Table Statistics tab

Hi,
Is it possible to have a full timestamp on the LAST_ANALYZED and LAST_ANALYZED_SINCE names?
Thanks,
Alan

Phil,
Thanks for your post. I've tried your suggestion but I think that the issue is a bit deeper than that. The LAST_ANALYZED attribute is from the SYS table all_tables
where it is defined as DATE format; this attribute would need to be re-defined as a timestamp in order to display the detail that I require.

  • SQK Developer 3.0.03 generated ORA-0904 on table detail tab

    When I select the table detail tab, I get an error dialog with the following message:
    An error was encountered performing the
    requested operation:
    ORA-00904: "STATUS": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
    Vendor code 904
    Nothing is displayed on the detail tab.
    The same request, against the same database, using SQL Developer 2.1 displays the expected list of parameters and values.

    I have a saved connection for the sys user on that database. All of these connections were imported from the previous version of SQL Developer. All of the connections use the //server/instance style connection identifier.
    When I navigate to the table through the tree that opens under the Sys user:
    "Other Users" -> [userid] -> "Tables" -> [tablename]
    and select the "Details" tab, I get the same error messages as I do when I view the "Details" tab using the connection for the table owner.
    I did not check all tables, but I visited a few new tables (tables created in the last few weeks), and some old tables (ones that were created several years ago). Also, I looked at some tables owned by SYS, such as ASSOCIATION$ and DUAL. All showed the same error message.

  • Import Table Statistics to another table

    Hi,
    Just like to know if I can use dbms_stats.import_table_stats to import table statistics to another table?
    Scenario:
    I exported the table statistics of the table (T1) using the command below.
    exec dbms_stats.export_table_stats('<user>','T1',NULL,'<stat table>');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    And then, I have another table named T2, T1 and T2 are identical tables. T2 does not have statistics (I intentionally did not run gather statistics). I am wondering
    if I can import table statistics from T1 to T2 using dbms_stats package?.
    For what I understand, statistics can be imported back at the same table which is T1 but not for another table using dbms_stat package. If I am wrong, anyone can correct me.
    Thanks

    hi
    just try ;-) you lose nothing probably,
    check afterwards last_analyzed value for that table in user_tables
    if something is wrong, run regular stats

    Hey there,
    I'm currently getting trained in Oracle and one of the questions posed to me were create a table, insert a million rows into it and try to find the number of rows in it. I've tried the following steps to solve this,
    First table creation
    SQL> create table t1(id number);
    Table created.Data insertion
    SQL> insert into t1 select level from dual connect by level < 50000000;
    49999999 rows created.Gathering statistics
    SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('HR','T1');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.Finally counting the number of rows
    SQL> select num_rows from user_tables where table_name='T1';
      NUM_ROWS
      49960410
    SQL> select count(*) from t1;
      COUNT(*)

  • Table statistics delete

    Hi
    Is there any command to delete gathered statistics of a table
    suppose : I have gather table statistics as under
    exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('TEST1','EMP');
    now I want to delete the statistics from the above table EMP
    Regards

    The package dbms_stats is fully documented in the Oracle supplied package and type reference manual for your unknown version of Oracle.
    It has a call to delete statistics.
    As per forums etiquette, please do the obvious first and consult documentation.

  • Re: Unable to see Table statistics on when I click on the Table

    I have lost the ability to see table statistics when I click on the table. I use to be able to click on the table name under the connection window and would get a display of The columns, data, constraints, index,dependencies etc..... Now It does not seem to work any more I tried preferences but I don't seem to be able to change the behavior back to the way it was any suggestions.

    I upgraded to 1.2 and it solved the problem. I would however love to know the settings that control this display.

  • Table as tab separated columns in a file using Java

    I want to design a general java procedure which will take a oracle table name as input and will store the fields of table separated by tabs in a file.
    For this i need to have access to field names of tables as i have to store them as headings.
    How to get field names as strings?
    I know that this can better be created by using file package of oracle and writing a PL/SQL procedure, but it will store it on oracle server machine and i want the file to be on client.
    Any suggestions?
    -Sameer

    In addition to having the data in the Oracle data dictionary, if you're writing a Java program you'll presumably be using JDBC which has a variety of MetaData classes that expose this sort of information.
    If you're looking for speed, you might also search asktom.oracle.com for "SQL Unloader" which is a Pro*C program Tom Kyte wrote for this sort of thing.

  • How to delete columns in table control (tab Services) for transaction ME51

    Hi, gurus!
    We're facing this problem in our upgrade: we have a batch input (ME51) in order to create purchase requisitions, but we get an error with the dynpro data (program: SAPMM06B, dynpro: 0102).
    We are sure we populate all the required fields in that screen.
    The only possible reason we find for that error is the fact  that we have two new entries in table control (in tab services=> Current settings there are 67 fixed columns)
    We had to add in table T162V (which previously had only 65 columns for each variant): ESLL-SRVMAPKEY y ESLL-EXTERNALID, as described on note 1382685, so table control and table T162V could have same number of fields.
    We guess we could solve the batch input error deleting those fields in both table control and T162V, but don't know how.
    We really would appreciate any clue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    J. Madariaga

    It's an own batch input.
    The error is: "Batch input information for dynpro SAPMM06B 0102 does not exist", but the fields in that screen are alright.
    And that batch input works fine in another client with same patch level, but without fields ESLL-SRVMAPKEY and ESLL-EXTERNALID in table T162V, so I guess that could be the problem (not sure about it, of course).

  • Different Ways To Gather Table Statistics

    Can anyone tell me the difference(s), if any, between these two ways to refresh table stats:
    1. Execute this procedure which includes everything owned by the specified user
    EXEC DBMS_STATS.gather_schema_stats (ownname => 'USERNAME', degree => dbms_stats.auto_degree);
    2. Execute this statement for each table owned by the specifed user
    analyze table USERNAME.TABLENAME compute statistics;
    Generally speaking, is one way better than the other? Do they act differently and how?

    In Oracle's automatic stats collection, not all object are included in stats collection.
    Only those tables, which has stale stats are taken for stats collection. I don't remember on top of my head, but its either 10% or 20% i.e. the tables where more than 10% (or 20%) data has changed are maked as stale. And only those stale objects will be considered for stats collection.
    Do you really think, each and every object/table has to be analyzed every day? How long does it take when you gather stats for all objects?

  • Oracle table statistics

    Dear All Members,
    Is there any way where we can check whether current statistics in table are outdated in oracle? In OTN i found using view "DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS" we can gather timestamps of statistics
    But can we use this to compare the quality of statistics in DB tables?
    Regards,
    Shanaka.

    Hi Shanaka,
    As far as I know that the DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table used to collect quality of statistics value by SAP, also. There's only one exception that at the first step, without paying an attention to the DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS records, the system creates new statistics by using "-f stats -t all" parameters. At the second and further steps, new stats will be created for the tables that are need to be collected.
    In short, because of the DB20 transaction reflects DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table to store quality of the table stats, both values should be same.
    In addition to the information above, you can read the notes, below;
