This is probably a stupid question, but what does the red circle with a number in it mean on iCal? It looks just like the emails notification. I do not have anything do or up in my cal.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.

HI, i just updated both my itunes and my iphones to the newest update relased on 10/23/2013. as i was updating it, my phone said there was an error and i had to restore it, terible huh? it gets worse. I synced all my music back into my phone, but next to each song there was a red circle with a stop sign in the middle, i clicked on the song and it just skipped to the next song. what does it mean ??

Here is what I tried.
1)Plug your phone into your computer and let it sync
2) Go through your songs and fast forward through each and everyone of them on your phone, that way all the ones that wont play will have stop signs next to them.
3) Then go into intunes and go to "file" then "devices" then click transfer purchases from "..."
That's what I did and it helped

I'm exhausted! Trying to find an answer to WHY iTunes won't allow me to drag a song to my iPod Nano? It was originally an MP3; I unzipped the file; I played it in iTunes song list; it had a ! next to it; iTunes asked if it should find the file; iT found the file; the ! was removed; I played it again in iT; when I tried to drag it to my iPod, THERE WAS A RED CIRCLE WITH A LINE THRU IT???? I have yet to find--i googled and youtubed and appled til my eyes and brain and fingers ached and burned ;(--what the SYMBOL means?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I have been able to download similar audio of this nature...Not sure why this one is BLOCKED?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
From your description "little circle with a line in it", that sound like a symbol when you are trying to do a cannot do operation.
What exactly are you doing in your edit activities when you see this circle with a line in it? Is it at the end of the mouse cursor?
Can you post a screenshot of it?
If my first impression of what this is happens to be correct, then "How do I get rid of it?" answer comes from
a. defining what you want to do
and
b. correcting any mis-steps you are taking in doing that

I just got a Zen V, got it yesterday. Haven't added anything to it, just poking around in the settings. However, I can't find ANYWHERE to change the date and time. The date shows April , 2005, and the time is incorrect. All I can find is where to change the alarm time. Please help!?Thanks

Press "Command P" and when the Print dialogue box comes up, towards the bottom there is an option allowing you to choose the text size, i.e: small, med, large.

I'm not sure how your question relates to apps and games on the iPad. This is the Using iPad forum. I have never downloaded an app in the Mac App Store. The information that I provided is in reference to games and apps using the iPad, but I assume that the Mac App Store works the same way.
Bearing in mind that I have never downloaded from the App Store on the Mac, as I can best remember, only Apple applications and software updates would show up via Software Update. For instance, prior to the Mac App Store in Snow Leopard, any updates that were or are available in any third party applications on the Mac would have their own updaters and will not be available via Software Update. Microsoft Office for example had it's own Microsoft Updater application and those updates never came via Software Update. Software update does not work for third party apps.
Apparently, if you purchase for the Mac App Store, updates are indicated like they are on the iPad with the red number in the circle on the App Store icon in the dock.

I get a red circle with a line through it. Why would it work from itunes to ipod but not to my iphone? HELP!!!

That means that you have an event invitation. Click on the envelope icon in the bottom left corner of the iCal window to display the invitation and choose what to do with it.

Probably a stupid question, but humor me.

My MacBook Pro is currently on its way here, and odd little questions keep popping into my head. The latest of which being: Should I worry about the MagSafe magnets messing with my Nano? When using my iBook, I tend to keep my iPod on the left side of the computer and...well, I should think that Apple would have enough foresight to make sure it wouldn't do anything to iPods, but I'd just like to be sure. Anyone?

Ok, so about your iPod nano: in the user's guide of the MBP, it warns users to keep their iPods away from the magsafe magnets for the reason that magnetic media (i.e. credit cards and larger iPods) can be erased or damaged by magnets. As for your iPod nano, I'm pretty sure that the nano and shuffle run off of flash memory instead of an internal hard drive like the larger iPods and flash memory can't be damaged by magnetism. Besides this, (yours is after all a nano and not a shuffle) you will not be plugging your iPod directly into the USB port right beside the MagSafe outlet - there will be the cord distancing it from it and also, the MagSafe's magnetic field is only about a half an inch from the magnet. Hope hope this answers your question.

How does one change computers and using iTunes copy my ipod play lists and songs to the new computer? I have copied the ones I have purchased, but when I try to sync it it says that it will erase teh ipod and add the new library and that would just be the ones I have purchased. Help! Thanks so much!
