TaskFlow Train keep context

Hi,
I have two pages one is containing some search screen an the other contains a complicated train.
When I enter the train steps and fill the form , i want to navigate to the search page and then back to the train from wher I left with all the form filled.
How Can I manage to do this?
Regards
Jo

Hi there,
I would recommend you to weigh savePoints for implementing your use case. Check at this two articles: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/06-cancelform-java-169125.pdf and http://xmlandmore.blogspot.com/2010/03/understanding-task-flow-transaction-and.html

  • Invoking popup with taskflow train accepting parameters from a  region

    Hi All,
    I would like to know the best practice to implement the following use case. Jdeveloper used is Jdev11g.
    I have a taskflow DND as a region. The refresh property is set to if needed so that region is loaded when the input parameter is changed. The region displays the table and the contents of the table is modified in a another task flow train which is DND as a region in a popup and the popup is invoked on button click. The taskflow train in the popup accepts input paramters and the refresh is set to if Needed. The popup has to be closed at the end of task flow and also the parent region should be refreshed to reflect the updated value.
         I was not able to control the order of execution of action listener of button(to set the parameters required task flow) and show popup behavior( to invoke the popup). Show pop up behavior is executed before action listener and hence the parameters are not properly passed to the task flow.
    Here are few queries:
    1.To work around the above problem, we implemented a client listener to find and show the pop up.Is this the right way to do it?.
    2.Also at the end of the taskflow train taskFlowReturn returns to head of the task flow and the popup still remains in the window. We implemented a region navigation listener to identify the end of the task flow and hide the popup(is this right?).
    3.To refresh the parent region we find the component in the view tree and do region.getRegionModel().refresh(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance())( is this the right way to do it).
    4. The parameters are not passed properly when the table from which popup with taskflow train is invoked is the detail table of Master-detail relationship.

    Prakash

    Ok Frank,
    That is what I did. I would to report a bug, This is not working when the train is in dialog mode, then it crashes when I try to leave the child taskflow. In not dialog mode it works perfectly.
    Is it possible to get the train button bar working in the child train taskflow
    thanks Edwin

  • [taskflow, train]Giving name to train stop

    Hi,
    how to give a name to a stop, when train is dropped in the UI ?
    Fred

    How do I change the label for the train stop in the train component? - Again easy. Select the train stop (view activity) in the diagram and look at the property inspector, choose the Train Stop tab and set the value of display-name property to a string or an EL Expression. If you look at the XML this results in a structure like this:
    <view id="page1">
    <page>/page1.jspx</page>
    <train-stop>
    <display-name>My Custom Label</display-name>
    </train-stop>

    the train bar is not linked to a train model. You need to reference #{ControllerContext.currentViewPort.taskFlowContext.trainModel} from the trainButtonBar to make it work

  • Train Stop Lables not Visible

    Hi All,
    I'm using Jdeveloper REL1 PS2 with ADFBC
    I'm having a problem getting my train stop labels to render. Besides the train stop label not being visible, everything else is working as advertised. I can navigate though the train stops, the data on my pages appears as expected.. etc.
    Here is what I've done so far:
    1. I created a bounded taskflow with page fragments and checked "create train" checkbox.
    2. In my task flow, I've assigned *<display-name>* values to each view activity participating in the train. See code below. According to the documentation I've read, this is what I need to set to label my train stops. However, when I run my task flow in a region, the the labels are not visible.
    I've read section 18.8 in the Fusion Developer's guide, I've followed examples in these two blogs:
    http://biemond.blogspot.com/2007/11/taskflow-train-in-jdeveloper-11g.html
    http://biemond.blogspot.com/2008/06/advanced-taskflow-train-features.html
    I've read previous posts regarding this issue like the this one:
    Re: Creating ADF Train
    Which states *"In Task flow click the View activity in structure window Right click Choose > insert inside > Display name and set the value to it."*
    I also went through the train taskflows and pages in the Fusion Order Demo app and I cannot see how my implementation of the taskflow or how I'm adding the af:train component to my .jsff pages is different from the examples that I've found.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    You need to first name the view activity to desired name first and then change the display name.You will find a good example in JDeveloper Help Topics under Cue Cards>Work with ADF Technologies>Implement a Multi-Step page Flow with ADF Train>Step 2
    For Ex:
    In the Application Navigator, select the ViewController project and open the Create Task Flow dialog. Enter train-flow.xml in the File Name field. Select both Create as Bounded Task Flow and Create with Page Fragments. Then select Create Train and click OK.
    From the Component Palette, ADF Task Flow page, Components panel, drag View and drop it on the blank canvas in the diagrammer. Rename the activity to start. Repeat the procedure to add three more view activities, using the following names: addresses, payment, review.
    Drag and drop Task Flow Return on the diagram. Accept the default name of taskFlowReturn1. In the Component Palette, click Control Flow Case. On the diagram, click the review icon, then click the taskFlowReturn1 icon. Rename the control flow case element to commit.
    In the Structure window, expand view - start . Right-click train-stop and choose Insert inside train-stop Display Name. In the Property Inspector, enter Start in the Display Name field. Repeat the procedure in step 6 to add train stop display names to the remaining view activities: view - addresses , view - payment, view - review . Use the following values, respectively: Addresses, Payment, Review. In the Application Navigator, select the ViewController project and open the Create Task Flow dialog again. Enter childtrain-flow.xml in the File Name field. Make sure Create as Bounded Task Flow and Create with Page Fragments are selected. Then select Create Train and click OK. From the Component Palette, drag View and drop it on the diagrammer. Rename the activity to billing. Repeat the procedure to add one more view activity, using the name shipping. Drag and drop Task Flow Return on the diagram. Change the name to childFlowReturn1. Draw a Control Flow Case from shipping to childFlowReturn1. Rename the case element to done. In the Structure window, expand view - billing. Right-click train-stop and choose Insert inside train-stop Display Name. In the Property Inspector, enter Billing in the Display Name field. Repeat the procedure in step 13 to add
    Hope this helps!

  • 1023 WARN: No client context space available in handler

    Hi Users,
    I'm getting below tuxedo warning in ULOG:
    "1023 WARN: No client context space available in handler"
    I did google for above error and got below results from one of oracle documentation website for Tuxedo:
    " Description
    While setting up a connection for a new workstation client, the WSH ran out of room to keep context for clients.
    Action
    This error should occur rarely since the WSL transfers control of workstation client connections to WSH programs based on their current degree of multiplexing. Contact BEA Customer Support. "
    Does anyone had any clue to rectify this issue.
    Regards
    Fakhruddin.

    Hi Todd,
    WSL SRVGRP=CLIENT SRVID=200
    # -t to support pre Tuxedo 7.1 clients
    #CLOPT=" -t -- -n //<hostname>:<hostport> -x 10"
    CLOPT=" -t -- -n //austria:10008 -x 30 -T 30"
    SEQUENCE=100
    #Second workstation listener.
    WSL SRVGRP=CLIENT SRVID=205
    CLOPT=" -t -- -n //austria:10000 -c 4096 -K both -H //127.0.0.1:MMMM -p 10050 -P 10050 -T 30"
    RESTART=Y MAXGEN=5
    SEQUENCE=100
    # ConnectStore Citrix listener
    WSL SRVGRP=CLIENT SRVID=210
    CLOPT=" -t -- -n //austria:10100 -p 10101 -P 10104 -x 50 -H //172.16.48.108:10100 -T 20"
    RESTART=Y MAXGEN=5
    SEQUENCE=100
    Note: This is the same WSL config posted in last replies. Again posted just for quick reference.
    As per the above configuration for WSL, the first WSL configuration supporting unlimted or any number of user session at a time, so this WSL hopefully wont give me any error. The second WSL has only one port so it can support at most 10 session at any given time and the third one has 4 ports so max session suported is 200 at any given time. Second WSL configuration is enough to support that many session but still the error is coming from this WSL only. Third WSL configuration is fine because at any given not more than 120 - 130 sessions are active.
    So the error is basically coming from second WSL. Will increasing the multiplexing factor from 10 (by default) to 50 really help us? Is there any other factor which could results in this type of errors? Kindly suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    Fakhruddin.

  • Want help to execute the programm of MethodEntryEvent

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a programm for automatic logging in the programme. I took the hepl of java API and the Google site for searching some programms and successed also. but while running these sample programms i am getting classNotFound exception and some other exceptions also. i executed the programm Seq.java downloaded from the site http://search.cpan.org/src/PHILCROW/UML-Sequence-0.05/java/Seq.java. i am not able to understand how to execute it. what ever i tried its giving the same output whatever defined in the System.err() in the file. but it should display the corrosponding class details for which i need to see the output.
    can anyone help me in this regard and tell me the process to execute the programm.
    i took another e.g. trace example, which (in J2SE 1.4.x or 5.x) will be found in $JAVA_HOME/demo/jpda/examples.jar and unpacking it by

  • Web sphere portal popup windows

    Hi,
    I used this forum before with great results maybe some one can help me this time also.
    I'm working in a Websphere Portal project using JSF and RAD6 to create the portlets. I like the way it works execept when I try to create popup windows. How can I create popup windows that they don't keep context the only one I can create is the HelpView page. Is there a way to call other forms from Helpview like a redirect or something like that or is any other way to create popup windows any help or suggestion will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    i have followed line to line as per post installation tasks given in sun site. No logs are generated in policy agent. i.e
    bcoz policy agent is not at all intercepting the request. do we need to do any thing more to add a filter in websphere 6.1
    To give you background:
    This is a clustered enviornment and each node has 3 instances [ appserver,nodeagent, websphere_portal]
    we have installed the policy agent on each of the instances.
    Now when i access the admin interface my policy agent intercept redirect to SSO.
    When i access portal instance policy agent doesnt intercept
    there are no logs generated in accessmanager or policagent.

  • Where can I find a list of names for each component and functions for each component?

    I have a test I need to study for, and we used this program in class during our labs. Is there any place I can find the names of the components and definitions of their exact functions? Thanks.
    If not I'll post pictures of the VI's we created, hopefully this is a simple question though.

    Try the context help.  When you move the cursor over each item, the help window will show a brief description and in most cases a link to detailed help.  It is generally useful to keep context help turned on while programming.

  • Stop processing the duplicate record values

    Hi Experts,
       I have a requirement that i need do not process the duplicate values from the file place in FTP.
    Scenerio is File->PI->RFC.
    For ex:
    Source Data:
          Name,Emp_id,DOB,Designation,Location,Joining_Date,Time_Stamp
          Moni,654654,11-09-1980,Developer,TN,20-02-2008,24-03-2014:3.38pm
          Shiva,654612,21-02-1982,Developer,TN,15-08-2009,24-03-2014:3.38pm
          Venkat,654655,19-01-1983,Developer,TN,28-10-2010,24-03-2014:3.38pm
          Moni,654654,11-09-1980,Developer,TN,20-02-2008,24-03-2014:9.38pm
    If next time the same record comes like Moni,654654,11-09-1980,Developer,TN,20-02-2008,24-03-2014:9.38pm,no need to process this record values.
    How to stop processing the duplicate record.Kindly share some ideas to achieve this requirement by using PI 7.1.
    Best Regards,
    Monikandan.

    Hi ,
    Here is one of the clean sol:
    1)Using FCC read record by record by giving end separator as newline in FCC.
    Reading a delimeter separated file whose columns may jumble
    2)Use two mapping in one operation mapping .
    1st Mapping :
    Sourcefield()-->sort(ascending)-->splitbyvalue(valuechange)-->eachvalue-->collapsecontext-->udf-->
    splitbyvalue(eachvalue)-->map to all target fields
    Keep context of source field to top node to come all values in single array
    for(int i=0;i<input.length;i++){
    String temp[] = input[i].split(",");
    if(temp.length == 7)
    Name.addValue(temp[0]) ;
    Emp_id.addValue(temp[1]) ;
    DOB.addValue(temp[2]) ;
    Designation.addValue(temp[3]) ;
    Location.addValue(temp[4]) ;
    Joining_Date.addValue(temp[5]) ;
    Time_Stamp.addValue(temp[6]) ;
    else{throw new  StreamTransformationException("field missing in col "+i)}// up to you
    Mapping 2:Actual file structure to RFC

  • Control User Prop

    Hi,
    I was fixing defects for Siebel Wireless and Came across a Applet where Control User Prop is Set with "Keep Context" to Y. I changed itss value to "N" and got my defect fixed.
    However I wanted to know from where can we find out what are valid "Control User Prop" that can be set and there details as to what they do ? Like for in this case I dont understand what this "Keep Context" does ?
    I tried to look into the Siebel Bookshelf but there is nothing much that helped :-(
    Thanks :-)

    It's an interesting question as a lot of the behaviour of Siebel Wireless seems to be controlled through undocumented user props. I tried to get some info from Oracle but was pointed towards their consultancy service. Where's the fun in that?!
    If anyone has any info on this, I'd be most interested in it - for me, configuring 8.1 Wireless was almost completely trial and error (and lots of copying of existing config), though the results on the iPhone really did impress the execs!

  • IPhone 4S - Text Messages Showing From Phone Number

    I have all of my contacts in my iPhone.
    When someone texts me or I text them, the Message shows from their phone number.
    I've tried updated the programming and that didn't solve it for me.
    Anyone know how to fix this issue?
    I've read on the apple forums this is a Verizon issue.

    stc2sfo wrote:
    I went to the verizon store for assistance and they told me to add a "1" in front of the contact number.  I did do this, and it STILL is showing the number when I receive a text from that contact.
    The other thing I noticed is that when you text a contact by name from your contacts, the text will be stored under their name. HOWEVER when they reply, the text shows up by number without any SMS history.  Its confusing and very strange and does not keep context.
    When you go to the iphone 4s search and look for the number that shows up in SMS, it does not find the number in the contacts list -- search does not search the actual number field which is very frustrating
    I added the 1 and still have the same problems you outlined here as well. I'm thinking this is a patch that's needed and not a phone setting.

  • Customizing the af:commandMenuItem behavior

    Hello, I have a question about the commandMenuItemComponent of ADF faces.. On the menubar, the child items of a first level menu only appears after clicking on the parent's link.. Moreover, when the mouse cursor exits the menu region, it does not close automatically and the sub-menu list remains open on the page..It only disappears after clicking on another link or menu and the page is refreshed..Now,
    1. Is this the default behavior of <af:commandMenuItem/> or is there a problem with my settings, code or conf?
    2. How can I make the menus more responsive, for example when the mouse icon is placed over the parent the submenu list is shown and after mouseexit it is closed automatically again..(for ex just like the top level menubar in oracle technology network index page; http://www.oracle.com/technology/index.html)...
    Thanks in advance..
