The back arrows no longer work and I don't see the url of the website I am visiting

The back and forward navigation arrows in the upper left are shaded (not opaque) and don't function. It's as if I opened a new tab to get to a website and there is no backward page to get to --- except that I navigated to the page from the same tab.

Click the orange Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable this adware which you have installed:

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Since updating to 3.6.15 today, back button no longer works and FF doesn't remember URLs

Since updating to 3.6.15 today, back button no longer works and FF doesn't remember URLs. Not just that memory of previous URLs got wiped out, it still doesn't remember the ones I've typed in since I updated. And No back button, it's really hard to use.
I went thru all the settings and could not find a way to fix this problem. What is up? I've never had this happen in any version of IE, FF, or Chrome.
Can I get back previous version? Until then, it's Chrome and IE for me.
I'll be happy to delete any plug-ins if it will make this problem go away.

Thanks. This didn't solve te problem but it seemed to have solved itself. all of a sudden it started working properly, without me even closing FF and starting it up again. Thanks Cor-el, if it happens again I'll try your solution.

Yes, but "fix" entails replacing yours with a refurbished one at a reduced cost. There is no physical fix in the sense of removing the back unless you were to do that yourself.
Damage caused by you is not covered under the warranty. You can take it to your local Apple retailer to see what can be arranged.

The Back Arrow is not working properly in hotmail, using Firefox browser

I have to click the back arrow twice to get it to work. And then it doesn't take me to the previous page I was on. It takes me to my In box. It was very useful when I had my messages sorted to show only "Unread Messages". Hitting the back arrow allowed me to go back to that list without resorting. It works fine in Internet Explorer and has only stopped working in Firefox in the past week or so. Perhaps after the last upgrade.

How do I delete an old Apple ID stuck to iCloud when the email address no longer works and neither do the passwords or security questions?

I know I shouldn't have, but I put in my new Apple ID before deleting the old one which was an email address that had shut down. Now the password, rescue address, security questions all don't work and I cannot access the old email address because it no longer works. HT4356 I got a new wireless modem. The HP 8600 no longer works and is not seen as an airport printer. The diagnostics on the printer say it is connected to the wireless.

Suddenly no wireless printing works. The printer is a HP 8600e and the wireless is turned on and the printer itself can connect to the network, but OSX no longer sees it as an airport printer and nothing prints. I've tried all the Apple support docs without success.

An old addage of troubleshooting is "First, fix what you most recently changed."
All the driver uninstall etc, was probably unnecessary.
Power cycle the router (wireless modem).
Power cycle the printer.
Now check that the printer is in the local subnet of the router.
(local subnet means router is something like 192.168.1.1, your computer is something like 192.168.1.2, and the printer is something like 192.168.1.3 - only the last part - 192.168.1.x - is allowed to be different).
Add the printer using the default printer browser window.
If this doesn't work, Reset Printing system and re-add.

HT1420 i need to de-authorise a computer for itunes but the computer is no longer working and the other computers which have be authorised have also been thrown away. How can I manage this problem?

i have previously had computers authorised for itunes but all have been thrown away or are now so broken that they do not even turn on! Please can someone tell me how I can de-authourise them and authorise at least 1 new computer? Back button no longer works in some specific situations; also, it appears that clearing cache isn't working.

The "back" button no longer works in certain specific situations on certain specific websites -- especially on the very website on which I need to use it very frequently. This has been going on for a couple of weeks.
Also, I noticed today that the "clear cache now" command doesn't seem to be working. Formerly, when I cleared the cache, I had to re-login to those websites that normally "remember" my login (because clearing the cache erased that "memory") -- but today, after using the "clear cache now" command, those websites still "remember" my login, which leads me to believe the cache didn't get cleared. Is there any other way to check whether it got cleared?
I was attempting to clear the cache in the faint hope that this might help the above "back" button problem, as no one has yet given me a solution for this that has worked. One person suggested having Firefox re-create the possibly damaged "places.sqlite" and "places.sqlite-journal" files. I tried this, but there was no change to the problem.
I think this problem started around the time I had a few Firefox crashes while using YouTube and doing something else on the computer at the same time.
I just today learned about the "crash signature" -- how to look it up, and to include it in a forum question. However, the crash log did not show these recent crashes, only some others from a few months ago. So, I'm unable to show the crash signature for this.
I'm guessing there's a chance that upgrading to a newer version of Firefox might fix this problem -- but I hesitate to do that, because it occurs to me that it also may be possible that changing the program before fixing this might make it harder to fix. I don't have enough knowledge of this software to know which is more likely, and I don't like to try things at random, in ignorance of the possible results. Also, after reading today several other forum comments from people who are unhappy with their Firefox upgrades, I hesitate to upgrade for that reason, also.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie. 
So you need to remove the cookies to make a website forget you.
