Hi,
Could you please help me.
I required to know if a program is being executed in a specific moment.
If you know any table or a function, than indicates if a program is being executed in that moment please tell me.
I search for a function and found this one, but i dont know how to use it.

  • How to get information of 'include file', 'table', 'function' from the prog

    Hi all.
    I wanna know which 'include file', 'table', 'function' is used in the program.
    Firstly, I prepared user interface for entering the name of program.
    Secondarly,
    I made the way to confirm whether the program is exising or not by using TADIR.
    And I must use CROSS for getting information of function.
    But at the same time, I will use 'RS_GET_ALL_INCLUDES', 'RS_GET_TABLE_REFERENCES' for getting information of include file or table.
    After that, I have to report by using ALV.
    Then, I will use both of string getting from function by using above function and internal table getting from CROSS.
    How do I put together in  INTERNAL TABLE.

  • Duplicate Rows In Oracle Pipelined Table Functions

    Hi fellow oracle users,
    I am trying to create an Oracle piplined table function that contains duplicate records. Whenever I try to pipe the same record twice, the duplicate record does not show up in the resulting pipelined table.
    Here's a sample piece of SQL:
    /* Type declarations */
    TYPE MY_RECORD IS RECORD(
    MY_NUM INTEGER
    TYPE MY_TABLE IS TABLE OF MY_RECORD;
    /* Pipelined function declaration */
    FUNCTION MY_FUNCTION RETURN MY_TABLE PIPELINED IS
    V_RECORD MY_RECORD;
    BEGIN
    -- insert first record
    V_RECORD.MY_NUM = 1;
    PIPE ROW (V_RECORD);
    -- insert second duplicate record
    V_RECORD.MY_NUM = 1;
    PIPE ROW (V_RECORD);
    -- return piplined table
    RETURN;
    END;
    /* Statement to query pipelined function */
    SELECT * FROM TABLE( MY_FUNCTION ); -- for some reason this only returns one record instead of two
    I am trying to get the duplicate row to show up in the select statement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Table Functions, Direct Database Requests, and NUMBER data types

    Hello. I call a number of table functions from our BI Enterprise server, and I've elected to do so using Direct Database Requests (I believe you can also call table functions in the physical layer of the repository, but that's not what I'm doing). The problem is that whenever I return any number from the table function that is not a whole number (1.23, for example), BI assigns the INTEGER datatype to the field instead of the DOUBLE datatype, thereby rounding my number to the nearest integer. Here's a concise example:
    Create these 3 database objects:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE my_row AS OBJECT (my_num NUMBER);
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE my_tab AS TABLE OF my_row;
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION my_table_function RETURN my_tab
    PIPELINED IS
    BEGIN
    PIPE ROW(my_row(1.23));
    END;
    Then make this your query in your Direct Database Request:
    SELECT my_num FROM table(my_table_function);
    That query correctly returns "1.23" when it's called from the database. In BI, on the other hand, it returns "1" (and labels the field an INTEGER instead of DOUBLE data type). If in the Direct Database Request you change the Column Properties ->Data Format -> Decimal Places from 0 to 2, it then not surprisingly displays "1.00". I then tried changing MY_ROW.MY_NUM's datatype by explicitly specifying precision, and no luck. BI still labels this field as an INTEGER. Then I started trying to trick BI by massaging the SQL statement itself. None of the following worked:
    SELECT to_number(my_num) as my_num2 FROM table(my_table_function);
    SELECT my_num2 + 0.01 as my_num3 FROM (SELECT my_num - 0.01 AS my_num2 FROM table(my_table_function));
    SELECT to_number(to_char(my_num)) as my_num2 FROM table(my_table_function);
    SELECT to_number(substr(to_char('x'||my_num),2)) as my_num2 FROM table(my_table_function);
    Now I did find a solution, but I'm surprised that I have to resort to this:
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT /*+ NO_MERGE */ my_num FROM table(my_table_function));
    Does anyone out there know of a better way to do this? The above is a hack in my opinion. :)
    Thanks in advance for any input.
    -Jim

    Yes, it's really amazing.
    But I got it.
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE my_row AS OBJECT (my_num NUMBER(10,2));and in your SQL :
    SELECT cast(my_num as double precision) as my_num2 FROM table(my_table_function);I have the good result and I see the numbers after the comma.
    Very tricky !

  • How to find out when a program was last executed

    Hello,

What are the possibilities in ABAP to out when a Program (report) was last executed? Is there a function Modul that can give you when a program was last executed? OR is there a table to show you when a program was last executed?

  • How to use the Table Function defined  in package in OWB?

    Hi,
    I defined a table function in a package. I am trying to use that in owb using Table function operator. But I came to know that, owb R1 supports only standalone table functions.
    Is there any other way to use the table function defined in a package. As like we create synonyms for functions, is there any other way to do this.
    I tryed to create synonyms, it is created. But it is showing compilation error. Finally I found that, we can't create synonyms for functions which are defined in packages.
    Any one can explain it, how to resolve this problem.
    Thank you,
    Regards
    Gowtham Sen.

    Hi Marcos,
    Thank you for reply.
    OWB R1 supports stand alone table functions. Here what I mean is, the table fucntion which is not inculded in any package is a stand alone table function.
    for example say sample_tbl_fn is a table function. It is defined as a function.It is a stand alone function. We call this fucntion as "samp_tbl_fn()";
    For exampe say sample_pkg is a package. say a function is defined in a package.
    then we call that function as sample_pkg.functionname(); This is not a stand alone function.
    I hope you understand it.
    owb supports stand alone functions.
    Here I would like to know, is there any other way to use the functions which are defined in package. While I am trying to use those functions (which are defined in package -- giving the name as packagename.functionname) it is throwing an error "Invalid object name."
    Here I would like know, is there any other way to use the table functions which are defined in a package.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Gowtham Sen.

  • How to call c functions that expects c structs from java program?

    i need to call from my java program to c functions that get
    c structs as a parameters in their prototype.
    as you probablly know java is not working with structs (classes only), so my question is how can i do it , i mean call the c functions that gets structs as parameters form java????

    i believe your c function can accept a jobject and then inside your c function you have to translate that jobject into a c struct by using the jni methods.
    the only reason your c function cant accept structs from java is because java does not have such structures. your c function can accept any data type that has been defined and a jobject has been defined.
    if you have no control over the c functions that are being called, you need to write a wrapper function for those c function. the wrapper functions do the translation from jobject to a struct...then call the c other c functions.

  • How to define a view on a table function

    I have a defined a pipelined table function in a package and can return data from it using:
    select * from table(mtreport.FN_GET_JOBS_FOR_PROJECT(?));How can I define a view on this so that users can select from it without having to know to use the 'table' syntax?
    select *
    from   vw_jobs_for_project
    where id = ?I've tried this, but it doesn't work
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW vw_jobs_for_project (PROJECT_ID, NAME) AS

    FROM     table(mtreport.FN_GET_JOBS_FOR_PROJECT(PROJECT_ID));
    ERROR at line 3:
    ORA-00904: "PROJECT_ID": invalid identifier

    views do not accept input parameters in the way that you want to use. you can define a CONTEXT parameter, but the users would need to set the context value before selecting from the view, so you'll still need to train them to do something new.
    example:
    create or replace context my_context using pkg_context;
    <br>
    create or replace package pkg_context is
      procedure set_context(p_parameter in varchar2, p_value in varchar2);
      function get_context(p_parameter in varchar2) return varchar2;
    end;
    show errors
    create or replace package body pkg_context is
      CONTEXT_NAME constant all_context.namespace%type := 'MY_CONTEXT';
      procedure set_context(p_parameter in varchar2, p_value in varchar2) is
      begin
        dbms_session.set_context(CONTEXT_NAME, p_parameter, p_value);
      end;
      function get_context(p_parameter in varchar2) return varchar2 is
      begin
        return sys_context(CONTEXT_NAME, p_parameter);
      end;
    end;
    show errors
    create or replace view tree_view as
    select level lvl, chid
    from tree
    connect by prior parid=chid
    start with chid = sys_context('MY_CONTEXT','CHID');
    -- at runtime
    exec pkg_context.set_context('CHID', 14)

  • How to define a function that returns a void?

    Hi all,

    Hi all,
    Thank you all for your kind responses.
    The scenario I have is I need to insert the value of a particular field into a database table. E.g. MessageId, to keep track of the messages going through XI.
    Naturally, such operations return void. These operations are already encapsulated in a custom jar file.
    My purpose of using a UDF is solely to invoke the operation.
    But I realized I each UDF has to have a return type, and the output of this UDF must be mapped to a node in the outgoing message.
    Currently, my UDF returns an empty string, by using the implementation as below, I manage to perform my desired operation without affecting the result:
    MessageId -- UDF -- CONCAT -
    InstitutionCD_Transformed
    InstitutionCode_____
    But as you can see, this is not an elegant way of doing things.
    That's why I'm seeking alternative solutions for this problem.
    Bhavesh, you mentioned something about doing the operation in the initialization/cleanup section.
    Can you please explain more?
    Thanks.

  • Memory leak in JCO when calling an ABAP-function that returns larg tables

    Hello everybody,
    I think discovered a memory leak in JCO when the calling functionions that have exporting tables with large datasets. For example the ABAP-function RFC_READ_TABLE, which in this example I use to retrieve data from a table called "RSZELTTXT", which contains ~ 120000 datasets. RFC_READ_TABLE exports the data as table "DATA".
    Here a simple JUnit test:
    http://pastebin.ca/1420451
    When running it with Sun Java 1.6 with standard heap size of 64mb I get a heapsize OutOfMemory error:
    http://pastebin.ca/1420472
    Looking at the heap dump (which I unfortunately cannot post here, because of it' size), I can see that I've 65000 char[512] array objects in my heap, which don't get cleaned up. I think, each char[512] array stands for one dataset in the exporting table "DATA", since the table contains 120000 datasets, the heap is full after the first 65000 datasets are parsed. Apparently, JCO tries to read all datasets in memory instead of justing reading the dataset to which the pointer (JCoTable.setRow(i)) currently points to and releasing it from memory after the pointer moves forward ...
    Did anybody else experience this?
    Is SAP going to remove to issue in upcoming versions of JCO?

    Submitted too soon... To change your accelerator key for accesskeys to Alt alone (or a different combination), you can change a setting using Firefox's about:config preferences page.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''ui.k''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Make sure '''ui.key.generalAccessKey''' is set to its default value of -1 (or right-click and choose Reset if it is not).
    (4) Double-click '''ui.key.contentAccess''' to open a dialog box to change the value from its current default (on Windows, 5) to your choice of the following:
    * 2 = '''Ctrl''' (Fx default on Mac thru Fx13)
    * 3 = Ctrl + Shift
    * 4 = '''Alt''' (IE/Chrome/Safari default on Win/Linux)
    * 5 = '''Alt + Shift''' (Fx default on Windows & Linux)
    * 6 = '''Ctrl + Alt''' (Fx default on Mac from Fx14) (Chrome/Safari default on Mac)
    * 7 = Ctrl + Alt + Shift
    This should take effect as soon as you OK the dialog, so you can experiment in a separate tab. Other combinations are available if you want to try them. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.key.contentAccess (inaccessible at the moment?)
