The file path and directory about the .exe file created in LabView, who knows?

I have a project, in the project, VIs and documents(.doc,.txt,.tdms,etc.) in different directories, and when the project run in the labView, it can find the directories and files, but when I created .exe file, I found the directories had changed and I didn't know the directory structure in the file, anyone know it?
Thanks for any reply!

  • How do I get the full path and filename of the current document?

    I'm writing a format plug-in. How do I obtain the full path and filename of the current image (document) from within my plug-in? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I actually just figured this out. For anyone else who would like to know, check out the propetizer sample code in the photoshop sdk. It makes a "filter" plug-in that just spits out all the properties of the document you could ever want to know about. The function I used to get the full path and filename of the current document is PIGetDocumentName(). I hope this helps someone eventually...

  • What is the correct way to format file paths and names in the structapp file?

    I am trying to create a structured application to export fm files as xml, and probably read the xml back to fm.
    In the structured application file (structapp), I need to specify the locations of the various files (DTD, read/write, template, etc). I would like to place these files on a shared server so others can use the same structapp file (that is, a cop of it). What is the correct way to format the file paths and names? Can folders folder names and file names have spaces in them? I tried the following, for example:
    \\serverName\shareName\folder 1\folder 2\file name.dtd
    I use the same format for the template file and the read/write rules file.
    When I try to save an fm file to xml, FrameMaker says that it cannot read the DTD; however, the resulting xml file appears to be well-formed. The DOCTYPE element in the resulting xml is formatted with forward slashes and spaces replaced with %20.
    I tried using forward slashes and replacing spaces with %20, but then I get an error about reading the read/write rules.
    NOTE: I have another structured application to read xml into fm. This application does not have a DTD file. The template and read/write rules files are specified as above. Except for complaining about a lack of a DTD, the application works fine; it even applies an XSLT in the process. Again, when I DO add a DTD to this latter application, I get the same complaint about not being able to read the DTD.
    I am using fully patched FrameMaker 9 in Windows XP.
    Thanks,
    Van

    Hi Van,
    The XML parser and FrameMaker are not the same thing. The Error Log says which component created which message. The XSL processor is another option that can throw messages. The "\\server\path\some.dtd" syntax in structapps.fm seems to be fine for some tools, as Internet Explorer with XML tools successfully finds the DTD which appears as "//server/path/some.dtd" in the XML. But apparently Xerxes, the XML parser bundled with FrameMaker, does not like this notation.
    If you have a path with a drive letter, "H:\path\some.dtd", FrameMaker turns that into "file:///H:/path/some.dtd". It seems, Xerces would like to see "file:/" in front of absolute paths.
    This is what I have in structapps.fm:
    Template: \\server\path\projecttemplate.fm
    DTD: some.dtd
    Read/write rules: \\server\path\projectrules.txt
    DOCTYPE: …
    Entity locations
      Entity search paths
        1: \\server\path\
    In the structapps.fm I have the DTD without path information. The resulting XML (without XSL postprocessing) then contains just the file name with a relative path back to the book folder (when saving a book as XML). It therefore requires the DTD to be available at this place. I handle this using an event script that fires for NotePreSaveXml and copies the DTD to the folder of the original document.
    As I always use XSL postprocessing and using XSLT1 it is not possible to have the doctype-system as a parameter I have this in my XSL stylesheet:
    <xsl:output doctype-system="some.dtd" />
    For the resulting XML the DTD is expected to be in the same folder as the XML file. This is handled by the same event script as above, it therefore copies the DTD to the source and the target folder.
    Bottom line: If you want/have to use UNC paths, you have to do some programming to work around a FrameMaker bug.

  • How can I determine the full path and filename of the currently opened .ai file?

    In Photoshop, right clicking the file name of the opened file in progress shows an option "Reveal in Explorer" so I know exacly where the file was opened from.
    In Lightroom, it is displayed in the metadata.
    New to illustrator, I have looked at loads of menu options get cannot see how to find this information.
    Would be grateful for some help.

    +1 for what Larry said if you are on OS X. You can then scroll through and select any of the listed items and when clicked upon it will take you to that folder/location.
    Not that it would offer ease of use or a better method, but you could also use a simple script to retrieve this info as another alternative method:
    Example Structure:
    alert("File Path/Location:\n" + File.decode(app.activeDocument.fullName));
    Results the Below Alert:
    alert("File Path/Location:\n" + File.decode(app.activeDocument.fullName).split('/').join('\n/ '));
    Results the Below Alert:
    But again, not that this approach would offer ease of use or a better method, just another alternative method (It works in my quick tests).

  • Get the absolute path and filename of the file from the command line

    Hi,
    when we run the class we give the command
    java <filename>
    How can I capture the filename given above and get its absolute path inside the
    public static void main(String [] args){}
    args[0] gives me the command line argument after the filename. How do I capture the filename itself from the command line argument and also get that files absolute path
    Thanks

    I don't know of any way to capture the java command input, but there are ways to find out where the application is being run from. (the "absolute path")

  • Mifi 4510L Mifi Hotspot...is it the network? and what about the firmware update?

    I have spent several months trying to seek a solution on the repeated and frequent disconnects from the Verizon wireless network using my Mifi 4510 L.  No success.  I have conversed with Verizon Wireless "experts" on this matter and have basically been ignored, since they do not have a solution. It has cost me a pretty penny in wireless costs due to lost connections in downloads, etc...for which I do not get any credit from Verizon on my wireless bill...go figure.
    I have even been accused by Verizon that the problem is my computer and hardware, even though I have ran several hardware, software, and "real-life" connection checks on other wireless networks with no issues at all.  I even have been getting better connectivity when I use my Verizon USB UML290...but I hate having to switch moving my SIM card from the USB Modem to the MIfi4510L...one of these days the SIM card will fail. Verizon has checked the signal strength at my home and work locations (which I already knew as good), but never heard back from them.
    Anyway,  I have verified that my wireless network adapter works just fine on other wireless networks (no dropouts, etc).  I have even upgraded to another Windows Operating System - Windows 7...which is more superior than Vista in dealing with wireless communications.  I have implemented quite a number of the solutions provided by other great Verizon Wireless Community members, but the connectivity problems continue to occur.
    When I did a review of my wireless hardware logs, I noticed that when I was encountering problems, the dynamically assigned address given to me on the Verizon Wireless network changed quite a bit, even when I was using the same web site. When my wireless connection worked fine, the dynamically assigned address was consistent.  This seemed to change when I encounter peak network load times.
    I would appreciate a straight answer from Verizon Wireless on what is going on with the network.  I live in a solid 3G coverage area...but just far away from 4G to benefit for the increased throughput.  The closest 4G location footprint is about 40 miles away from me.
    Finally, what about the Mifi 4510 L firmware update?  I have yet to see any notification about this firmware update, either through normal e-mail channels or even through my Mifi configuration site
    http://192.168.1.1/mifi.cgi
    What gives?
    I realize that I am sounding a little perturbed about this matter, but it has been almost 4 months now...and Verizon is not living up to their part of the bargain on providing good tech support on the Mifi 4510L.  When they do not have an answer...they ignore the customer.   Not good business!!!

    The firmware update was released a few weeks ago and there were multiple threads in this forum for it:
    Software Update: Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi™ 4510L
    The firmware update primarily addresses a problem with the MiFi switching from 3G to 4G and back.  I would not expect it to resolve a connection issue for anyone in a 3G only area.  Work through the firmware update instructions included in the link above and see if it helps.
    There were no email notifications but the MiFi should have been redirecting you to the MiFi homepage every time you tried to browse the internet.  The firmware update is mandatory so if you have not already completed the update then there might be something wrong with your device.

  • Dynamic File Name and Directory File Sender Adapter

    Hello gurus,
    I have a question: Is there any way to make the File Name, and Directory Dynamic of a File Sender Communication Channel ?
    For example, taking it as a parameter from a Web Service Request.. (I mean, the only way with this would be a ccBPM). I don't exactly know if there is a way, I just thought about this.
    Please tell me if someone could make Dynamic these 2 parameters while picking a file.
    Regards,
      Juan

    oops,thought i was replying to the PgP question:)
    I think you should be able to achieve this via adapter module but i m not really sure how exactly it will be done .
    Thanks

  • FTP adapter should take file path and name at runtime..

    Hello All,
    I have requirement of getting the file from remote machine into local machine..thinking FTP adapter should help me to do this..
    I dont need to poll the remote directory. rather I will pass the exact path and name of the file to be fetched during runtime as an input to the bpel process.
    How to configure the FTP Adapter to receive the file path runtiime and gets it to local machine.
    Is it doable using ftp adapter..?
    Thanks
    Saikrishna

    Hello Anne,
    Thank you for the help.
    I am not able to call a adapter partner link using invoke activity..I am facing variable type conflicts.
    modified the
    OutboundFtpHeaderType wsdl to take file name and directory as:
    <complexType>
    <sequence>
    <element name="*fileName*" type="string"/>
    <element name="*directory*" type="string"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    Using Adapters tab of Invoke activity created a variable:
    <variable name="outputVariable"
    messageType="client:FTPadapterResponseMessage"/>
    <variable name="*filePath*" messageType="ns2:OutboundHeader_msg"/>
    Using Assign Activity, assigned the input varibales to the ftp outboundHeader variable:
    <assign name="Assign_1">
    <copy>
    <from variable="inputVariable" part="payload"
    query="/client:FTPadapterProcessRequest/client:*directory*"/>
    <to variable="*filePath*" part="outboundHeader"
    query="/ns2:OutboundFTPHeaderType/ns2:directory"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from variable="inputVariable" part="payload"
    query="/client:FTPadapterProcessRequest/client:*filename*"/>
    <to variable="*filePath*" part="outboundHeader"
    query="/ns2:OutboundFTPHeaderType/ns2:fileName"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    Used the created variable in the invoke activity as a input paramater to the partner link:
    <invoke name="Invoke_1" partnerLink="ftpAdapterTest"
    portType="ns1:SynchRead_ptt" operation="SynchRead"
    inputVariable="*filePath*" bpelx:inputHeaderVariable="filePath"/>
    <reply name="replyOutput" partnerLink="client" portType="client:FTPadapter"
    operation="process" variable="outputVariable"/>
    I am getting an error in invoke activity:
    Variable type does not match the input type.
    Thanks

  • HOw to create a text file in the given path and delete it after the use?

    Hi all,
    I am trying to create a text file at the given path and delete the created file after the use.
    I am using following code.:
    import java.io.*;
    // write binary data as characters
    public class RanIO {
                                            public static void main(String f[])
                                                      // First illustrate append
                                                      String lineSep = "\n";
                                                      try {
                                                                     File temp= new File("C:/Ash","cute.txt");
                                                      boolean ch=temp.createNewFile();
                                                      if(ch)
                                                           System.out.println("file created");
                                                      else
                                                      System.out.println("file Not created");
                                                      //writing to file
                                                 /*     PrintWriter p = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("cute.txt",true)));
                                                      p.print("Emp NO");
                                                      p.close();*/
                                                                // Open fileWriter in append mode
                                                                               FileWriter fos = new FileWriter(temp, true);
                                                                               BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(fos);
                                                                               PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(fos);
                                                                               double d=550;
                                                                          // lineSep = System.getProperty("line.separator");
                                                                          pw.print("Hello");
                                                                          //pw.print( lineSep );
                                                                          pw.print( d );
                                                                          pw.close();
                                  boolean det=temp.delete();
                                                 if(det)
                                                      System.out.println("File deleted");
                                                 else
                                                      System.out.println("File not deleted");
                                                 } catch (IOException ioe)
                                                                System.out.println( "Append IO error:" + ioe );
    My problem:
    1)
    I am not able to write to the file. I want to know, where i am going wrong.
    It is giving error message like
    "Canot resolve Symbol: temp,"
    But, FileWriter Constructor should accept a File type parameter.
    here temp is a file parameter.
    If i am not using file=new file();
    i can't delete the file after the use. i.e if i use
    PrintWriter p = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("cute.txt",true)));
    how can i delete cute.txt after the use?
    2)
    I am not able to write to the text file. file is created but, a blank file.
    "Hello" is not written into the text file.
    can anyone help me in this regard
    Thanks in advance
    Ashvini

    Thank you Ram,
    But, i want to create a text file in Append mode.
    for that i used
    FileWriter fos = new FileWriter(temp,true); But, it is not accepting FileWriter constructor in
    this format. if i use
    FileWriter fos = new
    FileWriter("c:/ash/cute.txt",true); it works fine. !!!!!Here's the javadoc
    public FileWriter(File file,
    boolean append)
    throws IOExceptionConstructs a FileWriter object given a File object. If the second argument is true, then bytes will be written to the end of the file rather than the beginning.
    Parameters:
    file - a File object to write to
    append - if true, then bytes will be written to the end of the file rather than the beginning
    Throws:
    IOException - if the file exists but is a directory rather than a regular file, does not exist but cannot be created, or cannot be opened for any other reason
    Since:
    1.4
    Are you using jdk.13 or lower ?

    ONe more doubt, Does flush method deletes a file?
    if not, then i need to use
    File temp=new File("c:/ash/cute.txt");
    FileWriter fos = new FileWriter(temp,true); //which
    is again a problem
    if(temp.delete())
    out.println("File is deleted");
    }I don't know whether i am taking it wrong ! or
    anything wrong with my coding ! but, after creating
    and writing data into a text file. I must delete it
    as it contains confidential informations.
    Regards,
    Thanks.'flush' writes to a file immediately. Else you should explicitly call 'flush' to write contents from buffer to underlying source.
    javadoc again
    PrintWriter
    public PrintWriter(Writer out,
    boolean autoFlush)Create a new PrintWriter.
    Parameters:
    out - A character-output stream
    autoFlush - A boolean; if true, the println, printf, or format methods will flush the output buffer
    cheers,
    ram.
    Question; What do you gain by opening a file, writing to it and deleting it in the same program ?

    Hi all ,
    I am using LSMW for creating  the BOM of a material .
    I am getting problem at step 7 , saying the logical path is pointing to physical directory .
    Then i did some R & D . I created the logical path and logical file name using transaction FILE . Then i got the physical path using FM file_get_name.
    But when i give those logical path and logical file names , still i am getting prob.... at step 7 of lsmw.
    Pls let me know . I did my best unti l now ....

    Hi Raj,
    Can you send the Error which you got at Step 7??
    It would be of great help if you can send the File Path and the file names you have used.

    You can't with the built-in Photos app, but there are apps such as iPhoto which allow you to see the exposure details (aperture, shutter speed, focal length, ISO). PhotoMeta also shows you that info
