Tabstrips help.......

if there are three tabs in first tab i have to take 2 input values and in second tab i have to give the operations(+,-,*,/) then in third i have to display the result ... how to solve this problem ...........please help me.........

Should be relatively straightforward.
First define your screen, then create tabs, and thirdly define your subscreens, for each tab.
1st Tab, display 2 fields open for input.
2nd Tab, display all your operations, perhaps in a column format, then you can use the cursor line to know what row they picked.
3rd tab, ensure that 2 fields are not null, ensure that operator field is not null, if this is true then complete calculation to 1 field on the screen.

I replaced htmlb tabstrips in my code by xhtmlb tabstrips.But after this,the javascipt in my code has stopped working and the pages are showing javascript error .Why is this happening? Is it because of using xhtmlb ?Please help.

I am finding difficulty with the tabstrip control.i have created 3 tabs one for mara,marc and mard tables.i have to display few fields of these tables in their respective subscreens.using the material number i have to get the values from the table and display it in the respective subscreens.i am getting the output.but if i try to give another value for the material number it is not accepting...it holds the same value i gave before.i tried to use refresh,clear to clear the internal tabes i am using to fetch data.but i am not getting it....also
i want to use f3 function key to go back even if i havent given the value for mandatory fields. can u help me?helpful answers will be rewarded....

Help for HTMLB Tabstrip

Hi,
I have three tabs in my tabstrip control. The tab1 will display a few details as the page is generated.
Now my problem is how to change the tab2 and tab3 with some more details when they are selected.
Besides after clicking tab2 if I go back to tab1 there previous details are not there. How to overcome this?
I am <b>not using MVC approach</b>. Any help and useful codes will be appreciated greatly.

a possibility for you is to make your bsp app stateful and save the incomming data (form_fields of request object) in oninputprocessing to attributes of a application class.

I have a requirement in which I need to display ALV GRID display and in its tool bar 4 butons are required. In the same view down to alv display i want to develop a tabstrip and its functionalities.I have designed classic alv using SALV_WD_TABLE component. I want a good GRID Display, not like flat field names that comes in list display, looking for bulged fields(like what comes for ALV GRID in normal abap) display with print version etc hidden and buttons at the top of ALV. Well Web Dynpro is generally output in HTML so the output formatting is never going to quite look like a desktop application (which is the case with the ALV Grid). You have very little control over the look of the column headers. In fact you can only manipulate what is available via the Portal Theme.
There is a new Tradeshow Plus theme available in NetWeaver 7.01 which uses a gradiant background for the column headers. This gives them a little more depth:

The other option is next year when NetWeaver Business Client version 3.0 comes out, you will be able to render Web Dynpro applications using the NWBC Smart Client Rendering. This will render Web Dynpro applications using desktop libraries instead of HTML/Browser. This gives Web Dynpro a more SAPGUI/Desktop appears of course.

Hi,
please go through the functionality of tabstrips.
basically they are placed on tabstrips.
so they dont have their own ok codes and call screen and set screen ( to best of my knowledge )
can not be used.
if you are using set screen remove them.
even without using set screen if you are gettig the error, please let us know.

I am working on PM UI development. We have created 5 webdynpro components and all have seperate application and link to run. Now we have requirement in which we should have a single window and all components should exist in different tabs.
Till now I have used Tabstrip in a single copmponent and have no idea how to fix this issue. Could you please help me out to get this done ASAP.

One option that you can try now is to create a new webdnpro component with a tabstrip.
1. To each of the tab area you attach view container.
2. In the used components of webdynpro component tab you can add each of the components that you created
3. Create inboud plugs for each of these application that you created.
4. When the tab is pressed trigger a call to the inbound plug of the applications

Execution of Report with Tabstrips in Background Mode

              I have used 2 tabstrips in my report. When I choose the second tabstrip, give the related I/P's and then execute in Background mode. The O/P generated is coming for the 1st tabstrip instead of what I'd selected.
How could I execute the report in Background Mode for my Second Tabstrip? Any changes to be done in my Coding?

Dynamic creation of TabStrip

Hi,
I want to create a tabstrip dynamically.The tabstrip should have 3 tabs, and in each of the tabs i want to put some UI elements like a label, input field, dropdown, tables.........etc.
Im able to create the tabstrip and add tabs to it dynamically.
I've even created the UI elements which i wanted to put in the tabs.............But im not able to proceed as i dont know how to add the UI elements to the tabs.......
Can anyone tell me how to add UI elements to a tab in a tabstrip?

SMARTFORMS STEPS.
1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
5. Open Tcode Smartforms
6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.
10. By right click on page you can create windows or Go to Edit, Node, Create.
11. After creating the window right click on window create table for displaying the data that you are passing through internal table.
12. In the table Data parameter, loop internal internal table (Itab) into work area(wa).
13. In table there are three areas Header, Main Area, Footer.
14. Right click on the Main area create table line by default line type1 is there select it.
15. Divide line into cells according to your need then for each cell create Text node.
16. In text node general attribute. Write down fields of your work area(wa) or write any thing you want to display.
17. Save form and activate it.
18. Then go to Environment, function module name, there you get the name of function module copy it.
19. In your program call the function module that you have copied from your form.
20. In your program in exporting parameter of function pass the internal table(itab).
SAP Smart Forms is introduced in SAP Basis Release 4.6C as the tool for creating and maintaining forms.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
To print a form, you need a program for data retrieval and a Smart Form that contains the entire from logic. As data retrieval and form logic are separated, you must only adapt the Smart Form if changes to the form logic are necessary. The application program passes the data via a function module interface to the Smart Form. When activating the Smart Form, the system automatically generates a function module. At runtime, the system processes this function module.
You can insert static and dynamic tables. This includes line feeds in individual table cells, triggering events for table headings and subtotals, and sorting data before output.
You can check individual nodes as well as the entire form and find any existing errors in the tree structure. The data flow analysis checks whether all fields (variables) have a defined value at the moment they are displayed.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.
