Test Scripts cause OPM to freeze

I am on a different project in my company, and on this second project whenever I run the test scripts or open any test scripts, OPM will freeze up. What would cause this? On rules for the other project, things are pretty snappy.
The differences between the two sets is that on the second project (the one that freezes) there are a lot of warnings about inconsistent capitalization, many relationships in the tests are unknown, and many of the relationships in the tests are not containment complete. I am slowly taking care of these issues. Is it possible that any of these could cause testing to be extremely slow?

Hello, it seems that it really is not something i'm installation to make this defect:
is happening to me again, this time I have not even installed anything but to sync the address book.
it is possible to happen when I turn off the PC while the phone is stuck with itunes running?

  • Error opening test scripts in Build and Debug with Screens

    Hello,
    I am testing scenarios in the Build and Debug with screens mode in OPM. I save each scenario as a test script by clicking the Export button and saving. Some test scripts are able to be opened again, yet when I try to open others, I get the error message shown at the link below and am unable to load the test script.
    http://imgur.com/uqh80
    This did not happen previously, it just started today. All of these test scripts were created today, and the attributes have not been changes since the test scripts were created. This is seriously hindering my scenario testing ability.
    Does anyone know how to rectify this problem?
    Thanks,
    Christine

    Hi Kristy,
    I am in OPM 10.2.
    To troubleshoot, I tried redoing the test scenarios that werent working from scratch (rather than building off a previous scenario), and this time it worked. I am not sure why it works now and didnt before, and I am also not sure if they will continue working.
    I will continue creating the scenarios and will be sure to update if it fails again. In the case it does fail, I will try your export recommendation.
    Christine

  • Internet Causes Mac to Freeze Up

    SilSiliMac 27" (Late 2012)
    3.4 GHz Core i7
    32 GB DDR3-1600
    GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB
    OS X 10.8.3
    Safari 6.0.4
    I was watching Netflix on the left side of the screen and reading about computer hardware on the right side, both using Safari. Then the screen froze and the cursor froze one second afterwards. I could still hear audio, but the computer was unresponsive: Force Quit didn't work, mouse didn't move, no keyboard input, etc. I held down the power button to force shutdown and then powered it back up again.
    The same thing happened about an hour later. I did a full system scan for viruses and malware using two different utilities, both of which reported a clean iMac. I checked the hard drive with Disk Utility and got nothing. I started up using Apple Hardware Test (hold D while booting) and did a quick test which reported nothing. The full test, with 32GB of RAM, will take an entire day.
    I have noticed this freezing up when watching video online, mostly through Netflix, but also through YouTube and Vimeo. I thought it was Safari, but I tried it with Firefox, Chrome, and Opera and they all end up freezing at some point. I can't tell how I'm making it freeze or how long it takes to freeze, but it happens when viewing video. It does not happen when watching video through iTunes - only online, regardless of playback method (Flash and   Silverlight both cause it).
    I dual-boot Windows and do not have the problem in Windows 7.
    I thought it might be a problem with my video card, but I can play FIFA and Skyrim for a couple hours without issue. I thought it might be a problem with Flash, but as far as I can tell Netflix uses Silverlight and that was what caused the initial freezes.
    Any ideas?

    I'm not really sure what you're looking for. This is some of the lines from Console before the most recent BOOT_TIME. Then I pasted the contents of System Diagnostic Reports Kernel_2013_04_27 etc., but I don't know if that's what you're looking for. That report was awhile ago, so it doesn't seem like any of my recent problems have been recorded.

  • [CS4/5][JS] Script causes InDesign to crash

    Hello,
    I'm having a bit of an issue with some InDesign scripting i'm working on, and wonder if anyone else has had the same issue.
    I have a script that uses app.dialog to prompt for user information.  It then takes the result of that dialog, and uses it in the script.  Pretty standard so far, and if i run this from the scripts panel, or from ESTK, it works fine.  If I set it up as a Script Menu Action, when I run the script via the menu, it executes, then crashes InDesign.
    I have tried this with multiple dialog's, and each time a dialog is called from a SMA, InDesign crashes.  The following code is fairly pointless, but will cause InDesign to crash when the SMA is run.
    //failTest.jsx
    //Test script will cause InDesign to crash when the SMA is invoked
    //Daniel Cole
    //Wed Jun 09 2010 13:26:47 GMT-0400
    #targetengine "session"
    //set up the SMA and eventListener
    var saTest = app.scriptMenuActions.add("Test SMA");
    var elTest = saTest.eventListeners.add("onInvoke", function()
              alert(testFunc());
    //Check for the menu, and create it if it doesn't exist
    try{
        var menuTest = app.menus.item("$ID/Main").submenus.item("Test");
        menuTest.title;
    catch (e){
        var menuTest = app.menus.item("$ID/Main").submenus.add("Test");
    menuTest.menuItems.add(saTest)
    //test function
    //creates a dialog box with a text edit box
    //returns the content of the text edit box
    function testFunc(){
         testDialog = app.dialogs.add({name:"Enter Text:", canCancel:true});
              with(testDialog){
                   with(dialogColumns.add()){
                        var getTextField = textEditboxes.add({editContents: "Test Text", minWidth:250});
         testResult = testDialog.show()
         if(testResult == true){
              var testText = getTextField.editContents;
              testDialog.destroy();
              return testText;
         else{
              return "No Text Entered";
              myFileDialog.destroy();
    I've tried this on CS4 and CS5, on multiple installs, and it crashes every time.  Can anyone else replicate this?  Is this a known issue?  Is there any way to work around it?
    thanks,

    I don't know exactly why your code crashes ID in some versions, but there are potential issues in using:
    - unneeded global variables in a function scope,
    - the with statement,
    - the "var menuTest" redeclaration in the try...catch,
    - a generic #targetengine "session" directive,
    - menu and menuAction creation procedure without preventing object duplication (beware of application/session persistence),
    - the myFileDialog.destroy() instruction when myFileDialog is unknown (in your original code).
    In order to isolate the "destroy" bug, I suggest you separate the process from the menu installer (see http://bit.ly/cIsZuG for more detail about menu management).
    Here is a possible structure:
    #targetengine "DanielColeTest"
    // YOUR PROCESS
    // Use clean local vars within the func
    var testFunc = function()
         var dlg = app.dialogs.add({
              name:"Enter Text:",
              canCancel:true
         var textField = dlg.dialogColumns.add().textEditboxes.add({
              editContents: "Test Text",
              minWidth:250
         var r = (dlg.show())?
              textField.editContents:
              "No Text Entered - Marc";
         dlg.destroy();
         return r;
    var testInvokeHandler = function(/*onInvoke*/)
         alert( testFunc() );
    // YOUR MENU INSTALLER
    // Encapsulate the routine to avoid duplication issues
    // - a SMA is session-persistent
    // - a menu is application-persistent
    var testInstaller = testInstaller||(function()
         var smaTitle = "Test SMA",
              mnuTitle = "Test",
              subs = app.menus.item("$ID/Main").submenus,
              sma, mnu;
         // 1. Create the script menu action
         sma = app.scriptMenuActions.add(smaTitle);
         // 2. Attach the onInvoke event handler
         sma.eventListeners.add("onInvoke",testInvokeHandler);
         // 3. Create and/or target the menu
         mnu = subs.item(mnuTitle);
         if( !mnu.isValid ) mnu = subs.add(mnuTitle);
         // 4. Create the menu item
         mnu.menuItems.add(sma);
         return true;
    Hope it could help.

    Marc

  • Test Script execution failed.

    I'm getting the Test Script Execution Error - "Test Script execution failed. Reason: The system cannot find the file specifiied"
    This is happening to all my test script files. I can load the test script files, edit the test cases, etc, but cannot execute the test scripts
    If I click on View Test Script Specification, they all come up, and the report shows all the cases in the test script.
    If I look into the directory, they are all there, with the .tsc extension and a file type of TSC
    I created a new TSC this morning, but with the same results
    They were working yesterday. Since then, I did rename one of the test scripts, and changed my build platform from .NET to Java.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Allan Gibson
    P.S. I also now note the my what-if analysis files do not run, and are getting a message: run time error '-2146233088 (80131500)': Batch process has failed. Reason: the system cannot find the file specified (OPA-E00241). When I press the debug button, I'm taken to a screen where the line "Call GetExcelCompilerProxy() .Analyze(ActiveWorkbood)" is highlighted in yellow.

    Hey Allan,
    It looks like it either can't find the Java component it needs to run or the test script for some reason. If you look in the bin directory of the OPM install (which is normally something like c:\program files\Oracle\Policy Modeling\bin) do you see a file called determinations-remote-clr.jar? If not it sounds like something's gone wrong with your install.
    If so, can you run the test script in the standalone debugger? Also, if you look at the absolute path of your test script file, does it contain any non-ascii characters? If so, try removing those characters and see if it works.
    Thanks,
    Kristy

  • Test script specifications

    I was wondering if there is a way of displaying the attribute that has been set in the test script, as the attribute text.
    At the moment the test specs are being generated with long ID's. Most of the attributes that are being set are booleans so at this time haven't been given public names but it seems like creating public names for all attributes is a bit time consuming.
    Without the use of either public names at this point, the test script specs do not make sense to someone who may be viewing them away from OPM
    Hope this makes sense

    The Display Text referred to in those options is actually set on the Outcomes tab of the test script. Since you have outcomes set for each of these booleans, you should simply be able to give them whatever Display Text you want without having to give each of them public names.

  • Issues in Coded UI Test Script bulk execution

    Hi,
           We are using Coded UI  for one of the dotnet web application in our project. We have automated more than 1000 scenarios using Coded UI.  We are using the 4.0 framework.  We have created multiple order tests(OT) with
    80 test scripts in an order test file and give it for execution.
           We have observed that few of the scripts which gets successfully executed in the debug and Run mode are getting failed while executing the same using the order tests. However, if we re-create a new order test by putting the failed
    script as the first script in the order test, then the script is getting passed in the execution, but the others are getting failed.  PFB the example,
    Suppose OT1 has T1,T2,T3 scripts in the same order i,e T1,T2,T3.  all the scripts i,e T1,T2,T3 run perfectly and gets passed individually in the debug mode and run mode.  But if we execute the OT1 using the MsOrderTest Batch file, then only T1
    is getting passed and T2 and T3 are failed.
    In another scenario, if the scripts are ordered as T2,T3 and T1. Then after the OT execution, the result is only T2 is passed, T3 and T1 are failed.
    I could not understand why the scripts are getting failed. Can someone provide some help here.
    Please note:: All the scripts are hand written and not the recorded ones.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi Venkat,
    >> Suppose OT1 has T1,T2,T3 scripts in the same order i,e T1,T2,T3.  all the scripts i,e T1,T2,T3 run perfectly and gets passed individually in the debug mode and run mode.  But if we execute the OT1 using the MsOrderTest Batch file, then
    only T1 is getting passed and T2 and T3 are failed.
    Could you share us the error message screen shot or the details error message about the T2 and T3?
    Based on your description, it seems that it caused by the script. To find the root cause, I will recommend you run the Order Test in the Visual studio. If it could work correctly, I assume that there is something wrong in the script, and it would be helpful
    if you could share us the script. The link below shows how to run tests from Visual Studio.
    # How to: Run Tests from Microsoft Visual Studio
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms182470.aspx
    In my option, you could replace the T1,T2,T3 with other three simple methods in the class to check whether the script could work correctly.
    In addition, I will recommend you to try to run the T1,T2,T3 independent to check whether the result web page of T1 is not the start of the T2.

    Edward

  • Setting timeout for all the web test scripts in the solution

    Hello,
    I have around 16 web test scripts (using VSTS 2010 ultimate version) in my project (in a solution). By default the timeout set for each request is 60 sec. I need to increase the timeout to 180 sec. Currently, I am clicking on each request and modifying
    the timeout parameter from the Properties window.
    Is there any common setting for timeout available which would be acting across all the scripts?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    We only can set Timeouts for a separate request in Visual Studio Web Test. There is no way to set Timeout for all requests in VS IDE. But you can write you own logic code using
    Timeout Property in a web test plugin to set Timeout for all requests in a web test.
    About how to write a web test plugin, please see:
    How to: Create a Web Performance Test Plug-In

  • Importing internal table data from FM to eCATT test script

    Hi all,
    I am working on Workflow project where by i need to post invoices related to purchase orders sent as scanned imaages. Incase all the data in the incoming invoice(scanned) is correct then i am using BAPI_INCOMING_INVOICE_CREATE to post the invoice.
    But when the data is wrong, i need to give the user MIRO transaction pre-populated with the invoice details so that he manually corrects them(after verification) and posts the invoice.
    I understand MIRO is an ENJOY transaction hence BDC doesn't work properly(i have tried with all kinds of options on recording and the problem comes incase of multiple POs) hence i choose to use eCATT.
    The recording worksfine but my real problem is the PO data (multiple PO details for same invoice) is in table form. In all my previous objects related to eCATT we used to upload the file, hence no problem of importing tables.
    But now as i'll call this test script from a function module which has all the POs in the form of internal table, i need to import this into my test script.
    Please any body tell me how to proceed in this case or please suggest me a better a way to record the MIRO.
    Thank you,
    Lakshmi Narayana.S

    Hello Raj,
    First of all thank you for your inputs.
    Yes, I know about Parking an invoice. even i am using it in some scenarios.
    If everything on the invoice matches with the values in SAP then i am posting it using BAPI invoice_create also.
    But for some scenarios like if the PO on the invoice doesnot match with actual PO then i need to create a work item in the Accounts Payable user's inbox and he will change invoice data manually (after getting confirmation and correction) and post it using MIRO.
    Here i need to pre-populate the MIRO with the invoice data so that he can correct and post it.
    Hence i was trying to write a BDC and as MIRO is an Enjoy transaction i thought writing a BDC is not a good idea (i tried writing BDC but had problems) hence i am using eCATT.
    Hope i am clear about my problem. Any inputs to solve this are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Lakshmi Narayana.S

  • Error opening a Test Script inUFT from Solution Manager

    This error is the subject of a call with SAP and HP but I wondered if anyone else has come across this problem.
    We work with Solution Manager 7.1 (SP11) and HP's UFT 11.53 to create automated testing. We ustilise the two free seat licences for UFT that are provided via enterprise support. We do not use HP's Quality Centre.
    On some occasions when trying to open a test script for editing UFT tries to open and then closes again. The error message below is displayed in solution manager.
    “External Test Tool Quick Test Professional Is Busy and Cannot Create a New Test Script”
    When this happens the local cache files are wiped. We have managed to salvage some of these scripts by pasting in copies of the cache file from another PC but some we had to recreate from scratch.

  • Test Scripts for financials modules

    Hi,
    I am looking for detailed test scripts covering all test scenarios for system testing in financials modules. I am interested in Purchasing, Payables, Cash Management, Projects and Fixed Assets. I also need for Receivables and Order Management.
    Do some body have this please let me know. If there is any website or download place where I can get this. Please let me know.
    I am looking for a test script to show the purpose and results clearly including the gl accounts involved and the results in debiting and crediting the accounts in various transactions while doing the test. For ex. when you validate a PO matched invoice in Payables which accounts get affected and how etc.
    Thanks in advance
