  • Is there a key for entering text on ipad mini for the schwa symbol?

Is there a key for entering text on ipad mini for the schwa symbol?

    You're welcome.
It is possible there is an app containing a phonetic keyboard in the app store (or not). I haven't had use for one, so have never checked. Using it would require some copy and past on your part. But it might worth a search.
Oh, just to be clear (should have googled and not trusted my aging memory) you're basically looking for an upside-down "e", right?

  • Text Variable for a Restricted Key Figure

    Hi,
I have a version comparison query three Restricted Key figures based on 0QUANTITY each of which are restricted by Version, Value Type and Fiscal Year. All three are in my query columns. The users select 3 sets of version, value type and fiscal year in the selection for comparison.
They want to see the text of the version they have selected as the description of the column. How can i achieve this with text variables on these 3 Restricted Key Figures which have multiple restrictions. Please advise
    Thanks
    Rashmi.

    Hi Rashimi,
As u said this can be acheived by text Variable,
I have adoubt here, are  there THREE columns for Quantity or just ONE column with three Restrictions.
In case it is three Columns then u can go with Text variables else probably u may have to populate it in three Columns and by using Workbook you can combine them in one Column.....i.e One column with all the restrictions -text.
And here is how u create a  text variable.....
Create text Variables,For Example ,say 0FISCALYEAR.
1)Right Click on the 0FISCALYEAR and Create a input Variable say YFISCYEAR and save.
2)If ur using 0FISCALYEAR in the RKF,then drag both the 0FISCALYEAR and KF say 0QUANTITY in the new selection.
3)After the Description of the RKF there is a = sign click on that to VIEW and CREATE Text variable.
4)Create New Variable ,enter the tech name(say YFYEAR) and dscription and in the same screen choose type Replacement PAth after which u will get a set of infobjects.
    5)choose 0FISCALYEAR
6)In the Next screen choose the Tech name of the Input variabble(0FISCALYEAR) and save.
7)In the description of the RKF ,type as 0FISCALYEAR &YFYEAR&.
    Check this too .....

  • "Filter/partition key" for full-text searching

    Hi there,
We have a challenge whereby we have a table of products by store, each store having say 200,000 products.  Basically, for each store, we want to allow searching by product name.  The best solution for this is to have full-text searching, but there
is no way to have a "filter" or "partition" key on the store ID.
So in essence what happens, the full-text search scans the entire full-text catalog for the products, then it uses the primary key to match to the table and then filters out the other stores.  Considering we have hundreds of stores in the table, this
    is not a good solution.
We contemplated adding separate indexed views and full-text catalogs for every store, but this would be a nightmare to manage.
I was expecting to see some sort of a "partition by Column" in the full-text indexes, but it doesn't exist.  This basically means we have to scrap full-text and look for a third party solution.
Does anyone have any idea how we could achieve this with just standard SQL full-text searching?

    Hi Adam,
Thank you for your question.  I am trying to involve someone more familiar with this topic for a further look at this issue. Sometime delay might be expected from the job transferring. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

  • Mac upgrade to Yosemite, Adobe Indesign CS5 keyboard shortcuts not working -  t for text  - z for zoom - v for pointer etc

So I upgraded my MACBOOK PRO (Retina, Mid 2012) 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7
    to MAC OS X YOSEMITE
Adobe Indesign CS5 generally works with some very annoying bugs.
All major keyboard shortcuts that use a single key command have stopped working. and these happen to be the main ones I use all the time for editing...
    t for text
    z for zoom
    v for pointer
It's annoying because now I have to keep  going back to the tool bar to change my cursor selection. It's just slowing me down.
    Annoying but workable.
Has anyone else go this issue?
An update or fix would be greatly appreciated.

    WARNING!!!
I was contacted by  apparently a third party supplier called Adobe Systems via this forum
They logged in to my computer via team viewer
    installed utorrent
and proceed to download a cracked version of adobe cs6
in the mean time saying on skype that Adobe no longer has Adobe CS6 on their server.
This seemed very OFF to me and I disconnected the skype (and blocked Adobe Systems) and disconnected TeamViewer
If I wanted a cracked version of Adobe CS6 I'm very capable of doing this kind of thing my self
However I run a business I want to have a legitimate licensed copy of the software running for my staff.
They were offering a fully licensed version of a Adobe Master Suite CS6 with my own unique ID for USD$400
Again very OFF considering the upgrade from Adobe from Indesign CS5 to CS6 is almost AUD$1600
I don't know how they got my email address from this forum but it seems that the adobe forum has been hacked!
    you have been warned!

  • How to use Standard Text Key in maintenance order header long text?

    Dear All,
I have created a standard text key using transaction CA10 and I want to use this in maintenance order header long text. Is there any way to select any standard text key in maintenance order header long text?
    Regards & Thanks,
    Saif

    Hi
To use standard texts, perform the following six steps:
Select the maintenance order and access the operation overview screen using Goto -->Operation overview.
You can enter standard text keys in this screen or in a detail screen for the relevant operation.
Enter a standard text key in the appropriate field and press ENTER .
If the text is longer that the short text line available, the field Text is selected for that operation.
Check the long text and edit it if necessary. To do this, select the operation and choose Operation--> Long text.
The system branches to the text editor screen. If you also entered a short text for the operation and specified that this should not be overwritten by the standard text, you will see the short text displayed in the first line of the editor. The following lines contain the standard text.
Check the standard text and change it if necessary.
Save the final version of the text and return to the previous screen with Goto--> Back.
    Save the maintenance order.
Standard texts are created for your system by your system administrator using the Customizing function.

  • Standard Text Key in order

    Hi
I created std text key in CA10
How to configure in "Assign standard texts for short messages to order types" ?
    Alagesan

The standard text key created by using CA10 will reflect against maintenance order in operation tab when selected from standard text key field in maintenance order operation tab.
For the above said function no configuration is required. what every standard text key is selected for first operation, is copied automatically in maintenance order short message (provided that short message is not given by user different then first operation).
    Hope this reply helps you.

Is there a better way to track changes to the Standard Text Key in a PM order? When I change the Standard Text Key in the Operations tab (t-code IW32) and I access the change log (menu: Extras > Other documents > Changes) I only see that the language key has been changed. I don’t see the actual Standard Text Key value. Any ideas?

Planning to implement multiple column(Userdatastore) text index on dummy column appended to organizations table. And write triggers on other child tables to trigger the sync for Text index.
But not sure whether we can rewrite this above sql query by replacing union into joins, not sure why developer has not done so.
Can anyone please help me in creating text index for this sql. I do not want to approach cartesian joins as these are having parent-child relationship.
    Oracle Version: 10.2.0.4
Please let me know if you need more information

1 .As text index is created in parent table on id column, can we somehow search only from particular columns(Parent or child) by using user_datastore and tags for sectioning it?
Below are the sql which i need to make use of text index
    select m.id from id_ALIAS_NAMEs an
    join organizations m on(m.id=an.id)
    where lower(ID_ALIAS_NAME)   like  'technology%' and m.id_data_provider<100;
    select M.id,ID_ALIAS_NAME,'ID_ALIAS_NAME' AS NAMETYPE
from id_alias_names an JOIN organizations m ON m.id=an.id
    where id_data_provider<100 AND coalesce(m.ID_COUNTRY_OF_DOMICILE,m.ID_COUNTRY_OF_INCORPORATION)='US'
    AND LOWER(ID_ALIAS_NAME) like LOWER('TECHNOLOGY%')
    and F_GetFirstWord(ORG_ALIAS_NAME)='TECHNOLOGY'
The text index must be created on a text column, not a numeric id column. It is common to create it on a dummy column. You can name that column anything you like instead of dummy, like search_columns or some such thing. You can add tags in your procedure, so that your resulting virtual column is like xml data. You can then create a section group, so that you can search within each of those tags. In the example below, I used ctxsys.auto_section_group because it is the simplest to create, but you may get better performance by using another type of section group and naming each individual tag.

  • Text of Std. Text Key in Routing operation

    Hi friends,
I am facing a problem in the operation in Routing.
I have defined a standard text key in CA10. If I assign the standard key in the Default tab in Work center and select the Work center in routing against the particular operation, the std. text key is coming automatically BUT the text in the std. text key is not getting displayed in the Description section against the operation.
But if I do not assign the std. text key in the work center and manually select the std. text key in the operation..... the text maintained in the std. text key, is getting displayed in the Description section against the operation.
I failed to make out the reason for this difference. If the std. text key maintained in the WC is getting picked up along with the WC in the opration then why the text is not getting dispalyed in the DESCRIPTION section ?
secondly, There is no where, where  the text of the Work Center ( name of the WC) is getting reflected against the operation.
Is there any report where we can get the description of the WC or that of the Std. text key against the operation ?
    Kindly help.
    Regards,
    Abhra Bose

Its a simple problem you have maintained the standard text key and its description, but not the long text. All that you need to do is in CA10 transaction enter the standard text key and click the pencil like Icon for change, then in the next screen which appears like a word pad maintain the text which you want to appear in the operation description when used.
    Example:
    Standard Text Key:
    XXXXXXX - Turning Operation
    Turning operation using CNC Machine.
    Hope this helps....

  • Strange behavior with hidden text field for drill down

    Hi All,
I am pretty sure I know the cause, just not sure how to work around...
I am trying to create a drill down report just like in the App Dev guide, and I have done everything the same as the example (2 times, once to follow the guide, and now on my app). The only difference is that I am using a text field rather than a numeric field as the link. This shouldn't be a problem (I wouldn't think) except that the text I NEED to use has '<==' in the middle. So when I check my session state var's, this is what I see:
    CHPAG0SC_MAILCDN_000000047_ CHPAG0SC_MAILCDN_000000047_ <==20060525101642
When what I should see is:
    CHPAG0SC_MAILCDN_000000047_ <==20060525101642
So I think that I am gettting duplication because of the characters, but again I don't know how to solve it.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Corey

    Hi Scott,
I am trying to create a drill down report similar to the one in the app developers guide. I have a query on pg 1 that includes the required text field as the link. When I click the link, I get an error on pg 2 - which is trying to use the value from pg 1. I did check and saw that even though I set this value in session state (I thought that was what happened when I assigned the 'name' and 'value' in the column link), it is passed in the url, which is where I figured it was breaking. As stated, I need to use this text value as it is the only unique key for the data (currently - this is a data validation step (not an ApEx validation), where users are handling issues with data uploaded from a csv).
My current process is as follows:
    1. User uploads 2 csv's
    2. Proc moves (from wwv_flow_files) and parses csv back into records and inserts into temp (all varchar2) table(s).
    3. User is displayed 3 'reports' - for each type of validation required - from the stage/temp table
    4. User would click on the 'Edit' link (like the drill down sample) to see more details about the record.
    5. Once the user is done with these reports, they would click another button to 'process' the data (move it into base tables)
Because the text field is always unique, I figured I wouldn't create a sequence for this like I have for the 'base' (destination) tables.
I didn't know that I was using a 'get' rather than a 'post', but of course it is a link, not a button - so I should ahve known better.
Is there a way to do this without adding a sequence generated id for each, or is that just the quickest way?
    Thanks again,
    Corey
