Tabbed Panel (default)

Hi,
I need some help.
I created a tabbed panel with 3 tabs. In tab 3 I have got a google map.
that works fine, if i set the tab3 as default. but this is what i dont want.
if i set tab1 default the map is not centered.
now my question.
how can i leave tab3 as default and in the page if it loads for the first time it quickly jumps to tab1.
default is tab3 but during page load, a virtual click should make tab1 be the first to see.
does that work?
Denis

I read it,
but I dont know how to use it.
http://www.localhero.de/venue_show.php?ID=4
this is my page.
the map opens in TAB2
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var TabbedPanels1 = new Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels("TabbedPanels1", {defaultTab:1});
//-->
</script>
Where to put the code:
widgetname.showPanel(0);
is this the widgetname: TabbedPanels1
Where can I put that code?
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var TabbedPanels1 = new Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels("TabbedPanels1", {defaultTab:1});
widgetname.showPanel(0);
//-->
</script>
I am not familiar with JS.

  • Spry Tabbed Panel Defaults to home page with recordset paging

    I have Spry ver. 1.6.1.  A Spry Tabbed Panel titled "Check Ride Activity Report" (Tab 6)  accesses a mysql database and shows the records in a table format.  Instead of having all the records display at once I want to limit the records displayed to a few at a time. e.g. 5 per page.   I added a recordset navigation bar and set the $maxRows_GetChkRideRecs = 5;  It works but each time the navigation bar "Next" or "Last" or "First" or "Previous" is clicked the page reloads with the default Home page Tab displayed.  The user then has to click on Tab 6  to view the new results.  The url where this can be viewed is at http://Training.reliantair.com.  Is there a way to code this tab so that Tab 6 remains the default tab once it is selected until the user selects another tab?
    I want to avoid putting another  button on the page to accomplish this as shown in the spry utils samples where the user clicks to set the default tab.
    Can this be done within the recordset paging code similar to how it is done on a form submit to keep the focus on the current tab?

    I didn't try the cookie method suggested.  The tab method listed in spry utils does work but requires an additional button, so I came up with this solution.
    In the Head of the HTML document I put this code.  It searches for the query string in the HREF when any of the record paging buttons is pressed.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="SpryURLUtils.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var params = Spry.Utils.getLocationParamsAsObject();
    if (location.href.indexOf("GetChkRideRecs") != -1  && location.href.indexOf("tab") == -1)
      location.href +="&tab=5#TabbedPanels1";
    </script>
    Then in the body of the HTML document at the bottom of the page  the tabbed panel widget is changed like this:
    var TabbedPanels1 = new Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels("TabbedPanels1",{defaultTab: (params.tab ? params.tab:0)});
    The first time a recordset paging link is  clicked the HREF attribute of &tab=5#TabbedPanels1 is added to the location HREF.  Subsequent clicks of any of the links do not change the HREF because the code looks for "tab" and does nothing if it is found.

  • Tabbed Panels - Default Tab on Mouseout

    Morning!
    I have looked all over the place for the answer to this question but alas...no luck!
    So I'm working on just adding one small bit of functionality for the basic spry tabbed panels; the ability that when the user moves their mouse off of the tabbed panels it resets the focused tab to whatever the declared defaultTab is on the page.
    So how do I set a mouseout event to reset the panel back to the defaultTab?
    Thanks!

  • Why is my tabbed panel defaulting to the third tab, instead of the first one, when my page loads?

    I have a tabbed panel widget on the home page of our website and it is essential that the audience views the content on the first tab when the page loads.
    Thereafter they can click on the other tabs to view content. I have tried using "Arrange" "Bring to Front" by clicking on the object in the layout and also physically dragging the elements in the layers panel [i.e. re-arranging the order of the layers], however the panel view just keeps reverting back to the third panel which is the first in my layers list. When I try to drag this down to the bottom of my layers for this composition the first panel moves physically in the layout to the third panel.
    The idea is to have the one currently showing at the bottom, "Data Centre..", ALWAYS showing on the top and the one currently showing on the top, "Engineering &.." , ALWAYS showing on the bottom. As I said before, physically re-arranging the order of the layers is not working either.

    Me too. Anyone else got this problem?
    I have 3 panels and no matter how i order the layers it always loads the right-most one first

  • Spry Tabbed Panels - Start with no default tab??

    Hi all,
    Is there any way that I can have a spry tabbed panels widget
    and NOT have any tabs open when the page loads? I want to put
    multiple tabbed panel widgets on one page for an artist's
    discography
    example:
    Singles
    - tab 1 - tab 2 - tab 3 - etc. etc.
    Albums
    - tab 1 - tab 2 - tab 3 - etc. etc.
    Misc
    - tab 1 - tab 2 - tab 3 - etc. etc.
    I just want the page to look clean and compact - I don't want
    any default tab to display. Is this possible? I looked on the Adobe
    customization help for the widget but I can't seem to find an
    answer. I managed to achieve this by deleting the
    (this.defaultTab); part of this line in the .js file:
    if (this.defaultTab)
    this.defaultTab = this.getElement(this.defaultTab);
    But when I did this, if I created multiple widgets, the
    second widget and so on's tabs would not work properly, for some
    odd reason. I'm kind of a newbie so I apologize for not making much
    sense.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Help! Refresh default tabbed panel

    Hi,
    I have a problem with my spry tabbed panels. The default tab
    is set to be the 1st tab, when I move to 2nd tab and navigate
    through the content, as the page refreshes, and before it is fully
    loaded it shows the content of the first tab for about 20 seconds
    or so....then the page finally goes to the desired content on the
    2nd tab....
    How can I make it so this does not happen and it looks like a
    smooth transition as I navigate through my pages?
    Thanks,
    Brandan98

    Hi Ken:
    When I insert a new spry panel it appears with all the css from the other page.
    When I began to make changes the other page reflexs those changes.
    Don't know how to get a separate SpryCss sheet. Do you?

  • How to use php variable for default tabbed panel

    I have a tabbed panel and with tabs labelled with the days of the week.  What I want to do is open up the tab that correspond to the current day.  I have been using the following to get the day in 3 char format:
    <?php
    $jd=cal_to_jd(CAL_GREGORIAN,date("m"),date("d"),date("Y"));
    echo(jddayofweek($jd,2));
    ?>
    What I want to do is replace the value for the default tab in the following statement with a variable that matches the day returned with a number:
    var TabbedPanels1 = new Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels("TabbedPanels1", {defaultTab:1});
    Please could anyone advice?

    Hi,
    BIND_VARIABLE is useful when you have only IN variable but in your case you have IN and OUT.
    I don't know if you use the gateway for MS SQL SERVER or HSODBC/DG4ODBC but here how you can do to call a remote procedure with bind variables:
    DECLARE
    ret integer;
    inp varchar2(255);
    outp varchar2(255);
    BEGIN
    inp :='Hello World';
    outp :='';
    ret := "dbo"."in_out_proc_test"@tg4msql( inp, outp);
    dbms_output.put_line('Input value: ' ||v_ut1||' - Output value: '||v_ut2);
    END;
    The MS SQL Server procedure belongs to the user "dbo" and the database link
    being used is tg4msql.
    The following line initilaize the out variables of the procedure with an
    empty string:
    outp :=''
    I hope it helps you.

  • Tabbed Panel issue. Need to default to users last choice.

    My issue is that I can not seem to find the code to force the tabbed panel to default to that tab viewed by the viewer. So if you use this spry to navigate a larger website, on the refresh, the spry always defaults to the zero position. I need it to default to whatever page that user was interfacing on.

  • Issue related to Panel Tabbed- How to mark a particular tab as default tab

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue where I want to make a showDetailItems Tab the default one. Currently every time the panel tabbed gets loaded I get the previously opened tab as disclosed.
    Making Disclosed true for one particular showDetailItem and false for others doesn't solve the problem, infact there is no change in the behavior.
    Can somebody suggest a solution.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    You can set the disclosed property of hte one detail to ture which you like to open when you first enter the page
    <af:showDetailItem ... disclosed="true"...>If you like you can use EL to calculate the value...

  • Designate a tab in a tabbed panel as the default start tab on page load?

    How can I designate a tab in a tabbed panel as the default start tab on page load? Anyone know?

    Hi Lightcatcher,
    By default, the first tab opens when a page loads. You can drag the tabs left/right and make the desired tab first tab.

                  <p> <img src="../../../Images/Bali Scenes General/panoramic-views.jpg" alt="views" width="183" height="140" align="left" />Over the last few of years, investors have been targeting the northern area,  principally along the coastline ,  with its variety of pristine black sandy beaches, pebble beaches and rugged coastline, offering a variety of activities; scuba diving, snorkelling,  water sports, fishing, sailing. trekking  gives this area the potential to be world-class tourist destination. Research has shown that  property prices are set to rise above the average due to increased infrastructure development, and the planned opening of a new International Airport in the North shows the Bali Government's commitment to the develop this area as a future tourist destination.<br />

                  <p> The main tourist area in the North is arguably <span style="color: #F00">Lovina</span>, with property prices reflecting this especially beach front or with panoramic views so expect to see prices a little bit more expensive in and around this area.                     The area of the North of Bali travelling East from <span style="color: #F00">Lovina</span> towards the eastern part of Bali is quieter and more rural, with stunning coastline and secluded traditional village life, here life slows down, people are very friendly and happy to integrate with &quot;Bule (Foreigner), this life style is definitely completely different to the hustle and bustle of the South of Bali, perfect for future development and peaceful retirement, and with the development of the new <span style="color: #F00">International Airport</span> in this area, about 1/2 way between <span style="color: #F00">Singaraja</span> and <span style="color: #F00">Almpura</span> in the East, which makes this area an ideal investment opportunity as property and land prices are set to grow in this part of North Bali faster than other areas.<br />

                    <img src="../../../Images/Bali Scenes General/img_bali_1.jpg" alt="Quiet Lanes" width="189" height="124" hspace="2" align="left" />It has to be said that facilities for schooling, medical services and shopping are not as good as in the South or around Ubud area, which have higher concentrations of  established ex pat communities, and better facilities  also the job opportunities are not anywhere near as plentiful as in the South or Ubud areas, which limits the lifestyle for many people looking to settle in Bali, careful consideration has to be given if your intention is for a place for you to reside, and it is possibly an area for consideration as an investment opportunity, or for a development of hotel or villa resort, or as a second retirement home. </p>
                  <p>There are of course facilities for all the usual services and plenty of job opportunities, and a small but growing ex-pat community, especially in and around <span style="color: #F00">Lovina</span> and <span style="color: #F00">Singaraja</span> just not as many as in the other popular areas for ex pat's. </p>
