Theme Import in EP6SP9

Hi All,
I have exported few themes from EP6SP2 now I want those themes on EP6SP9. Pl. help me from where I can Import those themes in EP6SP9. Both are different systems, EP6SP9 is fresh instaled.
Regards,
Prakash

Hi Prakash,
Theme Archive is an iView which should be in the "System Admin" role (pcd:portal_content/administrator/system_admin/system_admin_role)
(so Portal Content -> Portal Administrators -> System Administrators -> System Admin)
It's integrated in this role via a delta-link of the workset "System Admin" (pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/administrator/system_admin/worksets/com.sap.portal.system_admin_ws)
(so Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> Admin Content -> System Administrators -> Worksets -> System Administration)
You can check if you are able to find it in the PCD and assign yourself a role that integrates the iView.
Hope this helps,
Robert

  • How do I export only certain bookmarks, them import those certain bookmarks ?

I have tons of bookmarks. I have them in certain folders. If you backup or export it backs up and exports all bookmarks. How do I backup or export only certain bookmarks, so that I can import those certain bookmarks on another computer without having to import ALL the bookmarks....??
    thanks
    ken

You will have to edit all bookmarks to an HTML file and edit that file to only keep the wanted bookmarks.<br />
Firefox still doesn't have a way to only export specific bookmarks.

  • Is it possible to design a webpage in ID (5.5) them import to DW (5.5)?

I am working on my companies website, despite the fact i am not a web designer.  I am a student in multi media, and technically my job is video editing.  Just throwing that in so you know how very little i know about web design.
If i could possibly design my page in ID then import it to DW it would make my life very easy. Well thats my theory, i figure people with experience would be able to give me some advice.
    Thanks All!!

If i could possibly design my page in ID then import it to DW it would make my life very easy.
If it were that easy, then everyone would be a web developer.  So, no, you can't do that.  Well, technically you can, but the pages you would get would break unexpectedly on the web.  Why?  ID is a PRINT application.  Your page size is always going to be 8.5x11 or whatever.  The web is not so rigid - the page size will be determined by the local browser's default settings, among other things, and these are all things that you cannot control.  So ID would take a 'rigid' graphic and create a 'rigid' page, and that page would break on a large percent of your viewer screens.
Unfortunately for you, there's no easy button.  This is ESPECIALLY true if you are building your company's public face (the website).  Somebody there is sitting on their brains having decided to give this job to a first-timer.  But it is what it is.
Do yourself and your company a BIG favor and tell them that before you lay pen to paper (speaking metaphorically), you need to take a break to familiarize yourself with the technology.  Then spend some significant time learning the ins and outs of HTML and CSS -

  • Theme Import  Error in themes editor.

    Hi All,
I am using NW04s SP07 for which I have installed the Themes Editor Plugins.
When I try to import a client provided theme into NWDS (SAP UR Design Perspective), an error pops up:
The Design could not be imported. No portalData available. The stream that should be imported seems not to contain valid design data.
Please help me resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Radhika
You have to use Eclipse for theme editing.
You can find the installed eclipse executable along with the NWDS executable at Program FilesSAPIDEIDE70eclipse or You can either download the fresh version from:

  • Thinkpad Theme import

I have made clean install to switch to UEFI mode (recovery partition is only for legacy), everything is OK, but is there a way how to import default Thinkpad Theme? Its really small think, but just for my information. Not only desktop bakground but also this background on welcome screen. I saw some special folder on preinstalled disk C with some things, but do not know, if its usable. Thanks for info.

I never made recovery discs. I just backed up the Recovery partition. The two VHD's are all you really need; one is the usual System Reserved drive, the other is the usual C drive. Not sure how it works with recovery discs, though.

  • Iphoto'11 new slideshow theme importing to Aperture3

I'm using Aperture3(of course, i've upgraded it to ver 3.1.3).
And i also finished to install iphoto'11.
    But I can't use iphoto'11's new slideshow themes(like places, origami...) on Aperture3.
they are not in the list of slideshow themes.
i know they are supposed to be added automatically when i install ilife'11.
What's the problem on my mac?
Plus, I'd installed ilife'11 with installation DVD. is it a cause?
One more question. After installing ilife'11, there's still a purchase button on Mac app store.

    Hello Mazza,
I would recommend rebuilding the iphoto library with this article:
iPhoto 6 and later: Rebuilding the iPhoto library
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2638
If your version of iPhoto is 9.3 or greater, follow the library first aid options at the bottom of the article.
    All the best,

  • Older Theme Import?

Since my video is all SD, I plan to use 4:3 rather than 16:9 projects. The 4:3 themes don't seem to have been installed by default, but instead must be downloaded from the internet or installed from the application DVD. Trouble is, the way it attempts to download them uses Software Update, which (correctly) determines that my software is up-to-date and refuses to download anything. When I try to use the application DVD to install the themes to my iDVD 7.0.4, it gives me this error: "This update requires iDVD version 7.0 or newer."
I'm stumped. Any idea how I can get those older themes?

Kool! Glad you got it working.

  • Mini-DV footage does not import into IMOVIE/ Camera not recognized

Sony Mini DV tapes do not import footage using firewire. Camera is not recognized. I have done all the troubleshooting suggested. unplug, plug in, turn on, off, etc. I have bought new firewires and tried to import with many different mini-dv camcorders, sony, panasonic. It worked before, but not now.
I teach in a multiple mac computer lab and have 20 computers, non of them import, although they did earlier. Student-use film lab. HELP!

    Hi Harm,
Yes, that's exactly what I do with my EX3 footage too - ignore the XML error messages. That's a bit buggy in it's own right, well, not buggy but it should really recognise the EX folder/file structure and ignore the XML files - maybe one for a feature request!
The 350 is a great camera - very much more sensitive and lower noise than the EX3.
I still like the EX3 though, as it's small and light (relatively!) - the 350 is very light though in comparisson to other shoulder mount cameras. Nice low power consumption too
Some things I miss from the EX3 - like the joystick menu button and the direct edit of parameters on the VF that the EX3 has. I also like the EX3 picure profile system over the 350 way of storing profiles (more similar to the 700 I believe).
    Cheers,
    Paul.

  • When I load email messages from one Thunderbird program to another in the outbox, then I can send them all in one go. I have to re-open each message and send it

I have two computer terminals. One is connected to internet. THen I have another with an internal network set-up, not connected to internet. Thunderbird installed on both. I download emails on the internet computer, export the messages on a USB stick and import them in my Thunderbird in the other computer. Answer the emails, then export from the outbox and them import to the outbox on my internet computer in Thunderbird. This has worked fine up to now, but since some days I can't send the emails after having imported them in my outbox. I have to reopen each email and send it, and then it goes. But I can't just click send and it sends all one after one. what happens is it processes the email for about a minute and then gives an error message. On each email. What to do?

The copying is for security reasons, I want to be able to keep email comm on an internal server that can't be accessed through internet.
The error message I get is: "Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator."
It worked some days ago so I don't understand what's different now.

  • Importing from a hard drive

    1) I downloaded some movie clips directly from my camera's memory card - the rest I downloaded from an Epson photo storage device. The ones directly downloaded from the camera can be imported into iMovie all at once, but those that came off of the Epson device - on to my hard drive - seem to be able to be imported only one at a time (and I have many) ... is there a way around this so that I can import them all at once (right now when I select a range - the Import button is greyed out)?
    2) When I did import the clips (from the camera) into iMovie - they came into a project I had open. I removed them, but it changed the folder date from 2007 to 2008 - how can I change it back to 2007 and then create a 2008 ... which shouldn't it have done that automatically?
    3) What is the difference between an Event and a Project?
    4) When I import a movie into iMovie (or a photo into iPhoto) is it creating another copy of it on disk? I asked this of support - and was told "No." But when I look at the size of the related library - it's very large ... so something must copied there.
I am using iMovie08 ... sorry for more than one question per post, but ... THANKS!

Open iMovie and under file select Import Movies,, a window will open with a few options for importing from various places, if you card is inserted in you Epson or you camera is connected with the card installed you should be able to import the file using this manner. You will notice you can select where you want the movies saved and as an existing event or to create new event. You should select create new event, name it what you want and then select if you havent already the clips you want associated with that title and the format you want them imported, I always use full or the best possible resolution for the camera used.
An event is the title to a clip or group of clips associated as you title it with an event, such as "trip to hong kong" would contain all your clips from your trip and as you edit and move the clips into a project that will be uploaded to the web or transfered to iDVD or something it is saved as a project.

  • InDesign refuses to import Word doc

    Hello.
Ran into a strange one today.  I have 27 word docs to assemble into a book.  Most of them import (Command "D") perfectly. But 6 of the docs have an end note styled into a table.  When i import these i get the import options box but when i'm finished there the rainbow wheel comes up and then... nothing.
On my import options dialogue box i have everything on the "Include" field checked, For formatting i have "Remove Styles" checked and local formatting preserved.  I've also tried it with Preserve Formatting from Text and Tables but it's the same result.
This isn't a huge deal because I can spend a little extra time and just reassemble the tables by hand in InDesign.  But what's got me doubly perplexed is that when i go to copy the content from the Word doc and paste it into InDesign all the formatting is retained except for "superscript"  My client has his footnotes marked in superscripted arabic numerals. But when i paste them into the InDesign document they are lowercase, full-size roman numerals.
So I think there must be some import preference somewhere that's making this happen.  Any ideas?
    Erik

Having some similar issues in regards to font attributes that are very strange to me.  I hope it's something obvious that you can point to. When i import some Word documents into an InDesign CS4 document the font families are changed.  The original Word document uses an Arial font with local overrides for bold and italics.  When i import it I am told that "Calbri" is missing in four different flavors: regular, bold, italic and bold italic.  But Calbri is not anywhere in the original document. No problem right, I mean just use the Missing Font dialogue box to replace the fonts with the ones used in the InDesign document (Cronos MM).  But even though i've specified the fonts that are to be replaced what comes in is ONLY Cronos regular and even though i replaced bold with bold everything is of the regular weight.  Bleh.
And when i copy from the original Word doc (Arial font) and paste it into InDesign it by default pastes it as Times (TT) and again all formatting is lost.
Is my InDesign CS4 set up wrongly?  Is there some preference hidden away that's tweaking all of this?  I know i'm asking a lot of questions, including the original tables import question, but if anyone has any insight i would kiss your feet.

I think that I can gin up some rough answers for you; no foot-worship, please. In reverse order, because your last questions are the least indeterminite:
And when i copy from the original Word doc (Arial font) and paste it into InDesign it by default pastes it as Times (TT) and again all formatting is lost.
I have pasting set up to be stripped of all styles; I paste raw text only. You might not be pasting raw text; the setting is in the Clipboard Handling section of the preferences. If you are pasting raw text, then look inside your Basic Paragraph style; I'd bet that when you paste you are acquiring the settings of Basic Paragraph. To prevent this, only paste text into a text frame where there is already styled text.
Um, do you have any footnotes, endnotes, TOC, or index in these Word docs? You can highlight all the text in Word and change it to Arial or Cronos or whatever, but there are some Word features (for example, automatically generated footnote numbers) that are given styles that are carefully hidden from the end user. You have to dig really deep into Word in order to find 'em. They can use whatever font is specified in the style.
Also, I think I must be misreading your post, or you must have posted something misleading, because I can't tell if your Word doc is set in Arial or Cronos. It sounds like you're trying to replace Arial Bold with Cronos Bold with Find Font in ID and getting Arial Bold replaced with Cronos Regular. Which is odd, but I don't want to try explaining that until I'm sure I understand your question.
So, you're removing styles, but preserving overrides. That will keep the manually applied italics and bold, but you'll lose all of the styles. You must be doing this on purpose. What do you get out of it? Because, if you're stripping all styles, then the formatting applied is either coming from InDesign or coming from Word. If it's coming from ID, you should ask yourself "what's in my paragraph styles?" because that is where Calibri will be hiding. If it's coming from Word, you should ask yourself "what is being hidden by the "Normal" style?" Because if your Normal style is Arial text, it's getting stripped out when you place the document.
I really can't figure out your initial question at all. I would guess that, going back to the beginning of my post, you have ID set up to copy styles and formatting on your clipboard. I've always hated that and have no idea how it works, but I would guess that the superscript footnote numbers are not actually superscript numbers with styles manually applied, but more Word auto-symbol styling that is concealed from the end user. That kind of stuff crashes InDesign - it also crashes Word too, when it gets even a tiny bit broken.

  • Is there a way to import text into an inDesign layout randomly from multiple word docs?

i'd like to start out by thanking everyone for the help with the text box or stroke around text/paragraph, the advise has definitely helped.. What i'm wondering now is, is there a way to take multiple docs "wether it be a word doc or an indesign doc" and have them import or insert into our main layout in inDesign randomly or by taking one paragraph from each individual doc 1 after the other till each paragraph is inserted..
    To give you an idea:
say i hav 4 text docs each doc is a category so to say, each with anywhere from 25 to 100 paragraphs.. each paragraph is it's own item or description.. each of these descriptions or items so to say needs to be in our layout each week, but randomly.. Currently we are using the cut and paste method to achieve the randomness in our layout.. I'm hoping theres an easier way..
-if this is something inDesign can't do, might there be an alternative.. say an external app. that might achieve this for us?

well.. we've come up with some sort of solution that seams to work well for what we want.. we combined each doc into an excel doc with each paragraph on it's own line.. then added extra columns in excel to input random numbers and letters -that can be changed weekly, so we can use the sort feature in excel to reorder all the paragraphs.. next we copy and paste from excel to inDesign, because importing an excel doc seams to be more agravation than it's worth..
-this seems like it will work well for what we need to do, though curiouse if anyone else might have an alternative solution?
    as always thxs..
