T:Tree with t:columns

Hi,
I tried to use t:columns within a t:tree. But I get an error message, that it's not possible. But I need this feature, is there a work around for this?

Well you can, the code below is working:
<t:tree value="#{QualityMatrixBean.treeTableModel}" var="treeItem" expandRoot="true">
     <t:treeColumn>
          <t:outputText value="#{treeItem}"></t:outputText>
     </t:treeColumn>
     <t:column>
          <t:outputText value="bla"></t:outputText>
     </t:column>
</t:tree>

  • REMOVE_ELEMENT in a Table with ( tree by key Column )

    Hi all,
    Designed a table with Tree by key column ( a Normal table with tree )
    In one of the row there is a Drop down field provided for selection.
    We have delete button provided to the customer.
    In this delete button handeled removing the Lead selected row using the method  REMOVE_ELEMENT of COntext_node.
    so in the context node if we are having 15  elements. The particluar hierarchy selected can have minimun 4 elements
    In the UI display the total node( total hierarchy node) is getting deleted but in the debugging mode the node is having  14 elements.
    Kindly suggest how to handle it so that in the node also i have the total hierarchy deleted.
    Thank you,
    Usha

    Hello Usha,
    For this you need write the logic. If you are deleting a context element of ID say 'ROW1', then you need to take care of deleting all the context element which has parent key as 'ROW1'.

  • Problem when expanding Tree - Tree with nested table column

    Hi, i have created the tree using the Tree with nested table column.
    I have created a node called TREE_ROOT in the context.
    This node has few attributes which includes children_loaded, is_leaf, is_expanded.
    I have created the recursive node TREE_SUB for the above node TREE_ROOT.
    In the view, i have created the table with the master column. The above attributes have been mapped accordingly. I have created the action handler for load_children.
    In this action handler method, i receive the context_element correctly. In this method, i determine the children of the selected element and the resulting children are attached to this context_element.
    But the problem is: when i add elements to context_elements in the method load_children, these
    elements get added to the node TREE_ROOT as well.
    Please help.
    thanks and best regards,
    Pramod

    I just use some types defined in this user... Well, I hope you know what is the type definition of d_period_sec,
    don't you ? I didn't ask to provide all types existed now, only types you are

    Anyhow you have been granted with execute privilege for types you are using:

  • Editable column in tree with columns

    Hello,
    I’m constructing a tree with columns with CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE class and I want to set one of the columns as text type and editable.
    ¿Do you know how? If I could do it with another class I would also be glad to try it.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Please refer the links,

  • Troubles when trying to transfer a table with hierarchical column to a tree

    In WD for ABAP, I encounter many troubles when trying to transfer a table with hierarchical column to an actual tree. In my UI, the tree is in the left pane and the detail for a node is in the right.
    1. With hierarchical table, I can bind the dataSource of the table directly to the context node in View which is mapped to a context node in component controller which is a DDIC structure. But with a tree, is it possible to map the dataSource of the tree or node in tree to context node in component controller?
    2. With hierarchical table, when lead selection changed, the detail info in the right pane will change automatically. But with a tree, it seems to have to be implemented via action by myself.
    Can anyone give some suggestions to overcome these troubles?

    Wei,
    <i>With tree table, the dataSource of the table is just bound to the context node ORG_UNIT</i>
    Hmmm... You said, that this node resides in component controller, not in view controller. Or does it?
    Any recursive node that can be displayed with tree table can be displayed with tree as well. Period.
    1. Create tree and bind data source to the same node as table data source.
    2. Create tree node type and bind it to the same node again.
    3. Create one additional calculated attribute in forementioned node (type boolean) that inverts/negates attribute for table column "hasChildren" to tree node "isLeaf".
    4. That's all.

  • Re: BUG? APEX 4.0: ORA-20503 error editing report with 400+ columns

    Hello Everyone.
    I've run into something quite strange and am hoping you can help me.
    I am using Apex 4.0.1 and Oracle version 10.2.0.5. I've created a "classical" report in which the underlying SQL is a very simple:
    select * from pvtabThe Oracle table pvtab consists of 419 columns, all of which are varchar2(88) and number type. That's it.
    When I run the report, al of the columns show up as expected.
    However, when I go into the "Report Attributes" tab and click on one of the fields (any of them, it doesn't matter which one), I immediately get the following error:
    ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "598CAA7B68746A66F4B99E1512C36DED" application checksum = "0"If if replace the "*" with a few actual column names, then I am able to access any of these columns without problem.
    If I put back the "*", I then encounter this error again.
    I have never seen this error with other SQL SELECT statements in which I use the "*" qualifier to retrieve all columns from the table.
    And so, I am wondering if the error is caused because of the large number of columns (419) in my table.
    I've seen this same error mentioned in connection with forms but never with a report.
    So, is there some limit to the number of columns one can have in a "classic" or interactive report?
    Any idea why I would be getting this error?
    Here is the DDL for my table pvtab:

    So, is there some limit to the number of columns one can have in a "classic" or interactive report?Yes. See Oracle® Application Express Application Builder User's Guide Release 4.0, Appendix B: Oracle Application Express Limits.
    Any idea why I would be getting this error?No, but I've replicated it in APEX 4.0.2.00.07 on 11.2.0.1.0 EE using a table of 420 <tt>varchar2(88)</tt> columns:
    >
    ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "50C9BDC0AA1AEF0EB272E9158B2117B4" application checksum = "0"
    >
    Happens whether using <tt>select *</tt> or including all column names in the query. (I know you don't want to type all the column names, but I'd never use <tt>select *</tt> in a production application: always use a proper column list. You can get one without typing by drag-and-drop of a table in most IDEs, or a query from <tt>user_tab_columns</tt>.)
    I hit the problem at 274 columns. Such an arbitrary number leads me to think that the problem is not one of the number of columns per se, but is due to some other limit (possibly a 32K VARCHAR2/RAW buffer somewhere).
    Workaround:
    Updates to the report column attributes are actually being saved, and you can navigate them using the Page Definition tree view as described in Appendix B.
    Getting More Help:
    This is probably a bug. If you have a support agreement with Oracle raise an SR with Oracle Support.
    Also:
    <li>Search the forum using the "ORA-20503" code and other possible terms to see if there's anything relevant. I had a quick look but the only thread in this context recommended an upgrade on an Oracle 9 DB version that's not compatible with APEX 4.0.
    <li>To get the attention of the Oracle APEX team or anyone else who may know more about this problem than we do, edit your original post and change the Subject to be more specific about the actual nature of the problem: <em>BUG? APEX 4.0: ORA-20503 error editing report with 400+ columns</em>, and include your database version/edition and the definition of the <tt>PVTAB</tt> table.
    Finally:
    Somebody's bound to ask, so we might as well get started:
    <li>Why so many columns?
    <li>What requirement is this trying to fulfil?

  • Problem in Tree with in a table

    Hi Experts,
    I have created a WDC which contains the tree with in a table.
    I have created a table in the view and a Master column in it.
    Initially i loaded the tree with some values in my WDDOINIT of my view.
    I have also created the event handler for that Master column i.e., OnLoadChildren event handler.
    I have written some code in it, so that this event handler method will be called when i try to expand a node in the table.
    Unfortunately, the debugger is not getting in to that method, and that event is not being called when i Expand the tree node in the table.
    Please suggest me so that i can complete the assignment.
    Thanks in advance and for all the help given till now.

    Hi
    You can join a hierarchical query as you suggest; you can also use SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH() to identify the subproduct. Here's the kind of query you need - I've used the HR sample data, but you should be able to transform this into products, subproducts etc
    select subproduct.first_name, subproduct.last_name, part.job_id, sum(part.salary), count(distinct part.employee_id)
    from employees subproduct
    left join (
    select level lev
         , sys_connect_by_path(last_name,'/') reportsto
         , sys_connect_by_path(to_char(employee_id,'fm0000'),'/') ancestors
         , substr(sys_connect_by_path(to_char(employee_id,'fm0000'),'/'),7,4) subprodid
         , emp.*
    from employees emp
    start with employee_id = 100 -- like identifying the product
    connect by prior employee_id = manager_id
    ) part
    on part.subprodid = to_char(subproduct.employee_id,'fm0000')
    where subproduct.manager_id=100
    group by subproduct.first_name, subproduct.last_name, part.job_idYou'll see I've used a fixed format connect_by_path (with 4 digits per level) which makes it easy to pull out the second level.

  • TreeTable with inputText column data gets lost in adf 10g

    Hello All. I have a TreeTable in my page with two columns for user inputs. After a node is expanded, the data gets lost... The TreeTable was created using ViewObjects, here is one example of the sql query of one of the ViewObjects:
    select distinct det.cliente id_cliente
    , cust.customer_name descripcion
    , city.id_simcot
    , to_number(null) horas_normales
    , to_number(null) horas_recargo
    , 'CLIENTE' tipo
    from grc_dist_factura dist
    , grc_det_simcot_v city
    , grc_det_dist_factura det
    , ra_customers cust
    where det.id_dist_fact = dist.id_dist_fact
    and cust.party_id = det.cliente
    and dist.id_det_simcot = city.id_det_simcot
    and city.tipo = 'CIUDAD'
    The inputText are mapped to the attributes HorasNormales and HorasRecargo. Those columns does not existe in DataBase, that's why I create them in the View Object in that way.
    This is my TreeTable:

    Can any one help me please?
    bye

    Thanks for the links.
    I checked them up, but first, I noticed they apply to adf 11g, and second none of them use inputText in columns. I really couldn't find a any idea to solve my issue.
    Any other suggestions?
    My problem is that when I expand/collapse a node, the values in the inputTexts are lost. I don't know if I need something else on my page Definition...
    thank you.

  • Current node tree with tooltip_text

    Hello,
    How can i display a tooltip_text for the current node from a tree ?
    I tried with
    :Ctrl.Node_Selected     := Ftree.Get_Tree_Node_Property('BL_TREE.MENU',
    :SYSTEM.TRIGGER_NODE,
    Ftree.NODE_VALUE);
    set_item_property('BL_TREE.MENU',
    tooltip_text,
    :Ctrl.Node_Selected);
    I didn't find something with the build_in set_Tree_Node_Property
    There is a possibility to display an icon for each node ? I build the tree with a record group. How can I do it ?
    Thanks
    Bye

    hi,
    you can set the tooltip-text of the whole treebean according to the currently selected "active" node.
    Try to use the code you already used in a WHEN-TREE-NODE-SELECTED-Trigger.
    It's not possible to have a tooltip-text for each node separately.
    Yes, you can assign an icon to each node. Whn you use a recordgroup to fill the tree, one of the columns of the recordgroup has to be the name of the icon
    If i remember correctly the columns are
    NODE_STATE
    NODE_DEPTH
    NODE_LABEL
    NODE_ICON
    NODE_VALUE

  • Design a single template for multiple reports with different column order

    Hi,
    I need to migrate the existing reports from SQL Server Reporting Services to Crystal Report 2008, and the column order in the report is very important to the clients since clients have existing code to ingest these reports into their database. Now I want to create a single template with lot of parameters for all reports. My question is how I might use one template to create multiple reports with different column orders in the reports?
    For example, client A has the following column order in their report: firstName, LastName, DateBirth, SSN. Client B has the following column order in their report: SSN, DateBirth, LastName, FirstName. Can I use one template to create these multiple reports?
    Thanks in advance.

    -As I mentioned you can find Template Field object in Insert menu of crystal report Designer 2008.
    As soon as you select Template Field object you will be able to see a box beside ur mouse cursor. Drag and drop this box at required place. Now when you place this object in report you will get some thing like this "<TemplateField1>" listed under Formula Fields tree. Double click "<TemplateField1>" formula to add your conditions.
    -I have not tested it for large amount of Customers. However as the number of customer increases the number of conditions will get increased.
    For the customer that want the same ordering of columns you can put those customers under one condition.
        for Example...
              if(?Client in ['clientA','clientA']) then
                        <TableName>.<Field>......
    -What do you mean be 40 columns? Do you mean 40 fields or you want to show 40 columns in report? Please elaborate.

  • ALV Tree with editable checkbox

    Hi all,
    I have a ALV Tree with editable checkbox (for all the parent & leaf  nodes) , as one of the column.On clicking of a button in toolbar , i should get the nodes which are checked in checkbox.
    But the problem is i am not able to get the nodes which are checked through checkbox in the PAI of the screen,when the button is clicked.

  • Oracle 11.2 - Perform parallel DML on a non partitioned table with LOB column

    Hi,
    Since I wanted to demonstrate new Oracle 12c enhancements on SecureFiles, I tried to use PDML statements on a non partitioned table with LOB column, in both Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c releases. The Oracle 11.2 SecureFiles and Large Objects Developer's Guide of January 2013 clearly says:
    Parallel execution of the following DML operations on tables with LOB columns is supported. These operations run in parallel execution mode only when performed on a partitioned table. DML statements on non-partitioned tables with LOB columns continue to execute in serial execution mode.
    INSERT AS SELECT
    CREATE TABLE AS SELECT
    DELETE
    UPDATE
    MERGE (conditional UPDATE and INSERT)
    Multi-table INSERT
    So I created and populated a simple table with a BLOB column:
    SQL> CREATE TABLE T1 (A BLOB);
    Table created.
    Then, I tried to see the execution plan of a parallel DELETE:
    SQL> EXPLAIN PLAN FOR
      2  delete /*+parallel (t1,8) */ from t1;
    Explained.
    SQL> select * from table(dbms_xplan.display);
    PLAN_TABLE_OUTPUT
    Plan hash value: 3718066193
    | Id  | Operation             | Name     | Rows  | Cost (%CPU)| Time     |    TQ  |IN-OUT| PQ Distrib |

    Note
       - dynamic sampling used for this statement (level=2)
    And I finished by executing the statement.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> alter session enable parallel dml;
    Session altered.
    SQL> delete /*+parallel (t1,8) */ from t1;
    2048 rows deleted.
    As we can see, the statement has been run as parallel:
    SQL> select * from v$pq_sesstat;

    Allocation Width                        1             0

    Local Msgs Recv'd                      55            55
    Distr Msgs Recv'd                       0             0
    11 rows selected.
    Is it normal ? It is not supposed to be supported on Oracle 11g with non-partitioned table containing LOB column....
    Thank you for your help.
    Michael

    Yes I did it. I tried with force parallel dml, and that is the results on my 12c DB, with the non partitionned and SecureFiles LOB column.
    SQL> explain plan for delete from t1;
    Explained.

    The DELETE is not performed in Parallel.
    I tried with another statement :

  • Selection in table with Master Column

    Hi,
    can anybody explain me how selection works in table with MasterColumn (TreeByNestingTableColumn)?
    I've created a table with several columns and the "master" one behaves differently from others.
    First of all, leaf elements of master column are not clickable (i.e. I don't receive notification "onLeadSelect" from the table, when user clicks in the cell of leaf element of the column). With expandable elements I receive loadchildren event and can react on selection.
    I'm using TextView as cell editor, will try LinkToAction, may be it will resolve situation, but it's rather workaround as solution
    Second, getLeadSelection doesn't work anymore for the table - it works with indexes of top level elements only.
    However onLeadSelect action brings me selected row number, which I somehow should map to the tree.
    I.e. when I get "25" as selected element, I recursively traverse context node to find 25th element. Which is rather slow operation as for any selection I have to reiterate whole structure and I hope that visual appearance is similar to context element order.
    May be there is simplier ways to get selected element by its index in "flat" list?
    And one another strange thing: first click on the table sends me onLeadSelect "0", but highlight points to the element user clicked - not necessary first one.
    Context node is "single" selection, initLeadSelect=true,
    selection = 0..1 (with 1..1 setTreeSelection doesn't work - method I want to use to be able to select a node in hierarchy on my own)
    all quite similar to other tables I have, which works well. Just the problems with the table, where Master Column is used.
    Thank you!
    Best regards,
    Nick

    >Valery's proposal was to perform reverse traverse from current element to root and summarize parent element indexes.
    It seems to work:
    in method, which sets selection I applied
    // we need to know index of the element not in whole context, but in scope of table-relevant node
    int index = getIndexInContext(selElement, wdContext.currentXXXElement());
    IContextElement curContext = wdContext.currentContextElement();
    int firstVisibleRow = curContext.getTableFirstVisibleRow();
    int visibleRows = curContext.getTableVisibleRows();
    if (index < firstVisibleRow || index > firstVisibleRow + visibleRows) {
    curContext.setTableFirstVisibleRow(index);
    and method getIndexInContext looks as:
        private int getIndexInContext (IWDNodeElement element, IWDNodeElement root) {
              int index = element.index();
              if (element == root) {
                   return index;
              IWDNodeElement parent = element.node().getParentElement();
              if (parent == null) {
    // do whatever you like here for error diagnostic
                   myMsgMgr.reportException("Internal Error: getIndexInContext - element is not under passed root", false);
                   return 0;
              // +1 - every level adds 1 (otherwise indexes of first children of hierarchy will be 0)
              return  index + getIndexInContext(parent, root) + 1;
    Best regards,
    Nick

  • Treeview with multiple columns

    I googled alot about creating a treeview with multiple columns similar to a listview in details mode with the added benefit of nodes and roots. I got some answers but I was wondering if visual 2008 itself has such an option, and if not what is my best
    choice?
    Debra has a question

    I just wanted to know if in the visual studio 2008 itself there is an option to have a multi column treeview or a listview with nodes...
    Debra has a question
    Hi Debra,
    >> a multi column treeview
    As far as I know, the standard Microsoft .NET TreeView does not support columns, and if you want a tree control that supports columns, you could turn to the link from Tony:
    #TreeView with Columns
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/23746/TreeView-with-Columns
    >>a listview with nodes
    I made a research about “a listview with nodes” and found no results. I checked the ListView Class and did not find information about nodes.
    Best Regards,
    Edward

  • CS3: Treeview with 7 columns: Problems!

    Hi
    I like to have a listbox with 7 columns, one icon and 6 strings. I try to implement that using a treeview.
    Is that possible?
    I implemented my data model, the adapter, the widget manager: I think I have all I need. But something is wrong. When I run my plugin I have the following error message:
    "Assertion failed! ... Message: Too many char strings!!! ...".
    Any ideas?
    How can I implement a list box with more than one column? Not with the tree view?
    I have another treeview with one string, this works fine.
    Thanks for the support.
    Hans

    Hi
    I think I have found the reason for the error message. It seams to have another reason than the tree view.
    One more thing: I like to display the treeview in a panel. I have declared it in my fr-file and have implemented the classes. But there is no call to the method ApplyDataToWidget in the widget manager and the tree view isn't shown.
    I have implement it like another tree view I use in a dialog and this works.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Hans
