How do i connect my macbook pro retina display to lcd projector?
Depends on what type of video connection the projector accepts. Most common would be DVI, VGA or HDMI. Review this article for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3235

When I open image capture it only shows the photos that were taken from my phone and not the other ones. Please help. Thanks.

I am trying to connect my MacBook Pro (early 2011 w/ Intel HD 3000/ 384Mb) to an external display with a 2560x1440 resolution. Specifically, what cable/connections do I need to display at this resolution? I cannot get the display to work using a "Thunderbolt to HDMI" or a "Thunderbolt to DVI" connector. Note: I used both older and newer (uni-directional) HDMI cables on the first config, and a Dual-link DVI cable on the second config. Apple specs state this is possible ( support.apple.com/kb/SP619 ), but I am at a loss as to how this can be done. Thanks in advance for the help!
You use a Mini DisplayPort to either HDMI or dual-link DVI adapter. If that component doesn't work, something's wrong with either the cable or something else in the connection.

HT1338 How to connect my MacBook Pro to my 23" Cinema HD Display?
My MacBook Pro has a Thunderbolt port and I have just bought a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adaptor to connect to my 23" Cinema HD Display which works fine on my old MacBook Pro.
However, although my new MBP can detect the display, the monitor does not switch on and there is no sign of life.
Any thoughts, please? Here you go - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5019 - Use Video Mirroring.. if it fails
- Shutdown disconnect the power for the cinema display, leave the mag safe on the MBP reset the smc - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Also i have questions about the following that you mentioned - However, although my new MBP can detect the display, the monitor does not switch on and there is no sign of life. <--- is your 23 Cinema HD display plugged into power / Magsafe ??
Which Cinema display do you have this one - http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Apple_LED_Cinema_Display.pdf
or This one ? http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/CinemaDisplays_20_23_30inchUserGuide.pdf ?? -
I have just bought a macbook pro 13" with retina display and a 27" thunderbolt display to go with it.
I plug in the display, set it all up to the look and format that I want to use (same for both displays, I am using the mirroring feature), and then when I unplug the macbook from the 27" display it's settings revert and I can't see half my windows as they fall off the edge of the smaller macbook screen.
Is there a way to make the macbook keep the same display settings, even when I unplug it from the 27" display? Not that I know of... but if someone comes along with a method, I would certainly be interested...

I've tried for a few days to figure out why I cannot be sure that my iTunes back-up to an external drive has "worked" or not. I finally decided to try to transfer the content from the external drive to my newer MacBook Pro. I already knew that the number of songs on the newer laptop were fewer than what are on my older one. (I basically only use my older MacBook Pro now for iTunes.) But today, still had not luck. There is still a difference of over 100 songs appearing on the iTunes of the newer laptop than are on the older one.
I'm pretty sure that I just don't undertand the Apple article very well: "ITunes: back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive."
This would not be so frustrating for me did I not have over 3000 songs, imported from CDs that I myself own, in my old laptop. The thought of redoing this import is, well, tiring to say the least.Go through the below forum with similar issue and follow the process mentioned by "Macjack" in the beginning.

How do I connect my macbook pro to my samsung smart tv its the D7000 and has all share?
My suggestion is to get the magic trackpad, magic keyboard and magic wand and connect a DVI to HDMI cable and use the MBP in clamshell (closed) mode. This will allow you to run 1080P into the TV and essentially use the Samsung as a HUGE monitor. At that point you can use the TV itself to display whatever you want off the laptop or simply switch inputs and stream stuff out of smarthub as usual. I tried to connect mine via allshare (by the way samsung has the free allshare download of software for the PC but not the mac.) and while i DID have some succes (under windws) i had to run a non secure connection and in the end the cool factor wasn't worth the hassle, to me anyway. It was sort of a "cool i did it" now why bother..... Hope this helps.
