Things to add if deploying report to oracle ebs

hi,
im using 12.1.3
i have created a new report. i would like to deploy the report on oracle ebs. I know i must create a user variable p_conc_request_id, what else i need to add?

What is the type of the concurrent program? I believe all the requirements are listed in the Developer guide.

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
Is the issue with this specific concurrent program?
Can you find any errors in the CM/OPP log files?

Deploying reports on Oracle app server

Hi
Our current application has Oracle reports deployed on Oracle AS and Oracle Report Server. Can we replicate same scenario for Crystal report.
Means can we use Crystal Report on Oracle App Server / Oracle Report Server. Or do I need to use Crystal report Server

Oracle Report Font problem when run report from oracle EBS R12

Dear All
I have developed one Report in ORACLE REPORT BUILDER in windows environment. I see the output of that report, its ok, I deployed it on the EBS R12 which is on Linux environment, when i see the output, its fonts totally change and due to change in fonts, output not same as like in previous stage. When i print from dot matrix Printer then sometime its shrink the character and sometime break the output..
Kindly help me in this regard, because this problem i am facing from last few days.

I have changed the fonts in the report, but when i run it from the EBS its has the same problem. from the EBS output font look like as (COURIER) rather than CALIBRI WESTERN.

Unable to open XML report in Oracle EBS r12

Hi,
I have new installation of Oracle EBS r12 (12.1.1) on linux.
To test the XML report, I changed the output of standard report 'Active Users' from 'Text' to 'XML' and defined the data definition and template for this report.
I am unable to see the output for XML reports. The report completes without error, however I cannot open the output file.
The browser opens for fraction of a second and then closes down. My client machine is Windows 7 and I used Microsoft words 2010 to build template
I used the 5.7.201 version of BI publisher to create the rtf template.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

if concurrent failed so first of all check your code - data template and package (if used)

Deploying reports in Oracle portal concept questions

How does the portal know about database instances?
Hypothetically, userid parameter is set to abc/123@test. How does the portal know where the "test" instance is?

since you mention the userid parameter i assume you are talking about Oracle Reports rather than portal reports.
in fact, portal only submits a request to the reports server and the reports server uses regular tnsnames resolution to find out where test is.

Bob,
The version of Reports that I think you're looking for is Reports 2.5, which has been desupported. Someone in your account team may be able to find this version lying around (or someone else from the board may be able to help you).
That said, you may want to try installing a later version on a PC and seeing if you can connect across SQL*Net and create and execute the reports. This is an unsupported configuration, but it may work (I don't think that we in Oracle have ever tested it).

Deploying reports to 9ias

Is there a standard way to move Oracle reports to a 9ias server? Should they be put in a specific directory? I have not seen this documented anywhere.
Please advise

I assume you want to deploy "rdf" reports.
1) You can put it in any directory and set the path in REPORTS_PATH registry variable (HKLM\Software\Oracle\Home<x>)
2) Alternatively you can publish reports in Portal.

I downloaded developer suite.does this developer suite includes 10g database also.becoz there are two disks for the developer suite whereas there was only one disk for oracle 10g datbase that i downloaded earlier and installed.if this developer suite includes database,reports and forms then do i need to uninstall the previous data base 10g that i installed.please help me regarding this.

Hi,
Well you just need to create a directory in paste your forms there, and then make an entry in the formsweb.cfg file and forms.conf files. Likewise there are entries for the images and report.

Deploying 6i RDF reports into Oracle Reports 10g

Hi
We need urgent help on the below requirement,
We have installed Oracle 10g Standalone Report Server (Oracle 10g Business Intelligence),
We have some 6i RDF reports which are needed to be deployed into the newly installed 10g Report Server,
had anybody done this before?
